Fantastic place for some amazing Indian and Nepali food. The place can get filled fast hence a reservation is worth making before showing up. The staff is quite courteous which add the The overall experience. The non-veg items are worth trying. Breads are also really nice. Overall a must go place for folks who are seeking Indian flavors in London.

It's a second time for us with this restaurant, this time we got a take away. It was super delicious, great portions! The wait period to receive order may be a bit long, but definitely worth ordering a take away as the food arrives super fresh and hot, almost like it was just cooked. I am not a curry fan (but my husband is, hence we keep trying curry places) but this place is definitely my favourite one. We will be back in person and for a takeaway for sure in the future!

Good Indian food at an affordable price. We went there for dinner and were lucky to find a table even though we did not make a prior reservation. The waiting time for the order seemed a bit long. The complementary chutneys/ sauces on the side with papad were mouth watering. Would definitely visit again.

Met a friend on Thursday and went for an evening meal to "the best Indian Restaurant in Greenwich" - leastways that was what Greenwich resident Paul claimed. We arrived around 6:30pm and received a warm welcome from the staff. The tables were covered in fresh white linen and had napkins - a magnet for me when I'm eating pompadoms with chutneys and despite my best efforts so it proved to be. The food itself was flavourful with just the right amount of spices - absolutely delicious ! It was one of the best Indian meals I have had so Paul was annoyingly right again. Recommended.

Well it's technically a mix of Indian and Nepalese cuisines. We tried a few starters and aloo tikki chat is a stand out. Must try if you like Indian chats. On the mains we tried chicken tikka biryani and the quantity was quite less compared to usual servings. Was defenitely tasty. The place is smack on the main road and very easy to find. The serving pace is very relaxed, may feel a little slow at times. Overall - Recommended!

The best of a cluster of Indian places around the area. Okay well it's officially Nepalese but you get what I mean. There are loads of things on the menu, biriyanis are highly recommended. There are plentiful options for vegetarians and vegans too. The place has a nice ambience and was quite busy at the time we were there. The food was fresh and of good quality. Taste wise the food was much to my liking(I love hot spicy stuff) but they can always tone it down or kick it up a notch at your request if you tell them in advance.

Gosh, this is good. I was interested to try the Nepalese dishes and I brought my coriander disliking but chilli loving friend. We ate so well here, we politely fought over the carrot pickle served with the poppadoms (more was generously offered by the lovely owner). Chicken momos with nepalese chutney were also eagerly devoured just like our mains that followed. Absolutely and utterly delicious. Thank-You!

We came on a Saturday night and we had to wait for 60 minutes to get our food, but the wait was worth it and the service was really good. The biryani was generous, the lassi was delicious and the cheese naan (among many other things) was warm and tasty. It is definitely a good place to try Indian/Nepalese food

Really good curry house actually. Enjoyed it although was a little bit boozed so can't remember everything we ordered. Will have to go back to try more dishes. Pretty confident that I had a lamb gurkhali which was rich and hot. No issues the following morning either, which is always a good sign of a decent curry.

A good restaurant with some different things on the menu. They have big bottles of Gurkha beer, i like the scallop starters. I have never tried them before but they were cooked decently. The stuffed chicken breast is particularly good on the chef's specials. The chef specials are different and always come ouy well no matter what you get on there. Nice staff, clean and tidy too.

The vegetarian dish on most Asian food restaurants tends to be a token gesture of mushy bland veg, the house special Pahadi Vegetables here is the exception, the veg was truly crisp and fresh in a lovely curry sauce, gorgeous, even my meat eating partner agreed it was special...

I've just finished another fantastic meal at Mountain View, and needed to tell someone! Quite seriously though, I'm revisiting this place after a year away and it's still the best Indian/ Nepalese I know. It's the benchmark against which I measure Indian everywhere and no-one else really hits the mark. The flavours here are subtle and tasty and there is nothing on the menu I wouldn't eat. The vegetarian offering is amazing - we eat a bunch of sides as our main, tapas-style. It's family run, it's first class, and it's definitely worth a visit. Not too far from Greenwich town centre, and not too far from Maze Hill station. I love this place. Highly recommend!

