Reviews of Santa Maria Pizzeria

Had a great experience here for a birthday. Starters, pizza and icecream were all really excellent and tasted delicious! The service was very nice and it all came on time. Would recommend booking or coming in early as it does get busy. Overall wonderful experience!
R.
As good as it gets for an Napolotion pizza.
Beautiful bread and not burnt at the bottom, well topped and overall delicious! Service good as well.
S. S.
Nothing less than excellent.. fresh ingredients and super friendly staff. Service was fast and the food tasted AMAZING. Visited on a Saturday evening, we booked a table for 8pm and wasn’t seated until 8:30pm cos they were so busy. Definitely would recommend this to a friend and will be back again. Authentic, great tasting, wonderful service what is there not to like?

Amazing pizza as Always!
I have had a San Rocco and two Aperol spritz.
Very authentic burrata and proper italian Pizza.
My new favourite pizzeria in London!
M. P.
Very nice place with friendly and professional staff, thanks to them I felt like I was back home. I loved the pizza and, as a Neapolitan, I can say that they serve true Neapolitan pizza. A bonus is how nice the place looks.
C. T.
Extremely fresh, DELICIOUS pizza straight from their oven makes us excited to be here every time. Staffs are always very friendly and their services are prompt. My son is a big fan of Caterina pizza! Compliment to their amazing cheffs, Christian, Emilio and Luca! Their selections of vegan gelato are yummy, too!
C. N.
Amazing for an authentic Italian pizza! Can't go wrong here. Used to be adjacent to the Red Lion on St. Mary's Road but is now across from Santander on Bond Street.
G. C.
Been there for the first time and loved it. The staff was very polite and prompt. Food was delicious and really brought me back to authentic italian flavours. Definitely will be back.
M. P.
I say this As a chef. It’s simply the best pizza I have had in the Uk. Staff are classic Italian. You can’t not love them. Service relaxed but attentive. Value for money. Don’t take away or deliver. Sit in.. it’s all in the timing. Eat the food at its finest,
A. R.
Pizza is really good, staff are friendly and the space is really well taken care off .
k. a.
Brilliant service. Food was delicious. Authentic Italian food. It's a shame they don't do fish dishes ! Still 5 stars !
A. R.
Santa Maria pizzeria is by far my favourite Italian place in London. I’ve been going for years and the taste has always been impeccable. I’ve lived in Italy and this pizza transports me back every time.
It’s a great spot for quality time with friends, a good date night or I even grab myself a takeaway ALL THE TIME. My most recent experience in the Bond St branch was such a delight, Leandra was very welcoming as was the rest of the team.
I tell everyone in the world to go to this place.
J. S.
Unbelievable, authentic pizza. Nothing else compares after this! 😋
M. M.
This used to be our favourite pizzeria but the dough was raw this time and they stopped taking cash payments.
I think that’s simply wrong and discriminating towards people who don’t have bank accounts. There are 1.7 billion people without access to bank accounts worldwide and 1.3 million unbanked in the uk.
Hello again, I just wanted to make clear that I have been going to your restaurant in the last 4 years but not that often and paid by card each time and the last time I was there was 2 weeks ago/at your new location.
R. H.
I love the pizza. They're much better than others restaurants.
J. N.
The best pizza in West London, definitely the best pizza in Ealing. The tomato sauce is so good and the crust/dough itself is amazing. So yummy
R. R.
My first visit was a revelation! Who knew pizza could taste this good and I have enjoyed a pizza and salad on many occasions since.
The latest was just last week when I took my sibling (visiting from US) over for a meal and she was annoyed that she only had 2 days to go otherwise she would have visited a few times during her stay! Not.surpised.
Santa Maria never disappoint.
M.
One of the best pizza in London!
Staff is very patient and friendly, give us good recommendations of pizza. Its nice to be able to look at the chief cooks pizza in front of us. The dough is amazing, chewy but soft with flour fragrance. Unfortunately pizza gets cold quickly, obviously it tastes better when it’s warm. Will definitely come back here again!
C. D.
Incredible authentic hidden gem. Can't wait to visit again for more outstanding pizza.
C. L.
Pizzas were great as well as the baked mozzarella starter. It is well priced and our waitress was really lovely. The place itself slighlty lacked atmosphere but I think they also supply the pub next door - which I think i would prefer. Loss of 1 star was due to the way in which the manageress on duty handled herself. Lacked general warmth towards customers and also overheard her having a go at our waitress. Something you don't want to listen to when you are having a nice time out.
L. D.
Very Nice pizza, staff super friendly and the girl who took our order, Sara, was very nice in suggesting us some amazing dish. Super Recommended!
D. V.
Pizza are very tasty, made with fresh ingredients. It is not as good as the authentic food you'll have in Italy, but it is very good for London. You should try the pizza with truffle. On top of that, the staff is friendly and welcoming.
