Reviews of Saigon Saigon
E. R.
Wonderful service and great food. The staff were lovely and extremely accommodating. We were so hungry and every other restaurant was closing, but the staff here were lifesaving!! Also, best egg fried rice in London!:)
A.
Beautifully designed restaurant. The vibe inside felt very authentic and special. I found the members of staff professional, courteous and welcoming. As for the food, please see below my comments.
Starters
Vegetarian spring rolls with mushroom & tofu (v) 4.5/5
They served four crunchy spring rolls, which was a good amount and they tasted nice.
Vietnamese spring rolls with chicken & prawns 3.5/5
They also served four spring rolls. However, they were smaller than the vegetarian ones. In addition, they had a funny taste given that there was a mix of chicken and prawns. I would have preferred to see them at least of a similar size of the vegetarian spring rolls and separate the chicken from the prawns to not have too much taste all at once. I was also informed that the chicken they serve is halal, which was a plus for my needs.
Prawn Crackers 4/5
Delicious crackers with a strong prawn taste. They went down quite well when dipped in the sweet chili sauce.
Mains
Stir fried prawns with chilli, garlic & lemon grass 3.5/5
Good mix with the garlic, chili and lemon grass, which made it taste well. Yet, the skin of the prawns were not fully peeled off, meaning that a considerable amount of time had to be put for finishing the peeling process before eating the prawns. I have been to several Vietnamese restaurants in the past and none of them served half peeled skin. In addition, the dish tasted well but was quite high on the oil side.
Spicy caramelised sea bass in clay pot 1/5
I would not order it again.
Sides
Egg fried rice with vegetables 3/5
Slightly on a bland side but quite close to decent.
Steamed rice 5/5
It's very hard to go wrong with this and the rice was as expected.

I ate here last night and I cannot stop thinking about HOW AMAZING IT WAS. All the sauces are made in house — all UNPARALLELED. I’m not usually a fan of sweet and sour sauce but I asked for second helpings of theirs — that good! I had the prawn crisps, soft shell crab starter, the papaya salad and the beef pho. I’ve been eating different kinds of Asian food for the past two weeks since I’ve got a friend in town who is fan, and I can say hands down this was our favorite meal. Cannot wait to go back and try more of their menu. This is probably my only food review this year and it’s very well deserved.
C. M.
Great range of authentic Vietnamese food (and beer, and bubble tea!) in a really nice setting. Staff very friendly and customer service is second to none. One very small drawback, which is nitpicking, is that tables are a little too close together - but cannot find fault with the food or the service.
K. D.
10/10 will be coming back very soon. Came here to celebrate my birthday and had the best customer service I've ever experienced. Trinidad was so lovely and made it so special for us.
J. I.
To begin with I have a sweet tooth and a fan of meat
I'm deeply inlove with this Authentic Vietnamese Restaurant located at (Kingstreet in Hammersmith) I would describe this restaurant as a hidden gem of West London and everyone must try a dig or have a go!
To be specific this dish is the "Caramelised stewed pork in a clay pot" and it was immaculate! I'm a art student and I would describe this dish as a masterpiece with flamboyant flavours, detailed elements, and it was fun!
I had one of the best dinner tonight not only because of the food, but also because of the hospitality and service of the floor staff.
If you're reading my review you should not only try the Caramelised Pork, you should try the whole experience from A to Z!❤
D. F.
A great restaurant with awesome and friendly service. Food is delicious and reasonable priced. Darna our server was excellent. Will definitely come back!
N. G.
Lovely restaurant, excellent service and very friendly staff. Food is good, plenty of choice. Starters are amazing especially Prawns on Sugar cane and Squids. If you want to have a relaxing evening with your family and friends this is the best place to go to.
A. L.
Good quality Vietnamese at decent prices. Four stars rather than five as I felt the Pho had decent flavours but lacked punch. I love a good Pho so was somewhat underwhelmed. My fellow diners rated their mains highly though and the starters were excellent. Recommended.
P. N.
This is a brilliant restaurant which has lots of tasty options on the menu. I always enjoy the pork ribs alongside the egg fried rice with chicken. All options are cooked to order so can be adjusted to personal preferences. Service is fast, efficient and friendly. One of the best restaurants in west London. If there was room for improvement it would be to add a couple of drink options, including cider.
M. S.
The staff were very nice. But the food was average yet is overpriced.
B. L.
My parents came down to London to visit me so we went to our usual Vietnamese place. The starters were nice, specially the prawns on sugar cane which is served with stacks of rice paper, pickled vegetables and rice noodles patty. For the mains we had mixed beef pho and that broth was very salty and not much beef but a lot of noodles.
J. B.
We were a large group of 9 who enjoyed the intimacy of the VIP area. The staff were extremely attentive and helped to recommend our delicious banquet! We had a fabulous evening!
C. B.
Good taste food & drinks. Easy to find. Table sitting is a bit tight but ok. Toilets are downstairs, clean! Good services but mandatory service charge about standard rate 10%. Overall good!
P. K.
Food was great, especially the sweet and sour chicken. But the service....
It took 45 minutes between the dishes to arrive, when I finished we have to wait another 30 min for the other dishes to arrive
C. N.
Service: 4 stars out of 5 stars
Food quality: 3 stars
Food taste: 3 stars
Environment: 4 stars
Value: 4 stars
Not the best pho I have had but overall an ok restaurant to go to. The noodle was too hard and not enough soup and soup was not hot enough. I have had items missing from the bowl as I was told they ran out of ingredients. The grilled pork rib tasted quite good and I like them. Shrimp Fried rice was too wet. The young waiter and waitress were very nice. Owner looked a bit intimidating but that's a typical and normal Asian tiger lady. Will go again for more grilled items to see if they are good.
L. A.
A very good Vietnamese restaurant in Hammersmith, many interesting dishes to choose from.
Well attended service.
Highly recommended 👍

My partner and I went to Siagon Siagon last night. From the outside it looked so fancy from that point on we were not disappointed. It was so busy but the manager was so friendly and accommodating that she offered us complimentary Prosecco. The food was also impressively fresh, flavoursome and delicious.
O. E.
Great Ambience, my portion was quite small but I think I picked the wrong dish as others portions looked huge. Food was tasty and drinks were refreshing.
M. M.
5 stars and this is the first place that I wish I could give 10 stars. Where to start?
