The best pizza you can buy in London! The ingredients are so fresh and the dough is perfect, and for such a cheap price too. Definitely my go-to pizza place from now on!

Stayed in this area with my family and we were really struggling to find somewhere to eat as it was so busy and being from Newcastle we don't know the area. Came across this place by chance. This is the place to go if you want proper authentic pizza. The food was delicious and the staff were really friendly too with excellent service.

A brilliant place to enjoy fabulous pizza. I´m delighted that Pizza Sofia has survived intact the last 2 years of closures and restrictions due to COVID, it more than deserves to prosper. My husband and I ate there last night and I´d forgotten how much I´d missed their wonderful pizzas; expertly prepared using the highest quality ingredients as they are. The buzzing, cheerful environment (make sure to book; it´s deservedly popular) and charming host, waitress and service added to the fun and enjoyment of our night. Make sure to go and experience the pizzas at Pizza Sofia for yourself, your taste buds will love you for doing so. Thank you to all involved.

These guys had just reopened after the pandemic when we went a few weeks ago. Long and short: the pizzas are top notch, they catered brilliantly for our large party at short notice, made some kid-sized pizzas on request (and fast), and were just all-round lovely. As a non-drinker, I'd love to return to find some alcohol-free beers available, but appreciate this is a small independent which is finding its feet again after a mad year. Forza!

Don’t be fooled by the fact that the place is small and the menu looks handwritten, because Pizza Sophia prepares prime pizzas! Numerous flavour choices, fair price, quick service.... In all, a very recommended visit! It usually gets busy on the weekends, so you may be turned away... However there is the option to order and pick it up.

Fantastic pizza, in a cosy little restaurant which also has a downstairs seating area. When we arrived the upstairs was full so the waiter begrudgingly seated us downstairs - even though we were the first customers down there, it soon filled up. It loses a star however for the lacklustre service. No friendliness, can’t be bothered attitude with no pleasantries such as welcomes and goodbyes. Food is good though and we didn’t wait too long even though it was quite busy. Worth a visit if you’re in the area and fancy a nice pizza.

The moment we settled in our hotel went straight there, place cozy with tight tables, has also basement area for eating but didn't check, food was FAST, beer good (tap), pizza was really juicy and had taste. They closed at 1700 which surprised me me, good thing we came around 1600. Recommended for sure, don't bring more than 4 ppl. No Wi-Fi.

I would give it 5 stars because pizza is very good. One of the best in London. But staff service was sadly less good. To be fair we were served by a couple people at the same time and one of the gir was very helpful, another girl clearly had a bad day and decided to act it out on customers, being snappy and upleasant and even going as far as to correct our pronounciation of dishes. Clearly not acceptable at any restaurant. Otherwise good place for pizza. Maybe better for take away to not have to be made feel like an idiot for ordering your food “the wrong way”.

Nice little cosy place which has downstairs seating as well. I did not go downstairs so I’m not entirely sure how spacious or exactly how many seats there are here. The service was very good and quite fast. I would estimate that the time between ordering and the pizza arriving was only around 7-8 minutes or so. The pizzas are a very generous size, and are at a relatively pleasant price. I ordered a pizza with ham and mushrooms and it cost me £9.95. I thought this was very reasonable for the size of pizza that you get. If you do not finish your pizza in the store you can receive a pizza box to take the rest of it away with you. I was very pleased with my visit and would happily go again!

Very nearly loved this restaurant but the service was fast, too fast and very regimental. Tables downstairs are very close together. They didn't have all the toppings for the pizza and mine was quite burnt. On the plus side, it was still a really good pizza and perhaps if we'd booked and got a table upstairs, ordered starters and a bottle of wine to slow things down it might have been better? Good enough to try again sometime!

Really nice anchovy & olive pizza, my friend pizza's looked great too! Very well priced (could easily charge more). Nice atmosphere - I heard them playing some Mos Def and other old school hip hop tunes, respect! My Italian friend says that this is the best Pizza place in London and is the only place she goes!

Great little independent pizza place and run by Italians, which serves freshly made pizzas as well as antipasti, salads and pasta dishes. The food is good quality, the prices are reasonable (pizzas are around the £10 mark) and the service is quick and friendly. It's more of a casual dining room and you can book via email or over the phone (no online booking system) but I would highly recommend visiting if you are in the area.

Ordered the Americano (I think)... basically corresponds to a Canadian "all-dressed" but without mushrooms. Excellent pizza. Perfect crust. I definitely recommend this place if you a pizza fan. They also have a variety of homemade dipping sauces which are delicious.

Pizza Sophia is some of the best pizza I have had in a while. Their meats are fresh and tasty, and their pizza selection is creative as heck! I had the New Yorker. I came with a large group and we all thought the crust was the best part. It is the right consistency - not too chewy but not too tough. I would trust any food they gave me to be at the same level as the pizza. The prices are not too expensive either. A whole pizza is around 12£. Definitely check them out.

