Reviews of Nonnos Pizza (Crouch End)

Really lovely restaurant, beautifully decorated and cosy. Food was absolutely delicious, Gamberoni and meatball starters in particular were outstanding. Some teething issues with new staff which meant it took a while to get the bill etc but we'd definitely return.

Really tasty pizza, and what a gorgeous interior and decor too, the dinnerware was so tasteful and design really beautiful. They could afford to turn the music down a tad and the lights too for more gentle ambience, and the serving staff were adorable and very sweet, but I don’t know whether it’s because they are fairly new or a bit tired, but they didn’t really seem to be ‘with’ it? Our drinks order was taken, a few minutes later our waitress reappeared but literally forgot where we were sat even though it was barely minutes before - it was just funny, not necessarily a bad thing, they were super nice people. Food was lovely and wine too! Would come again definitely or get a take out pizza!

This is a very nice and comfortable restaurant, very pleasing to the eye and their service is friendly. Most of all I have enjoyed their real Italian pizza, baked in a real pizza oven in the plain view. Would recommend for a family day out or a place where a friends can get together and socialise.

Service and food only average. Despite saying I needed gluten free, and ordering dishes that were apparently gluten free (or should have been), my starter came with toast. Server returned and offered gluten free bread which was considerate but didn't really address the issue. No apology. If you have a food allergy maybe give Nonno's a swerve as they don't appear to understand the issue.

Love the experience, the very friendly and attentive staff, the food arrived quickly and hot ♥️ the delicious taste! I would always come back! my best moment dessert. love the decoration of the place and the music 10/10♥️

Husband and I had a long mid week lunch - absolutely perfect! Attentive and not intrusive service, lovely background music, beautifully decorated, everything was delicious and the exact right amount!
We had:
House wine + disaronno
deep fried taleggio - must order this again!
meatballs - juicy!
seafood risotto - tasted very fresh and not overpowering
salmon pappardelle - husband has this and said this dish was better here than where we usually go
tiramisu - wonderful and balanced!
lemon custard delicious thingy

Very friendly staff, attentive, good service, nice atmosphere but the pizza is very average. If they were to just improve their dough to be more like Sacro Cuore's up the road then it would be a perfectly fine pizzeria. I couldn't help but feel that it was just a copy of a true Italian restaurant. Everything felt a bit uniform and as though it was just pre-prepared with a handful of rocket to accompany it. There was no flare. Sacro Cuore and Bufala Di Londra do the better pizza I'm afraid. Oh and others have said it isn't exactly cheap.

Authentic proper pizza from oven, tasty food and service Very friendly 🍕 👍🏼

Nice Interior and ok food. Friendly staff, but the service was terrible. We had to keep repeating what we had ordered. Also, the desserts were expensive and not that great. Delicious Veal and veggie Pasta though, and good pizza. Avoid the table at the rear of the restaurant. It was so cold and draughty it felt like we were outside.

We had a lovely experience here. Three families with three toddlers and two babies. The restaurant was very accommodating and the food was delicious. We’ll definitely go back!

I just ordered the carbonara as a take away and it was the best carbonara I have had!!! Not only did the restaurant call to ensure that the notes I had left were correct but the food came hot, the pasta was cooked to perfection and the sauce was smooth and tasty! Thank you! :)

Brilliant pizza place in the heart of Crouch End. The pizzas were incredible, best 4 cheeses I've had in a long time. Definitely recommend.

Very average, pizza tasted ok, but I found it extremely heavy, plus it was burnt underneath. I would definitely go for other places in the neighborhood.

The food was ok, drinks overpriced but if the atmosphere had been better it would be perfectly fine. Music too loud, just a general feeling of tension. Waitresses running about. Raised voices. My wife just defined it - it was like everyone in the place was worried that they were going to miss a flight. It felt like they didn’t know how to host.
A shame. Cos the foods passable - fresh bresola and a decent bolognaise.

Nice pizza, friendly service BUT a 330ml bottle of Peroni is £5.90! There is no possible justification for that price. For comparison the same beer is £4.50 at Bufala Di Londra and Sacro Cuore [Edited as Bufala just put price up to £4.50]

Service was great, but pizzas not brilliant. Maybe the rest of the menu is better.

A hidden gem that should not be missed, really cosy atmosphere, the best pasta that I've had in a long time, service is excellent and the design is so special, I think we found our favourite hanging out place. 🤤