The food is freshly cooked, full of balanced flavours, our party was 4 people, each chose a starter and a main, and we all shared. Everything was delicious and a wonderful discover of new flavours.
The service is outstanding, highly professional and friendly.
Having had visited other Vietnamese restaurants, I wasn't a fan, however this place has changed my mind.
L. J.
We had such a great evening, food was amazing and the service and staff were A1! I would highly recommend this restaurant - I will certainly be visiting again very soon :)
S. T.
Phenomenal food and friendly service! Deserving of 5 stars! I cannot recommend this wonderful restaurant enough. We were a group of 8 ranging from age 3-57 so we tried a lot of dishes and each one was just as fresh as the last. The pork #43 is possibly my favourite and the sizzling chicken #94. For starters, the spring rolls were delicious #2 as is the pork meatball with rice paper that you roll yourself #7. You basically can't go wrong so go along and enjoy the experience!
J. T.
Amazing - such good food and friendly service. We had the caramelised tofu and vegetable curry. Would go back again in a heartbeat. Thank you Dhaena and the team.
A. T.
The food was good, even with a revised menu due to COVID. The service felt a little disjointed, but overall, a very pleasant meal.
G. N.
This is an excellent Thai restaurant where the service is as good as the dishes. The food is fresh, testy and inspiring despite being traditional. I recommend.
P. F.
Very good Vietnamese restaurant. King Street has quite a few very good restaurants.
Great selection of dishes, well prepared.
Prices are fair too and the staff is friendly.
Visited several times and I was never disappointed.
J. H.
Highly recommend. 10/10 food and service and this place has to be (one of) my favourite Hammersmith restaurant(s)... Well done Trinny and the team for your warm welcome and hospitality - see you again sooner than later!
V.
Staff are friendly and helpful with menu and how to eat certain foods. I asked for my food mild and it definitely was. I would recommend the crispy soft shell crab starter. For mains I ate the spicy caramelised sea bass in clay pot which was sweet but nice. Safety checks carried out upon entry with temperature checks, hand sanitiser and NHS covid app check ins. Menu is digital.
A. “.
This restaurant always serves authentic Vietnamese food. Flavours are always very good and their menu has big variety of food to choose from. This is one of our favourite Vietnamese restaurants in London.
M. T.
Great experience at Saigon Saigon, catered really well for a Coeliac! Food was superb. Great job guys.
N. B.
Good ambiance, good foods.
All staff are friendly, special mention to Darna who served us…
We all enjoyed the foods..
Good variety of vegetarian dishes…
Really enjoyed my birthday celebration❤️❤️❤️
T. W.
A very enjoyable 'set menu' lunch with close friends. Food was fresh and very tasty and staff were very attentive...we'll be returning v soon!!
K. T.
The best pho I’ve ever had - even better than many local stores in Vietnam. Can’t recommend less to everyone who wants to have an authentic Vietnamese food experience. The service quality is also great there.
H.
10/10!! If i could give more stars i would! This place is amazing! From the food to the customer service, the atmosphere was perfect.
Came to celebrate my Girlfriends birthday and they treated us like royalty! Best restaurant experience we have had in a LONG TIME. Will definitely be coming back.
Thank you Trinidad and staff for such a great evening. See u again soon :)
A. M.
Tasty food tender meat and beautiful service and great atmosphere. What else?
I can not recommended this restaurant enough. :)
C. W.
I went to this lovely restaurant for lunch. The lunch special is very reasonably priced. As the new norm of London fine dining restaurant a 12.5% of service charge is levied on the bill.
I loved the ambiance, the service and the taste of the food. But, have been to many Vietnamese restaurants in the US, I am accustomed to bigger portion of food at the similar price. I ordered the Pho with beef. The noodle in the soup bowl is roughly 200 grams in weight. There are about 8 thin slices of roasted beef in the rough size of 4 cms long, 3 cms wide and 1.5 mms thick. I guess the weight of the meat is around 15 grams or less. To put everything in perspective, the portion is what other restaurants would serve as Kids size.
Other than the portion, I am happy with everything else.
G. G.
Had never been here before Saturday night, but my parents had, and we were all treated like old family friends by everyone in the building.
Could not recommend this place more. Incredible food, sensational ambience, and first-class service. A true gem for the local area.
Go for one the Pho dishes, and everyone else on your table will be envious - trust me.
L. W.
BEST restaurant in Chiswick!! The food is incredible, especially the caramel pork clay pot dish. We’ve been 5+ times in the past few months and tried new things (all of which we love!) ALL of the staff are so lovely. Every time we’ve come they have welcomed us with such hospitality and kindness; they are all so sweet. 100/10 would recommend!!
A. C.
Pretty much always good food here although we do stick to our favourites. The service can sometimes be slow but otherwise really good Vietnamese option for the area. Photo is of vermicelli with prawns
J.
The food is super delicious ! I just had a noodle soup with vegetable which was delightful! Service is a bit slow as staff do not make eye contact to check if customers needs anything else . But apart from that is excellent
B. B.
This place is epic and if you're lucky enough to have Darna serving you, you're in for a treat :) The caramelised tofu is out of this world! 10/10 would definitely recommend and really lovely atmosphere in there too.
B. S.
My Partner and I love this place !! We recently moved into the area and this is already our favourite restaurant. The staff is extremely alert, nice and helpful and the food is wonderful as well. Naturally this was the first place where I took my parents when they came to visit us in London and they loved it too !!
We will be back soon !!
Benedikt and Rain ☺️

It was a really nice little cosy restaurant. I went there for the lunch special which is starter, main and a drink for £10.50. Lovely staff though a bit slow at times but really nice food too. Except I forgot to ask no coriander! Otherwise perfect!
A. C.
Fantastic atmosphere, one of the friendliest and warmest welcomes at any restaurant for a long time. The food was equally as good!
S. M. A.
One of the best restaurants I've been to in London. Absolutely amazing place to eat. The place is clean and the staff are super friendly. I highly recommend their Battered squid & French butter - 10/10. I am definitely going back.
J. P. (.
Walk-in on a damp Sunday, had a great meal.
Wonderful flavours, shared an unusual plate of deep fried tofu with salted egg. It is served with naturally sweet onions fried in butter, very rich. Will have it again to share.
F. S.
Nice place, good food, friendly service.
