Reviews of PierinoRestaurant Pizza Pasta
A. H.
Italian restaurant near the famous science and natural history museums serving good pasta, pizza, desserts and coffee. Ideal spot for dinner after a visit to the museums.
z.
Had the “scaloppine alla milanese”: was good however the veal scaloppine was just too thin I could only taste the bread crumbs.
We always tried the tuna pizza (didn’t picture): was so good! Definitely would recommend!
Dessert was good as well 👌🏼
Lovely service too!
G. R.
Brilliant pitstop after a day at the museums. Very friendly and helpful staff, with very good food, fairly priced for the area and good size portions. It is very well presented and warm, despite the Covid-19 precautions, which didn't get in the way of having a good meal. The food is cooked with quality ingredients and it was delicious. Couldn't decide on the cheesecake and the staff was again brilliant, by giving us smaller portions of 2 of them and they were both amazing. Highly recommended.
LE: food is still amazing and staff is brilliant.

A great find using Google! After a long day in London with the kids we decided on a whim to eat out. This restaurant was local to where we were and had good reviews. As soon as we arrived and were seated we knew it was going to be an excellent meal. Immediately the service was very personable and accommodating. When I saw the food being made and served I was very excited as it all looked and smelt superb. We were not disappointed at all. The kids shared a pizza and pasta, as did the Wife and I. I had the Linguine al Cartoccio and it was amazing. FYI It was slightly spicier than I was expecting, but I loved it! I would 100% recommend if in the area.
B.
One of the best places in the area for Italian food. The food was delicious, they had outdoor seating which was a great plus and they were very quick with the starters and mains and professional and friendly with their service. The manager and staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The prices fair for the area and I would definitely recommend them! For the quality, service and tasty food!
S. G.
This place made me feel like I am in Rome. Fantastic pizza and pasta. Yummmmmmmm
I. V.
I had risotto with sea food was really nice 5 stars, apart from octopus was a bit chewy. Wine nice 5 stars. Black olives need to be changed.
M. B.
Had a lovely meal. I would have liked to see more covid distancing- they had plastic shields for some but not all tables- but the food was good and staff helpful with my specific medical diet. Great olive oil, wish I knew the brand.
G. B.
What a lovely lunch. Gnocchi was stunning. Thanks for the recommendation.
Pizzas were delicious and great value for money. X
C. R.
This restaurant smelt amazing when we walked in! The staff were friendly and the choices were great. Food came out in good time, and was delicious. A nice choice in London to avoid the chain restaurants. We had a bottle of each of the house red and white wine, which were tasty too.
K. M.
My favourite Italian for 2 decades! Excellent food, huge portions and a warm vibe from staff every time.
Under covid conditions they have huge screens separating the tables, sanitizer everywhere and they took contact details. I felt very safe eating here and I thank them for taking things seriously. Definitely a restaurant doing what it can to survive.
H. K.
Very nice and friendly staff. Pizza was great 👍 reminded me of my amazing memories of Naples 🇮🇹
S. C.
Italian food lover? This is your place to go
You will love everything the food, plate presentation, service and prices! The management welcomes you with a big smile and the owner makes you feel at home!
B. H.
Absolutely fantastic food here. Totally different to the usual Italian fayre, and so tasty. If you are staying in the SK area, go here to eat. Beautiful food.
M. M.
Lovely staff, delicious food. Turned up, no reservation, got seated even though the restaurant was busy. Staff were attentive and patient. Food and wine was excellent and atmosphere was homely. Will definitely go back.
L. C.
Truly incredible food and service- I’m a vegan also a while the menu had no vegan options they were so so accommodating to making me something absolutely deliciously vegan. One of the best experiences I’ve had eating out in a long time.
K. D.
Been here a number of times before we go to a show at the Royal Albert Hall and have always had a nice meal. The food and service are usually very good. My only criticism is that it can feel a little cramped and you're chair can literally be back to back with another but this has never interfered with our enjoyment. Prices are quite reasonable considering it's in South Ken.
D. J.
Seafood risotto was divine 👌 generous portions overall and good value for money. Definitely coming back with my girlfriends. Oh and the service 5 stars too!
E. M.
Exquisite food with amazing prices. Will definitely be back for more.
C. A.
Food was fine. Not terribly friendly service. (Very posh customers were warmly greeted) Maybe because one of us wearing tracksuit bottoms after just being discharged from hospital.
G. S.
It was an amazing discover in the heart of South Kensington!!! We 're Italians and we loved very much everything they served, from the garlic pizza bread to the calamari frittura and Parmigiana.
