Walking around in nice bridge area of London . We found this Arabian Lebanese Resturant. It had all what we were looking for .. ambiance, GREAT FOOD. , wine .. and most of all the waiter Jalal .. who was extremely knowledgeable with the menu.. very polite and accommodating.. took all my concerns so serious.. I am very happy that I came here . Great from A to Z .. please .. you must try their lamb meat dish with lamb .. also if you like fish egg .. or CAVIAR trying it here smoked was best experience. Thank you all .

WOW WOW! If I could give this place a 10 star rating I would. From the moment we stepped over the threshold, till we finally stepped out, the staff, food and other patrons were all amazing. The staff were friendly, fast and the food was decadent. I love Lebanese food, but the experience was more than just the flavours on my tongue. The following day, as we were still in the area, and although we passed many restaurants, none of the menus appealed to us enough to convince us to dine with them. We ended up back for lunch at Ishbilia and the experience, service, food AND patrons were all wonderful. It says a lot about a venue when even the quality of your patrons make the experience perfect.

From the moment we arrived, my friend and I were treated like queens - what exceptional service - beyond friendly & efficient. When we tasted the food, we were both transported to heaven!! The fresh quality of authentic Lebanese cuisine was 5-star with a surprisingly low price tag. We went right back the next day for lunch!

Fine authentic Lebanese food, the dine in experience is really great, once seated, they offer complimentary olives, fresh vegetables, and a bread basket, I ordered Fatoosh, Cheese Sambosak, Shish Tawook, and Sea bass Sayadieh. All were great, Sayadieh was phenomenal, highly recommend it.

Wanted to give a lively farewell to our friend visiting London, from Madrid, just before he was leaving for Madrid (Spain) the next day. We all therefore, consulted our “Foodie Guru”, among us, who owns couple of Restaurants, and Catering Outlets in London, and supplies his Long Boys (Long Doughnuts, like Hotdogs) to the most prestigious stores like Harrods, Selfridges, etc. He suggested “Ishbilia Authentic Lebanese Cuisine”, as he had tried the food over there and recommended it, as authentic as the name sounds, and we all opted for it. Ishbilia offers truly authentic Lebanese, which I had experienced after long, since Fakhreddin in Piccadilly, London which used to offer the best Lebanese Cuisine in the days gone by, had closed down. The Mezze at Ishbilia is outstanding, especially, “Makhdous” (Stuffed Aubergine), my most favourite was awesome! We were served by Mr. Rakan at our table, who was very efficient, and served us at his dynamic speed, which we all appreciated. Worth visiting again and again © Ash

Enjoyed an excellent array of hot and cold mezze last night. The cover generously came with tasty olives, warm bread, super fresh crudités and a sweet fruit plate to close. Having spent a decade in the region, I can say this is the nicest Lebanese food I have eaten in a long time. Highly recommended and not outrageously expensive given the Knightsbridge address.

They never let you down, I have been a customer for many years, and the food is consistently delicious, beautifully prepared using the best and freshest ingredients. The service is friendly, efficient and very kind, nothing is a problem. I highly recommend this restaurant for vegetarian, vegan or meat and fish lovers. Thank you again for our lovely Sunday lunch.

An unexpected outcome. Atmosphere - it's tucked away from the hustle and bustle which is very nice given the local area. The restaurant has a very comfy and inviting aura about it. Service - I can't grumble, the waiters were all well mannered, polite and genuinely seemed like they wanted to provide a good dining experience. Also they didn't get offended at us querying their policy...more on that later. Price - for the quality, taste and location, it's actually not bad at all and very much so affordable - you can't really expect to dine in Knightsbridge with a McDonald's budget, unless you're at McDonald's or similar (is there a McDs in Knightsbridge?) Menu / Policy - there is a clause that each person must order to a value of £35, this did irk me a fair bit, not because I didn't have the means to pay for it, but I felt the practice was a bit cheap actually, and it made me question whether this was a decent restaurant. If your food and service is good, surely your diners will eat till their heart is content and that'll most likely trump £35pp. As stated I queried it, and it turns out it's a fair challenge, they don't want people hogging their tables during busy hours eating a bowl of bread and light starters and I can see why. They must pay a premium to run their business given the location, and it gets busy, the last thing you want is people hogging tables with very low value orders. It's not about spending more = holier than thou, it's economics. Though they ought to find a better way to execute this. Food - in hindsight I should of wrote this sooner, but hey ho. Right the lamb kebab - best I've ever had. Why? These lot cooked it to perfection, tender, juicy, flavourful. I've had diced lamb kebabs in many restaurants in many countries, and 9/10 it's overcooked and a chewy mess. I enjoyed it so much that I stole my other halfs portion!! The rest of the items we ordered were also excellent. In conclusion, money well spent, I enjoyed my dining experience and felt the price was fair and justified given a host of reasons, venue, location, atmosphere, service & food. Highly recommended.

We visited Ishbilia on Friday night. My partner has been many times and has always raved about it, so I was really excited for my first visit. The restaurant is really cosy and inviting, and we had a wonderful warm greeting when we arrived. Ishbilia have an extensive menu and also have a changing dish of the day. On Friday this was sea bass on spiced rice, and it was exceptional - really fresh but also with such a depth of flavour and spice through the rice. We also had a selection of hot and cold mezze, all of which was delicious. The standout dishes for me were the Aubergine Fatoush, Muhamarah and Hummous Sharhat. Everything came very quickly and tasted extremely fresh. Ishbilia is a family-run restaurant, with many of the staff and chefs having been there for many years. The owner Mahmoud was there when we visited, and was happy to advise us on dishes to try and a beautiful Lebanese wine to complement the food. Mahmoud is incredibly enthusiastic about his food and it was a joy to hear him describe the dishes. In fact, all the staff we interacted with were extremely friendly and couldn't do enough to make sure we had a lovely time. It's clear that Ishbilia have a loyal following, and it seems that you could visit many times and still find new dishes to try. I noticed a beautiful private dining room which would be perfect for a special occasion, and I'll certainly be coming back very soon. Thank you!

Food is very lovely, however, there is a tiny tiny tiny tiny print at the bottom of their menu stating they will take service charge £2.50 per person and also add 12.5% tip without asking the customer or notifying them. Despite the low-key exterior, the Lebanese food here impresses - although choose carefully because portions are huge. A friend and I chose hummus and delicious aubergine fatoush (bread salad) to start and even that came with a salad and tons of delicious, still warm bread. The mains were tasty but of a size that was impossible; my chicken shawarma was a foot of meat! Charming service (even offering to package up my too-large dinner) and the fresh mint tea served up with complementary baklava was a nice touch. At £75 for two courses with wine, this is a decent and affordable place for the area.

Very good standard of Lebanese food here in my opinion, and I've tried quite a lot of Lebanese places in London. I think this is probably my joint favourite (the other being Noura in Belgravia). The foul moukala was a particular hit - not many Lebanese restaurants in London serve this. I love broad beans and this was a simple but really delicious way to serve them - very garlicky! Ordered several of the other staples we usually order in Lebanese restaurants - foul medames, grilled halloumi, tabouleh, houmous - we were pleased with all of them. Not sure why other reviewers say the decor is bland, I thought it was smart and restrained. Service was good too - our waiter was perhaps initially a bit frosty, but warmed when we started talking about the food. Other waiters were unusually jovial for this type of upmarket Lebanese place. Has some outdoor seating, and our daughter (under 2 years) was made to feel very welcome.
