Reviews of Pizzaverde
W. B.The Pizza is generally fine, but the gluten free is the pull here. As a resent recruit to the wheat free army (not my choice) I am impressed with the quality. However, to get the most out of it, I would suggest placing a slice on a very hot frying pan at home to add some crispness to the base. The standard pizza suffers from too much tomato for my taste.
The layout is bizarre inside, but has a Lewisham Way charm about it, the colours are mad. Bright red everywhere. Always nice staff, but some work to do overall.
R. K.had a great pizza (normal & gluten free) here on Saturday. use separate ovens for Gluten free to avoid cross contamination and the pizzas were both really good. Quite a basic atmosphere inside (few tables, no music, very limited drink selection) but the food was so good that we will definitely go back.

We previously had a takeaway which was nice but thought it would be better to eat in so the pizza was straight out the oven.
So this time we sat in the restaurant, the decor is a bit confused, but the service was pleasant and pizza was delicious. We also ordered a salad which was terrible as the avocado & tomatoes weren't ripe so we have learnt for next time to stick with just lovely pizza.
A. M.Great pizza. Not very good as a restaurant though, which is a real shame. If it were a nicer restaurant I would come more often as the pizza is really really good. It's fine as a takeaway. That row of shops around Pizzaverde is in desperate need of a good restaurant, so Pizzaverde could be a really great restaurant if it was nicer and tried harder to attract eat in diners.

S.While I do always find it slightly upsetting when eateries charge extra for food that fulfils dietary requirements (+£1.50 for gluten-free base), it was nice to find a local non-chain pizza place serving gluten-free pizza. The pizza itself - we chose a Burrata - was great, excellent chewy base, tasty tomato sauce and a (very) big helping of fresh rocket with a whole burrata mozzarella in the centre, soft, creamy and delicious. Also nice that the pizza was a normal size, not half the size of a standard issue as is often the case with gluten-free options. We shared one between two and felt we'd had a good meal. Staff were friendly too despite the fact that we were probably the last customers of the night.
E. H.Well priced, especially considering the prices of Dominos etc. Absolutely delicious, fresh ingredients, the melanzane side was unbelievably good. Aren’t many places to get stone baked pizza to take away and this has been a great discovery that we will definitely be revisiting.
p. p.Really good quality pizza. Also one of the best gluten free pizza bases we've found in London. They even had a separate oven to avoid cross contamination.
o. c.the pizza is so good !!!! and the prices are so good !! honestly best pizza place in new cross and even in SE london or even in the whole of london tbh. my friend is gluten free and her pizza was really good and you can’t even tell it’s gluten free and they even cooked it in a different oven ! 10/10

M. T.Great thin pizza, and try the panuozzo. I won't get the one with sausages again as they seemed cheap, and cold-topped pizzas can arrive a bit cool if you get a takeaway.
T.Great sour dough pizza (gluten free on request). Wednesday evening 'buy one get one free' has now changed to 'buy one get one half price'.