Paolo has been the best host ever and he entertain us during the dinner and recommend really good wines and dishes.
We are coming back very soon
Grazieeeee
R. G.
The dish I ordered had really fresh ingredients though the flavours were a touch too lacking for my taste. The garlic comes through nicely but the white wine sauce was not that flavourful. The dish is also said to have marinated chicken yet it seemed pretty plain. Overall, slightly disappointed but it's not a bad dish, flavours are subtle and the freshness stands out. Avoid if you like strong flavours, there are other dishes on the menu that seemed good, like my friend's pizza.
K. P. J. (.
The place is actually very cramped. Not enough space between the tables and chair. The food was fresh and tasty , but pricy. The service was okay as the person who took our order didn’t pay much attention to our request to bring our coffee after we had the food, instead he brought them with our food. But eventually they made us fresh ones as they got really cold. And finally we asked for the bill at our table , but nothing happened, and after 15 minutes of waiting we went to the till and got it and paid them and left. I might go there again some other day to enjoy the food!
J. O.
I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. The food was sensational. Really lovely staff too.
R. O.
Went for lunch in November 2021, found this restaurant by accident and had a wonderful meal with great staff and a really friendly atmosphere. Will definitely return when I next visit London
E. S.
Cozy atmosphere. Wonderful staff. Delicious food. I witnessed another customer reeking of self entitlement and dripping with rudeness but the waiter stayed calm and didn't let it bother him or any other customers. Bravo!
m.
Italian food at its best. Reasonably priced too. You are greeted by the owner in Italian. The food was absolutely delicious. We will be back for more next time in London! Thanks.
J. S.
Went here for a late lunch, the staff were very friendly and professional! Food was excellent with good portions. The carbonara and bruschetta were amazing and not too pricey (rest of the menu was a little pricey but that's expected from the area). The place was clean and most of the staff had face masks on aswell. Plastic screens were put in place to help with social distancing although the place is small. Bathroom was also clean although the men and women's is not separate, they have individual cubicles (didn't personally bother me). The pasta straws were a cute touch! I would definetly visit again.
S. G.
Really good food and a lovely atmosphere. We had cannelloni, carbonara and chicken paillard before going to a show at the Royal Albert Hall. We'll definitely come back again.
M. H.
Had a fantastic mid-week lunch here with my wife and friends. Best seafood linguine I’ve ever had, just great. Friendly, family service and atmosphere.
Furthermore, my wife lost a new earring, but only discovered it after we’d left for home (Yorkshire). They found it and posted it to us.
Can’t recommend them enough.
Thanks
We’ll be back next time we visit the smoke !!
S. C.
They were very accommodating for my party of 6 American travelers during our first London visit. They let us store our luggage and were very nice. The menu was expansive and had many options. We got the garlic bread app which was delicious and I got the chicken Parmigiana. Note: chicken Parmigiana does not come with pasta in more authentic locations. The cheesecake and lemon tart were amazing! Service was attentive and the price was right! Highly recommend!
J. H.
Pizza is the best, I love their pizza! It is tsaty and is not too thick. Highly recommended. For clam pasta, it is also delicious. The staffs are friendly.
E. K.
Very good hospitality. Food was excellent.
A. B.
Nice Italian place, with good food.
A. B.
Waitress miserable. Food avarage. Wouldn't recommend.
J. B.
After a family meal, I believe this is possibly the best Italian restaurant in London.
The food is fresh and is prepared and presented how you would expect it to be.
The staff are professional and friendly, they make you feel at home as soon as you arrive.
I seriously recommend this restaurant in every way, staff excellent ,atmosphere excellent, value for money excellent, food excellent
k. D.
Nice and cozy Italian Restaurant..
For a restaurant, can not understand cans, instead of bottle or Post mix..
Food was very nice..
Service was quick and nice..
Food was good.
N. F.
Delicious food, perfect portion sizes and fair prices. Restaurant a little cramped, with little room between tables.
l. w.
Lovely restraunt. Had gorgeous meal for my birthday. Really good quality food and great friendly service. Lovely and relaxed. Would deffo visit again when next in london
G. C.
Very accommodating. Very large party dealt with brilliantly.
Food and service excellent.
Highly recommend.
V. V.
Fantastic food. A cozy ambience. Very attentive service. Had the cannelloni vegetarania and the pizza capressi. Lip smackingly good. You can tell they don't skimp on the indgredients just but how wonderful punchy their sun-dried tomatoes are. The warmth, the chaos and the gorgeous food took me back to Italy!
G. W.
Lovely staff, great food and respectable pricing. Would recommend as a repeat customer!
