Reviews of Noci
A. Z.
New favourite Italian in London. Hidden in cozy Angle it offers authentic dishes with a twist every season. Staff is lovely and so is the selection of wine. I would 100% recommend the pesto pancetta pasta and while mushroom as you never tasted such before! Amazing value for money, spacious and welcoming with a great vibe for date, celebration or just dinner
H. T.
Good pasta dishes, the pasta itself was very tasty and we enjoyed them. The starters… especially the seared yellow fin tuna, was very disappointing. Not much flavour and plating looked a bit sad. Perhaps because it was towards the end of lunch rush, the staff seemed a little tired and wasn’t very caring about how the food was brought or put on the table.
Overall pretty space and decent pasta :)
V. R.
Not a well-healed intimate location for decent pasta in Angel, but rather a noisy and bar-like vibe with reasonable fare.
I suppose any place heavily promoted on Instagram should come with a hefty health warning but i still had high hopes.
Anyhow, probably worth a try at least once but there are so many equally good If not better Italian options to try nearby.
Am sure this place would do a whole lot better if the ambiance was improved.
W.
The starters were a bit plain tasting but the pastas were amazing as was the focaccia. The open ravioli was particularly delicious. Service was also lovely.

New opening in Angel, just what Islington needed. A proper good Italian place!
Everything is spot on, from the interior to the staff- Lucia is a star, she is friendly and very attentive providing an amazing service!
The food is banging, from the starters to the dessert. WOW!!
We had olives, focaccia and the leek& cheeses torta fritta to start, 3 different pastas and a dessert.
Cocktails are on tap, the House Peach Spritz is super!
The only thing is would point out is that there is not even 1 vegan dish on the menu (few vegetarian options tho) but I am sure if requested they might be able to help with this (I didn’t ask).
Rather than this I am looking forward to visit again!

An Italian addition to the neighbourhood, with a cool vibe and lovely service. To start I recommend the arancini, served on a pecorino and Parmesan cream, that nicely softens the heat of the n’duja. The fennel salad is a great starter or side to the pasta.
Cacio e pepe as traditional and creamy as they should be, le mafaldine with n’duja and mascarpone are a bit difficult to eat gracefully but who cares, the big linen napkins will come handy. The paccheri al ragu Genovese are a rare find in London, so give them a try as well, otherwise go for the maltagliati with fresh wild mushrooms, also very tasty. The neighbours’ ziti al pesto looked delicious too. It’s nice to find tasty, elaborate, quality pasta, this was clearly missing around Angel.
Surprising miso pannacotta for dessert, I really liked it also I am not a fan of both (miso and pannacotta).
Will come back!

Came here the second day after its opening. To me, the way the food tastes is easily the most important thing about a restaurant - and the food here is flawless. Particular highlights were to the mushroom handkerchiefs and the lamb pasta.
Staff was a bit slow, and my pasta was ever so slightly cold (still very, very tasty). I'm chalking it up to this being very early days for them, and them still getting into their swing. Would definitely recommend!
D. S.
Came here with friends to check out this fab new pasta restaurant in Angel! Each dish we ordered tasted amazing! I highly recommend the handkerchiefs dish and the lamb ragu, simply delicious!! The only reason I haven’t given 5 stars is for the sole reason that their wine and cocktail/ spirits list is very limited.
GREAT FOOD needs great wine.
I really wish they delivered (please consider).
Well done Noci and thank you 🙏🏻
M. A.
Hands down best pasta and Italian experience we’ve had in London. The staff was so friendly, especially Lucia, walking us through every dish. The cacio e Pepe was the best I’ve ever had, and I could eat the focaccia for every meal. Cannot wait to come back here!

