Reviews of Homeslice City

As great and simple as usual. You go there for a solid, down to earth, delicious well priced oven baked pizza that is its own kind and compares to nothing else.
It is buzzy, busy, and you’ll probably have to wait but totally worth it. Favourite ever is the brisket pizza.
C. C.
So far, my best pizza experience this year.
Crispy base, which is the premium from the stone kiln on site. Not every sourdough pizza shop would be able to make this. No wet base at all!
Toppings are good blending of flavor and guilt(cheese and oil). Salami is very decent. And it is not adding extra sugar/honey.
£4 per slice, leaving little room to complain.
L. S.
Nice atmosphere, very friendly and nice staff, very good customer service and delicious pizza. We had half and a half and it was so good we could replace some ingredients as well. Very big size that was enough for four and very reasonably priced. I just would like if they have more pizza options.
A. S.
Cannot fault it. Enormous, delicious pizza which can also be bought by the slice. The restaurant boasts a great interior in a very nice City location. Staff are friendly and everything comes quickly. Reasonably priced too.
A. J.
Lovely atmosphere, good food. Would recommend the Margherita with extra mozzarella!
We got the half and half Margherita/mushroom ricotta

Had a great time here, the staff were nice too. I really likes the vegetarian pizza as it has some spice to it too. However, the vegan pizza not so much. There was way too much oil on it. Like..... alot.... I cause she small puddles of oil on the pizza and it when I tried to pick it up, it was dripping all over my plate, hands down to arms, and my chin too, no matter how neatly I was trying to eat. The first think I could taste for a bite was just oil. It felt like i was eating a bowl of oil... i could no way finish that 1 slice of pizza. It was just too much. Sadly I didn't take a picture to show this since my hands were covered in oil so I didnt want to touch my phone. But I took a picture 9f the vegetarian pizza since that came to the table first before eating.
Oh also, I've noticed on the other reviews that im not the only one complain about the amount of oil there is so I really suggest the person in charge of the restaurant to do somthing about it.

Wonderful staff, quick service, excellent hours, consistent offerings. What else could one possibly be hoping for in a quick pizza joint? The toppings are exciting and thought out - not traditional, if that’s what you’re looking for - and bring exciting offerings to the table that modernise the late night pizza snack. Great location.
P. G.
Only popped in for a pit-stop in a sweltering day. Wasn't in the mood for pizza but the staff were very accommodating to a weary traveller. I ordered a delicious Dalston's lemonade and a chocolate browny. When the browny came with a pizza cutter I feared the worst but it was probably the nicest brownie I have ever had. Yum, yum. Staff were great and enjoyed the tunes too. Will definitely visit again and try the pizza
G. H.
Great value pizza as it is HUGE and really good that you can get half and half so you can try more. Some of the options are a little extravagant so be prepared to try new things. Really not keen that restaurant only provides paper plates (on quality and poor sustainability). Good selection of drinks and a nice atmosphere. Staff really friendly and attentive.
A. F.
Just TOO good. Love that you can get half and half. My girlfriend is vegan so it makes it all a lot easier to share food and the menu is so varied with most options being available vg too. Staff were lovely
K. B.
Delicious pizza, with the essence of basil and tomatoes, something wonderful. even the water is delicious in this restaurant
R. A.
Pizza ok, it’s £5 a slice so not good value. Very thin and crispy and not ample toppings. No cutlery available at all. That can’t possibly be classified as a restaurant can it? And the toppings slide off so you really need cutlery to avoid scraping topping up with your hands, it’s messy. Good staff
P. V.
Sophia was very nice to us, fantastic server ❤️. We recommend the half-mushroom half-salami pizza all the way ✌️
T. L.
The pizza is very tasty. Thin base and crust topped with delicious and interesting ingredients with amazing flavour combinations. You must visit if you love pizza. If you are sharing one of the 20 inch pizzas with a friend ask for the toppings to be half and half. You can also order some by the slice. Enjoy!!!
A. S.
Decent pizzas although a little pricey for what you get.
D. D.
We visited on the Eat Out to Help Out offer (which they have extended until end Sept 2020!!!). The pizzas are absolutely massive (20") so we had a slice of the mushroom, ricotta, pumpkin seeds, chilli flakes, chives & soy one. It was so tasty that we immediately ordered a whole pizza. We struggled to finish it but we were given pizza boxes to take our leftovers home...very welcome. We had a couple of Tommy's Margheritas, I don't know who Tommy is but I would like to thank him because they were really nice. We are definitely returning...
K. W.
Great pizza - just how I like it, thin but crispy bottom 👌🏻 unfortunately, the Aperol Spritz was on the watery side and you could barely taste the alcohol 😐
H. B.
Big fan of the Homeslice model. Tasty, no fuss pizza and frizzante on tap. The last few times I’ve been in it’s just been two ladies seating tables, taking orders, making drinks, running food and drinks as well as settling bills and sorting deliveroo/takeaway orders 😅 the restaurant is generally full so evidence of an absolutely incredible work ethic - particularly Abbie 👏👏 We will keep coming back!