C. M.
Terrific, as always. Wonderful to see Michele and his team after so long. Fabulous, spontaneous pasta lunch, up to all usual standards and courtesies. Looking forward to bringing back the family. Grazie!
M. W.
We wanted to sit inside but there was no space, so we waited for a place on the small terrace. Service was fast. Good prices and good food.
L. T.
We ordered spicy pizza (the best), salmon pasta, and breaded chicken. All very delicious! House wine not bad. A tight but cozy small seating.
M. B.
Intended to have lunch there but was unable to as its currently being refurbished which is why I've rated neutrally. Will revise rating once I've eaten there.
J. W.
Amazing food! Very tasty and authentic. Staff did struggle to keep up with the busy restaurant but the quality of food more than made up for it. Highly recommend the pizza and definitely have a look at the desserts!
A. P.
Great place!!! Very tasty and convenient♥️
K. T.
Super yummy gnocchi and a dish with salmon and pasta!!! Omg delicious! Very peaceful ambiance and surroundings help or feel that way
Z. B.
The restaurant is just few minutes away from South Kensington station. Staff is very efficient even though the restaurant was very busy. The food is just nice.
L. S.
Excellent menu and good quality home made cooking. Service was excellent.
N. M.
Go to Italian restaurant when in south Kensington. Brilliant food and amazing service
A. H.
I did a fair amount of research looking for a traditional Italian restaurant for our day trip to London, Pierino did not disappoint! The menu was varied and the staff were helpful, polite and accommodating. They paid particular interest to our young daughter encouraging her now she likes to order for herself and gave me a fantastic recommendation when I was unsure between two dishes - the homemade tagliatelle was fantastic. We will visit again! Grazie Pierino
K. D.
That was a bit weird. Firstly, my friend discovered a hair in her dish. Then, my risotto was too salted. But, the replaces the dishes without any questions and what we eventually got was very good.
Service was perfect as well.
莊.
Fantastic! Highly recommended! Lovely staff.
S. M.
Really great Italian & relatively cheap. Definitely worth your time, and the service is awesome.
L. C.
Taste good!
Lots of local people.
Good for celebrating!
I. P.
Excellent calzone and reasonable price for the location
R. E.
Very accomodating staff, wonderful diverse menu of classic dishes. Pizzas to die for. We turned up for lunch on a Saturday and they found us a place!
G. D.
Stopped in here last September for our 20th anniversary. When we decided to come back to London this year it was the first restaurant we booked. The staff are friendly and the food is excellent. Looking forward to the next time already 😀
S. P.
I came here last night for a dinner date, both of us Italians, so it was easy for us to pick an Italian restaurant. We could not have chosen better! Beautiful atmosphere, from the moment we walked in, every waiter waved and welcomed us.
The girl that served us was very lovely!
The food was absolutely delicious, and I feel bad I wasn’t hungry enough to have more than just pasta, because I am sure we would have loved everything on that very varied menu!
Good choices of wine too, neither of us is an expert, but the one we picked was really good! It was a wonderful dinner, and Pierino will always be our go to place when in that area of London!
T. K.
Fantastic Italian restaurant with very homely feeling. Quick and very tasty food. Highly recommended.
J. R.
Excellent Restaurant. Fantastic Italian dishes
B.
Decent food, great service. However the online menu is frustratingly impossible to navigate.
F. F.
Very good. Great service. Classic Italian food that is cooked with pride. They've got barriers between the tables now to protect customers. Try something other than the pizza and pasta, it's worth it!
m. K.
The food is good but the waitresses and the cook don’t wear masks. I find it a bit disrespectful towards the customers as some of us are vulnerable and don’t want to catch the virus. Thanks!
P. K.
Very large, well-made pizze (and huge calzoni) mostly in the £9-£11 price-range are good value for this expensive part of London.
Very conveniently located for the museums and for South Ken.
Friendly but somewhat inattentive service.
Update:
I revistied last night (Dec. 2021) and the service was impeccable.
R. M.
Good quality food, well presented and reasonably priced for central London.
D. F. (.
Great service and fabulous food full of flavour.
J. S.
Pretty much perfect; delicious food, friendly and attentive staff and very reasonably priced considering the area.
s.
Taste of pasta was ok. Very friendly. Appetizer was delicious. Price average
A. C.
Lovely restaurant with reasonable prices, perfect for visiting after going to the nearby museums.
B. A.
We liked the environment and the staff. All of them were very polite and the (so it seems to us) Italian manager seems very knowledgeable and passionate about the dishes.