C.
Up there as one of the top places for pizza in Ealing! Proper neopolitan pizzas made with delicious fresh ingredients, sold at a very reasonable price. The staff are welcoming and very friendly, particularly the waitresses. I am looking forward to visiting the new vegan branch very soon. :)
A. B. S.
It’s a great experience. The restaurant is very cozy and the location is terrific. The food, service and presentation are amazing! The staff are extremely professional, but also very friendly and make great recommendations. I would like to come back here again.
T. D.
I have not had @santamariapizza since pizza fight night 2018, first time I have actually been to one of the actual restaurants(Ealing). Let me start with COVID 19 procedures, hand sanitiser station placed and scanning of NHS track/trace. Good social distancing practices with in.
The staff are amazing and super friendly and accommodate us with our puppy. The pizza was just amazing and did not disappoint. The dough is a dream and the toppings taste like quality and fresh. I highly recommend NOT leave the place without trying the Tiramisu! Mamma mia!!
@santamariapizza 👍 from me and a question are all the location DOG Friendly ??
J. D.
Every time we feel like take out we inevitably get Santa Maria, it’s just the best. They don’t overreach, sticking to creative and high quality pizzas which are always fantastic! Staff are always pleasant and efficient. Love this place
A. P.
Hand's down in the top 3 pizza I had in the UK. Very nice woodfired pizza, fresh burrata and friendly staff.
EDIT: had to remove one star, because I had the Tiramisu in the new room on Bond Street and it comes in a paper cup. It tastes good, but it's wasteful and cheapens the experience, sadly.
S. N.
Best Italian pizza in London! You can find here an authentic Neapolitan pizza with fresh ingredients and they have one the freshest burrata you could find in London. I also highly recommend their polpette and you must give a try to the desserts too. Last but non least the staff is nice and kind and the manager Enzo is very friendly.
H. D. S.
Delicious pizza's and salad. Friendly staff and the place looks cosy and clean. A bit to busy and not enough space. Not sure about the ventilation and I haven used the toilet so I can't give feedback on that.
C. S.
Best Napolitan pizza in Ealing! Would definitely recommend!!
M. S.
Best Pizza ever in London. 5/5 recommended.
Nice staff as well, very kind and friendly.
L. F.
I absolutely loved the place. I used to go to the last one, so I already knew that the quality was amazing and my thoughts were correct. Absolutely amazing food and loveliest of staff always happy to help with great service. Definitely will be going back!
G. S.
Amazing experience, top quality ingredients and a truly neopolitan pizza.
Staff is amazing and friendly, the manager, Sara, has been really kind and professional
J. B.
A small quaint restaurant that shares its kitchen with the pub next door and that's where we ate. Food was unlike your usual pizzeria. Can taste the freshness and quality of ingredients. Personally I'm more of a thin crust fan but did enjoy the softer pizza bases served here. Definitely get the extra tomato sauce on the side as some pizzas don't come with sauce and you will certainly enjoy the delicious sauce to dip your crust in. I didn't enjoy the nduja meatballs too much-bit too firm for my liking and I didn't taste much spices (apart from star anise), which considering its nduja meat, should've been filled with flavour; again the tomato sauce saved the day.
E. D. V.
Exceptional pizza, by far the best I've ever had in the UK! The meatballs come highly recommended as well. Great setup with the pub next door where you can sit in the garden and order both your pizza and drinks at the same time. Fantastic experience, can't wait to go back again!
J. V.
A small place but a good one nonetheless. Service is quick and the pizzas are great to say the least. Authentic flavors and they definitely do better pizzas than Franco Manca which is another popular pizza place on the uxbridge road.
C. L.
This has been my regular go-to pizza place for years! AND Their vegan menu is to die for. Not only just the plain sauce and garlic base but also their vegan margherita with their vegan cheese is lush! Confident to say it’s my favourite vegan pizza in London.
(Photos are vegan margherita and vegan SAN Fillipo)
S. P.
The most amazing pizzas ever! I cannot wait for them to reopen. Been still getting a takeaway from here. I have been visiting them for years and they literally make me so happy every time. Delicious pizza sauce, the best pizzas and the sides are yum too. A little secret is I love the truffle oil so I get it on the margherita and the fries! Delicious!!!!!! Literally is the best stonebaked pizza place ever!
F. S.
Best Ealing pizza with the best service there is.
Went with friends and was delighted by the staff, Sara especially was friendly and professional. We had 2 San Rocco and 2 San Gennaro with some bruschetta to start. Everything was perfect and i will be coming back for sure
I. M.
Delightful place with proper pizzas. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. We had to wait in a live queue but grabbed a drink in a pub nearby.