A. S.
Probably one of the best Pizzas in London. They’re Italian style with very thin crust and stone oven baked. Unlike other Pizza restaurants they offer very interesting and alternative flavours. Deffo worth trying!
A. D.
Definitely some of the best, if not the best, pizza I've ever had outside Italy, helped by the fact the guys making the pizza are Italian.
I am a confirmed omnivore, leaning towards carnivore, and I would pick the Mushroom, Ricotta, Pumpkin Seeds and Chilli pizza above all the others.
Also a very nice atmosphere, drinks selection with super friendly staff.
A. A.
Basing my review on one visit to this branch. We had booked for 12 of us, early dinner and drinks after work. The staff dealt with us very well given we had kids to manage also. Drinks were delivered in a timely manner and the pizza was delicious. You can order a 20” monster which is great for groups. Nice one homeslice!
K. B.
Some of the best American-style pizza I’ve found in London. Huge pies, creative toppings, etc. We did over-order, so be cautious, but all of the flavours we tried were great.
S. F.
Huge pizza with the option to half and half. Reasonable price and super attentive staff.
Only quibble was the base was pretty charred.
A. A.
The pizzas are massive. One pizza that costs £20 can he shared amongst two - three people.
Nice place and nice staff. Decent prices
B.
I came to this place to try the pizza combination which I think is a very nice option.
The pizza is good but watchout as it maybe spicy for those who can't take any heat.
Service is nice but cooks can be distracted as our fist pizza was quite burnt under, however it was replaced with no fuss and in no time.
I think the value of the pizza is a bit high when compared with other places, however the area is very nice so if you're around give this place a try and make your own opinion.
L. T.
The pizza was insane. Staff were lovely. Cocktails were so boozy. Definitely recommend!
A. K.
Was here with colleagues. Pizza is great as usual, but what I don't like about Homeslice is the noise - music is way too loud and it's very tiring, also taking to someone even right next to your becomes very challenging. Very annoying, I wish they reduced the volume a little.
J. M.
TL:DR decent pizza but it’s not NYC style. If you want cutlery take your own.
Homeslice make great pizzas with a range of normal and extraordinary toppings. It can be busy at lunch times during the week, but they do take bookings.
If it’s only a couple of you then you may be better ordering by the slice. One of our party did so and the individual slices (around £4 each) were huge. Almost a quarter of a pizza in size.
My main issue is that they position themselves as serving New York style pizza, but NYC pizza holds its shape. This is more Neopolitan in style, particularly the crust, and as such can be quite messy to eat. Homeslice don’t do cutlery, so either be prepared for messy fingers and pizza down your front or bring some takeaway cutlery.
N. G.
Pizzas are good, thin crust and you get options of half and half. They have good vegetarian options as well. Perfect for after office Friday dinners. It's on the queen's street and close to mansion house, cannon Street and bank street stations.
A. G.
Good pizza, great size - docked 1 star as was slightly inflexible in terms of modifying pizzas - a friend wanted pizza without cheese and they couldnt do it! That point aside i really enjoyed my pizza!
M. C.
Absolutely delicious pizza, clearly using fresh and good quality ingredients. Very good service. Also served by the slice, but with only three non-rotating options. Mixing those up each week might be a good idea for the future.
B.
After hearing nothing but great things about homeslice, me and my husband decided to check it out. The staff where really warm and welcoming, the deco is cool and the pizza was 👌🏾. Really unusual flavours and combinations but it was great, I would recommend the lamb, cabbage, mint one for sure. Would try again.
S. G.
Very good pizza. The menu looks expensive at first, but the pizza is big enough for 2. Looking forward to next visit
D. G.
The pizzas here are huge but so so good. At £20 for a pizza, it's quite worth it because you can share it between two people and be very satisfied for the rest of the day. Baked in, I think, a wooden oven, the base is thin with a lovely selection of toppings. You can also grab a slice at £4. If going with a group of people, do book in advance as it does get quite busy and with that the food can take some time to arrive. From what I recall, you can have the table for about 1 hour and 30 minutes during busy days - which I think is always because the pizzas are that good!
E.
With vegan option, very good price!
F. G.
This was my first time at this branch of Home Slice. They do very good pizza, the dough of the bread is very light and great variation of toppings. Some of the toppings can be rather strange but am sure it will suit some people and not others. The stuff were good and attentive, which is always good in a resturant.
The only negative about Home Slice is no dessert and no coffee. I must have an espresso after my dinner and more importantly after a lovely pizza. Such a shame! Hopefully in the future they can introduce coffee and small dessert menu.
S.
Delicious pizza but service inexistant. Waiters preferred to chat with their friends than taking our orders
K. S.
Delicious high quality pizza. Unusual in that it only does slices at £4 or a 20 inch sharing pizza for £20. Tad on the expensive side but the toppings were tasty, especially the salami, rocket and parmesan.
Service was quick and the staff were friendly.
Only downside was the lack of options if you only wanted slices: there are only four. There are more varieties for the 20 inch pizzas but my friend and i wanted to have different toppings. Judging by the pictures on Google reviews, you can segment the pizzas to have numerous toppings. Wished we had known this at the time.