We did not particularly love the food, though. I ordered the carbonara and felt that it lacked sauce, was too dry, not to mention it did not abide to the original recipe.
My wife had a salad that was good. Maybe we didn't choose well. I would give it another try nevertheless.
M. S.
Delicious food even for picky children ;) very nice atmosphere and lovely employees . Definitely visit again on our next trip to London
D. S.
Lovely and friendly staff. Food was good. Can get a little cramped when full. Stairs to bathroom downstairs are tight but the toilet facilities seem to be clean and in order.
Was pleasantly surprised to see a pasta straw being used.
Staff were super direct and honest about food recommendations. It's always nice to be served by knowledge server's
C. a.
Fantastic food BIG portions and great price. My kids couldn’t finish there’s staff more than happy to let us take leftovers home. Would recommend to everyone.
B. W.
Fantastic service and excellent food with generous portions.
Had an early dinner before a trip to the Albert Hall and had the most excellent food with immaculate service.
The seafood starter was super fresh fish and the special I had for main was interesting, tasty and just the right size.
Service was attentive, efficient and polite, making the whole meal a delight!
E. B.
Despite being very busy, they were really accommodating. They took our order for our small child really quickly, and brought her food as soon as possible, while letting the adults be a bit more relaxed.
The food was great, even the simple dishes were really fresh and flavourful. If you are lucky enough to get a spot, this is a reasonably priced, child friendly (and adult-delighting!) place for lunch when visiting the museums.
A. H.
Fantastic food, fantastic service and great wines to relax after a session in the museum's. Pizzas are excellent, thin dough and light sauce.
L. E.
Fantastic restaurant. Delicious food, efficient service.
R. R. (.
Pizzas were OK....easy to digest but in London you can definitely have better pizzas... Nice location and vibe
R. C.
Lovely Pizzas. But not social distancing and £5 plus for a 33cl bottle of beer excessive.
A. S.
My favourite place for good pizza, the crost is so thin and crunchy, just divine!! The tomato past so tasty, the cheese and all other ingredients give such a rich taste. Absolutely in love with Napolitana, I order it with buffalo mozzarella instead of normal mozzarella... after this pizza I don't feel bloated or heavy like from some others.
M. B.
Food was super delicious and staff was very friendly. I has pasta with creamy sauce and wild mushrooms and my friends had pizza. We were all very impressed by the quality of food and service. It's crowded on Fridays and, as usual with small places, the tables are put close together, cozy. Called 45 min before arriving to book a table and they had no problem with that either.
W. d.
Great food that is freshly made. Great staff that is helpfull and polite.
A. P.
Top ingredients and first-class food ... kind staff and pleasant atmosphere ... I certainly recommend
S.
Food was very nice. I had a pizza with prosciutto and mushrooms, with olives added onto it, and it was very good. Food gets a little cold before you're able to finish if you eat outside in summer after 6pm. The food in general is reasonably priced as well :)
T. G.
2nd visit to this lovely Restaurant and again lovely freshly cooked Italian food. Pizza and Calzone. Highly recommended.
H. S.
Lovely evening meal here, good service.
x. h.
Beautiful place! Professional service, good food and nice vibe very close to the museums! Strongly recommend!
Grazie per la grappa!
b. o.
Love this quaint restaurant just a walking distance from the Natural history museum. After a day of touring the museum, I ended up here and had the best pasta that I’ve had in a while. Service is great, ambience is super nice. I suspect that during peak periods and seasons, it will almost always be full. Totally recommend
C. B.
Delicious good, generous servings, friendly service in this family restaurant. Good to see tourists and locals eating together. Seating inside and out. Great specials board. Reasonable prices. You are not rushed and you can enjoy your food and your companions
M. H.
Excellent!
Delicious Italian food. Great customer service. Will definitely visit again.
C. N.
Excellent lunch, the owners are very friendly
D. v. R.
These guys really know how to make great Italian food. My girlfriend ordered a big pizza and just couldn't stop eating. She was amazed by how nice the bread was even.. I had a pasta with ingredients that I'm not necessarily the biggest fan of, but they made it just right and it was delicious.
We went here on a busy day and sat outside, where we felt a little bit forgotten from time to time, but the personnel was really friendly overall.
D. S.
Great family run Pizza & Pasta restaurant in South Kensington, close to the V&A museum
T. K.
Awesome location for families going to the Natural History museum. Took my litter, 8-11-13. They all loved it. Great shellfish pasta. Decent pizza and fresh ingredients. Great quality and fantastic value. Family of five for lunch with wine, 70 pound. Not bad considering the area and location. Would easily recommend.