S. B.
Love the atmosphere of this restaurant. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The meals are very delicious as well.
J. H. L.
As a proud Torontonian I had plenty of great Vietnamese cuisine in my city. Yet, Saigon Saigon's pho definitely makes it to top 3 best.
Loved people working here.
Spring rolls was delicious too.
I'll try other dish, definitely coming back.
M. K.
Fabulous place with stunning design and exceptional customer service. Trini and her team really went extra mile to make our birthday celebration truly special. Delicious food, lovely atmosphere and amazing service - absolutely love it and will definitely come back!
R. T.
Can't fault it. Authentic Vietnamese food and wonderful service. Returning every time with joy and high expectations. Never let us down.
O. B.
Great food as always and was able to book a table last minute with no problem even though the restaurant was busy. I wanted a dish that's no longer on the menu and they were more than happy to make it. It's a local spot that makes you feel special and like a valued customer.
M. S.
Brilliant food and outstanding service! All staff were extremely attentive, professional and friendly. The food was so good that my partner and I returned to the restaurant just five days after our first visit. And it won’t be the last. Definitely recommend.
M. D.
The food was great ,service also ,definitely will go again
A. B.
Vietnamese hospitality and cooking at its best. Nothing was too much trouble for the Maitre d' including fleecy blankets for diners sitting outside and the service was brisk and friendly throughout even though the restaurant was full. Dishes were the perfect Vietnamese combination of flavour, freshness and fragrance. Highly recommended and certainly worth an Uber ride if you are not local.
T. K.
Had the traditional rice noodle soup aka Pho as takeaway and enjoyed it.
The beef was not chewy, the broth was hot , the noodles didn’t stick together in one bunch.
Will be trying more dishes from the kitchen.
Was too hungry to make photos this time.
G. W.
Delicious food full of flavour would highly recommend and would definitely go there again:)
A. P.
Amazing food - likely the best Vietnamese in London. Definitely worth travelling for! The service is equally as great, we feel welcome every single time. Must go!
M. P.
Been going to this restaurant for years not for just food but parties as well always great service and a cosy atmosphere to relax in. Highly recommended
m. b.
Me and my daughter Nicole ordered the Pho and the Spicy Beef Rice noodles and both were outstanding. Very good service and really polite staff. Will be coming back!
L. C.
Friendly staff.
Delicious food.
A little pricey though.
H. A.
Second visit excellent meal had prawn curry vegetables were rather large sauce was delicious, had to wait to long for rice.everyones food was great. But overall worth waiting for.
J. H.
Fantastic place for lunch or dinner. Friendly staff and food is very good
O. V.
Food was good!!! :) and very well priced as well. The prawn with sugar cane (appetiser) was amazing!!
D.
Finally got around to leaving a review, I got to say top quality service and hospitality from all the staff, especially the lady owner and the food was delicious.
E. B.
We had a lovely meal here! Not only was the food really fresh and tasty, but the service and hospitality we received was truly lovely. Thank you to all the staff - I'll be sure to return soon!
P. B.
I am a regular customer at Saigon Saigon most recently 30 Oct 21. The food is always excellent, service attentive and prompt and the restaurant has a good and lively atmosphere. Highly recommended.
N. P.
The best Vietnamese food outside of Vietnam !
Excellent service - especially Darma who has a beautiful smile and is always very welcoming.
C. C.
wonderful food, incredible service, highly recommended.
S. F.
I’ve literally had the loviest time in since I can remember, the salad and summer spring rolls were so unbelievably fresh. The owner was so friendly, attentive yet still professional. Literally cannot recommend enough x
S. A.
I'd prefer to give a 3 1/2 star if the option was available.
Good friendly service although you may have to wait as they are always busy and not to overly priced, decor is a bit dated and not much atmosphere.
The food was nice but not WOW.
I had the beef and the sauce that it came in was quite overpowering, the salad that came with it had a very sweet vinegar dressing which was just to much for my taste also the sugarcane prawns were a bit chewy.
Not the worst but definitely not the beat.
A. I.
Top-notch restaurant. Delicious food at very reasonable prices. Exceptional service delivered by all the staff. The lady that runs the place is very attentive and runs a highly efficient operation. Definitely going back.
K. D.
I loved our dinner at Saigon Saigon.
Food was delicious, service was good too. Loved how the hostess would give you tips on how to best eat each dish.
We went on the last “eat out to help out” night, so it was really busy and the food took some time to arrive. The wait was worth it and despite the crowd I think they did a great job with the quality delivered.
S. H.
I've had good experiences both dining inside the restaurant and when getting takeaways. Excellent, authentic Vietnamese cuisine at a reasonable price. The layout of the restaurant is spacious with a beautiful interior. Would recommend.
H. Z.
Very very good Vietnamese food! It’s my partner’s and my go-to after work. As we are both vegetarians we really enjoyed all their vegetarian dishes🥢❤️🔥
b. r.
Lovely food, great choices friendly staff.
J. O.
Great food and service! 6 of us came here on a Thursday evening, we were sat at a round table with a lazy susan, perfect for talking, (and eating).
It was quite busy and lively for a Thursday, so I’d advise booking, especially on a weekend. We had a selection of dishes to share so everybody got to taste and it didn’t disappoint. Prices were reasonable for this part of town. In short, if you’re in West London and you’re looking for a Vietnamese restaurant, look no further!
S. A. W.
This is my favourite viet in London, the food is excellent and the staff are so caring and welcoming especially lovely Darna.
Highly recommend.
S. H.
It's worth trying if your in the area. Great Pho, and nice atmosphere.
B. H.
Really fantastic food, all the staff are professional and lovely. Definitely worth a night out, most likely to spend around £40-£50.
N. C.
One of the beat restaurants in West London. The food is amazing and the service was perfect. Considering the current climate the restaurant had people queuing out the door. Trini the GM handled all the customers with polite control. The lady must have thick skin for all the chancers trying to jump the queue/arriving late or generally being rude to her.
l.
After a good Deliveroo experience a couple of years ago, we decided to visit the restaurant shortly before lockdown #2 began. Being a Tuesday evening, it was not that busy. They get full marks for Covid precautions, with temperature checks, sanitizer and single use menus in place. Our table surface was sticky though, even though it had been cleaned.