K. F.
Nice atmosphere, good service. Pizzas were very thin which I loved, however a big negative was that the pizzas were not pre-cut. Also the tables are narrow and difficult to fit our plates. Not a big fan of paper plates-not environmentally friendly. Tips for the restaurant: 1. Pre-cut your pizzas, 2. Provide proper plates 3. Wider tables.
M. U. C.
Excellent staff and the pizza was absolutely delicious, as you would expect from any homeslice!
L.
Huge 20 inch pizza. You can mix 2 flavours. It's new York style pizza which is more crispy. Super thin and can definitely be shared by 2 people. Toppings could be more generous I felt but the flavours was interesting. 20 pounds for this pizza. Interesting concept!
E. s.
Great pizza (actually improved as I was a bit ambivalent before) and fast service and great atmosphere, best Homeslice I have been to so far
M. P.
Reallynice pizzas, not many to choose from but all of them very tasty and with interesting toppings, mostly very seasonal. The best thing is that you can have half pizzas and slides and you can mix them. Also a good place for large groups during the weekend, it is an spacious restaurant and during the weekend the city is a quiet place. A few metres from here you can visit the 'London stone' and check if London is still safe
L. C.
Delicious!!!! Huge pizza each one at £20 (you can eat 3 ppl w one) I love these ones: Lamb one, mushroom one, and the one with Prosciutto and Parmesan!! Usually your bill would be less than £20 eating lots of pizza and wine. Better to go in group but there is usually a long wait time. They also sell £4 slides.
E. M.
Lovely pizza place to go with the family or just grab a fast bite. Don't be mistaken by fast service, the quality of food is very good. I love that they sell slices of 🍕 .
Lovely staff as well.
Definitely will be going back!
N. A.
Nice place to eat and drink 🍻. I like the concept of 50-50, here you can order 1 pizza 🍕 with 2 different choices.
P. B.
Large 20" good pizza! Cheap and relatively quick service, in and out in 30 min. Given restaurant was pretty full. Click and collect available Friendly staff
K. U.
Tasty pizza, tasty cocktails. Great value for money! Would highly recommend!
A. L.
Just like the other Homeslice branches but a bit more fancy due to the general surrounds, clientele and building. My only criticism is they should serve it on a metal base so it stays hot! Apart from that I love that they do half n half, different sauce base and vegan options.
D. S.
The staff were so attentive, the booking system was super easy, the food was perfect - as always. Coming back again and again. My favourite pizza place in London, hands down. (And superb vegan options! Thank youuuu!!
F. D.
Decent pizza but expensive, very expensive drinks, and we experienced poor service
D. A.
Best pizza I’ve ever had! Massive so one to share.
M. H.
Pizza was great and our waitress was lovely, but service as a whole was patchy. Waited for a table at the bar but couldn’t order drinks ourselves which was bizarre - drinks were also slow to arrive and came after the pizza. Atmosphere wasn’t great; would recommend for delivery but not to eat in.
EDIT: Delighted to say subsequent meals have been much better! Revising my rating accordingly 😊
S.
Probably the best homeslice in London, it’s not too crowded and has a good relaxed vibe. The service is great and the waiters are always so friendly! The half pints are tiny though!
O. B.
Tasty 20" pizzas that feed 2-3 people. They do proper Italian thin crust. Great place to meet friend or go to a date!
S. J.
Homeslice always has great pizza. I eat meat but the Mushroom is by far the best - also the terrace here is really pleasant on a sunny day!
E. E.
Really great pizza. Staff were friendly and service was quick. Not a bad back up when a lot of other places were closed in the area on a sunday afternoon
S. H.
Pizza is good, some random items for pizza toppings though. Wine isn’t great and it’s pretty pricey for pizza.
A. F.
These folks are no joke. I’m from NY, and this pizza was as close as possible to real pizza. Worth the visit here after Sky Garden to save some cash and have a fantastic meal. Highly recommended!
S. P.
Brilliant service from Shy, went above and beyond in making us feel comfortable and was happy to help with whatever we needed! Would definitely recommend visiting this place for him and his great team
D. S.
Best Pizza Ever 👍
First visit tonight and must say best pizza i've ever had.
Ordered a 50/50 Salami and Spicy Sausage, could really taste the quality flavours.
And, 50% off Mon - Wed in Sep, what's not to like?
You must go !!!
T. S.
Huge pizzas for a brilliant price. Absolutely delicious great for sharing!
D. C.
Simplicity is very often under rated. This place offers what we call simple and elegant food. They say its pizza after all, so you cant go wrong. Totally incorrect. Dominoes, Pizza hut are established pizzeria-s and they have demonstrated for years and years why they taste horrible and cost so much. Compared to them, Homeslice is heaven. The menu has only 10-15 items and thats what I love about them - less but supreme quality. If possible, I would like to own a framchise somewhere in London :-)
E. L.
Hell yeah so good. Give me this pizza everyday.
W. R.
Authentic pizza, great service, incredible value. Get here, and try the nduja.
J.
The pizzas are enormous here, but they are veeeeery thin. The rucola was the best.