D. C.
Love this place. We showed up without a reservation and in a short while they squeezed us in. The service was excellent. The food came quickly. Everything was delicious. If you are near South Kensington Station, come here for a great Italian meal.
V. T.
Delicious!
Super fast, really friendly. Exactly what we needed. Happy we came and I’d definitely come back.
J. S.
Friendly, knowledgeable staff and delicious food!
G. G.
The waiter was always smiling. He promised to teach me some Italian, and he did. He was very pleasant and helpful. Food was excellent. Yash, our 6 year old son, loved his pasta. I loved the chicken. We sat outside as the weather was nice. Had a great time there yesterday!
T. H.
Excellent service with lovely food and a fair price.
Will go again.
L. &. J. O.
Lovely fresh food and friendly staff. A nice change from a chain restaurant.
P. M.
Was grateful to find this place in the pouring rain. Service was quick and friendly though it was quiet to begin with. The food choice was excellent though £75 for a family of 4 mains only felt expensive. The food was fresh and hot though the milestone soup was more like a scotch broth..no tomato or pasta!.
E. A.
The restaurant is nice and cozy. The food was really good. We had a salad, pizza and two pastas and I would give all of them 9/10 stars. The staff however, they are the ones who win this place it's fifth star. They are not just kind and quick. Their timing was perfect, they weren't pushy on the one hand but we didn't wait on the other. Oh, and did I mention they let our kids make pizzas for themselves?
S. R.
This was a great find. The food came out very quickly and was all delicious. Easily the best restaurant lasagna I’ve had anywhere, pizzas were very tasty and the salad was great as well. My kids loved everything as well so five stars from our family.
W. J.
We were glad to find this little place after touring the museums, Great little restaurant, friendly and helpful staff. The food was piping hot, good portions and reasonable prices. We weren't rushed, relaxing meal
A. H. O.
Amazing restaurant! We were a party of 4 and did not have a reservation and still they accommodate us really quickly! The food was amazing! Spaghetti bolognese and tiramisu were the stars of the night! Would go again for sure!
V. T.
Food was absolutely amazing, staff lovely
P. P.
You have to wait to make an order for longer then time needed for the chef to make your food, which was about 10 minutes.
M.
One of my favourite restaurants in London, and always make a point of coming here if I'm in the area. Food is absolutely amazing, with lots of choice. Staff are all lovely. Constantly recommending this restaurant to anyone that goes to South Ken!
S. K. P.
A local favourite. Crisp and freshly made pizzas and garlic bread and the seafood linguine is always delicious. Friendly staff and usually quite quick service. The only downside is that it's rather small and there may be a short wait for a table. Reasonably priced for the area.
D. H.
Fantastic meal and service. Great atmospere.
A. M.
Great experience!! Despite we were late comers for lunch time they kindly set a table for us (2 children and 2 adults). Kind waiters. Excellent burrata salad. Generous half priced child portion for any plate. Delicious homemade pasta. Probably one of the best Italian restaurants in London!
C. E.
Absolutely fantastic restaurant! Turned up on a Sunday afternoon around 3PM and we were happy to see the restaurant was semi filled out, so we were confident in eating here after seeing great reviews and cheap prices.
The lady saw us from the door, smiled at us and had a joke with us and sat us down when they found the appropriate table. All the staff members seemed to bounce of one another and were all lovely and bubbly. It made everyone as a customer happy!
We had our order taken and the food came within 10/15 minutes. I noticed they had some kind of elevator shaft where the food came from (I'm guessing the kitchen would cook it fresh and then put it in the elevator shaft so the waiters can quickly give them to the tables) but our food was absolutely fantastic. You could tell it was cooked fresh and well seasoned and it was hot so literally nothing to complain about from both of our meals.
The price is really good for a London restaurant too. Definately DEFINATELY going back here. I'm a very fussy person when it comes to food and catering but anyone reading this, I advice you to check this restaurant out, even if you live the other side of London!
J. M.
Very nice place, the staff is smiling and cheerful. The prices are affordable, which is pleasant and rare around here. We had some pasta al forno, piping hot, with extra parmigianino which was delicious. The only bad thing was the toilets which seemed a little bit neglected unfortunately. I recommend this place anyways.
G. S.
Good service, decent food, but quite pricey. 4 adults and three children: ordered average dishes from the menu (pizza, pasta, etc) nothing really fancy. Two bottles of water, two coffees and two juices. No wine. Paid out £105.00 including 10% charge which is automatically added on the bill. This is to provide an idea!!