M. V. S.
We have been there today and had a Calzone, a San Giuseppe pizza and a burrata with cherry tomatoes and bread for our 4yrs old. Excellent pizza, enhanced by the home made chilly oil. Staff very helpful and keen to meet young ones needs. Too entraced while eating to even think about pictures. Will try to remember next time, if I can!
M. R.
i'm from Naples in this Pizzeria they made the real Neapolitan Pizza for sure i come back
N. S.
Small cosy place with good pizza.tables are really close to eachother which could be slight issue if you come with group and someone in middle wants to go to restroom or to get fresh air. Staff attentive but not intrusive. When comes to food It wasn't maybe best Italian pizza I had however dough was perfect. Amount of ingredients on some of pizzas seemed to be small to compare to others we ordered.Drinks menu could be a bit more extensive in terms of soft drinks however in overall very good experience.
F. C.
Absolutely delicious! Highly recommended this place !
Authentic Italian oven baked pizzas all freshly made in front of your eyes.
Excellent service, very friendly staff!
M. C.
I have been to eat a pizza at Santa Maria, really good, the best pizza of all ealing and Sara who is the one who served me at the table was really good and very friendly
e. d.
I love this restaurant and also i love the pizza and the service too!!! If you want to try a nice pizza have a try here cause is amazing! Soooo gnammy!!!
Y. H.
I live in North London but worth going all the way to Ealing to have pizza there with my kids. I've been a biggest fan of their pizza for almost 9 years and they are always the best. San Mattia ( with truffle oil) is just divine..
The staff Jess and manager Enzo are so friendly, attentive and welcoming. Highly recommend to everyone.
g. b.
Not a bad place to have pizza considered we're not in Naples. The pizza was overall good, although I didn't appreciate the quality of the dough which resulted to be too gummy (especially the crust). Last but not least, despite the appearance of the oven, it is not a real wood one (I suppose it's a gas oven).
J. I.
What a truly magnificent place. Wonderfully warm, truly authentic and run with a love only a family owned place can have. The pizza is easily one of the best in London and super fresh. You must get the gelato (pistachio and chocolate are highly recommended) and the burrata starter as well. Loved it and will be coming again for sure !!!
M. L.
I’ve got pizzas here a few times to take away as well as some meals like meatballs and spaghetti. It was very tasty but the problem was both times I got the food it was luke warm at best. I wish it had been hot cus it definitely tasted good. Will probably try it again. If it was hot I might have given 5 stars
C. D.
Great Italian restaurant at a very decent price. We opted for pizzas and they were really good. The service was equally great as the personnel was helpful and really polite.
C. M.
Poor service on entrance! Came for a meal after making a reservation and the made us wait for over 40 minutes. Confronted the manager and he said he mixed up the booking but totally unapologetic. Got a table 10 minutes after
The food however more than made up for the wait. The manager was kind enough to offer drinks on the house. Will be back but hopefully won't have to wait as long.
D. T.
Pizza with a more authentic feel to it, the ciabatta garlic bread was delicious and the choices of truffle dips were also great
A. Z.
Just moved into area and came to try the best Napoli Pizza. Quite disappointed as I cut open Calzone Pizza and it was cold mozzarella inside mixed with ham and salami, not as tasty as I imagined. I assume mozzarella should be melted a bit inside not just stay raw. Not sure 🤔 how authentic it was…
M. M.
Went here with my girlfriend for the first time, and I have to say, it is one of the best pizzas we had in the UK.
The staff are very efficient, Sara was very friendly and helpful with the menu!
We looking forward to our next visit!
V. K.
One of the best pizzas in London. Gets busy in evenings, great atmosphere. Good wine, Italian ingredients, friendly staff. You see how your pizza is made, pizza oven in the front part of the restaurant, windowless room at the back does the job when the place is busy.
K. O.
This pizza is the closest to the one we had in Napoli! In the scale of 1-10 I give this a 9! Our table had a 10 mins delay when we arrived so we had to wait outside BUT we got free drinks for the wait time!! And the stuff was just constantly making sure we are ok with it! Apart from pizza we ordered the nduja poulpette and they were dreamy ! Total cost for 2 pizzas, a starter to share and a beer was about £30 so great value for the best Italian in London!
D. S.
Been here back in time and pizza was awesome... Now is just ok! Already few months ago it was not anymore special. It was a Saturday and busy so, as in Naples, pizza was not perfect: to high temperature of the oven gives a burnt not well cooked pizza. This time we choose a less busy time and pizza was yes better cooked but lacking the typical consistency as if the daugh wasn't right. Service was slow and the tables not really clean. Pizza price went up though which is difficult to explain in Ealing
K. G.
Best Napolitano pizza in London. Burrata cheese is great, parmigiana was full of flavours. Food was so good that I forgot to take photos 😃
A.