Noci is a new Italian restaurant that opened in March 2022 just past Angel tube station, it replaces the Cote French restaurant that used to be here. It's part of a family of other London Italian restaurants that includes Strada, Copa club
Pros: Definitely the best Italian restaurant in Angel now. Probably the best in North London now. We ordered the Herbed Lamb Shoulder open ravioli and Veal & Pork Genovese Ragu. In short, the pasta was perfect! It's al dente, oozes sophistication and is technically the most accomplished and tastiest pasta I have ever had. The Gianduja chocolate is also delightfully thick, luxuriant, indulgent and oh so chocolatey! Amazing! Service is great too. Miss Erica was so knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming. We really enjoyed our meal with Erica's fantastic service. Limoncello was a great advice as the perfect end of a great meal.
Cons: None really.
In short, this is THE BEST Italian restaurant in Angel. Probably in the whole of London. Absolutely fantastic! Keep up the good work Erica and Noci! We will be back! You can guarantee it!
N. A.
Great addition to Islington with well-elaborated pasta menu and classic Italian starters. Special shout to Lucia, providing a completely kind and warming service.
R. O.
Absolutely lovely place to eat out or just to do some nice aperitivo!
Lucia served us, she was professional but friendly at the same time.
The drinks where very nice and the food even better,
Noci see you soon!
A. D.
Soft and comfy atmosphere at Noci, this little pearl in Islington green offers flavourful pasta options for lunch and dinner, with great music in the background.
Focaccia as starter is a golden appetizer.
I was so undecided about my dinner,I wished I could try everything.
Lucia helped me to make my choice, her expert advice was definitely a bonus! So professional and careful despite the fact that it was getting busy.
Her espresso martini to close the evening drove me crazy at the point that I doubled up the dessert as I couldn't make up my mind:budino and pannacotta.
Everything delicious!
I'll be back soon.
Highly recommended.