C.
This place was incredible - the food and service! 10/10 recommended from an avid pizza lover 🍕🤤💕
U. K.
Lovely fresh pizza in a nice location. We tried the truffle special and it was delicious and creamy.
L. B.
Good pizza but quite overpriced, although pretty standard for London
D. K.
Good food, nice sized pizzas and great service, but restaurant was not well lit
p. r.
Good location and easy to find. Friendly staff and tasty pizza. Can be a little busy, but if you're in a group, you will have a good time. Nice decor and a good drinks range. Definitely outside the box pizza toppings.
J. T.
Good drinks options, varied menu with veggie options. Got in just before the rush with no reservation, service was really quick with friendly staff. The food was great tasting but very salty. The underside of the pizza base felt like it was covered in salt which took away from the flavour of the sauce, but ultimately was a great meal.
C. M.
Interesting choice of toppings. Great for large parties. Good pizza if a little bit doughy. Would visit again.
K. K.
5 Stars are not enough, excellent
service, great venue celebrating my son's 16th birthday. Great music with a very chilled out vibe. Best of all the pizzas ....delicious and tasty. The boys could stop eating. One size pizza "massive " thin and crispy . The choice of pizza is limited but it's enough.
Thoroughly enjoyable experience
J. J.
Nicely decorated restaurant, the atmosphere is nice and a lot less busier than Neal's Yard. The pizza wasn't as nice (again this is subjective). Will visit again if I'm in this part of town. Staff were lovely and very friendly.
P. L.
Not too crowded, the pizza tastes heavenly! And the wait is very short. A must go place.
J. H.
Amazing pizza and great staff. If you're a picky eater or have dietary requirements they can be really flexible and helpful. Some of the best pizza in London, too. The 20 inch is perfect for two go share!
R. H.
When you need a quick pizza fix, this is it, feels better than just popping to Dominos
D. A.
Always great pizza and service, beer is cheaper than the pub opposite. Also got a free brownie!
B. M.
Great pizza, great atmosphere and good cocktails. Will go back.
L. O.
Huge pizza served with only a pizza cutter. Prepare to get messy and enjoy the best pizza you've ever had!
k. s.
Service was slow and pizza looked great but wasn't that tasty
S. O.
Great service, great pizza, highly recommended 👌🏽🍕
R. B.
The awesome food, drinks and service that is consistent with the Neil's Yard restaurant, but lacking the cost, rustic feel. I'm a regular visitor of the NY restaurant near Covent Garden, but on this occasion I thought I'd try one of the others - in the main I wasn't disappointed, as the pizza was still superb, and it was delivered by awesome, friendly staff. However, most likely due to the location, it was lacking the rustic and homely vibe that the other location delivers. Still a recommended spot from me, but be prepared for a slightly more open, and modern setting.
N. A.
Awesome place. Funky staff and interior. Well worth trying.
I went with a friend. Unfortunately the stupidly large pizza is too much for two people to share which means ordering 4 slices which is close to the price of a full pizza. Normally you'd take leftover home but for me at least usually a lunch spot so not the easiest thing to do.
Also some quirky flavours might not be to everyone's taste.
Might adjust the order next time.
l. c.
Great idea for a restaurant, small menu but really tasty food. Came out extremely fast and was a reasonable size for the price. Would definitely return to this place.
N. P.
Great pizzas. Would recommend the 4 Cheese with jalapeño salsa (it’s quite spicy). Social distancing measures were reasonable but tables indoors are quite close together.
S. C.
Great atmosphere. Pizza toppings unusual. The spicy salami was disappointing. Great place for groups
J. S.
Good pizza for take away. The worst wine for £5.50 per 125ml ! If you go there to eat don't bother with the wine. Tap water is preferecial.
s. :.
You really can't go wrong. Excellent wood fired pizza. Not afraid to give their pizzas some decent authentic leoparding - nothing worse than excellent dough being undercooked. Neals yard Rye crumb pizza is one of the cleverest and tastiest combo's I've ever had. pricing on point too. 20" sounds daunting but soon disappears between two hungry people! Stunning oven too.
G. B.
Excellent pizza selection. Managed to get in on 2nd attempt as it's very busy during weekday lunch hours. Pizza size is quite big (think it's 20 inches) so best to share one between 2. They can split 2 flavours on 1 pizza which is great. I went with a vegetarian friend. We had half margarita and half aubergine in harissa sauce. Highly recommend the place
M. M.
Really enjoyed it, service was prompt and we were easily able to do it in an hour. We ordered 2 pizzas between 4 people and it was more than enough. Large thin base pizzas and very tasty overall. Recommend the pepperoni and margherita. Left feeling really full. Highly Recommend a visit.
A. K.
Pizzas are delicious but huge! Good atmosphere and friendly staff. The music is very loud though and tables are small (and inevitably filled up by the large pizzas) so probably not a good place for a meeting. There are a couple of vegetarian options on the menu.
K. M.
Service is super slow at lunch times but the pizza is brilliant and there's a lot of options for vegetarians. At the moment it's my favourite pizza but it's getting gained on by other places. The lack of cutlery and inability to buy all pizzas by the slice marks them down.