The two of us plus toddler tried the chilli squid, beef in betel leaves, sweet & sour chicken, beef casserole and morning glory, along with some egg fried rice. The food was very average though, and certainly didn’t live up to our previous experience. On the positive side, service was quite efficient, and the bill of £85 (including £25 spent on drinks) seemed very reasonable. But overall, a bit disappointing and I don’t think I would return.
J. C.
Great food and great service. There were plenty of great options on the menu, and the staff helped guide us through some of their favourites. All our food was great, the pork ribs deserve a special mention, they were amazing!
S. D. A.
Incredible food, amazing service. The calamari is the best! Super friendly and professional staff. Must-try if you're in Hammersmith ♥️
T. H.
One of the few local restaurants I like in my area.
As far as high street restaurants go, Saigon Saigon is doing a really great job.
Their menu is great, although quite large. There's been a few occasions where I've had a nasty surprise.
If you do pick a good dish from their menu, you won't be disappointed!
FYI, their spring rolls are to die for.
For atmosphere, I would recommend coming here for dinner.
When the gas lamps are lit, the place looks great!
Staff are very friendly and helpful as well. I don't have a single negative thing to say about the service.
C. L.
Excellent meal. We shared 5 dishes between us 5 and the pork ribs and chilli and lemongrass beef were the standouts. Great service from Trini, she made sure we ordered the right dishes!
m. m.
Absolutely beautiful place. Great food, attentive staff and authentic decor. Can't wait to go again.
L. P.
Fabulous. We used to go regularly when we lived closer as it was always great. Not been for a long while as we moved - but tonight took a drive over for old times sake. So glad we did!! It’s even better than it used to be, the food is even more authentic and utterly delicious, and we met the fabulous new General Manager, who was just a delight. She’s doing an incredible job and made us feel so welcome. Love this place!
S. G.
Best Pho in London, the broth is out of this world. The service was great and quick too, with super friendly staff. Cannot recommend it enough.
D. T.
One of the best restaurants in London.
Lovely atmosphere, extremely good attention to detail and outstanding food!
Places like Saigon Saigon are rare in London.
O. B.
I have been coming here since I was a child and the food has always been phenomenal. 3 years ago I went vegan and was worried that they wouldn't be able to cater as they serve the best traditional vietnamese food but the care taken by our host Trinidad to make sure that everything was vegan (and delicious) was exceptional! I have also been told that there is a menu update to come with even more veggie options. Conclusion: a must go for all foodies, vegan or not!
S. S. (.
The food here is most authentic, exceptionally tasty and never regretted. The lunch menu is a good initiation before going for a full dinner. The best viet in London I’ve ever had. And they deliver!! The baby cuttlefish they used to do was amazing -still slightly heartbroken it’s not on the menu anymore but am still working my way through the menu happily & am always satisfied. Have never had an issue with missing items or quantity/quality of food, a very high service standard they should be proud of!
S. S.
By far the best Vietnamese restaurant in west London - food is authentic and delicious, that staff are friendly and incredible attentive. I highly recommend it!!
J. V.
Great food and amazing service , highly recommended
H. G.
This restaurant i bumped into and it was amazing, the service is outstanding, the food quality is fantastic, i would definitely go there again and again
S. S.
This restaurant is amazing, came with wife and kids first time, and had to return only with the wife as we wanted to have a quite meal, I highly recommend this restaurant, we have been pampered by the general manager as she explained to us the different types of food, and all I can say is that I will be returning again. The staff are all nice and helpful. And try the saigon beer it's very nice.
N.
Fantastic food. We were amazed with all dishes as well as such a wonderful services from back to front of house. Special thanks to fabulous manager Trini who look after us throughout the meal! Thanks again for making our dinner to remember! Definitely coming back soon. We
J. D.
Ate here during Eat out to Help out and waited almost an hour for a table but was absolutely worth it. Authentic pho broth and noodles, tasty grilled lemongrass chicken and other starters. Will be back again when it's colder for a hot, soupy pho!
A. F.
It was my first time in this restaurant and everything was great.
The food was amazing, a good quality/quantity with a fair price.
The service is very professional, everything was really organized.
Also, I asked for a birthday wish for my friend and they brought us an amazing dessert for free.
So well done guys. Keep going!
M. H.
Excellent restaurant, great service, brilliant choice and super tasty food. It’s my and my husband’s favourite place in the area and would unreservedly recommend it!
P. H.
We had an incredible experience at Saigon Saigon last November. The decor was very welcoming and had an authentic Vietnamese feel. The food was exquisite, from the starters, main courses and desserts, everything was perfect. We had a great selection of food; there was someone to please everyone at the table. The staff was extremely professional and catered to our needs lovingly. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone, anytime.

Edit 2020:
Visited again, and once again some wonderful service from everyone here. The ribs and caramel pork are highlights for sure. Service was wonderful - make sure to visit
Amazing food with top-class service. We came in as a big group and were accommodated with no problems.
The food was extremely tasty - I had the chargrilled ribs with chilli and lemongrass - superb.
The staff, especially Trinny, were so helpful and couldn't do more for us. Well worth the visit, if you don't come here you're missing out.
N. K.
We've lived in the area for over 3 years and has never stopped in - glad we did! Really a neighborhood gem - service was fantastic, had the battered squid (very tender), “Beef on Fire” (sauce was delicious) and the chargrilled duck breast (simple and lovely) and everything was fresh and flavorful.
Definitely going to be a repeat visitor.

One of my favourite restaurants in this part of London. Food is delicious and fresh although some of the dishes that appear spicy aren't at all. Excellent value for money, with generous portion sizes on starters. Wine list is very good as far as Vietnamese restaurants go! Definitely book ahead. Avoid sitting under the air con - we ended up with stiff necks as it went from hot to cold frequently during our meal, but this didn't detract from another great meal!
P. L.
The food was really good. Had a nice selection of starters and mains. Only one type of beer but it was a palatable one.
I. W.
Exceptional food for a reasonable price and great customer service. Staff ensured that my family and I were enjoying the food and experience (the manager was lovely). There is also a wide variety of Vietnamese foods to choose from and delicious drinks. Highly recommend; will definitely come again!
A. T.
Excellent food, authentic Vietnamese cuisine and decor. Staff are friendly, attentive and calm, setting a pleasant ambience. Not expensive and we'll sized portions. Strongly recommended.