I was very excited to try Santa María Pizzeria after hearing amazing things from friends. Unfortnately my calzone was burnt, and the ham on the pizza gave off a lot of water making the dough wet. My advice, there are better places for lunch in Ealing.
B. M.
Stunning Pizza! The best I've had in my life. Fresh, tasty and vegan options that taste better than the real thing! Truly magical
t. e.
The BEST pizzeria in London!!!
Thank you for
Chefs: Cristian, Emilio and Luke,
Staff: Jess and Aoi
Manager: Enzo
Service, Speed, Taste and everything are absolutely fantastico!!!!
You guys are the best!!!
Mamma Mia!!!!
I. M.
Recently moved. Pizzas are as good as ever.
H. S.
Gorgeous pizza, great price cooked to perfection! I went for the non sauce option and it was good! Will be coming back when visiting the area
J. M.
First time we'd tried their new location...same great authentic Neapolitan pizza...lovely exclusive blood orange IPA. Great value
M. K.
5 stars as always. Popped in on a Saturday night and they squeezed us in last minute with no booking.
Nothing but ❤️ for Santa Maria.
Marco T was amazing! 🙌
J. M.
Small place. In winter you don't want to be in the table close to the door. Good staff and very reasonable prices. Very surprised by the quality of the vegan pizza and the options they have. At least 5 or 6 vegan choices which is really good proportion. Couple of vegan desserts as well. Really good experience overall. I will come back
i. r.
Best neapolitan pizza in London, even in Italy i did not ate better pizza. Super good, been there +15 times. Average price per pizza is £10 and I recommend santa caterina.
O. R.
Visited this restaurant with my wife for a late lunch. We were the only ones at the time and I thought, can't be that good then! But, then the waiter came out to take our order, we were outside. Told us all the different varieties of pizza. They were perfect, tasty and perfectly cooked. Great service, great food. Will go again as it is listed st one of the top 15 pizza restaurants to go to. The best reference I can give is to see Itallions eating in there too. Fabulous.
R. R.
Very beautiful pizza and delicious.
Thanks chef Andrea and Emilio!
Staff Is friendly and very helpfull with the menu.
Grazie❤️
L.
Nice place with nice outdoor seating(with red lion pub) and If it's not the best, definitely is one of the best pizzas in London. They do have a second restaurant in fitzrovia and is exactly the same food quality as in this on. Napoli style pizza with a lot of option even vegan
S. K.
Always friendly. Great variety of pizzas available. Vegan options. Very popular for delivery options.
A. P.
I'm Italian and it was one of the BEST calzones ever!! The dough was perfect and the ingredients were brilliantly placed (sauce and mozzarella on top, ricotta and bacon inside) 10/10 will come back for sure
B. C.
I love this pizzeria and Santa Maria is one of my favourite restaurants in this location and the other one in Fulham. It never disappointed me in tens of times but unfortunately this time the service was too slow and annoying. We ordered two "Panuozzo" and it took more than one hour to be served. We chased the waitress several times and we have been replied that the kitchen was busy as the pub (which is owned by the pizzeria) was ordering pizza as well. I understand that one day might be particularly busy but there were several empty tables here and there. If you allow two areas to be served by the same kitchen you cannot justify such a slow service saying that you are not capable to serve both sides of YOUR restaurant. This is YOUR restaurant and the number of seats is YOUR choice. Otherwise, the best solution is to reduce the seats and/or allow only one area to order food. By the way, a negative experience is not enough and I still love their pizza and come back here unless the slow service becomes the normal routine.
J. M.
Really good authentic tasting pizza, great atmosphere. Can get busy in the evenings, so plan ahead! Enjoy 😁
H.
Ordered the Santa Margherita on deliveroo, it was really nice, up there with the top 10 pizzas I've ever eaten.
T. S.
The food here is amazing. Probably one of the best authentic Italian pizza places in London. Very laid back atmosphere with a young crowd. Seating options are available indoor and outdoor in a garden area (on benches).
Definitely recommend the rocket and parmesan salad.
A.
Best pizzeria in London hands down. The crust def has a chewy but crisp texture. LOVE this place.
M. H.
Best pizza in London! Quick, easy, really fresh and reasonably priced
E. D.
well, I’ll write down just a thing that’ll help you to see the greatness of this place: when I get back in Italy for holidays, I just miss the Santa Maria’s pizza so much. Burning but true.
The closest pub gives you the chance to order the pizza seating in their tables or in its own inner garden. This combo makes your evening a complete taste hedonistic experience.
Very good and fast service also, the girls whom serve you are kind and careful.
S. S.
Have been coming here for over a year! Great pizzas as always and amazing service! Best pizzas we have ever had!!
T. T.
Santa Maria hands-down serves up simply the best Pizza in London and I like to say I'm not saying that just because I'm a local who drives and often walks past their restaurant, including having gotten to know the family-ran owners for over a decade.