K. O.
Great London pizza. Lucky to have one close to my office. Good quality and interesting pizza but very basic flavors. Everything seems to work. Service is always quick and friendly.
M. B.
Best pizza I’ve ever tried and first time going :-)
I. C.
Really good pizza and friendly staff. We went for the cabbage and lamb (or similar) and it was remarkably tasty. If there was ice cream on the menu it would have been the full 5 starts! Definitely recommend though
A. S.
What a pizza! Quick service, don't feel rushed at all. A simple menu executed well, enjoyed the lamb pizza (tasted delicious) and the yummy wine, too! Well located if you commute from Cannon St. Will definitely be back, very nice service.
T. F.
Huge pizzas but the toppings are sparse. They taste good enough but the bulk of it is dough and cheese so not as good value it initially appears to be. I enjoying sharing with colleagues and would happily go back again.
A.
Great pizza but the vibe of the restaurant is incredibly pretentious. Expect 'cool' music and a minimalist menu. £4 for a large slice or £20 for a huge whole pizza which is enough for 2-3 people. The topping combinations are pretty unusual
S. S.
Great pizza...simple with no frills and the massive size means great for sharing. Pizzas taste awesome so you just can't go wrong.
M. C.
I liked the pizzas but my only issue was I’d like a bit more of the traditional simple pizzas on the menu. Don't get me wrong I do like the menu but sometimes you want a classic pepperoni!! The Pizzas are great for sharing!
R. P.
The pizza is really good and perfect for sharing. Very friendly staff!
A. M.
I've not been in a Homeslice for quite a while and I'm not sure if all the chain are like this now but it's a bit of a Jekyll and Hyde place. On one hand the pizzas we ordered were very nice, but on the other hand, the amount of ingredients used on any of the meat pizzas was quite miserly. You could barely taste any of it. The vegetarian option, one of our group ordered, was packed with ingredients and was a cracking pizza. Homeslice doing their but weening us off meat perhaps?
N. O.
Service friendly, food a lot better than your average pizza place.
Be sure you ask the waiter to explain what is in each pizza as there are some small surprises.
A bit loud, so hard to talk properly but overall a very pleasant experience
Good value for money
A. H.
Consistent offering, very large Pizzas and one of the few branches in the chain that allow booking - particularly useful for large groups. Quieter and much more seating than other branches. Very good value for money eating!
K. L. M.
20 inch pizza for 20quid in the centre of London is just outstanding and when the pizza is amazing, it is just obscenely brilliant. Previously had marked down as it could have more vegan options but since that review 7 months ago, more vegan options have been added - thank you!
E. H.
Stopped here soon after arriving in the City and was starving from an 8-hour flight on a budget airline. Ended up being impressed with the prices and the pizza itself, and I live in the NYC region. Just kind of wish there were a greater selection of toppings, but I was quite pleased with what I ordered.
I. R.
I've been to Homeslice many times, to this branch before even, and can't recommend it highly enough. However, I was really disappointed this time around. There were 3 empty tables but they told our table of 6 people that they couldn't give us more than 1 menu although they were clearly not being used. They also used to have cutlery but they said they didn't when I went most recently. The pizza cutters are terrible, they hardly cut the pizza, so if you don't have cutlery on top it makes eating pizza pretty hard!!!
P. A.
Very tasty and creative pizzas. Reasonably priced, and friendly staff. Just be prepared to eat with no cutlery!
L. C.
We enjoyed sitting at the bar watching the chefs make the pizzas. Food was absolutely delicious, creative flavour combinations, lovely base with a touch of salt, and generous toppings. Every bite was followed by a vocal “mmmm” noise. We had the 4 cheese split with the aubergine, cauliflower cheese & harissa - winner combination! 👌
R. H.
Decent beer! Didn't try the pizza, but they looked massive...and really good!
J. L.
Actually quite disappointed. Been to Home slice before and loved it but this time the pizza was bland and sparsely topped. The tomato base needed some sort of herbs or seasoning. The staff were great though, very helpful.
N. A.
My favourite pizza restaurant, full stop! Having been used to the original Home Slice in Neal's Yard, Covent Garden, it is pleasing to note that the quality of pizzas remains excellent in this pizzeria, housed in the Bloomberg building. It gets busy at lunchtime, but we had the place to ourselves on a rainy, January Saturday afternoon. Great pizza, good service, excellent value.
N. D.
Pizza is really nice! But you need at least 2people to finish it. You can choose different toppings. Place is nice but tables are too small for big pizza.. Service was ok but little bit slow?
C. S.
Easily the best pizza in London. They have an amazing selection of pizza toppings that you would never have thought to try but tasted great. Staff were helpful and attentive all night.
M. M.
This is great pizza (see below) - docked a star because I prefer the Shoreditch location best!