C. H.
I've been to Vietnam twice and while this by no means makes me an expert on Vietnamese food, I can at least guarantee the dish I had here (sauteed glass vermicelli in tofu and vegetables) tasted absolutely amazing. Such depth of flavour, generous portions and with beautiful interior design to boot. Would definitely recommend! Already can't wait for my next visit.
M. M.
Amazing food and great service!
V. P.
Amazing ambience, service, and most importantly the food. It is a spacious well designed restaurant which makes for a quiet dining experience. The service was prompt, attentive, and friendly. We got the hot pot with assorted meats - delicious. We added a great lotus root salad, and finished with dessert. The bill was just over 40 quids for two - we will be going back regularly.
T. K.
Amazing service and fantastic food!
T.
Fantastic experience, service is impeccable and food is 5/5. The young waiters & waitresses we're so attentive and always made sure we had water, we never had to wait for staff, they were available on call.
Definitely recommend
B. O. (.
Always the highest standard of food and service. Food is fantastic and the staff really look after you. On Valentines Day they gave my wife a rose. The best Asian restaurant we have been to in the UK by far.

The Best Pho in London I've ever tried, hands down. Forget about the chain restaurant up the road, this is the best. Great lunch special with tasty fresh starters such as crispy spring rolls and fresh summer rolls with a side salad. The Noodle dishes with grilled meats are also super tasty and very well priced. Definitely check it out.
J. O.
I have not been to Vietnam so I don't know how authentic the dishes are. However, what we ordered was pretty tasty. We had the grilled chicken with honey and 5 spice, grilled pork with lemongrass and chilli, fire beef and some vegetables. The pork balls with vermicelli and minced prawn on sugar cane were also very nice - they both come with fresh rice pancakes for you to do your own wrap. We didn't enjoy so much the crispy crepe with prawns and bean sprouts. The service was friendly and quick. I think we will go back to try their pho and vermicelli salad bowls and rice bowls.
S. R.
Very solid Vietnamese food; on the bland side of things but that's par for the course in the UK. Particularly reccomend the pork meatball fresh spring rolls. You wrap them yourself. The vermicelli bowls are also a good size
D. C.
Food was really good, we ordered a rice noodle bowl and glass noodles in a clay pot which was really filling. I would also recommend the spring rolls and salted egg tofu. All dishes were very nice! Great service!
M. A.
The food was good but not amazing. The starters were very good - spring rolls and crepes however the pho as a main wasnt upto my expectations. The soup was sweet, very lemon grassy and lacked flavour. Overall, some goods and some bads for a mid-priced eat.
m. B.
Very impressed with the welcome and the way the restaurant managed itself on Valentines day 2017.
Greeted warmly by many smiles and the food was great, my partner thoroughly enjoyed herself.
Starters came within good time and the main course was cooked to perfection. The room was well lit and the atmosphere really felt romantic with a respectful noise level from chatty loving couples.
Thankyou for the experience Saigon.
S. M.
The place itself was nice. My food was OK, nothing special as lots of large cut onions in my prawn dish. The waiters were friendly and attentive. A little more pricey than other places with better food which I go to but the area affects this due to higher rents I suppose, hence dearer food!!
J. V. M.
This was one of my favourite restaurants in West London. After a long break, I was really looking forward to visit this place again. The food was good but the service was rather disappointing. At £55 for a 2 course dinner for two, I'd expect more from the staff.
M. K.
The food is nice. We had the spicy fried rice and the stir-fried noodles. Both are yummy.
M. L. B.
Great meal, excellent service! There was such a nice ambiance as well. The restaurant was very busy by the way and without a doubt, that was because of the people running around the restaurant making sure we get the best experience. Thanks Trini for the good service. Will definitely recommend this and we will be back for sure!
D. L.
The Pho is exceptional good , highly recommended !
y. s. c.
Food is nice! But very pricy! Service is good!
L. C.
My first visit to this great place. Wow! The service was outstanding. The food was delicious and the ambiance AMAZING! Would recommend the soup & noodle dishes. This place has a wide selection of dishes to meet everyone’s taste. Date in the diary for my next visit! Can not wait :)
C. N.
A great Vietnamese that I have been to for about fifteen years, since my childhood. Over the years I have been to many other Vietnamese places in London but none has been as flavourful and delicious as Saigon Saigon. My personal favourites are the beef salad and the marinated rotied duck. The staff are really lovely too - Trinny made us laugh, and offered us some kitchen tips when we visited last.
J. E.
Brilliant starter 🤤 staff very friendly. Great atmosphere Trini is super star and easy on the eye. Would highly recommend the quale
A. K.
Very good food but make sure to reserve on weekend nights. Nothing particularly challenging on the menu but what is there is good quality and excellently cooked. Good place for parties/groups but ask to be seated upstairs for a better dining experience.
s. y.
Fresh and tasty food. Small portions.
E. G.
If the previous reviews about service were true, Saigon Saigon seem to have got the message! We had a wonderful meal there, and the staff were lovely and attentive, without being overbearing. We really recommend the chilli squid starter and the minced pork with shrimp paste main. Will definitely be coming here again.
A. S.
Great meal and sufficient service. Our first time here with group of friends last night. Not too crowded , everyone was happy throughout the meal. Good value of money and good wine too. Will be back
A. S.
We have been coming here when in town for some 5 years and it's never been anything but positive. Perhaps the most extensive Vietnamese menu I have ever seen, way more than a phone place. Service is always friendly too.
H. P. N.
One of my favourite vietnamese restaurants in London. Very authentic and has a great service as well. I also organised a private event in the basement a couple of years ago and it was a great success - my whole family was very happy with the food and the experience. Thank you so much Saigon Saigon. I would highly recommend!
R. S.
Authentic Vietnamese food. My family and I have been coming here for years, it never fails to deliver. Prawn Pho, beef salad.. Do yourself a favour and pay Saigon Saigon a visit!
Y. L.
So good! Thoroughly loved the food here. Had a great meal. I'd say they are one of the best Asian food I had in London! You can find some very authentic food and ingredients here (those you rarely find in a lot of other Asian restaurants!). Will come again for sure.
D. C.
Three times visiting this restaurant, and never disappoints! My favorite is the Beef Pho - maybe one of the best Pho I've ever tasted in London! Service is also consistently excellent, combined with a very authentic Vietnamese ambience. On top of all, the foods are reasonably priced. A must try!
