We came for pizza after a visit to the British Museum. A nice quaint little place. It was very busy but we got a table. The service was a bit slow but the guys were friendly. My American pizza was delicious as were the famous dough balls.

Had a lovely meal. Very friendly staff and an interesting building that used to be a dairy. (Have a look at the ceiling lights which are an amusing historical touch). Try the amaretto chocolate cake sweet which is amazing. A trip down memory lane for my wife who was taken there by her brother back in 1967 or 1968 shortly after it opened as a pizza express when he was a student at UCL.

As far as pizza expresses go, this one is fairly standard. You know what food to expect and this branch was no exception. Tasty pizza, reasonable prices. The entire team of staff here were incredibly friendly and the service we received was great even though we hadn't booked and it was a busy Saturday evening. Facilities were very clean. The only downside to this restaurant was that the restaurant itself was on the small side, a few parties had to be turned away so I would advise booking, especially on a Saturday. Location of this Pizza Express is great, a few minutes walk from the British Museum etc.

This was the first time my coeliac partner has eaten in a restaurant since she was diagnosed and the staff were very helpful and reassuring. The GF pizza is pretty good and the halloumi fries (all for me) were delicious!

Historically interesting Pizza Express that opened way back in 1967. It was the second PE restaurant and is based in a Victorian dairy. Food and service are (as always) spot on. Well worth a visit.

In a nice old fashioned building, the good old Pizza Express which brings the very known Italian food. We had some pizza, salad and a very nice wine. What can be wrong ? So if you in this area, I believe you׳ll find the stuff very welcoming and the good service with this food will make you happy!

Want a quick trip to Italy? Tried two different pizzas here and it was the best 🍕 I've had since living in Cortona for the summer. Also very short walk from The British Museum so it was perfect timing to refuel before walking back to the Hotel. The service was great. Restaurant was very clean. Nice ambiance. Prices were as delightful as the pizzas. Such a perfect moment in time- 2 pizzas and 2 adult beverages for £35. Oh and I didn't do it, but they have a deal if you leave a review you get a free appetizer. I was too full as it was, on top of I prefer to leave my reviews independently. Bon appetit

Love this restaurant, beautiful place with history in the backstreets by the British Museum. Delicious pizzas and puddings! Very friendly service, one of my favourite places.

Has a familiar taste. Not bad, but also not really great. The atmosphere was unlike that of a pizzeria, however, it was pleasant. The staff were very quite. When we ordered our food, they listened without asking any questions, which left an empty feeling of doubt, so we had to confirm our order, just to be sure..

After visiting British museum and a group of 9 if us (4 adults and 5 kids) went to Pizza Express for lunch. Service was excellent with very friendly staff and quality of pizza was very good and consistent to what you expect at a Pizza Express restaurant. Everyone left happy with the overall dining experience.

Went at short notice to the Original Pizza Express. They found us a table and the service was excellent throughout. Nostalgic food and my favourite pizza ( Veniziana classico). Used to come here 30 years ago and it seemed not to have changed, which is a good thing in this instance.

Lovely food but not enough staff to meet demand. We arrived at 12.30 and left at 2.15. We abandoned dessert even though it was included in the price for the children as it was taking twenty minutes to get the attention of the staff. The staff were so rushed off their feet they barely spoke to us. It was a shame on the staff and the customers.

The service is great. The friendly staff took time to explain their food allergy policy, shared their very detailed allergen guide and put us at ease. Great selection of desserts and pizzas for people with all kinds of allergies and intolerances. Definitely recommended!

Haven't been to a pizza express for ages but have to say that the pizza I had was very tasty and well cooked, the restaurant is quite an attractive old building, the only reservation would be the price as it's not that cheap but I guess you get what you pay for.

We used to eat here as students, almost 50 years ago. It's really just the same! Except the prices are much higher and the portions are smaller. Fond memories, but Pizza Express needs to up its game and compete with, for instance, the likes of the excellent Franco Manca.

Off of Great Russell Road near the British Museum, it's away from the chaos. We went in late afternoon and ordered two pizzas for three as a late lunch that wouldn't affect our dinner. Delicious! Great service but maybe that's because we were the only guests at that time.

Chain pizza place - the kids loved it because they loved the dough balls. Kids meal was good, well priced, but adult stuff was pretty small portions for the prices. Would probably not go back because there are so many different pizza choices in London.

I popped in probably close to closing time, just wanted a pizza to take away. The pizza was nice, not the best I've had but it was good if not a bit pricey, particularly for takeaway. The waitress wasn't in great form either and was making it obvious. I felt uncomfortable so can't imagine how the folk who were sitting in felt.

A really nice Pizza Express with stained glass windows. They have stuff inside to read about the history of the restaurant which is really interesting. Other than that it's a standard Pizza Express so you know what you're getting in terms of the food.

First place we ate in London after visiting British museum after train to euston. Convenient location. All Italians working it seemed. Authentic tasting food. Kids loved it.

The food was amazing! They are quite cramped in there. Its good for somewhere to stop quickly whilst you are already out with a small group, but I wouldn't recommend planning a meal there for big groups.

Unlike some of the other Pizza Express restaurants I've eaten in over the years, this one has a bit of character. Tucked away in a back street close to the Oxford Street / Tottenham Court Road junction this is a former dairy and the interior is wonderful - tiled walls, lights made from milk bottles - and full of character. The food is typical Pizza Express fare, so you know exactly what you're going to get, but extra marks for the interior of the restaurant.