Thin crust, large and delicious pizzas! Excellent recipes with a creative twist. This location adjoining the new Bloomberg building feels a little like an American shopping mall, new and large and well thought out - lacking European charm of one of London's most historic restaurants which is across the way
D. H.
Really great place with some interesting pizza topping ideas, some worked really well some so so, price is good! Go for the chorizo and corn which really was a hit. Decent beer on draft served in a proper pint glass and staff down to earth and friendly. My only issue was for some reason where we sat was home to a family of bar/fruit flys.... there is a problem with them in London, I get that, and you find them in most of the pubs and bars but to find so many sat at a booth in a newish restaurant was a bit random!?
D. C.
If you like traditional pizza and not much else, then this is the place for you! Pizza is awesome, staff friendly and efficient!
C. T.
Pizza 🍕 is great, thin base great flavours. I would come here over most pizza restaurants. Interesting selection of pizza's... But they all work. They are also very large, so always end up with some take away... The taste as good the next day.
P. R.
New branch, same idea.
Good pizza, but -1 star because it's lunchtime and walk up service in nearby eateries doesn't take 10 mins after ordering.
I would have minded less if "slices will take 10 minutes" was explained.
R. R.
Lovely staff & great concept: big, delicious pizzas with fancy toppings in a bar. Would love to see actual plates (instead of one off paper plates) and cleaner bathrooms next time!
A. H.
Went for all you can eat and it beat me. The pizza kept coming and I had to say no to pizza for the first time in my life. Got to try all the flavours at least once and they even gave us the chance to ask for requests, if they ever do all you can eat again would highly recommend 👍
S. A.
Great little place to eat. Slices are massive and taste amazing. Though I don't get the paper plates and no cutlery. These pizzas can get messy.
G. A. I.
One of the best pizza places I have ever been to. One pizza is enough for 3-4 people. It is usually full so reservations are recommended but they might find you a table if you are lucky (+ take away is an option too)
U. E.
Absolutely love this pizza, arguably the best pizza I have ever had. Homeslice is a part of the new Bloomberg building, located in the Bloomberg Arcade. The pizzas here are huge, so if you're coming here, you should definitely share, unless you're extremely hungry. You can get half vegetarian and half meat for example. I really liked the one that has goat cheese, but all were pretty good, if you ask me, you can't really go wrong. The pizza base is really soft and doughy, a bit like Franca Manca, but better. Most times I go to pizza restaurants I have to ask them not to burn it, but these guys seem to do that by default, which is definitely a plus. Nonetheless, I highly recommend Homeslice.
K. S.
Absolutely amazing pizza and atmosphere
S. A. (.
Delicious but need to introduce more variation on their BUY A SLICE menu.... Has been my weekly regular for some weeks now
W. F.
Huge pizzas to share with some rather obscure pizza toppings. However they do a half and half pizza so you can choose a couple of different options. The pizza was well cooked and the dough was nice and light.
R. N. -. L. t.
Great and huge pizza! Delicious I do recommend it!
M. H.
For Pizza Lovers ! Quality is good and price is fair (it’s 20 inch so it’s feed 2-3 people and flavours can be split 50/50). recommending !!
S. G.
Great New York style pizza. No forks, paper plates enhance the effect. You do need to cut the pizza yourself which is not something that would happen in new York but seems pretty standard for UK.
L. M.
Really amazing flavour pizza. Had 3 pizzas between 5 of us, it was just a bit too much food - but they have takeaway boxes, so no food is wasted! The music they had on was proper 60s bangers on.
T. M.
Very authentic pizza, excellent price point.
The best one is the salami rocket and Parmigianino.
Cozy atmosphere.
I would not take any drinks though...
S.
The pizza here is first rate. Service quick friendly and discreet. Visited a couple of different branches and always leave satisfied. How do the big pizza chains stay in business?.
J.
Definitely the worst homeslice out of all of them. The pizza lacked in taste, was burnt on the top and lacked any sort of fromage topping. However the atmosphere was brilliant, nice wide open space not too busy and not too loud. Most homeslices are dimly lit and last time I was in Shoreditch, after coming back from the loo and ended up at the wrong table with a completely different stranger in front of me. This took us both 10 minutes to realise this because we simply couldn't see eachother due to how dark it was.
O. T.
the best pizza in London - ricotta one!
A. T.
Good pizza and great size for the money you pay! Quite unique combinations so get ready to experiment a bit with different flavours.
J. N.
Awesome pizza, really friendly staff and great outdoor space
R. S.
Great pizza and good quick service. The best thing about homeslice is the variation in the toppings and the interesting combinations. There is more than enough choice for vegetarians as well.
K.
Nice place, very kind and friendly staff, we didn't wait long for our pizza, which was tasty. Lovely drinks as well! :)
J. F.
I've been to this location a few times. They've definitely stepped up the quality over time. Good service, great pizza, unfortunately the other guests are normally from the Bloomberg building.
E. I.
Could have more choice for veggies options but really cool pizza loved it and great they have vegan options
J. O.
Best pizza I have had my entire life. Only thing is they have no small/medium take away pizza boxes. That's the only let down. But pizza itself is yum.
K. K.
I love this home slice for a weekend visit. When the other locations are rammed, this one generally has space. And the pizzas are great and it's a great cheap but fun meal.
A. S.
Delicious pizza with very interesting menu choices. Absolutely huge portions! Pretty standard restaurant atmosphere.