T. B.
It was all OK but not as good as I hoped. Nice food but not 'amazing' as some of the reviews got my hopes up for. Its pretty much as you would expect for the money - not great but definitely not bad either. Could have been less sugar/salt and more delicately cooked - was bit heavy handed. It was my first vietnamese meal and I liked it enough that I will try again. My colleague thought it was good.
R. L.
Recently discovered this gem of a place. The food is delicious with generous portions with very efficient and friendly table service. Big menu with lots of tasty options and the restaurant has a very authentic Vietnamese vibe. Would definitely recommend and will be back soon!
M. S.
In short, amazing food, terrible service. (Sometimes.) Having visited the restaurant about 5 times and had a couple of takeouts, I have mixed feelings. The food is wonderful, but the service is variable. A couple of times, it's been so bad I've decided never to eat there again. But it's open slightly later than other restaurants in the area, so I often end up capitulating.
First the good. Grilled duck breast (not skewers, the one in a honey sauce I think) is absolutely amazing. Every dish is good, and although prices are not exactly rock-bottom I think it's good value for money.
Now the bad. I just ordered a delivery using a popular online delivery service. The restaurant accepted the order (this means they looked at it and agreed), which automatically takes payment. Then I received a phone call saying one of the dishes (a starter) wasn't available. FINE. No problem. Mistakes happen. But the lady told me to phone the call centre to ask them to resolve it. Then when I asked if she could replace the dish, she said it would have to be for a dish of exactly the same price of £6.95. Huh?
Having spent £45 on a takeout for 2 people, quibbling over a quid here or there given it was their error seems awful to me.
The lady suggested some dishes from the main menu - well, we already had 2 mains and a salad, why would I want another - I wanted a starter. She just said "you will have to call the call centre of the delivery company". I was really incensed by this!
Another time, they were rather rude to me in person so much that I had to turn up at the restaurant the next day and shout at them. (It was a very expensive meal for 6 people.) Then they were a bit nicer, but I should not have had to do such a thing!
S. B.
This restaurant served amazing food. I really enjoyed eating there, and am sure that I will be here more regularly in the future.
Amazing Vietnamese flavors, so fresh and so wonderful. I'd say exquisite.
V. R.
The food was good but the 2 out of 7 was that nice the hot and sour soup was not sour or hot and the chai Sui rice wasn't the nice either. The restrooms are bad and the food is a little pricey and the table was small so we can't fit much other just 2-3 plates or bowls of food and the buffet is only for the lunch hours and it open and closes at different time through out the day we brought 7 small bowls of food that costed £61.80 overall the food wasn't that bad but it wasn't great either
Y. s. F.
the restaurant is fabulous!! We show up without booking but the staff was sooo nice to help us out, we waited about 10min and got the table. We ordered the salad roll, fried rice noodles and pho, they are super yummy. Drini is amazing and super lovely.
s. k.
Great food and super friendly service.
E. Z.
Just superb. Even with reduced alá cart and wine menu you are in for a treat. With service to match.
R. B.
Food was fanatastic and took me back to my visit to Vietnam. I enjoy all the Vietnamese cafe places you find around London but this is a proper dining out experience, at great prices. Will definitely be coming back again! Thanks Trin for the warm welcome and the lovely service and meal from all your staff.
M. A.
Excellent dining experience. Food variety is great. Very good waiting staff attending to all our needs. Clean and very presentable. Highly recommend.
Z. P.
Came here for a birthday dinner and the staff were very helpful in accommodating our large group of 16 people. We were able to combine a few smaller tables so we could all sit together.
After we order, the food arrived quite quickly and everyone got their dishes within 5 minutes of each other which was very impressive.
I personally went for the special fried rice and 5 spices duck. The rice was good and contained a good mix of meat and prawns. The duck portion was also very generous.
Both dishes came under 20 pounds including service charge so yeah, give it a go if you are in the area.
J. S.
Amazing food, tasty, authentic and lovely accommodating staff especially Jade. Will be back again for sure.
P. A. b.
So my friends and I were craving for some Asian food and we found out about Saigon Saigon. The food is authentic Vietnamese. I would definitely go back again and try new dishes next time. Both service and food are exceptional!

2016: One of the best places to eat in hammersmith
update: 2020 been eating here for almost 5 years it's changed a lot since 2017, service is not as great as it used to be. they need to hire more staff. food is still nice. the new manager feels very assertive like she owns they place. but having a business as myself I can tell she's not the main owner. i word of advise if your boss is a shark. s/he won't be hesitant to quot "no need to come in tomorrow". stay humble and you'll be fine.
B. H.
I was taken here as a surprise for a birthday having said I'd like Vietnamese awhile ago. The interior is gorgeous and if the weather is nice the while front opens out onto the tidy West London pavement. The staff were very welcoming, especially the manager who made a point to make us feel special and stayed for a chat. But the food was the highlight. Every dish was full of flavour and perfectly put together and the helpings were very generous. A final touch was the waiting staff singing me happy birthday while handing over a delicious chocolate cake and ginger ice cream desert with a candle. Very unexpected and somewhat embarrassing but will definitely return!
C. L.
They have a very extensive menu, making it a pleasant challenge to pick something out. Both starters and mains tasted very good and portions were well sized. The flavour combinations came through beautifully and service felt very professional.
R.
Vietnamese eateries are almost always a safe bet. The flavors are fresh and spicy, the curries are rich, and who doesn't love tangy fish sauce? This one is a little better than most, with decor that's a bit posher too. Great salad rolls were served with hoisin rather than peanut sauce. The sea bass was tender and fresh-tasting. Even the un-sauced noodles they brought for the kids were so tasty that the grown-ups polished them off. The beef-lime salad was my favorite dish. The tangy, spicy (be warned!) dressed rare beef slices were like mouth fireworks and elicited wows all around.
If I lived in the neighborhood it would be on my go-to list.
N. S.
The atmosphere was amazing. We had a booth which was very intimate but not secluded, with was nice. Being a pescaterian, the options for both pescaterians and vegetarians were very wide. The food was AMAZING. But the desert, (chocolate cake) won me over. I've renamed it the internal hugger ..
