Service was good, plenty of good options on the menu I need to go back and check out. We ordered the Genovese Napoletana (very meaty pizza, pretty rich, would probably order something else next time just for my own health!), Capricciosa (preferred this of the two pizzas we ordered), Delizia al Limone (my friend thought it was great), and the Tiramisu al Pistacchio (my highlight of the meal!). Had a good selecting of beers too, would recommend the Duchessa for those who like that sort of thing.

A good pizza in Chiswick! The service was good and I appreciated the interiors as it recalls the typical atmosphere of South Italy with its light blue tails. As starters we had a mix of: arancino, frittatina and montanarine. I found the latter to have unique toppings, as you can see from the pictures, whereas the classic toppings are either tomato sauce and fiordilatte or genovese (I am a traditionalist but they were good). We had 4 different kinds of pizza and the toppings went from average to very good depending on the pizza. I ordered the salsiccia and friarielli and I must say that I was not really satisfied neither with the amount of meat and vegetable nor with the quality of both ingredients. Last but not least, the dough was too gummy. We also had 2 desserts: I liked ricotta e pera but the other was too sweet.

Terrific pizza and terrific value. Classic Neapolitan-style pizza, generous helpings of fresh ingredients and served super fast. Service is always friendly too. A gem of a restaurant, highly recommend if you’re in the mood for a pizza!

Fantastic restaurant an absolute must if your in London. We travelled by bus to get there and arrived about 9.30pm with no booking and we were warmly greeted. We were surrounded by lots of Italian customers whilst eating the finest pizzas and being served by lovely friendly staff. We will not hesitate to return and it will be an excuse to come back and bring our daughter. Thank you for a lovely evening

The choice of pizze is good and the quality of the ingredients is very high. The pizze are tasty and beautiful, truly Napoli style. The place is not big and is always packed therefore I would suggest to book a table in advance to prevent disappointment. Pay them a visit and you won’t regret your choice!

We booked a table in advance, the staff was somewhat confused and refused us. Someone else checked their bookings list and our names were there, not a great start. We were quickly offered drinks, and the prosecco was great. Started with a delicious and creamy burrata, as well the croquettes, don't miss out on them! Our pizzas were really good too, authentic taste, a bit slow service but it didn't bother us. If you love cheese order the Cheesewick pizza, very good and very filling. Struggled with my dessert as I was already very fully, so come hungry. Good price. When full, the restaurant does get loud.

Best pizza in London (and I tried most of Italian pizzeria here). I am from Naples and sure I can say that it is way better then most of pizzas I have eaten there. Everything is 100% Italian. I tried all the starters and I recommend the tris montanara (even if arancini ans crocchè are delicious too). Pizza is really soft. And for dessert I ate the Sal de Riso "delizia al limone" which is a typical dessert from the Amalfi coast and it was really good. In conclusion, if you live in London and love REAL Italian food go there and you will be delighted. E... Se sei italiano lo consiglio ancor di più perchè ti sembrerà di tornare a casa.

Great, small family Italian restaurant specialising in pizzas. Lots of choices of fillings with soft sourdough crusts. Excellent desserts. Most of the clients were discerning Italians. Don't go or there won't be room for us to go back again!

Visited on Sunday lunch. I had been few times before Covid and really enjoyed the pizza. The mixed fritti were a let down. Montanarine had a heavy dough and the genovese on top of one was cold. The arancino (twice) and the frittatina were cold inside. Risotto was nice and creamy with lovely aroma of truffle. The napoletana genovese I ordered had a very crispy dough with large bubbles (pure decadence if you like this style of pizza first deep fried and then baked) but the meat on top was unfortunately cold and dry. I ordered a margherita instead which was spot on. Service was attentive and they offered a 10% discount for the inconvenience. I would definitely go back for their pizza but not for the rest.

We just got our first pizza from here. I'd read the reviews and had high hopes. The pizza arrived really quickly and that normally would be a good thing but the pizza was really underdone. The centre of all 4 pizzas was soggy and the cheese had barely melted. I understand the pressure to cook it fast as customers want their food quickly, but the end result really suffered and no one likes soggy pizza.

My girlfriend and I go out for dinner weekly and have visited many restaurants around London. We are regulars at Franco Manca (which is great), but this is absolutely the best pizza we have ever had. We’ve even been to well regarded places in Italy and the pizzas here are better. The staff are great and the owner is a huge character - definitely worth a visit.