M. W.
Food was great but we had to ask twice for the chips we had ordered with our main. We arrived at 3pm when there was just one other table occupied. Later, we went to order 2 coffees and were presented with the bill! Prices are reasonable tho :)
K. L.
This place was a winner! My family dined there twice this week and both times we were VERY pleased with this restaurant.
Firstly, the food was great. The pizzas were perfect. We're both from the NY area so we're VERY picky about our pizzas and these pizzas were great. We ordered a pasta bolognese for our young son and that was perfect, also. Lastly, tonight we had the "Popeye Salad" which was delish! The presentation was gorgeous, too.
The staff was unbelievably friendly and very accommodating. They are very friendly to our children and I would classify this restaurant as child friendly. Except just beware that it is very tightly spaced so strollers (buggies) might be tough. Also, I don't think they had any high chairs. Admittedly, I didn't ask for one, but I also wasn't offered one.
I would go there again and again if we lived in the country!
H. A.
Delicious food,good service and seating
N. O.
Very quiet post-Covid and no longer keeping open late for a meal after a Prom concert.
D. G.
Very nice pizza and pasta, great service
j.
Cozy authentic Italian pasta and pizza restaurant, a convenient walking distance to the Museums and Tube station in S. Kensington. Very family friendly and noisy- lots of kids and babies here, even on a Saturday. Staff are friendly and accommodating, and the pastas we tried (Spaghetti alla Carbonara, Lasagna, and Penne alla Gorgonzola e Fungi) were all very well prepared and delicious.
S. W.
Very authentic Italian less crowded then the stuff on main Street and a very friendly atmosphere with excellent food! Very fresh would highly recommend!
M. O.
Been coming here for 15 years. Nothing new and fancy but still good quality and good portion size. Both pasta and pizza are good.
J. D.
Italian run. So not to be dismissed. Food is good and turnaround is efficient. I won't give this place 5 stars though until it removes fresh cream from its carbonara, and indicates it will use pork jowl instead of regular bacon.
M. S.
Thank you for this wonderful meal...
E. L. M.
Nice Italian restaurant went after work on a Thursday and had a main pasta dish was enough didn't need a starter and had tap water plus a soft drink. Was 15 each so not bad. Wascvery busy and Staff ok. Toilets are cool.
N. N.
I have been for dinner. The papardelle woth salmon was the most delicious pasta tried in London. I was shocked from the flavor. The stuff were friendly
P. D.
We had 2 pizzas after the Science Museum lates, they were really good - so I recommend it if you are in the area. The staff is also really friendly, mostly Italians. Also it was 19 pounds for 2 pizzas a diet coke including service which was surprising (in a very good way). Recommend!
K. N.
Lovely traditional Italian with delicious pizza and pasta. The menu is relatively small but the quality of the food is great. Friendly, informal and attentive service. This is a great place to go after a museum visit.
L. C.
Host staff seemed a bit dismissive when we replied that we there for pizza not the dinner menu. Got seated in the back. Owner must have picked up on this and chose to wait on us. Atmosphere was modern Italian. Pizza was delicious.
J. C.
Good standard Italian fare but pricey because of the location. The menu is extensive and specials were many and varied. that should've been a warning as my special was not so special just ok. Crab ravioli that tasted like gnocchi. We were a group and our bill was presented as a total. When I asked for a breakdown, instead of going away and prepping it, they did it at the table asking everyone what they had which was irritating. Would try somewhere else next time. There are many places to eat within 50 yards.
a. a.
From the start before I set the service was super amazing.
My family and my kids loved the place and the positive from the manager.
The food quality was super good .
Pizza was amazing I love the real Italian taste and Italian service.
The price wasn't expensive and really good
D. M.
Fast and helpful staff
Clean restaurant
Really laaaarge calzone
Good price
S. M.
Nice food and good prices!
S. S.
Showed up no reservation, they had a table ready outside within a few minutes, practically on sidewalk...lol,
Ok with us as we were starving. Party of 5, had different pasta dishes ..and pizza... seafood pasta stood out the most, house wine was sub par. Quick service, would recommend.
J. L.
This restaurant was wonderful, the staff were kind and attentive and the food was delicious well worth the price. To give an example of price our total came to £47 which included 3 courses for 2 people including 10%service charge. Would go again and recommend
C. V.
As an italian I can say that this is a tasty restaurant! The risotto and pasta are very tasteful ! They deserve more clients honestly! Go there you won't regret it 😊
R. J.
Excellent food and service.
g. s.
Pizza is very good, 12 inch thin base and good selection of toppings. Menu choice good and good cooked well, good service. Let downs are just the finishing touches, like the worn menu sleeves or Morrison value olive oil and hand gel in the toilet, just a bit of a let down there, otherwise very good!