Their pizzas are just authentic, delicious, nicely-cooked with their wood-style texture and onen of my closest Italian friends often also agrees it's at the top of his list in the UK too!
B. W.
Delicious authentic neapolitan pizzeria. I've been there so many times I've lost count.. In my opinion the best pizzeria in London! My favourite pizza: the San Rocco with Burrata, can't get enough of it!
T. T.
This place is always busy and there is a very good reason why. The pizzas are very tasty, really love eating here. Staff are great too.
D. B.
Simply the best pizza ever to have passed my lips. We don't live anywhere near Santa Maria but make our pilgrimage over there as nothing near us could ever compare. The ingredients are amazing, the base is light and chewy and the tomato sauce is rich and tangy and the cheese is of the highest quality. Don't even get me started on the chilli oil or the truffles! This place will never disappoint. In fact we are going to drive over there now to have a takeaway in the car! This is a gem in every sense!
M. B.
We'd visited the St Mary's Rd branch before and loved it, so we decided to give this one a try on the basis that they are now doing an extensive vegan menu as well.
We started with the wild broccoli and a rustic bread and it was absolutely delicious, worth the visit for that alone!
The pizza itself was really nice, although, I made the mistake of too many toppings, all of which were lovely, but which made it a bit soggy. I remembered that last time I had had the plain margherita with only two simple components, the crust and the tomato sauce which were perfect together without all sorts of add-ons 'Less is more' as they say in jazz (if only more people would heed that bit of advice)
The vegan pudding was unusual and I must admit, didn't do it for me, the coconut and chocolate flavours were nice, but the textures didn't really work. I appreciated the effort to cater for us vegans though!
On the way out, we were offered a free mini drink, a shot of lemon and some sort of spirit, I didn't have one, but my friend Deirdre did and said it was a perfect after dinner digestif.
I have to congratulate Santa Maria on their staffing, they have recruited a wonderful team of young people which lent a fresh, fun energy to the place. They couldn't do enough for us and nothing was ever a problem (picky vegan here lol) our own server, whose name is Aoi, was charming and helpful and something more, she went that extra bit to connect with us and be a warm human, chatting about the food and telling us her own preferences, she wasn't just a polite serving robot doing a job, she seemed to actually enjoy being there and as a result, so did we.
Thank you, Aoi and thank you Santa Maria, we'll be back!
V. A.
Phenomenal service especially from Sara, great and authentic food made fresh and always brought to you with speed and quality.
S. P.
'Best Italian pizza in London' used to be my review a couple of years ago. You have dropped in dough and sauce quality by at least 20% Please let me give you 5 stars again.
A. R.
The food was amazing as were the staff, I plan to go back there and make it a weekly thing. Would recommend to anyone.
M. “. P.
Delicious pizza, plus a quick and friendly service. What's not to love?!
D. B.
Lovely bubbly staff and exquisite pizzas - my first time trying a pizza with a pumpkin base and it actually worked really well! I'd eaten at the Red Lion before but having its own unique surroundings in the new restaurant made it all the more memorable. I was even offered a free limoncello which I was too full to accept! 😂
R. O. M. P.
Small place full of flavours. Pizza was delicious, perfect and good price. Friendly staff and quick service
P. C.
Santa Maria is nice, considering they make pizzas that would taste like going to Italy. I had a pizza which had ham, black olives and artichokes. It tasted great but could do with a little less salt.
K. M.
Some of the best pizza in Ealing...however competition is rife round here!
M. H.
The service is great! Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The pizza rocks and the other items on the menu are memorable 😋 will definitely return.
R. M.
Really excellent pizza. Always busy due to the quality of the food on offer. Providing takeway and small outside dining as of April 2021. Moved to new premises, down the road close to center of Ealing, visited again July 2021, bigger, better, just as delish 😋😋
S. S.
Very good pizza spot it’s a place I highly recommend.
v. s.
Amazing food will be bsck as i didn't have any room or space for dessert
T. G.
The best pizza you can get in London. Worth the wait to get in.
V. S.
Fantastic pizza. Really missed being able to eat at the restaurant during lockdown. Very glad it is open again. Their aubergine dish is one of my favourite dishes period
M. M.
The pizza is very good. I'm a big fan of Franco Manca and they are up there on the same level. Intimate location and friendly staff.
N. A. Č.
I had calzonè here nice atmosphere ,good food , small and simple space ,got 2 tables out side as terrace .
Will comeback
S. W.
Great pizza, maybe even the closest you can get to the Italian cuisine without leaving the country.
Best part is that you can sit in the pub attached to the restaurant and order through them as they share a kitchen.
A. A.
Amazing Neapolitan pizza, great variety of menu, easy drinking wines and friendly staff. Pity it's tiny!