Lunch here April 2021sitting outside (as obviously the restaurant was not open for inside dining). Two starters and two mains one AF beer and a a glass of wine came to £48 including the 10% gratuity. I think the main emphasis of the restaurant is on the pizzas which I cannot comment on as we had a rissoto and a pasta main. Very nice food and pleasant service but a bit cool outside on the shady side of Devonshire Road which is not their fault!

Wow. I found myself in Chiswick with my better half on a weekday evening, and thought we should make the most of it. Pizza? Yeah, why not. Thing is, you can walk the length of the high street and the only pizza place you'll find on either side is Pizza Express. I'm glad we didn't settle. Napoli on the Road have all the classics, and several specials I'd never come across. We ordered a capricciosa and a 'love and peas', both of which were phenomenal. Honestly up there with the best pizzas I've had in Italy. Thin base, crispy crust, generously topped. The capricciosa was balanced and the sauce was great. And the love and peas was amazing! The pea Service was great. We took ours to go, but I noticed that there was a good ratio of staff to customers. We'll definitely be coming back, and also checking out the Italian ice cream shop across the road. Highly recommended!

Fantastic little Italian restaurant run by Italians versus Polish people. Everything on the menu from their Arancini to their Pizza is like eating something from a restaurant in southern Italy. We decided to try this new restaurant instead of another Chain pizza restaurant selling sour dough pizza and were pleasantly surprised that Napoli is better with a lighter dough and fresher ingredients. I visited Napoli on The Road for the first time last Friday. The atmosphere was fabulous, busy and buzzy and the staff attentive and friendly. The menu is really interesting and the pizzas amazing, the dough is so light and tasty. We also sampled cocktails and wine off an extensive menu. Finished off with a delicious tiramisu - again yummy. I will definitely be going back and think this will become 'my regular' eatery.

Amazing dinner had with my friends at this new pizzeria in Chiswick. Pizza and starters were simply delicious. I’ve ordered the pizza Ricordi d’infanzia and honestly I never ate a pizza like that in London. The crust was very airy and light and you can really taste the freshness and high quality of the products. I had a crocchè as a starter and it was soooo good! The place is very cosy and the staff is very welcoming and genuinely attentive. Also I was very impressed by their high attention to details. All dishes are well presented and their handmade personalised plates are very beautiful. Thank you and keep the hard work up!

Finally a real Italian pizza in Chiswick, if you are not Italian you cannot understand the struggle! These guys are honest, humble and very friendly. I read some reviews before writing mine and I can tell from the first lines that some people have no idea about Italian traditions and the way we eat our food so perhaps next time they should go to the pub instead? I don't personally know any of the owners or member of staff, no one paid me to write this, however the food and atmosphere bring me back home. Thank you for bringing a piece of home in Chiswick, so much needed!!

I would have liked to give this a four star or a 'good' rating, for the lovely decor and good quality pizza. However Napoli on the Road joins some of those other London restaurants that seek to tip themselves - as if this was America and every serviceman and woman should be entitled to a tip regardless of their service standards. But this is Britain and tipping is an option here. Further, how were we to know who the tip was to go to? Napoli on the Road therefore goes totally down in my view, on grounds of principle. You also didn't have the decency, like most others that participate in this crude scheme, to write 'optional service charge'. You merely wrote 'service charge'. My friend paid, but I had it been me, I would have paid the sub total only. For me the vibe is better at Franco Manca around the corner, and the pizza within the same league. They don't try to force their customer to tip them; I'm allowed to choose - and often I do choose to. Want some free advice? If you want more money, put the prices on your menu up by 20% and pay your staff more with the extra. If they still provide a worthy service, the generous people of Chiswick will leave extra for them on the table. Danny

BEST PIZZA IN LONDON by miles At Napoli on the rd customers can meet the owner, Michele, who personally bakes all the pizzas in his immaculate Italian oven. You can have a chat with him, he will tell you his story: how he started, 11 years old, working in local pizzerie in Napoli, then moving to London to sell pizza in local markets from his signature ape car with a perfect mini-oven in the back (hence the place's name), eventually opening this hidden gem in Chiswick. Very traditional, very light, absolutely delicious.