M. W.
Staff were very accommodating and the food was delicious. We shared a Bolognese style lasagne and a pizza and found both to be excellent. The pizza, in particular, had a nice striato crust and the ingredients - especially the lean, fennel enhanced sausage - were well chosen and tasty. Although it seemed to take forever to get our check (it seems to be the norm everywhere), we would definitely come here again.
C. R.
Very nice risotto. Friendly staff.
P. C.
My wife, our 6-year-old son and I had lunch here on Monday before visiting the Natural History Museum, which was just a stone's throw away. We had the garlic bread (more like a pizza cut up into slices), which was yummy, Beef Bolognese (delicious!) and the Carbonara Pasta - creamy with bacon. Really excellent food at very reasonable prices.
P. S.
Good food, reasonable cost, nice environment.
Felt hurried as booked towards the end of the evening (appetiser served at same time as main course?!?) and so we're in and out in approx 40 mins even though it didn't close for another 30 minutes.
Small gripe but otherwise, good
M. L.
Food was tasty. Staff was friendly, responsive and accommodating but at times felt a bit stressed, or almost rushed. The place is tightly furnished which on one hand make's it cozy but on the other doesn't give you a lot of space nor privacy.
M. S.
Great service and delicious food
C. W.
I almost don't want to tell everyone about this place it was that good and I would hate it to be so popular you can't get a table. Lovely food, exquisitely cooked , great attentive service , reasonably priced .
V. T.
Had a lunch here with my friends. The food was good and portions were massive which was a big benefit for our males. It was a bit cold inside and tables really close to each other. But in general it was a good experience.
R. P.
Great tasting pizza, and the service was amazing :)
M. L. (. Y.
Great place to go for a good pizza after a museum visit or otherwise. Good prices. Friendly staff. Not a lot of tables and can get busy quickly over lunch so have a back up plan in case!
D. J.
Had a wonderful evening here just the two of us. Tasty food, good atmosphere and friendly staff, was disappointed when they added service to the bill and otherwise would have left more than they asked. But will definitely go again if we are in the area. I recommend this place :-)
S. S.
Delicious and generous food. The presentation of the plate could be improved.
G. C.
great food and lovely staff!!
G. P.
My favourite in London! Great staff and amazing pasta!
T. A.
Best Italian food in london ! Great customer service along with excellent food. Highly recommend Peirinios if your ever in south Kensington. Staff are always welcoming. All in all fantastic
I.
Very good pasta, not to expensive.
T. S.
I had the seafood pasta, very delicious. Would recommend to anybody. However place is quite small so avoid busy hours if you don’t want to wait for a table.
H. A.
If you are coming to London to visit or if you've lived in London forever, you MUST go to Pierino's. The selection seemed unlimited and the food was amazing. As a vegetarian, I loved that they had marked the menu for my options, the number of which was immense. I took a friend for his birthday and the owner made it such a special evening. He greeted us with champagne and did a piece of cake after we were finished, with a little candle and the whole restaurant singing. It was perfect.
M. M.
Very friendly inviting staff, very clean, very good food! Only place with customers in the area and for times like these it says it all! A must go!
E. C.
An excellent experience here with my family. The foodd is really nice and the service is excellent friendly and quick which is just what we needed. We will return again next year
a. s.
First time here, superb food and wine, had pasta and pizza, staff very friendly and attentive, on point with sanitisation and hygiene.
R. V.
Nice atmosphere, excellent service and the food is exquisite. Highly recommend
R. S.
It's not called a trattoria but it offers great Italian food and wine at a reasonable price in the heart of Kensington. We love coming here, always busy which tells you something.
T. W.
Good food and nice service
a. v. b.
Great choice after a morning at the museums.
A. B.
Pizza was great, the waiter was really rude.. would have given 5 stars, but that waiter need to get fired.. there were several women working there, they were all nice and happy, but this one man.. he never smiled, and all the customers he talked to, he had this really negative tone..
Just from this guy alone I can't recommend this place(but the pizza was really good)
K. K.
Very attentive staff. Great value for money, given location. Really enjoyed my pizza. Good selection of wines. Would visit again.
A. B.
Fabulous food at reasonable prices
L. D.
Lovely personal service, food was quick and tasty.

Called on spec on a Friday pm and had a wonderful meal, very friendly staff, lovely ambience. Made great end to the day for our day out in town. Wife very pleased it being her Birthday.
D. O.
Very nice staff and great food! I can with my son in a pram and they did the outmost to accommodate us. 5 stars definitly deserved and the food is very good, authentic and well priced for the quality you get.