C. S.
Some of the best pizza in London, with incredible toppings. You won’t believe how big it is until you see it! Definitely recommend the lamb and yoghurt!!
J. A.
Wow they are big pizzas even to share. Very tasty though.
C. Z.
Best slice of pizza, I had to order a second slice, different pizza menu, recommended
J. B.
Good coffee and food. Only suggestion is sort out the wobbly tables that seem to be all!
S. H.
Source of food on Sunday evening when almost everything else around cannon street is closed.
Limited selection of beers on draft (2) and pizza by the slide (4) or bigger range of whole pizza which are too enormous for one but would doa couple easily. Probably 18 or 20"
M. K.
Not somewhere I knew much about, but was really pleased we stopped by! Pizza was delicious and there was plenty to go around. Only thing I'd change is serving the soft drinks in a glass (not a big fan of cans and straws).
D. N.
Best pizza you will ever eat! Queen street one is the best in London! Mushroom, Margarita and Kimchee (my top 3 pizza) all homeslice staff will know what you mean.
M. M.
Brilliant food and brilliant service. The place was packed but the pizza still came very quickly! Only downside perhaps is the drinks took a little bit of time to come, but was definitely worth the wait!
A. B.
Great place for a large group, I treated 14 people to a team lunch for just over £100. The four cheese pizza is particularly fine.
K. J.
Good find. 20'' delicious pizzas that can be shared among two or more people. Good quality ingredients. Great place for team outings or parties.
Y. V.
Delicious giants pizzas! Really good restaurant, nice atmosphere, friendly staff, there can be a bit of wait time a lunch but it's worth it!
P. B.
Woodfire pizzas which you can buy by the slice if you wish. Decent cocktails, good staff, good atmosphere. Perfect dinner option after a couple of drinks in the area.
S. B.
Great pizza every time!
S. C.
Delicious pizza, as always!
S. W.
Relaxed atmosphere. Great pizza ..beware they're big!! Drinks on the small size thou. Would go again.
A. L.
Pretty decent thin pizzas with a variety of interesting toppings. A reliable option but nothing to blow your mind. The pizza cutter they give you is terrible by the way!
Z. L.
Love the pizza. Awesome staff too. Tried the half half, mushroom and sausage. Would definately go back for more. Valued for money too!
D. B.
I'm not a pizza fan (I know, weird huh?), but really really like this pizza! It is fresh and full of flavour, and not oily!
O. D.
Pizza was great (with salami, would give 5 stars out of 5 😅) service not so much (would give 2/5 stars)
J. A.
Yeah reasonable pizza and decent staff in a nice place. But quite expensive for the sparse toppings on the pizzas.
M. A.
Well run, with great staff, good pizza, for a fun tasty lunch
S. S.
Booked a table at Homeslice City for lunch today and had a lovely time - the pizza was just as brill as it is at all of Homeslice's spots, and everyone was so friendly 😊
A. C.
Tasty, huge but thin pizzas with a good variety of toppings. Two pizzas was plenty for three of us.
T. K.
Best pizza of all times
Great combination
Huge portions
Just love ordering it or going into the resto
R. H.
It may be one of the best pizza bases in London but the topping combinations may not be for everyone . Really good Italian style thin pizza base
D. G.
Really good pizza at a great location with plenty of space compared to the other branches in Shoreditch or Covent garden. Chilled atmosphere, cool staff, you should definitely try it
N. F.
Excellent 20 inch pizza with unusual toppings, served by attractive attentive and friendly staff. Good value too
P. M.
Flat price pizza is a bit expensive at £20 a pie, but of goodly size and quality. Thin crust from wood fired oven. Om nom nom.
B. S.
Huge and delicious pizzas for a reasonable price. Some of their toppings are a bit hipster and not regular pizza toppings if you are fussy.
H. Y.
Massive 20" pizzas well loaded with toppings and delicious. Service was excellent and very fast. We very much enjoyed this lunch.
T. H.
One of the best pizza i ever had
C. S.
Messed up the order, but apologised profusely, corrected it quickly and gave us our pizza and drinks for free! Classy behaviour, and great food.
K. C.
Unique flavours of pizza toppings really worked well. Tasted great and was a nice venue for my gf's 22nd birthday.
A. M.
For £20 you get a huge 20 inch pizza that can be shared between a couple of people. The pizzas they offer all have a creative combination of toppings. They also allow you to split a pizza 50/50 with different toppings.
A criticism of the pizzas is that they're quite salty - a couple of slices in and you can really taste the salt.
R. D.
Fills a niche brilliantly for quick, high quality food. Delicious thin crust pizza with quality toppings.
K. G.
It's a decent enough pizza and bring able to cut it yourself has its appeal albeit tricky at times. Just wouldn't it's my favourite pizza restaurant.
D. M.
Pizza is quite good but they don't have a lot of choice in terms of flavours.
S. S.
Pizza was amazing, really good value for money and great atmosphere too.
N. C.
A good range of pizzas, only 3 are offered per slice. Very tasty, freshly cooked and reasonably priced.