R. N.
Very tasty pizzas and good service as well!
D. S.
Best authentic pizza I've had in a long time. I've wanted to go here for a couple years now and, even though I had to wait quite a while outside for a table, I can say it is absolutely worth the wait. Totally understand why its so busy now!
Decent prices for such astonishing food x
M. L.
This is the best Pizza I have ever tasted outside of Italy. Why? Because the staff are like a family, it’s small, intimate and they really care about bringing a slice of Napoli to London. The dough is otherworldly, the ingredients are fresh, and together they are crafted in a proper wood-fired oven by passionate, talented individuals.
D. M.
Yummy pizza with my niece.
Great lunch!
T. B.
Good service , yummy pizza .. definitely one of the best ones in London .
P. A.
This hidden gem everyone talks about. The stories are true. It is by far the best pizza in London. Ask any Italian, and they say the same thing. In a nutshell - great tasting authentic pizza, that is a decent portion size and nicely priced. Quality all around. The main restaurant area is very small - however the pub next door shares the kitchen, so you can order and eat the pizza there as well. Service is good as well, no problems with it at all - and the servers were all Italian.
A. G.
Great friendly place with good vibes, kind staff and delicious pizza 🍕
R. H.
Excellent pizza, great and friendly staff
Z. V.
Pizza is great! :) Serving is great! :) Interior below the target.... :(
B. J.
Quite easily the very best pizzas in London.
M. V.
Easily one of the best pizza I've had in London. Nice venue and good food with ingredients that are extremely tasty.
A. B.
Best pizza in London. I had it in the next door pub but the atmosphere and the beer was bad. Among other things, a mouse was wandering among the tables. Here at Santa Maria, hearing the Italian pizza chefs singing and talking loudly among themselves made me smile and remember my holiday in Sorrento two years ago. Great place.
P. W.
Very friendly staff, food was really nice. Thoroughly recommend this restaurant.
J. G.
Me and my friend visited Santa Maria on 28.08.2020. We went for dinner and were instantly seated inside at back which is a lovely space. The lovely waitress with the red hair called Melanie served us. Melanie was attentive, polite, and explained anything on menu we were unsure about. I hadn't been to Santa Maria for a while, but we are so glad we went. Melanie was absolutely wonderful and the food was delicious. We will be returning. Thank you for a wonderful evening and Congratulations Santa Maria on employing someone as great as Melanie.

I'm not a fan of pizza but totally enjoyed eating here. The pizzas are freshly baked from scratch and very tasty. The portions were large and some of my party couldn't finish theirs. Also the staff were very friendly and helpful. A bit pricey but didn't regret it. Recommended!
S. S.
Amazing food, really was blown away!

One of the best pizzas I have ever had! I'm quite a fussy eater and hard to please when it comes to food. But my husband had been rambling on about the pizza here after he attended a work event. So I had to see for myself and the pizza was delicious! Pizza contained a rich tomato thick base, tons of mozzarella, lovely Yorkshire sausage and truffle oil was divine. We had a very friendly waiter on his second shift, was very attentive, took good care of us and added to our good experience. Well done Santa Maria!

The staff are polite, helpful and remember my familiar face (especially Antonio).
a. s.
We had 3 of them and each of them was perfect
K. L.
Amazing pizza like it's ordered straight from Italy. Sheer perfection!
K. N.
Best Pizzas you could have!
L. C.
Great food! The pizzas are amazing, you have to try the deep dish pizza. Also the pi squares are super tasty, like a mozarella sticks but with veggies too. The server was a wonderful person, sadly I don't remember his name. Now the only downside, I don't know why but the places was awfully hot, like 90degrees outside and 95 inside. Aside from that everything was really good

The best pizza you will ever eat. Nothing compares to this pizza so far, and we ate a lot of different pizzas in London and even in Italy.(A lot of pizzas in Italy were good but not as good as this one, this is the true pizza).
Staff is really friendly and its really cute and cozy place, also the prices are good especially when you compare it against the taste of the food, Average price of the pizza is about 9-11£. Would really recommend it to anyone wanting to try true real Italian pizza.
J. M.
The best pizza in London ❤️ such a lovely little place, full of charm.
We love coming here and there is nothing better than a fresh pizza.
Meatballs are to kill for! Absolutely brilliant! Balanced taste, fresh meat and the sauce is simply delicious.
A. T.
The best Pizza in London. A true craft to get the base so light fluffy and perfectly balanced elasticity. Toppings are authentic and top quality. We felt lucky to have something this good in little old Ealing.
A. B.
Really great food and drinks. Only issue is most vegan pizzas don't have a tomato base. Which I only noticed once ordered. The potato and onion base was not good. Stick to tomato. But many vegan choices which is much appreciated and therefore still 5 stars.