A. S.
I've been coming here since 96 and I've enjoyed it every time. The food, welcome and service are excellent.
S. H.
Delicious Italian restaurant in South Kensington. Excellent menu, nice specials, and good wine and sparkling selections. Spaghetti bolognese is as good as in Italy, and pizza is delicious. Pleasing, smart environment.
B. S.
A cosy restaurant with a friendly all-Italian staff serving delicious food at very reasonable prices. Their pasta dishes are of exceptional quality and quantity.
M. A. D.
Fantastic authentic Italian food. Service is great and very reasonably priced. Great for family, couples or just by yourself. The staff makes you feel like family!
T.
for a restaurant in London, prices were actually quite reasonable, the portion sizes were very good, and the food was fantastic (hot chocolate was amazing as well). would recommend highly
C. R.
Lovely staff, quick service, delicious food gobbled up by my whole family. We'd definitely love to come back.
S. P.
Nice find in South Kensington, in between the museums and the tube station, was fully booked (always a good sign) but could seat us outside and with the outside heating and unusual mild weather was fine... Friendly staff, good range on the menu my son had a margarita with black Olives and I had the diavolo... Good size well cooked authentic pizza.. If I find myself back in the area would go again (my Son also wants to go back... He informs me)
A. g.
Delicious food , cosy little restaurant with good atmosphere. Sevice was good. Children portion of pizza and pasta available
M. V.
I always enjoy visiting this restaurant, although sometimes it is too crowded and we don't get served. But this time I got good service and attention and the meal and red wine was very good.
I. N.
Probably the nicest Italian place in the area. Ordered some pasta which was delicious. The only downside was that the service was a bit slow at times, we spent a lot of time just waiting for the bill.
D. J.
Good food, lovely atmosphere. Staff attentive. Good location. You'll have to book. Recommended.
V. B.
Really warm welcome if you can get seated. Booking not necessary but advised. Great food at slightly more expensive prices than a high street Italian.
Y. A.
Found this place by chance, was pretty crowded, took that as a good sign so I walked in. Very nice small family owned restaurant, friendly staff. Ordered a margarita pizza, was excellent! I've been to Italy and this was almost as good!
D. S.
We arrive with a stroller at a relatively busy time. They went out of their way to accommodate us and were extremely nice. Food was delicious on top of that.
D. O.
Great little restaurant with welcoming atmosphere and brilliant friendly staff. Food was delicious, fresh and well priced. Definitely worth a visit! Will definitely be coming back
T. “. B. C.
Tasty food but pricy.
V. M.
Delicious meal but the service was kinda lacking. The waitress was nice but as they had a lot of people she didn't dedicate time to a better customer service
D. K.
Excellent. Highly recommended. Ate here before a concert, and the restaurant was almost the highlight - would consider seeing a mediocre band just to try more from Pierino's menu.
R. H.
Good food.. slightly pricey.. a little cramped as it was busy and there was 4 adults and one kid. Menu was good as were the specials. Service was abrupt...
E. S.
Have been here for several times and this restaurant really surprised me each of my visit! Tips: try different seats in your next visit, you will find some fun.
P. M.
Fantastic pizza, easy going ambiance and very friendly staff now make this one of my top 3 Italian restaurants in London..possibly with the best quality-price ratio. Highly recommended!
B. D.
Food was incredible. It's a small place so there might be a wait but it's well worth it. The food is fresh and the service was great. Prices very reasonable for the area.
R. C.
Unbelievable. Price and food amazing

My wife and I have started making this our first stop when we come down for the weekend. Great food with reasonable prices considering the location. Have just tried to book to take my brother and found they are closed for refurbishment (Jan 2013)! Gutted.
S. C.
I go here at least one month often more. Very good quick service and the food is great. It does have the occasional bad day but generally 90% of the times I go here the food is great.

Rare to find a great pizza in London but this is definitely an exception to the rule. The ingredients are great on top of a delicious thin crust.
L. M.
I didn't feel really satisfied about their cousins.
n. k.
Fitted us in at short notice. Had to leave by a certain time but that was no bother. Food delicious and filling. Staff nice enough.
B. N.
In the middle of a overly busy tourist area, where, let's face it, businesses don't need to try very hard to get customers, this place really shines. Attentive service, good food, and you feel like they care!

Reasonable prices for the area. Food very average though and seating is too cramped with backs of chairs touching and no room to get out of your chair without disturbing others.

Excellent Italian food and good service. Very busy - it's a sign that it must be very good.
S. F.
