Reviews of Pizza Brixton @ St. John's Hill

Order veg pizza (potato on top) with Nduja spicy sausage
Overall very well done, I like the raw taste of potato
They serve you a bottle of water before ordering, which is lovely

Reasonably priced pizza, friendly staff and a homely atmosphere.
There's a good selection of pizza ranging from vegetarian to halal. Also has a great selection of cheap drinks too. Loved having pizza served with chilli and garlic oil on the side.
To end the meal, lemoncello shots are a pound each!

Just collected my pizza I ordered over the telephone, I must say it’s the first time ordering from pizza Brixton but what an amazing service great quality food and a great team! I highly recommended. #plantbased

The pizza is excellent. Fluffy doughy base, delicious marinara, and a brilliant range of toppings. Good vegan selection too, with two proper VE options and vegan mozzarella available on everything. Small cocktail menu but utter bargains at £5.50. Staff are very friendly and the decor is perfect.

Food is always great in this place but service is lately rather disappointing… used to go there a lot and floor staff used to be pretty flawless, knowledgeable and very attentive.

Loved Pizza Brixton! We got a pizza diavola and another with burrata and both were excellent quality and reasonably priced. The table service was quick and the waitress that attended us - Nicole from Italy - was super friendly and lovely to talk to. Will definitely be back - grazie mille!

First time visiting this place over the holidays. One of the best pizzas I have had in London. In my opinion much better than the typically loved Franco Manca. They Also do good Gluten Free options.

Great pizza at a fair price. Really good wine and fun, friendly service! The salad was perfect and wine and pizza reasonably priced- it felt like really good value for money. The pizza is delish - We will be back! Ask for Manu!

Amazing! The staff was so friendly and the food was absolutely amazing. The dining room was beautifully decorated and there was a comfortable mood. It was a short wait for all the food, drinks and desserts we ordered. Everything was reasonably priced. Perfect for both a family dinner, date og night out with friends. Highly recommended. We ended up coming back twice during our stay.

I love Pizza Brixton but when ordering a Espresso martini I was flatly told they had no vodka.... this was disappointing because A.) why do they have no vodka- not like it has a short shelf life and B.) you’re so close to Sainsbury’s just go pick some up?! I think they have accepted they are a takeaway now and don’t make as much effort in the restaurant...

Dare I say this is one of the best pizza places in London?? I was a regular, often for take-aways, when I lived 5 mins walk from here. Authentic and tasty pizza, specifically love the pizza base. Also the staff were always so cheerful.

Clapam needed a genuine Italian place! Lovely pizza, amazing stuff! The best pizza in town!

Our most recent visit to Pizza Brixton was a wonderfully unexpected treat from the lovely manager Giovanna, after an online order mix-up. Truly delightful customer service before and during our visit, to accompany the delicious pizzas! Really nice menu and can't wait to try more things out.
The place itself is very clean, cozy and stylish and we really enjoyed our dinner there - we definitely plan to visit again in the near future. Keep up the great work!

Loved this place and the attention to my doggy. very affordable and 100% quality, shout out to Nicola the waitress who served us :)

Prices are beyond reasonable and pizzas are some of my favorite in London.

Good and tasty pizza restaurant at London. They have some kinds of tasty pizza in their menu card. The hotel is small and always full. Reserve place before you come otherwise you must wait for your meals. The portion of the pizza is quite big that you must have great hunger to finish the portion. The meal price is very acceptable.

Love this place, authentic Neapolitan pizza at a very reasonable price. If I could critique at all, it's that the interior of the place could be nicer. It's quite bright and the pine wood looks cheap. Can't complain for the price though
C. R.
Surprisingly Authentic Neapolitan Pizza!!!
Initially I was a bit skeptical about this place since the name didn't ring me any well known Italian restaurant and Pizzerias, so I give it a shot going there with my son.
The place was cosy and quiet with one of the most pleasant service I ever had
The food was the big surprise, since the two ordered pizzas arrived quickly and we'll presented.
The taste was authentic and the ingredients fresh, but even more interesting was the honest price.
As I consider my self a good connoisseur of Pizza, not only because I am Italian, and specifically from Naples, but because I use to test and compare many restaurants around the world and in this case in London, and this place is a very honest and not expensive pizzeria, therefore I strongly recommend Pizza Brexit!

Great pizza and wonderful staff. There are a wide range of toppings and the desserts are amazing!
The pizza base is excellent as well. Not soggy or too crisp.

Little restaurant serving authentic Italian food. I had a starter (burrata, olives, sundried tomatoes, etc.) and a pizza with olives, artichokes, mushrooms and buffalo mozzarella.
The starter was okay, probably nothing exceptional for someone used to Italian food, but it was not bad.
The pizza was tasty, I liked the crust and the toppings on it were quite abundant.
Finally, also prices were quite good; I would say that they are on the lower end for a good pizzeria in London.

Brilliant pizzas. Good price. Friendly staff.

Delicious Sicilian pizzas and desserts and great prices. Staff was lovely and very friendly. If you go soon, order the special 1 pizza, that pumpkin cream pizza is on of the most original and tastiest pizzas I've had in a long time! We'll be going back veeeery soon!

Really great pizza, wonderful staff, and very reasonable prices (especially compared to the other local pizzerias). We probably go here / get take away twice a month.

