New to the area and La Luna was on my bucket list. Did not disappoint! Must try the pizza it’s cheesy with gorgeous flavours, generous portion for the price. The waiter was attentive, the toilets are clean, and complimentary mints were given with the bill. A local gem - will for sure go again.

Such a hidden gem, we live opposite this restaurant and have always been curious to visit, read the reviews beforehand and thought we'd give it a go. Couldn't recommend this place enough! I made a reservation for 7 people here and they are waiting for me at the door even tho i arrived a bit early. We are seated as soon as we go in with a warm Italian welcome. LOVE this place! We ended up staying about an 8 minute walk from here when we were ending our stay in London. We had read great reviews and were not disappointed. We ate here our last 2 nights, it was so good and the staff was very friendly 😁 such a nice group of guys taking excellent care of us. The food wasnt heavy at all, but was so filling at a great price. I was disappointed that I stuffed myself both nights and didnt save room for dessert, because the dessert menu looked amazing as well. Make a trip to this place when you are in London. You wont be disappointed. Full and happy, not disappointed ❤🤘

Authentic Italian restaurant on Walworth Road which is a pleasant surprise. The pizza is fairly good, the pasta and Ravioli are good too. Not sure about the desert. Only downside is that it lacks atmosphere.

Great authentic feeling Italian restaurant. The garlic bread is great value and you have free olives while you wait. The food is the usual pizzas, pastas and Italian starter but all food is reasonably priced and very tasty. The portion sizes are good, so you will not be feeling hungry afterwards.

It's sometimes hard to give such a high rating because it may not be believed but not with La Luna. I'm very glad I ordered the veal over a bed of arugula with sliced parmesan. The owner takes the time to talk to all the patrons at every table and will not only make suggestions but will go off menu to provide whatever you may be interested in having. Then finish the meal with a fantastic cappuccino and one of the 12 dessert choices. Really just outstanding balance.

This is a tasty, traditional Italian. I enjoyed the vegetarian tortelli, and the house red wine was very drinkable. It felt a little expensive for the area. I'd have given this a higher rating if they were serving pizza. I called to book a table in early Jan, and was advised the pizza oven was broken. I assumed they'd have fixed it by the time I went in mid-Feb, but it was still broken.

Even though I live close by this was my first visit. I took my 96 year old mother and I must say the welcome was better than anyone could expect with the staff friendly and extremely helpful. The menu provides a wide choice and was nothing more than excellent with the portions more than adequate and well presented. I would recommend this venue without hesitation and will most certainly be visiting again.

La Luna has consistently great service and food that is far higher quality than the price tag would suggest. As a student, La Luna is my number one spot for treating myself to a meal out after a submission. The love that has been poured into this place is tangible, the staff seem to genuinely enjoy working here and the interior is cosy despite being spacious enough for large groups. Basically, don't sleep on La Luna, me and my flatmates have been coming here for almost two years and we all feel blessed to have such a hidden gem right around the corner.

Unfortunately the pizza oven was broken when I went, but I've heard on good authority that is very good too. Well worth a visit for a cheap and cheerful authentic Italian experience. Hidden Gem on the Walworth Road. On my second visit is was greeted warmly like a long time regular. Local Italians eating there so you know it's good, authentic Italian cuisine. Average price for a pizza is about £7/8 which beats most other restaurants in the area for price. The pasta, meat and fish dishes are a steal too. Never had anything but a great meal here.

Went there with friends for dinner. The place gives really Italian pizzeria vibes and the staff was really friendly and caring! We order three pizzas and the were proper Italian pizza! I really recommend "la luna" if you want to have a taste of real Italian pizza and Italian mood, or simple if you're having homesickness ;)

Disappointing. I used to live locally to this restaurant and have been many times. I recently was visiting family to celebrate my birthday and suggested La Luna's for a meal. Our waitress was extremely unfriendly, bordering on rude, the food was okay but not as good as I remember. When we ordered some olives we were presented with 5 olives in a small dish and then when we ordered some and served by a different waiter we received a lot more. The waitress ruined our meal, she did not make sure to take everyone's order before walking off, one of our meals came over 5 minutes after everyone else's. Poor service and average food, such a shame as the service used to be very good and the food likewise.

Really nice and cosy place. Had the occasion to visit it recently with some colleagues of mine. We were just looking for a place where to gather and grab a bite and we noticed this little Italian restaurant. There were 10 of us and we were all starving. Food was more than excellent, haven tasted something so good in any other Italian restaurants I've been at. The staff was as expected, fast, polite and welcoming. The prices were surprisingly average, considering the quality of the food and drinks.

The reason that I rate the decor slightly lower is because I sat outside and Walworth Road is hardly the most appealing of al fresco backdrops! As a long-time Walworth resident and very happy La Luna customer, I was dismayed when I read the recent Google review suggesting that La Luna had changed hands and gone rapidly downhill. I decided to visit as soon as I could, and was relieved to discover that (aside from a new improved pizza oven, the addition of some fresh desserts, and a coat of paint) everything that is great about La Luna remains the same - including the good food, the friendly owners and the long-standing staff. I don't usually post online reviews but I know how important an online reputation is to a small neighbourhood restaurant like this, how much hard work goes into building a loyal customer base, and how a few bad reviews can stop new people discovering and enjoying a local treasure. Long live La Luna!

After a year of living in Kennington, I have only just discovered this amazing little place! The food is delicious, particularly the pizzas and whilst I am by no means a vegetarian, their veggie pizzas are to die for! The prices are fair and it's never too busy. I love the fact that I have a lovely little Italian on my door-step that is somewhat still a hidden gem..........but then again, if I want it to stay that way, perhaps I shouldn't be raving about it on the net! After looking at the menu of La Luna online I knew the food would be good. I went there tonight for dinner and my expectations were excelled. La Luna is the most authintic Italien I have seen in London. The food was delicious, the staff are all polite and friendly, the service was fast and on top of this they have a great a la carte menu deal - 3 courses for £13.90. There is a good mix of pasta, pizza, meat and fish dishes that you don't see in generic italien chain restaurents. I will definately be going back soon.

This is my 'local' italian, but anyone who wants genuine italian food at a very reasonable price should make the trip here. Unpretentious (though the new maitre d seems to perform his nationality a bit) and friendly, it is Walworth's hidden gem (along with the excellent Polish joint, Mamuska). Their wine list is fine, but they also allow you to bring your own, should your tastes run to the more expensive and recherche end of things. Decor's a bit unloved (the TV usually plays Italian football), but the restaurant is usually pretty full with a very Echt south London mix, ensuring interesting people watching. Enjoyable at all times. They aslo do takeaways. And they respond to feedback.