Very very good. You should order from the American smoked meat menu. You'll want a whole pizza each though, since a) they're not that big and b) it's too delicious to share We were offered tap water while waiting for our takeaway, which doesn't hurt either. Price £10-13 at time of review.

This was a great find; a colleague and I had lunch here by chance and it was fantastic. we were both stuffed by the end, but happily so. Great pizzas, wonderful salads and some 'lighter' options, or at least, smaller. The chef was generous with the olive oil and salt, so everything was delicious. Whilst not particularly healthy, it was good food done well. The waitress was great; unobtrusive and efficient with us, but we caught the beginning of a large group of young (spanish?) lads, and she was really welcoming to them, explaining to them what the different herbs were etc. Patience of a saint!

We went on a Monday lunchtime with 3 babies and the staff were really welcoming and happy to accommodate us. The place was fairly busy but there was space. The food was great - I had the Veganissimo vegan pizza which was large and tasted great - I also really appreciated that they didn't put fake cheese on it (which generally ruins vegan pizzas for me). The Bruschetti and Olives I had were also spot on. Prices for the location (and even not thinking about the location) are really reasonable and this place deserves to be better known!

The sign of a good pizza place is when your pizza comes with a fried egg and it's still runny, this was the case at Pizza Sophia. Great Inglese, like having a fried breakfast on a pizza but not too heavy.

My boyfriend and I had a fabulous dinner here on a Thursday night. We sat outside and they had heaters available to turn on but the weather was perfect so no need to turn them on but I love the option. It was the perfect busy, no one had to wait more than 5 mins for a table. The owner is wonderful, very friendly and had all his guests smiling as well as laughing! He made a perfect wine suggestion of pinot grigio, we ended up having 2 bottles! The entire staff is super nice and very attentive, checking in on us and everyone else around us -even if it wasn't "their" table. And the food, holy tastebuds, an explosion of flavors that can only be achieved with top notch ingredients! We had to ask what time Pizza Sophia opened the next day in hopes of having one more awesome meal but sadly for us we were headed out of town before lunch hour. We will definitely be visiting again on our way back through in a few weeks. Thank you for outstanding food and a wonderful experience!

Compared to the chain Pizza restaurants, Sophia does a better Pizza! It's thin but still has a fluffiness, but not soggy whatsoever and ingredients are good quality (for example I had Americana and the pepperoni was very good). You'll have to try to decide whether you prefer Pizza Sophia over others! Pizza's are cheaper than the chains but the environment is not quite as glitzy - although you may prefer the intimacy and more relaxed atmosphere at Pizza Sophia

Pizza was a Franca manca standard. We had a few starters which were good. Very disappointed with the water based tiramisu. Instead of using brandy ect they soaked the biscuits in water? It was on the pizza list until that point. Service wasn't the best either. Also house red was on the mediocre side.

Excellent pizza. My only compliant with this place is that they add you the service charge without asking. Even also they are already charging you extra if you eat there instead of take away. So, double charge, almost £2 extra, for you if you eat there, keep this in mind.

Small and authentic Italian pizzeria, they serve excellent neapolitan style pizzas, and to their credit I have to add that instead of serving the usual Peroni they have the courage to serve pretty good British craft beers. Probably one of the best pizzerias I've been to in London, and it doesn't hurt that the prices are quite reasonable!

Great pizzas, awful manager. Ordered a pizza di parma — absolutely delicious, I actually keep dreaming about it. Also ordered an insalata caprese. The leaves were a bit old, but it was okay. My peach iced tea was overpriced for what it was — flavored water. There were good veggie options. The manager almost ruined the experience for me. She has no social skills, told me and friend off because she thought we were gonna sit across two tables when we were actually just trying to get to our seats(??), was impatient when we were ordering, impatient when I inquired about the toilets too. Halfway through our meal, they started turning people away at the door despite the open sign being there and it being far from their closing time. Then her and some friends just sat outside having a chat and eating and passing time. When we thanked the kitchen staff as we were leaving she said "I'm actually outside" to us. lol the staff deserve thanks for the great food, she needs to go back to training because customer service is appalling.

Veey good Italian style pizza and friendly staff. There is a larger space downstairs which is better for groups, as at ground floor the tables are really tiny and close together. Toilets are downstairs as well, so there is no disabled access. Sometimes quite a trendy crowd of locals. My favourite pizza is pizza Roma (with grilled vegetables) but also simpler choices are very good such as margherita or bufala.

Tried this place as it is very new just next to us. Did not expect much, were waiting quite longer than told, but in the end were surprised. I went to Sophia's back on about the 1st of July, when I went in it was really hot outside and the top floor was hot, but downstairs was very cool, and the Manager I believe his name was Bruce C, was down running the bar and me and my family sat to eat pizza and watch the Futbol, Bruce gave us some utterly amazing service as well as sat and chatted with us, I was a tourist in London and it was one of the best social experiences I had in the UK, thank you to Manager Bruce for that, also the food and drinks were amazing as well! I will definitely return next time I'm in London!