L. “. S.
Food ok bit on the pricy side 2 adults and a kid £100+ for a shared starters ribs and 2 bowls of sup
P. J.
This was great place
Food was on point
Outside dining was the way to go
B. J.
a very different experience to all the other ethnic restaurants around. the food is very tasty and relevant i.e. the best spring polls in London. some of the dishes are unique to this restaurant.
J. C.
Great restaurant. Food was delicious. Service excellent, we came as a large group with no advance notice and we're accommodated with no problems. Would visit again
s. s.
We love the quality of the food, the absolutely beautiful hospitality and lovely decor - especially during summer when the doors are open. I introduced my team to Saigon Saigon and hope that they all go again! THANK YOU TO THE AMAZING SAIGON SAIGON xx
I. R.
Delicious food wonderful host in Trini and great staff. Thoroughly recommend. Ian and Sara
S. S.
Excellent Vietnamese food. True authentic taste in every dish we ordered. Fried squids, spring rolls, Soup Noodles, veg noodles every thing was tasty and sumptuous.
R. L.
Exceptional service matched with exquisite food. I cannot recommend this place more, it's food for the soul!
E. T.
My favourite Vietnamese restaurant in west London. Very authentic flavours. Good attentive service. Best Beef Pho, the broth is so tasty that I finish it every time. Recommended dishes - papaya salad, bahn cuon, beef pho, bbq pork vermicelli
C. A.
Recommended by a friend - what a nice surprise. Been couple of times. Not bad at all and authentic vietnamese food (mostly)
when busy the service can get a bit frustrating - they seem getting staffing always wrong
D. W.
Food was amazing, I recommend the sizzling chicken dish. Staff were so friendly aswell. Best restaurant I've been to in Hammersmith
J. S.
I was skeptical going in here but this is some damn good Vietnamese food. I got the curry with tofu, aubergine, sweet potato and okra and it was spot-on: pungent, spicy (and this was supposed to be nonspicy haha) and filling. My husband similarly praised his dish and my friend hers and her pandan dessert.
T. P. (.
Fantastic food, service and value
R. A.
This place serves the best vietnamese food I ever experienced
M. B.
Saigon Saigon is a great Vietnamese restaurant. I went here in August 2018. Staff is friendly and helpful. Food is superb. Make sure to try Egg fried rice. Will certainly visit again when near Chiswick.
M. P.
Had a beautiful authentic meal. The waiter helped us choose and commended us on a very authentic choice and even showed us the best way to eat it to savour the flavours.
excellent meal, warm hosts.
M. L.
I stayed in a hotel near here in December 2014 and ate at this restaurant a few times. The Vietnamese food here is terrific, actually better than most of the pho restaurants in my hometown of Seattle (which has a large Vietnamese population) and even better than much of the food I had when I was in Vietnam on vacation. I ate the pho and the vermicelli noodle bowl, which were both great. I also had some of my friend's mochi ice cream dessert which was nice. I actually ate here 3 or 4 times during my week-long stay, including New Year's Eve night which was popular. The prices were reasonable and the service was great. I hope to return to London eventually and if I do, I'll be stopping here for dinner again.
J.
Amazing food and service, thanks!
k. t.
the food is amazing. 5* quality and service. the best restaurant i have been to for a while.. The only negative would be the portion sizes are a little small - otherwise would have been 5*
G. B.
Warming restaurant. Really well looked after. The food was delicious, but we ordered so much. Service was on top for me and my friends.
J. S.
Amazing Pho and the Ban Mai starter is great, like luxury prawn toast. The service was brilliant, there was a 12.5 % service charge but we were very happy to pay it after a great evening.
C. T.
Great quality Vietnamese dishes. The banh starters were delicious, and the noodles were also very tasty. Nice, cosy if dark decor. Recommended!
j. e.
Good food, service, anmostphere combined with reasonable prices, cleanness and a friendly stuff (specially the hostess Trinidad). I’m a regular and I highly recommend it as my favourite Vietnamese restaurant in London.
T. T.
Been coming here regularly for couple years now and it never disappoints. Foods always great and the guys in there really do care. Reservation or not they always do their best to accommodate. Deserts on the other hand is nothing to write home about.
H. M.
Had the most fantastic meal here with my boyfriend. Trinidad was so welcoming and provided excellent recommendations for our meal. The food was excellent and the customer service was amazing!
J. R.
The food will never let you down here. They are 100% right. My favourites are the Char-grilled prawn meat wrapped around sugar cane, served with rice paper and herbs, as a starter and really unique dish, the stir-fried diced scottish ribeye steak with sake, served with salad and wine vinegar. I bet you've never had steak like that before.
M. S.
Lovely meal. Would highly recommend the crab claw starters. Good portion sizes and huge menu to choose from. The staff were attentive despite it also being busy.
E. C.
I liked everything here - from the welcoming and honest staff to rich food! Atmosphere of this restaurant keeps you alive... prices are good enough considering quality and portions.. recommend!
L. L.
Food is good overall but most are too salty.
R. K.
Amazing food and the service is second to none - the beef pho has the best broth ever!
W. B.
We’ve always had a great experience and have enjoyed eating our way through the menu. The hostess is always welcome and is very friendly
C. N.
Everything is so fresh and ambiance is great. I and fiends come here for special lunch on weekdays as we work nearby, dinner is also great but it is normally much busier, proving a popular place in Chiswick and Hammersmith areas. We love the crispy hot sprng rolls, Pho, spicy beef soup and chicken curry.Overall, service ia good with nice and friendly staff, food is excellent., yet compared with those at the other end in central Chiswick we find the price very reasonable, good portion and good for value too. Can't wait to come back ....soon.
A. C.
Trini & her team at Saigon Saigon catered a party of 60 people - they did a fantastic job and I was so pleased with the food, service and experience of the catering team with our guests. Would definitely recommend the restaurant for catering!
J. B.
Epic food. Wonderful welcoming host.
Recommended dishes - the noodle soup and the soft shell crab starter.
C.
Very good quality of realy Vietnamese food, even some grass chainged to coriander as its typical in Vietnamese cousine abroad,
interesting sweets , quite close to European variants)))
Good service!!!
We were in the beginning of the week but it was crowded, busy & loudly!(
Very good place for visit!!!
M. L.
I am not an expert on Vietnamese food but I had some good food for dinner (spring rolls and a prawn curry). Staff was very kind and friendly. Good quality/price ratio.