AMAZING RESTAURANT!!!!
I was at Noci Pasta Restaurant on March 9, 2022, first but certainly not the last time ...
At first glance, the menu is very inviting! Appetizers with simple ingredients but of excellent quality.
Quality that is repeated throughout the menu. PASTA is the master ... good in all its forms and tastes!
The desserts are also delicious!
In general a very welcoming place, all the guys very competent and of the highest professionalism!
Congratulations to all! I wish you all the best of luck… we will see you again very soon!
i.
The starters and wine were lovely. The arancini, tuna and fritters all tasty. I’d say the fritter needed something else though - a chopped tomato side or rich sauce with some fresh cucumber or carrot ribbons to offset the parcels richness. The plate for the arancini was huge (not issue, just little odd).
The service was excellent. Can’t fault at all and really understanding and welcoming.
Unfortunately we didn’t like the mains - though my brother really enjoyed the veal ragu.
The prawn pasta was way too salty. All I tasted was salt. The tomato didn’t shine through at all and it lacked freshness or that rich tomatoey flavour you expect from a tomato base (or a rougaille for any Mauritians out there!).
The prawns themselves were small and a bit bland. At the price tag I would we expect bigger, fleshy, prawns with a sweet flavour that really shone.
The confit egg pasta could have had more depth, a bit more seasoning and I’m not convinced on the walnuts. Usually a confit egg in this dish really coats the pasta but this didn’t.
Cacio de Pepe was tasty. A few tubes were under but the flavour was there.
The veal ragu was great too, based on my brothers review!
Desserts were…strange. The chocolate again lacked that real punch and depth of chocolate. The set but not set, cold but warm, didn’t work for me. The ice cream was a complete curve ball. Perhaps just personal tastes but reminded me of a twister ice cream. Pana cotta; again, maybe it just missed on me, but it didn’t work. Just serve a really brilliant pana and leave the vinegar and miso out.
G. M.
Very nice restaurant. Decor is very modern and sophisticated, but without being exclusionary. The service is friendly and attentive. We shared a tuna starter and had two pasta dishes as mains. Very tasty, but a little over seasoned, but not enough to prevent future visits. A great addition to Islington
A. G.
Nice atmosphere. The food is really good quality, however the portions are small. Price value is spot on but the service could be better. We asked for a second bottle of wine that we never received, the waitress gave us the wrong dishes twice (there were for the table next to us) and they presented us the bill without us asking for it, like the wanted us out of there. Will not go again.
E. M.
What a gem! Great service from Diana - super attentive, knowledgeable about the menu and very friendly. Easily the best pasta we have had in London. We got the feeling you could order any pasta dish and be very happy. Will be back soon!
J. W.
A superb addition to Islington. Flavours are clean and presentation beautiful. The wild mushroom handkerchiefs was recommended and exceptional. Atmosphere is relaxed and our waitress Lucia was attentive and so friendly with my young son. We’ll be coming back for more!
L. S.
The location is very convenient to reach. Excellent food, professional service and very nice staff, all in a clean and practical environment. The menu is original and certainly different from other Italian restaurants, which make it interesting and surprising. Excellent also the olive oil served with the Focaccia... I shall return...
D.
we had a lovely evening in Noci.
we didn't book but we been lucky enough to get a table. food is great, drinks are lovely(especially the espresso martini on tap!) but the best was the service. Lucia was just spot on. she took care about my diet requirements without let me feel it. everything went so smoot that I didn't even ask to my self if I can have or haven't the dish. just great!
O. W.
Absolutely blown away by this new hidden gym. One of the best Italian restaurants I have ever been to. Fresh food bursting with flavour with a side of exquisite service. Shout out to Lucia who made our time there unforgettable and for the food recommendations. Will be back again to try a new menu and will be spreading the word. A must visit.
S. L.
Overprice. Good location. Nice environment. Okay pasta. The burrata was underwhelming for its price.
B. D.
We had lunch here yesterday. The first day of being open. We had no idea! Great place. Lovely staff. The food is absolutely delicious. We shared a spicy arancini. I had mushroom pasta. My friend had tomato pasta. We shared a ripple ice cream. All beautifully cooked and prepared. Portions were spot on. Good wine list. Fairly priced. I think this place will be a hit. We will definitely be back. Good Luck Noci! You deserve it.
R. T.
Fantastic dinner at Noci - the pasta selection is very interesting and ‘non-conventional’ in a nice way which is quite a step up from the usual traditional Italian cuisine in London. I dined solo as I was in London on business but Lucia took care of me and made me feel very welcome. I definitively recommend it!!!
P. M.
This new gem in Islington serves amazing Italian food and the staff is lovely! Can only recommend.
T.
Quite simply, the best value pasta in London. We had the Cacio e Pepe, the gnochetti and the silk handkerchiefs and all were fantastic. Reasonably priced wines, both by the bottle and by the glass and adventurously constructed desserts. The service is excellent, warm and friendly while also being knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about Italian cooking. Highly recommended.
A. G.
Definitely the best Italian restaurant I ever tried in London!
Lucia has been just so kind and professional, the food is so good and the atmosphere is really pleasant. I highly recommend it and I look forward to becoming a happy returning client!
E. L.
Not the best pasta in London but the food is tasty, good quality, decent good value for money!
K. M.
This place is getting better and better since it opened a few weeks ago. Lovely addition to the Islington restaurant scene. Food is great and service fab. Special shout out to Lucia who is the sweetest and most attentive server. Always welcomed with a big smile.
r. d.
Overall was a lovely dinner but was a little disappointed with the temperature of the pastas. Ordered 3 to share and feel 2 of them had been out a little while waiting for the final one which was a bit of a shame. The portion size of the focaccia was tiny, you don’t have to worry about “filling up on bread” here! Pudding good. Service friendly. Vibey for a Monday too.
m.
Having also sat outside to eat and drink, I would say they need to review the table seating style. It might be super modern but the solid round small table is just not comfortable to sit at to eat, esp. as one side of seating is higher than the other i know space is limited and you don't have the outside space that neighbours Bellanger have outside, but I think you should invest in better individual tables with space underneath of leg room that would work with the fixed seating that is against the window.
Previous review;
Had a 20:45 booking on a Saturday night and the place was full. They very kindly sat me at the back which was my preference so was very appreciative they could accommodate me.
I found the food to be very flavourful. We had the Arancini, the mussel and squid fritti and the veal / vittallo tonnatto to start. Though was sad to see that my mussel was empty so ended up as accidental decoration, but my dinner partners mussel was there. It didn't ruin my experience per se, but would be wrong not to mention it here so more care can be taken when they expedite.
The portions are definitely on the smaller side, so don't go there expecting stereotypical Italian mamas big portions as this is not the place for it. I read the reviews prior and saw example photographs so I knew what to expect in this regard, but I wished the fritti was a larger serving, it was scrummy and I didnt want to share!