Great place none the less with a great pub next door.
P. “.
Amazing pizza, great music, good place to pop in after work.
D. S.
Delicious sourdough pizza, reasonably priced and a lovely garden to sit in now that the restaurant owns the neighbouring pub 🍕
K. T.
Fantastic pizza with a great pub next door. Lots of room and speedy service.
A. T.
Wonderful authentic food and lots of vegan options
J. G. E.
Possibly the best pizza house in West London!
V. M.
Really good pizza, the N'duja added to a few of the pizzas is really spicy but delicious if you like a kick. Great flavour and the starters were ace too. Beer garden was a nice surprise but just felt like it needed a little maintenance. You can play your own vinyls which is a cool addition!
M. F.
Very nice pizza. The dining room is a bit awkward. I understand that it's a business and they're trying to make the most out of it, but I was practically rubbing elbows with the person on the table next to me. You can lose a table guys, your product is still very nice.
K. B.
The best pizza in West London if not in the whole London (for me). Everything is fresh and as authentic as it can be given you aren't in Italy. The staff is nice and friendly, the place is tiny and adds to the atmosphere. You can now order the pizza at the Red Lion pub next door whilst having your pint. I don't eat pizza anywhere else anymore. Santa Maria opened their second branch on rather posh Kings road in Chelsea area, which I haven't been to yet, so can't comment.
C. M.
Very friendly service and excellent coffee - best I’ve ever tasted
I. C.
Always a good option .Great pizzas and starters , good wine , good service and all that now can be e joyed at the RED LION -Ealing Broadway...
H.
Ordered on deliveroo and they had no riders so I ended up waiting a while before I contacted the restaurant and they were incredibly lovely and said they would remake the pizzas so they did not arrive cold and would contact deliveroo. They even called once the order was collected just to update me. Shame about deliveroo but wonderful service from Santa Maria and incredible pizzas!
T. N.
Its reputation is well earnt. Delicious Pizza that is worth waiting for.
M.
The pizza is good napolitan pizza. Very busy. I recommend booking a table in the pub next door which they own and do the same menu.
The ingredients used to be better I must admit but it’s still a fantastic pizza.
I recommend the st.caterina with added black olives. You’re welcome.
E. N.
Pizzas are fantastic. Menu is literally pizza and food quality is great. Food cooked fresh to order in traditional pizza oven. Service is not great if you are looking for a relaxed evening. Staff can be abrupt and literally want you in and out. Have almost been told off once for taking a table when I arrived, as my friend didn't turn up for another 10 mins. Wine choices are not great. Would recommend the Aubergine parmigiana to start, any pizza and the home made tirimisu for dessert. Even though the service is basic it is part of the charm of the place.
K.
Santa Maria is lovely pizzeria just down the road from Ealing Broadway.
I have been going here for years and the quality and taste of the pizza just seems to be increasing each time I go.
The menu too has expanded a lot since the first time I ate there 5 years ago.
They also have a lot of lovely Vegan options and have a wide variety of pizzas to choose from. My recent favourite is a pizza called the San Massamo, which is cashew nut cream base with aubergines and Tomatoes 😍
Definitely check this place out if you love Pizza with an authentic Italian feel
E. C.
Best pizza in London, no competition. My friends and I come here from far afield for the pizza and it never disappoints. Have it in the pub next door if no tables - you won't regret it.
O. S.
Nice pizzas and friendly staff. The service charge was £3.50
O. F.
I've eaten there twice. The quality of the ingredients is good and the place is nice. I'm giving it three stars because the first time we went we really liked the food, but the last time one of our pizzas was mediocre and the other one (it was a calzone) we hated it. It was probably our taste preference because you could still feel the ingredients were decent quality, but given the price and alternatives in the area probably not a place for us to go back to in a hurry.
Y. P.
Small and cozy place to eat good Italian food. It was too crowded on Friday evening. Pizzas was very tasty. Dough of my caprichosa pizza was a little raw. Waitress immediately took the pizza and chef prepeare new one right away. Me and my wifee like taste and presentation of food. We can recommend and we will visit this place again whit pleasure.
D. M.
A very good place, although it doesn't compare to Coda di Volpe in Ealing. The staff are very hit and miss, they couldn't figure out what salami/pepperoni the they offer on two occasions. I received uncooked ham which was quite terrible, I just removed it and had the pizza as a margarita as we had already left. The chef can make the pizza well done (burnt edges and base which is good) or undercooked depending on the day/time. On average, a better pizzeria than most but could improve.
P. M.
Great pizza 😍
I. C.
Always a good option .Great pizzas and starters , good wine , good service and all that now can be e joyed at the RED LION -Ealing Broadway...

Loved it! Great pizza and wonderful people! :)
M. S.
Great pizza, go visit
p.
