Without a doubt, one of the best Italian meals I’ve ever had. I found this purely by chance with my girlfriend. We both fancied an Italian meal and we saw the Italian flag from Kensington High Street which drew us in. The chef Elsa greeted us and squeezed us in for a last minute booking. Everything was perfect. Food made with love and the Bruschetta was divine! Top tip: if Elsa offers a special - accept it - it’ll be fantastic. Can’t wait to come back!

A real gem, full of regulars with staff providing a genuine personable feel. More importantly, the food is absolutely delicious. My porcini tagliatelli was insanely good and I didn't want it to end. If it were my birthday I'd want to go here for 4 courses.

Amazing Italian, perfect service with extremely friendly waiter and owner. Not only was the service outstanding the food was next to perfect. If they are doing the pizza base bruschetta special as a starter, I would highly recommend getting it, the base is crispy and thin, and the tomatoes and garlic tasted extremely fresh. I had the Linguine Modo Mio for main and I can easily say it was one of the best pasta dishes I have ever had. The tiger prawns were massive and extremely flavourful. All in all, a 10/10 experience then I would recommend to anyone who is visiting London.

Fantastic food and wonderful friendly service in a small intimate setting. We had grilled tiger prawns and courgettes wrapped in Palma ham to start, followed by lovely fresh pasta and a creamy risotto. All rounded off with some millefoglie and a drop-dead gorgeous zabaglione. The world is a better place if it has restaurants like La Fortuna in it.

My friend took me for a birthday lunch to Fortuna, in Kensington…. What a fabulous experience… the chef Elsa explained the dishes…. We had : Tiger Prawns in a delicious sauce Burata with rocket and pears in Balsamic dressing Chicken in an amazing sauce Sea Bass cooked in foil Tirimasu Mille Fuille with candle in Then they sang ‘happy birthday’ Fabulous lunch…chef and staff all really nice and want you to enjoy your food - which we certainly did…. After I got snapped by most of the fancy places on the High Street for foolishly having no reservation on a Friday night I somehow stumbled upon this beautiful local Italian restaurant. The food was authentically local, The staff were extremely friendly and pleasant, and the atmosphere is incredibly cosy. Definitely a must if you’re in the area and don’t wanna go to any of the fancy High Street restaurants.

Absolutely fabulous food and atmosphere! The waiters were extremely friendly and had amazing knowledge about the food they were serving - which was beyond delicious. Such a cute and love restaurant. Even its on the main road we had lovely time at their outside tables. Fantastic homemade dishes. If you are near Kensington Palace make your way here for lunch or dinner. We had starters, mains and desserts, well sat there for hours as the portions are pretty nice. The best Carbonara I ever had! We will be back for sure!

We stumbled upon La Fortuna late on our last night in the Kensington area. We were seated immediately. Ordered the tagliatelle Mona Lisa and a margherita pizza - both were AMAZING! The pasta was homemade and fresh. The staff were very kind. The chef came out and said hello. Plus, it’s a beautiful, charming little spot. We look forward to returning! Thank you

We were only in Kensington for 3 nights and ate here twice. Lovely little place, wonderful staff, amazing food and very reasonably priced. The salad with pear, walnuts, goat cheese and prosciutto is the best salad I have ever had in my life. Everyone loved both their meals here. Can't recommend this place enough.

The best Italian restaurant in London. We were visiting from the US and tried 5 different Italian restaurant and were ok, but the food here is amazing. I have never Italian food so delicious. I asked for a chicken with lemon which was not even on the menu and the chef / owner did it for me. If you're around the area, eat here. You will not regret it.

An amazing quality service by the most friendly and caring staff I’ve ever encountered. Food was immensely delicious and received very fast! Very reasonably priced food and a real taste of Italy along with the accompanying italian music to really set the mood. Chef was lovely and came out to see how our meal was going and was very accommodating. Overall, a 5 star Italian experience. Would highly recommend and is now my favourite italian spot! Amazing!

Found La Fortuna whilst exploring Kensington over the Easter break. The meal was fabulous as was the welcome. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. It has a family feel and nothing is too much trouble. All the staff were marvellous. Will definitely seek you again when in London. Give this independent restaurant your custom you won’t be disappointed 😍

In London for the day to visit Kensington Palace and stumbled across La Fortuna on the way. We had a warm friendly welcome on a cold day. The food and wine were amazing, very fresh and tasty the best we've eaten in an Italian for a long time. The food arrived in good time and the staff were attentive without overdoing it. An unexpected & wonderful find. Lovely restaurant, great staff and food that is all freshly made by a chef/ owner who is clearly really passionate about what she produces. We were a party of 21 and must have had everything on the menu between us and everybody came away saying how good it was.

Super decent and lovely restaurant. I would give 6 stars if I could. The staff were very friendly and professional. Even though we didn't make a reservation in advance and the restaruant was full, they didn't make us wait for too long. Our seats were ready when we came back from a short walk nearby. The decoration was nice with sceneric paintings. Food came in large portions and tasted awesome, and the price wasn't expensive at all. We had a very good time there. Thank you so much!

Great find in Kensington Definitely a hidden gem in a residential part of Kensington.. Pasta and the sauces are excellent and great prices. Excellent portions and leave you satisfied. Definitely be going back and delighted to find a favourite place for dinning

New Italian restaurant,this is pretty small restaurant,but it is cozy with art atmosphere.Food was great , especially , enjoyed with home- made fresh pasta, it was delicious, suggest try their seafood main courses ,it was unbelievable tasty, dessert was typical Italian,I really love the contrast between that light texture and bright,vibrant flavor, Italian Ice cream was pretty good too. happy finding this gem in the heart of Kensington.Will be back and recommend to others.