For mains we had the silk handkerchiefs which were delicious and the veal and pork ragu with pacherri which was also lovely. I did not experience any of the over saltiness that some people have written about. Ours was seasoned perfectly.
The prosecco was a delight and I loved the glasses they were served in.
The house red was great as was my pinot grigio.
We didn't have dessert because we were off to the cinema to gorge on popcorn, but I do want to try them.
The bill for 2 x prosecco, 2 x wine, 3 x starter, 2 x main was £87 with service and I was happy to pay that.
I will definitely return, as a single sitter too so hopefully I can always sit at a table.
They change the menu regularly so I many never eat the same meal twice.
Thank you again for the table allocation.
The staff were all very friendly and easily accessible even whilst it was still super busy, which just always makes a big different to the dining experience. Thank you to them too.
P.S The food was so good I tucked into it and forgot to photograph it!
A. W.
Stumbled upon this gem on a Thursday night. They were clearly busy yet so happy to accommodate us without a booking. We sat overlooking the park, great drinks, INCREDIBLE food and really genuine service. We'll be back
G. T.
Fantastic atmosphere and staff. Everyone very attentive and smiling, they make you feel like home. Giorgio was very welcoming and explained us the menu, smiling and charming person. Definitely recommended!
B. R.
Food was excellent, good authentic pasta with strong flavours and fair portions, however service was terrible. We arrived and order 2 espresso martinis (on tap), our bread to start came 5 mins later and still no drinks, then whilst we were still eating bread they brought out all 3 pasta dishes just a couple minutes after the bread had been delivered. Still no drinks, we would have wanted wine with the main course and 20 mins post ordering the drinks and half way through the main courses we had to ask them 3 times through different staff members (standing up and walking to them to get their attention) to cancel the entrée drink and order 2 glasses of wine, by the time the wine arrived the food was stone cold and we had nearly finished it. To top it off when the bill came they tried to charge for the espresso martinis.
If they can sort out the service (it was quiet when we ordered the first drinks, which should have taken seconds to serve as they were on tap) then this could be a great service, but currently I would not recommend.
R. C.
Exceptional flavors! One of the best places to eat real Italian food. Thanks to Marco who was very helpful and made really good recommendations. He definitely made the difference
N. M.
We were disappointed with our dinner at Noci. The menu looked appetising, the ambience was buzzing on a Thursday evening and the service was good but the food was mediocre at best and pricey for the quality on offer. Also, the portions were tiny. I think there are better dining options up and down the street.
V. K.
We picked up Noci to celebrate our anniversary based on recommendations from friends in the area. We wanted a cosi restaurant with friendly ambience, quality food and good wines. We were nothing but impressed with both as well as speed of service. The friendliness of the staff and the manageress on duty Gyorgyi were why we would love to recommend Noci. Thank you all who looked after us and we look forward to see you soon
V. L.
Lovely spot in Angel with tasty Italian food. Great attentive service by Lucia (I believe?) and tasty starters and mains.
Cacio e pepe was good, but very pepper-y. Dessert was amazing - get the gianduja chocolate & hazelnut budino! Will definitely come back to try more
G. S.
The place looks amazing and the staff is incredibly kind and respecful. Been there a few times and the food always looks amazing and plated creatively.
Will definitely come back and let the menu surprise me again!
F. L.
Fantastic pasta, courteous staff, great atmosphere! Prices are more than fair, £6 negroni is a steal—much like cacio e pepe for £8; focaccia was fantastic as well! Definitely take a starter if you’re here for dinner as portions are rather moderate. Overall much recommended!
D.
Food is great here - every single meal from starter to dessert was tastefully done. My cacio e pepe was delicious and my friend was raving about his silk handkerchiefs.
However I'm docking a star because they have clearly never heard of sound insulation. This is the noisiest restaurant I have ever been to, we had to shout just to talk to each other, and my ears were hurting afterwards.
v. R.
If you like appetising new Italian food at a reasonable price in Islington, with comfortable ambiance and decor this the new place to come! We liked the edge of spice in the cooking and good cocktails
A. C.
I would definitely recommend it.
The focaccia was superb. We ate the Cacio & Pepe and the Genovese ragù: they were both very peculiar and good. The desserts (panna cotta and budino) were also very good. The price was fair.
J. H.
Delightful experience, minimalist decor, wonderul food.
I had a starter of bresaola with celeriac in a walnut dressing followed by wild mushroom "silk handkerchiefs". This was followed by a miso Panna cotta w chocolate and white balsamic.
All heavenly.
Giorgio and his team do a wonderful job
I. V.
Best pasta I’ve had in London. I went with a friend and we stayed for hours enjoying the delicious food and drinking lovely wine. Can’t wait to return!
A. V.
Authentic pasta and a very reasonable price. Probably some of the best pasta I've had in London, and also amongst the cheapest. Definitely will come back
M. Y.
Fantastic food! Just what the neighbourhood needed. I really recommend the open lamb ravioli!
N. S.
Table of 5 last night for sisters celebratory graduation meal.
Beautiful restaurant, nice location
The service was good & attentive even though the place was packed and staff were rushed.
Focaccia beautiful
Charred asparagus nice
Buratta underwhelming
Squid & Mussle fritti amazing
Our Main pasta dishes, were great.
From the open lamb ravioli, to cacio e peppe &
Gnocchetti
& dessert’s were also very enjoyable
Why not 5 star?
Portions are on the smaller side, my only gripe
G. L.
My friend and I shared a beautiful meal here. The cacio e pepe is sublime and the panna cotta dessert full of flavour. Thanks Diana for being the best waitress!
M. B.
Incredible pasta. Loved the nduja arancini too !
N. S.
Delicious and excellent service! The desserts were also incredible!
O. R.
A small menu, but with food that packs a punch! Portions are also small (tapas size main portions), so ordering a starter is a must.
C. G.
Amazing dinner!
The vibe was so lovely in the restaurant, food amazing and Lucia really made our evening, so welcoming and friendly!!
C. K.
Such a fantastic place! Our waiter Marco was great by the way. The burrata was also good.
B. D.
A welcomed addition to Islington Green. I’ll be back for both the pasta and coffee. And thank you to Marco for the warm service!
J. K.
Honestly some of the best pasta I’ve ever had. Really lovely interior design and great service. Really can’t fault the place. I hope it succeeds!
K. S.
My favorite restaurant in Islington, thanks in equal measure to the incredible food and Marco, the world's greatest waiter.
R. J. N.
Absolutely incredible cooking, great wine. Good service and very busy for a Sunday Lunch.
H. A.
Super tasty pasta . Great service. Couldn’t ask for more .
F. J.
An exceptional experience from start to finish. As a local, we like to support local and wow oh wow was this a find. Only having opened yesterday, this place deserves to do extremely well. The love and care in the food, the service - the whole experience was truly outstanding. The best cacio e pepe I’ve had and the lamb pasta with chive oil was delicious, creative and refined. We didn’t have room for dessert but we will 100% be back, most probably next week! I will be recommending to my local neighbours and clients alike. Well Done Noci! We wish you and the team all the very best 🤗✨ From Rose & Faz - Hemmingfords
S. M.
Nice cool environment and food, service was a bit slow and portions of food were a bit small. I was left with mixed feelings, but might give it another go.
M. A.
Beautiful food and wonderful service by Diana. Great atmosphere:)