N. A.
Food is decent but service a major let down. Waitress forgot our drinks, and we were basically ignored the whole night. Had to chase staff to get the bill.
N. K.
Great pizza, my favorite is mushrooms and pumpkin seeds
S. S.
Good pizza and good atmosphere. Can't got wrong with Homeslice. My favourite 'on the way home' spot.
B. N.
Really good pizza. The drinks selection is OK, and the tables slightly too small - but you're there for the pizza!
G. L.
Amazingggg Pizza to share with a large group of people. Large selection of flavours and they accommodate larger parties really well!
A. E.
Great pizza but they need bigger tables if the pizza itself is going to be that big!
A. B.
Nice huge pizzas, very thin, but with with interesting toppings. Open later when most places in the City are closed.
b. w.
Huge and very good pizza, very friendly staff and good cocktails with paper straws! Had a really good time.
W. G.
Amazing pizzas. One is big enough for 3 people. Good selection of drinks and beers.
B. W.
Big, thin crust, pizzas with the usual favourites plus some interesting topping combos for the imaginative types! Finally, one inside the City thank goodness.
R. N.
Borderline addicted to the Salami, Parmesan and Rocket pizza slice from Home Slice! Great to share a pizza with friends or grab a couple of slices for lunch.
R. M.
Can't go wrong with Homeslice. Everyone I've taken here loves the pizza. Best pizza in London hands down.
m. h.
Nice selection of pizza toppings. Be warned the pizzas are massive but good value around the £20 mark.
D. M.
The best pizza in the city!! Very huge and I mean huge! Two guys with big appetites could barely finish one.
J. Z.
Loving it ! Perfect for quick lunch break.
Delicious pizza😍
J. C.
Amazing pizza but they need to top up those draught beers. A little less and I'd get half a pint
H. C. H.
This restaurant right at the centre of the busy commercial hub offers very good and tasty 20" thin base pizza. Go early before lunch break to avoid waiting queue.
J. T.
Great location and pizza.......the city is so quite at the weekend.....it was a great joy NOT to have all the craziness you experience during the week. Great service
T. M.
Never disappointed with the service or the pizzas here.
R. H.
Delicious.
By the slice (3 varieties available) or whole pizza (more varieties) (whole is equal to 6 slices).
No forks. Large slices. Fold to eat.
Eat in or take away.
J. M.
I usually like classic, basic pizza, and feel that too many toppings ruin a pizza. Homeslice blows that out of the water, with interesting, delicious pizza, and a good range of beer. This particular branch is in a coorporate area.
C. J.
Reasonably priced, good pizza. Good for friendship groups divisible by 2... Or really hungry individuals.
K. E.
Nice pizza restaurant worth a visit.
R. M.
Pizza is nice. Service is ridiculous and it's impossible to hear what the person next to you is saying.
C. H.
Good pizza, shame you can't get any of the interesting types in single slice. 20 inches is a lot for even 2 people!
P. W.
Amazing pizza, with fantastic topping options, 20 inches so for 2 to 4 to share
B. W.
This branch got realy god pizza. I have tried pizza from 3 different homeslice in London. This one is definitelly my favourite one
M. T.
Love their different pizzas and you can mix them up (half and half)
V. K.
Great pizza and a great pint of pale ale
P. B.
Good pizza, meat ones very disappointing more carrots than meat! I recommend the 4 cheese but this is quite salty!
K. J.
Great pizza, fun atmosphere, just wish the drinks were a bit bigger!
N. D.
Don't listen to snobs, this is a great pizza place with 22 inch pizzas, always super delicious!
K. G.
Love their pizza, we went for one of the Time Out deals of bottomless pizza.
A. M.
Nice pizza, I had 2 slices of vegetarian pizza and a lemonade and it came to only £10.
W. H.
Great Pizza, the mushroom one especially
A. J.
Really amazing pizza, sold by slice as well as whole pizza so perfect for a snack
D. F.

J. C.

V. M.
Amazing flavours on artisan pizza..nothing like other pizza eateries..great for sharing
D. T.
Great service and huge pizzas. What's not to like? :)
K. L.
Big slice and different from the usual kind of pizza. It was fast and staff are nice.
N. P.
Brilliant Pizza, super tasty
N. M.
Good flavours, massive pies. Soft base so it takes some discipline not to make a mess of yourself.
M. T.
Homeslice is one of my favourite pizza places in London. It’s not like McDonalds in the slightest as the laughable review above suggests. If you’re that fussy or confused by the concept of “street food” and eating pizza without cutlery, then I’m sure there’s a bland pizza express (or Pizza Hut) around the corner for you to enjoy. If you’re into good, New York style pizza with interesting and fresh ingredients then this is your place. V
V. S.
Great pizza with amazing toppings. Nice service and reasonable price
N. D.
Love their pizza! Their mushroom pizza will convert ANY mushroom hater! Certainly converted me :)
E.
Nice pizza ..... nit exately italian style but very good

J. A.

Awesome as always, even in this most corporate of all the venues, was the busiest place on the block.
J. W.
I'm offended that the menu states the pizza can feed 3-4 people...