Very happy we came back for a second try!
My first visit to Pizza Brixton (the Brixton branch) was unfortunately rather a disappointment. However, Pizza Brixton responded to my review very positively - and their customer service from this point on was outstanding. They really took time to engage with me, and deeply understand all of the problems I had. They assured me that they had identified the source of my issues, and dealt with them all, and invited my girlfriend and I to their St. John's Hill branch to try again - I'm pleased to say that I am very glad we took them up on this offer.
The whole approach to customer service was very sincere and caring - it was extremely clear that the level of detail I went into in my previous review meant a lot to them, and they were extremely keen to ensure everything was taken care of, and we were converted to happy customers - which we were. I should mention, when I say "they", it was actually the owner of Pizza Brixton who liaised with me, and he even cared for us personally on our return visit: and what a genuinely honest and friendly chap he is!
Our second experience was much better. The quality of service was very warm and welcoming from all the staff, as was their attentiveness and speed of service. The overall environment was much better too: despite also being a Friday evening the restaurant felt less busy... even though it was actually full. Probably helped by enough staff, and less telephone orders (I saw a few takeaways go out, but we didn't have the phone ringing constantly in the background like during our first visit).
The clientele was nice too - a generally good, happy, bustling atmosphere.
The food was, I think, better too - very delicious in fact. We had the starter with mozzarella, tomato, rocket, and pesto (the saving grace of our previous experience) - which again was very tasty. We also had garlic bread which was delicious... but could probably have been half the size. To be fair, the manager did warn us not to fill up on it too much in advance of our pizzas. Both our pizzas were delicious: I had the special which used pumpkin instead of tomato, and (amongst other things) had dollops of quince jam, and chunks of fennel - what an unusual but interesting and importantly delicious combination! I'm glad I opted for this recommended option. My girlfriend had a pizza with a tomato base, and this tasted very good compared to my previous experience where I recall the tomato was quite acidic and overpowering.
We also had the homemade Tiramisu afterwards - which was also delicious - and an impressive portion size.
All in all, very happy with the quality and taste of the food. My only minor criticism might be that the pizza crusts were slightly on the chewy side... I personally prefer them lighter and crisper. But the pizza bases themselves were nice.
We also had some very nice wine, and were offered limoncello and/or an espresso afterwards.
One very important thing I should note is that I don't think the very personalised and caring service we experienced on this second occasion was specific to us just because we had been invited there following a prior complaint. On the contrary, EVERY customer was receiving the same level of service: we were enjoying looking around and noticing not only the manager, but the other waiting staff too, regularly doing the rounds attentively checking on all the customers in the friendliest of terms, and even striking conversation and laughter with the customers - there was a happy and jolly vibe around us because of this. Also, everyone else was receiving the same speedy service as us.
We are very glad we gave them a second chance and had a lovely evening. Thank you!

Excellent little pizza parlour that offers up authentic italian ingredients on their made to order pizzas. Un fact, they have so much faith in their dough they even have a small selection of dipping sauces on their menu, so you don't have to waste a single bite (I tried, and recommend, the salsa piccante which has a spicy kick to it). The pizza bianca (the cima de rapa) was one of the best versions we've had - plenty of cheese and salsiccia with classic italian greens to ease the richness. The Diavola was also very decent, although I would have hoped for a little more n'duja (available as an added extra).
The restaurant itself is very cosy, and opens out onto the street during summer with an excellent line in early 21st century pop music in the background. The service is very polite and speedy as well - we were eating less than 15 minutes after we walked in.

Great food. Wicked drinks selection

One of the BEST pizza I've ever had in London! Great price and the staff are fantastic, they can't do enough for you. Thanks again for a fantastic experience.

This is what a margherita should taste like. Fresh tomatoes, great mozzarella and an amazingly fluffy but crispy crust. Best pizza I've tasted in London.
Awfully confusing name, though. " Best place to eat pizza? Brixton!"
C. V.
Very pleased! One of the best pizza places in the area!
N. S.
Absolutely love the pizza here. By far the best in the area, and I’d maybe go so far as to say one of the best in London!!!! Well priced and lovely setting. They have nailed the crust
L. S.
Definitely my favourite places in the area when it comes to Neapolitan pizza. It’s not just delicious but honestly priced too. You won’t easily find another place that does Aperol Spritz for just over a fiver.
The menu is great, always with specials available on the board. A lot of dishes from Puglia. The portions are generous; the tiramisu I had was massive, so big I actually asked if it was a double portion to share!
And try the burrata, it’s worth every penny!

Great local pizza joint with a 5 star service. Thank you to our waitresses from July 12th evening - very friendly and welcoming :) Will be back !
Recommendation- try all 3 crust dips, Yum!

Pizza is really good and the vegan cheese tastes better than what I have tried in other places.
Warm and friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended.
M. S.
great pizza, great prices - my only criticism is that i'd like a thin crust but totally understand that that's not authentic. lovely italian staff, too.
A. H.
One of the best pizzas around... good ingredients, great dough and authentic taste. Decent value, nice setting - will be there a lot
A. D.
Super tasty authentic pizza. We went personally to pick up the order to support local businesses just like this one!
N. R.
Not as nice as Brixton branch as they do too many home deliveries from here and the door is constantly open. Food good but staff too busy with take out orders. Just go to Brixton branch to appreciate the food and service.
N. D.
Great little place,, this. Friendly staff, good pizzas, smart design, doesn't look as if it's been done on the cheap (even in the toilet), every table taken, says it all.
B. B.
Excellent authentic pizza and decent portions. We ordered diavola with nduja and the chicken Caesar salad, both were great.
A. H.

This is my favourite place for pizza in London by far. Outdoor seating available, friendly staff, and the pizza is amazing
A. A.
This small restaurant is run by Italians, in spite of the branding, and it bakes a surprisingly tasty and authentic pizza. It's definitely worth a visit or a delivery order.
M. W.
Pizza made with real taste by Italians who clearly care. Crust dips a hidden treat. Recommend the salsicca pizza - it’s got a star mark for a reason!
J. K.
Hands down the best pizzeria in the area. Very friendly staff, great atmosphere. The puccia is fantastic and will be my lunch of choice from now on!