R. N.
I've been in this place 5 time and every time it's a guarantee! Food is amazing, litteraly the best vietnamese food in London. Staff really professional. A must go.
M. S.
Excellent food, at decent prices.
My only minor complaint was that because we were in a small secluded corner, the staff couldn’t see us when we wanted something
A. V.
I just love everything about Saigon Saigon! The warmth of the people, the ambiance and the food! If you want to have a wonderful gastronomic experience you must try this place. Definitely a highly recommended place to dine ❤️
A. T.
Has to be one of my favourite restaurants. If you you want a good Vietnamese then this is the place. So recommend booking as can be busy especially Friday and Saturday.
C. R.
Great food - great service! Been going for years, and never disappoints. Pho broth is flavourful and deep, and the curries are super tangy...
i. k.
Had some selections of food really liked the chargrilled marinated chicken and the spring rolls, wasn't too keen on the other ones but those two were really nice!
M. J. K.
The best Vietnamese food in London! Nice staff, great atmosphere, & fabulous food! We dined here several times and they never disappointed us.
E. Y.
Seamless customer service. You feel really welcomed and the food is 120% on the spot. It was my first visit and everything I tried was delish!! Will definitely come back
n.
Delicious as always. Probably been 100 times. Consistently outperforms. A Chiswick institution.
D. C.
Absolutely amazing. I don't often praise places but WOW. I even went back there a second time to if it was a fluke and it was even better. The owner was so helpful as a party member was celiac, yet this caused no problem, like it normally does in other places.
I will be going again and again.
C. M.
The taking of Saigon
Accommodated a group of 14 people at short notice.
Food was excellent. Pleasant atmosphere and friendly staff.
Highly recommended
K. G.
Only got a few take aways during the lockdown and it's Super tasty! The food tastes authentic and not unhealthy
C. H.
Great food and better hospitality. Highly recommend
S. H.
If this place did delivery it would be my favourite takeaway in London. The Pho is amazing. I drop in on my way back into London after every surf trip. Order when you hit the GSK building on the M4 and you'll be laughing
J. C.
Highly recommended authentic Vietnamese food and excellent food service!
Thanks for the great service, Trini! We’ll be back soon and bring our friends :)
S. D.
I'm Vietnamese and came here to order a traditional Vietnamese meal. The Bo La Lot was fantastic with the sale and vermicelli. The dipping sauce for this dish is a twist on the normal nouc mum but very punchy, spicy, great flavour. For main we had rice with Canh Chua and Thit Kho Tieu which were both excellent. I love the contrast between salty caramelised pork and sweet & sour soup broth. I also love to add the caramel sauce to my rice. Very pleased with my meal so this place comes recommended. Probably the most fancy Vietnamese joint I've been to.
E. G.
Excellent Vietnamese restaurant, one of the best I have eaten at. You have to try their soft shell crab or the steam boats, both are amazing.
T. W.
Wonderful food, particularly the bowl rice noodle which isvery authentic. Lovely staff and services as well. This is become a popular haunt for me.
K. G.
The best Vietnamese food in West London! Also the only Vietnamese food in West London, but don't let that put you off! Nice people and great food, especially the Pho and Warm Beef Salad.
M. H.
Quite simply the best Vietnamese in London. Recommend the egg rice, tender beef dishes and steamed fish. It will blow your mind....
B. G.
Fabulous. Delicious food, the staff are brilliant and it’s a proper old-school place with ceiling fans. Have the beef salad. Win!
C. P.
We've been a number of times. The food is delicious and unusual. Patronized by lots of Vietnamese people, always a good sign.
P. C.
My family and I are visiting London and come across to this restaurant. Food and service is Amazingly beautiful.
I wish I could find this kind of food in the US.
L. L.
The food is Amazing!! The Prawns and Chicken Spring rolls is a Must...the taste, the smell and the crunch is mouth watering...
J. T.
Love this place. I love the food & I love the staff. Always welcoming. But very popular so make sure you book.

B. H.
Excellent food. Great service. Very clean. One of my favourite Vietnamese restaurants in London.
T. D. C.
The soft shell crab is out of this world she don't tell everyone they'll be none left for me!
V.
Ideal place for gathering with friends. Love the ambience and the staff was very friendly. Excellent Vietnamese food, enjoyed it.
L. D. S.
Excellent quality food, excellent service and a nice atmosphere. A bit pricy though so if it's only the food you're after go to the restaurants on the 'Vietnamese area' of the A10.
K. D.
The food was very good! I totally recommend if you’re into Asian/Vietnamese Food. I totally recommend the pork!
G. G.
I had a magnificent experience: good food, elegant environment, reasonable price and fast service. Will definitely go again

Very lovely food and staff
M. F.
The food is incredible, the decor is beautiful and the people are so lovely! Perfect place for a nice evening with friends or family.
E. Y.
If you like the numbers, or rather you like to be seen as numbers, this is the place. Small, uncomfortable chairs, staff who see you as numbers (1, person, ordered item 17, paid 17 pounds) what an experience :(
R. S.
Very good Vietnamese food. I recommend it! We were a large group and the service was very good.
D. W.
One of the best Vietnamese restaurant I have ever found. Super delicious food and very nice staff.
F. A.
It was surprisingly good! Pleasant ambiance and well presented diners. We will not need to travel to east London anymore.
o. e.
Yes I popped along here as there seems quite a dearth of vietnamese food in west london and was very pleased - not cheap though - Im more used to Ho Chi prices and street food - however the Pho and Warm Beef Salad was good and the spicing I reckon not to far off. Some of the dishes seem a little suited to a western palate but none the less very agreeable - I shall be back!
m. l.
friendly staff, nice food. the papaya salad with prawns is amazing. Pho is also nice!
R. L.
Good Vietnamese restaurant with all the old favourites. Not cheap but never disappoints. Would recommend.
S. F.
Wonderful food and service. Hostess made us feel very welcome.

A good meal. A first class manageress who cares. Book. Fast service and plenty of variety.
M. B.
Nice food but service can be frosty / rude. Wine prices are extortionate
R. W.
Food and atmosphere were excellent, especially for the price. Service was a bit scatterbrained but not bad at all. Would definitely go back.
S. F.
Had a brilliant time

My recent visit was the same as last time, 2 years ago. Nice place, delicious food and great service.