Excellent restaurant which deserves its local reputation. Fresh flowers on the tables, starched table cloths, and no “discretionary” service charge - you pay what you think it’s worth. Food excellent - tap water nicely presented in a glass with ice and a slice. Loses a star because of way-too-loud ring tone at bar for takeaway orders. And motorcycle delivery operators wearing helmets marching heavy-footed the full length of the restaurant to collect orders. That ain’t conducive to a relaxed, quiet meal, unfortunately.

This is the best takeout/delivered food I’ve had since I moved back to London from Surrey almost 2 years ago (we’ve tried the lot!). I am shocked at how poor the takeout food is here. This is the ‘real deal’; you can taste the good quality of the produce that’s used and everything is cooked to perfection. Plus the delivery driver is always polite and professional. All I need now is to find a good Chinese takeout! 😚😅

I really enjoyed my dinner there. First off, the staff are very friendly. Second, the food is interesting and delicious, and moderately priced. They have a few Indian and Nepalese beers, which were tasty. You can ask for spicier if you wish. All in all I would return to Mountain View!

Only think that wasn't great is that the cocktails weren't very strong, but at a £5 each, I just got an extra shot of rum and it still worked out cheaper than a cocktail in most other establishments. I would definitely recommend trying Mountain View if you are in the area. The menu has many good options, food is tasty and made fresh. Nepalese cuisine is very close to Indian with some variations. The staff are very friendly and polite. The only let down were the desserts.

Really impressed with both the food and service. We[2 of us] walked in at about 9pm last night - Friday evening, and the restaurant was full and there was already a group of 5 waiting to be seated. The staff told us that there was a table for 2 due to leave in 5-10 mins and asked us if we would like a drink. The table soon became free and we were seated and offered fantastic poppadums and great fresh dips. There was a 'huge' group of students - 20+ already seated and finishing their starters, so we did wonder if the service might be slow for us, but it really was fine. The starters were really fresh and tasty - salmon and then crispy okra. Our mains and side dishes were also superb - 2 of the house specials - a lamb dish and also a paneer one. We'll be back - thanks.

Had a selection of dishes and sides, all were delicious and would even go as far as to say best ever! My husband and I were very hungry and thought give a try, not many customers eat-in, however the kitchen were very busy and deliveries guys were in and out all the time. That was a great sign to us. We were recommended by the manager to try the Chicken Biryani rice, Grilled Chicken and vegetarian curry, they are absolutely right to the top of taste and the nun bread and papadom were all fresh and hot, we love the food and fantastic service, it's great value for money! We are planning to go back and recommend Mountain View to those people love curry and 5-star service.

We come here at least once a month, sometimes just about every week. There are some very beautiful dishes here. The one we always get is a vegetable side - house specialty Hariyo Kurillo. Amazing flavours. The staff always remember us which is unusual for London. They do some very busy takeaway trade some nights so it's best to get in before that dinner rush.

Eventhough I have really good tolerance to spicy food the most spicy food on the list which was vandalee as far as I remember was a bit of challenge for me. For a regular European taster which comes from a culture which is not acquainted with spicy food culture will suffer eating that. Tastes are authentic they are not adjusted to European taste so bear that in mind and go for milder options if you are not confident on your spice endurance. Food was exquisite and staff were very polite and hospitable definitely worth giving a try.

I have eaten in many many Indian Restaurants as I am an Indian food fanatic, This Restaurant is by far one of the best I have visited I came up from Surrey with my wife on Thursday 2/10/14 and we found the service to be second to none, very polite and extremely helpful staff, the food presentation was excellent, the portions were huge and the flavours in all the various dishes we had were unbelievable, compliments to all the Chefs and a big thank you to all the staff for making it a truly memorable evening.