Very good pasta dishes here, friendly service, recommended
M. D.
Amazing food, really attentive staff, good environment. Perfect combination. Out of this world dessert 👏👏👏
C. L.
The food was average but not great, atmosphere was too manic, not a very relaxing dining experience and overpriced.
I. t. C.
Such a brilliant atmosphere and stunning food! Will definitely be returning.

Wouldn’t normally go out for pasta but this was unreal - best pasta I’ve ever had and great service!

Good quality pasta dishes but far too loud to have a conversation without shouting

Wonderful experience, thank you Marco for making it an unforgettable night.

Top tier Italian restaurant in London! Unforgettable food and fantastic service, Francesco was a joy to talk to
N. S.
Delicious food (cacio e pepe is superb) and great service by Diana!
C. R.
Genuine care for the menu and everyone’s dining experience - delicious!
S. Z.
Nice food, especially the Genovese. Ambience is nice, but the music is quite loud and service pretty slow.
D. S.
One of our favorite new restaurants in Angel! We loved Francesco the waiter. Thanks for a lovely meal :)
A. M.
The four pasta dishes we ordered were lovely, especially the Ragu paccheri. The prawn tagliatelle was a bit non memorable, few more prawns would be nice, however the pasta itself was cooked perfectly.
Our waitress was superb, friendly and efficient. If you want good quality pasta for dinner and a glass of wine this restaurant is a good option. Caters well for small groups.
O. H.
Service from Gyorgie and Fran was second to none.
Food amazing and great atmosphere.
10/10 could not come back sooner
¡Grazie Millie!
D. A.
Loved Francesco as our server! Such a fun experience and tasty tapas style food. Definitely a must!

Best pasta I never had! Great service and nice atmosphere. Great everyone!
L. N.
Food is average - starters were plain and the pasta dishes were ok. I had high expectations so was quite disappointed. Service was good though.
B. D. L.
Wow! Da ritornare subito. L'atmosfera è molto bella, lo staff è molto amichevole e professionale. Lucia è stata bravissima, molto gentile e simpatica. 10/10
