the best italian restaurant in ealing… there are few other words to add! the location: comfortable with a relaxing and discreet environment, it looks like a small restaurant in northern Italy. the staff: really helpful, friendly with a smile always on their faces. the food: amazing, 100% Italian. Been several years since eating here and return did not disappoint. Chose 2 course set lunch menu, main and pudding + drink £15.95. Still good value especially with glass of wine, soft drink if you prefer. A starter 3rd course or fuller menu is also available. This small and secluded Italian restaurant is worth a try. To be honest have not been here recently because someone told me it had closed, obviously not true and we will return. The sea bream fillet was nicely grilled (crispy skin) but not over cooked and is worth praise.

Affordable decent Italian food and a family atmosphere. The food here is good and the servers there are friendly and helpful. I like that the menu is just a couple of pages so you can make a decision relatively quickly. The only things is that we waited for the bill for quite some time. Overall the experience good and will come back here.

It has recently reopened and it is a nice hidden gem near the Ealing Mall. It has lovely and cozy atmosphere, the owner is very friendly and the chef is really good. Parmigiana or sea bream fillet, tiramisu or profiteroles - whatever you chose, you would be delighted. Top this with a glass of wine to compliment a great lunch.

This is definitely a place to eat. Food and staff are excellent. We all had different 3 set course meals plus drink but you can choose other courses from the menu. We had a retirement celebration of about 30 people on Friday at this traditional Italian Restaurant which oozes character and charm. I met with Giovanni a couple of days prior to the meal. He designed a menu specially for us. The food was exceptional. Especially the Stuzzicherie to share for Antipasti. The atmosphere was charming and the service superb. Giovanni was happy to make adaptions for specific guest requests. I couldn't have asked for more! Thank you Giovanni and all you team. A wonderful evening to treasure!

Amazing place and great Italian food and wine selection. The restaurant looks very inconspicuous from the front but in the middle it is wonderfully landscaped - tables are available not only on the ground floor of the restaurant but also on the mezzanine. Very kind waiters and whole staff. I heartily recommend to anyone who visits Ealing and enjoys Italian cuisine. Will definitely come back on the regular basis :)

Although when I ordered the homemade burger I was a bit surprised to get it without a bun or bread of any kind but was scrumptious. Only two choices when it comes to beer. Good wine list though. Would go back again to try the pizza. 3 People had a good meal for just under 40 quid.

Nice local Italian restaurant. Friendly service. Just the place to go if you want to practice your Italian. All the waiting team are Italian so if they find it difficult to understand you they have only recently arrived in the UK. Only problem is the portions are too large. Here goes....another shout out for a great gem in Ealing. Osteria del portico! It’s like stepping into a mini Italy. Beautiful surroundings (especially on a day like today!). The staff are friendly and go above and beyond. They happily made children’s sized portions for our kids even though it’s not on the menu and made them very welcome. The prices are reasonable with impressive sized portions. You can order a 2 course meal with a glass of wine or Prosecco for only £15.95. The food, wow, fresh and authentic. The spaghetti scoglio is a must if you like seafood! (And the profiteroles were definitely a winner) If you want to support a local business then this is definitely up there 😊👌🏻

The best Italian eatery in Ealing. High quality food, excellent service and good lunchtime set menu, which is very good value. Only downside is that the toilets are upstairs, so need to bear this in mind for anyone with mobility difficulties.

Fresh, modern recipes in an Authentic Italian setting. Dimmed lights and a tight seating plan take you away from the bustle of Ealing Broadway and into Rome. I had the seafood risotto and while the sauce could have been a touch more aromatic and flavourful, I ate the entire (yes they serve good portions!) plate and was sad when it was over. Would definitely go again!

Great Italian food at very reasonable prices. If you have the lunchtime offer, you can dine here for a two course meal with drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) for £12. Food is delicious and the chicken liver starter is highly recommended. Great for dining with friends or a special occasion, the staff are attentive and quick to respond when you need them. The decor is very family orientated and this together with the restaurant's set back location from the main street make this more of an experience of dining at a friends house than being in a formal eatery. Carluccios is very close by, but this is the definitive Italian dinery to try if in the Ealing area. No parking facilities available for the restaurant but there are plently of inexpensive parking lots nearby.

I can understand maybe those customers were their relatives or friends but what kind of customer service is it?

A cosy authentic Italian restaurant hiding in an enclave within a parade of shop fronts. You are immediately met with alfresco Mediterranean tables followed by indoor seating with subtle lighting. The whole ambience exudes Italy such that you can quite easily forget you are in Ealing . The dish I ordered was perfectly cooked and the wine was pleasant. Although I'd walked past many times this visit with friends provided an experience I would return for, from staff to menu offerings. Gluten free options available on request.

My parents treated me to dinner at this family-owned gem of a restaurant. Food: We initially ordered bread and olives for the table. Butter came with the bread, but there was also olive oil and balsamic already on the table for us to pour on our plates for dipping. The bread wasn't anything astonishing but with the oil and vinegar it made for a great pre-meal snack. The olives were something from heaven. I have never had olives fresh like these outside of Italy and the green olives were unreal. I ate way too many of them because they were so good. I shared a plate of the Stuzzicherie as a starter, which is a selection of the Chef's favourite appetizers. The selection varies every night but ours featured a wide array of tasty things including risotto balls, caprese salad, whole grilled prawns, grilled eggplant and peppers, calamari. The prawns, which were stunning, are a little messy to de-shell but the staff brought out bowls of hot lemon water for us to clean our fingers. The risotto balls were particularly tasty and the bocconcini in the caprese salad was divine. My main was the Spigola al Cartoccio, which is sea bass and prawns wrapped in foil with olive oil, garlic, and lots of fresh herbs. I loved how light the fish was and it was cooked to perfection without a bone in sight. I loved how the flavours of the herbs had infused into the sea bass. The only downside to this dish was that the fish was served with plain baby spinach and lettuce, which is not particularly exciting. After more wine (I had the house white which paired nicely with the prawns and the fish) we had the Canollo for dessert. The ricotta was nice and cold, almost like a cross between the cheese and some sort of gelato. I really can't say anything wrong about this dessert. After all of this feasting we were treated to limoncello, which was a lovely way to cleanse the palate. Needless to say I was pretty well stuffed by the end of the meal and happily rolled myself home. Cost: Some items are a little pricey, but it is for quality food. They have a special on every night where you get a starter, main course, and a glass of tasty prosecco for just shy of 15 pounds so a night here can be very affordable. Service: I absolutely loved the staff, who were respectful, cheerful, and incredibly attentive. They allowed us just the right amount of time to digest, drink and chat between courses. Cutlery was brought out according to the dishes ordered and empty dishes were promptly removed. Our coats were ready for us again when we were ready to leave. No complaints here. Decor: T he decor here is exactly that of an Italian trattoria. You walk in and are suddenly in a small Italian side street with little bistro tables and plants (the patio). Inside there are two floors, each with an intimate dining room for patrons. Was I astounded by the decor? No, but it was ideally paired with what this restaurant offers: an authentic, exquisite taste of Italy.