So good. Desserts are amazing and pizza home-baked and family run very small so not ideal for large groups
B. a. Y.
The best Italian pizza in West London - highly recommended :)
D. B.
Good food will go again!
C. D. R.
Amazing pizza. Really friendly staff
M. E.
One of the best in London by far. 5*
F. C.
Campania pizza makers. As a good Neapolitan I heard them speak and recognized the accent. Although the small place offers a few tables, the pizza is very good and in the classic Neapolitan style: plentiful, fluffy and light. The secret of a good pizza is first in the goodness of the ingredients and then in the wisdom of pasta processing, light and fluffy. Good also folded pizza. Congratulations!
K. S. D.
This is meant to be the best pizza place in London so being a pizza lover I've wanted to go and try it for ages. Well finally got my chance on Saturday before watch Avengers Endgame (amazing movie btw).
We had to wait a short while for tables but no big issue and meant we got a drink in their pub next door.
The service from start to finish was very good and everyone was friendly. The prices were also reasonable and it didn't hit the pocket too hard with the portion sizes being reasonable. There were 2 of us and we had 1 starter, 1 pizza, 1 calzone and a dessert each and we were satisfied.
Now the main thing, the food. Was it the best pizza in London? I think it was VERY good and price for value was amazing, possibly one of the best pizzas I've had in London, not sure I would say it was the best though.
Having said that I will defo be back, the food was delicious, staff amazing and prices reasonable.
C. P.
Well the pizza of course is good. The best thing is that it arrives very quickly. The place it’s very small but it’s well known that it first started by being a take away pizzeria. And actually I’ve seen loads of pizzas being delivered. I wish they delivered in Park Royal too. It’s sad because other places in Ealing do.
N. S.
Delicious pizza, great atmosphere and a real gem that has to be visited when in west London. Staff always say it's going to be a long wait for a table and it never is. They don't take bookings. Don't be put off by staff saying you have to wait for hours! Best pizza in London.
R. B.
Awesome experience! Pizza was absolutely fantastic, really tasty. Best pizza I've ever had in my entire life. Nice and friendly people working there as well. Unfortunately the place it's small and busy, therefore is quite difficult having a table sometimes. But definitely worth waiting!
P. B.
Fantastic authentic Neapolitan pizzas. Great value. Precisely what a local pizza joint should be. You can also order the pizza in the Red Lion pub next door which has the added bonus of having Sierra Nevada Pale Ale on tap plus lots of Fullers beers.
p.
So good. Desserts are amazing and pizza home-baked and family run very small so not ideal for large groups
S.
Cozy place, great food even for us Italians (and not surprisingly there were other Italians in the restaurant). Surprisingly full even for a late lunch (15:30), good sized pizzas and great prices for London. Plenty of pizza choices for vegans, but not many choices outside of pizza. Will go again for sure!
N. C.
There is a reason this place wins so many awards and is always recommended for the best pizza. Fresh quality ingredients that make the most devine pizza. It's the sauce, I have no idea what's in it but it's so lovely. Great they do take out, so much more of a treat than other pizza places.
A. S.
best night out in ages (before lockdown obviously) The host was very attentive, explained and recommended the best dished of the day. I'm vegetarian and he recommended very good food for me too.
A.
The pizzas are amazing; easily some of the nicest I've ever had. Definitely worth coming to try them.
Only complaint is that the portion sizes for some of the starters and desserts were pathetic. For £2.50 we got some olives- well, 7 of them to be precise. Yes- seven medium sized olives in a tiny metal cup.
For the ice cream dessert I paid £4.50 for two tasty but miniscule scoops. It was like they had Scrooge working for them for the evening!
(The pizza portion sizes are fine though!)
G. D. G.
Cosy, authentic wood fire traditional pizza. Best in Ealing
s. w.
Stylish pizzeria with very decent far, but you can get pizza of this quality much cheaper elsewhere in London. You're paying for above average service and fancy brass cutlery, which makes for a nice setting. I'm told the cocktails are very good.
E. R.
The food is amazing!!! They offer loads of different pizzas with all different toppings. However there can be too much oil on the pizza make all the toppings slip around on the pizza base. Overall it does taste so good and the offer desserts and italian drinks
H. H.
The best pizza I have ever had in my life. Fast service and never disappoints. Great for a family meal, couple, or just popping in on a lunch break for a quick fix. Love the surroundings too.
L. P.
Unique, flavorful pizza with hefty toppings!
T. d. F.
Can't beat the simplicity of this pizza. Super delicious. My favourite pizza in London
F. P.
Great service! Fantastic authentic pizza 🍕!!!!
M. R.
After passing many time from this place a give a try!! Pizza was good nice taste, nice ingredients but the dough was a bit too soft in my opinion!
Nice parmigiana , good customer service but very small place!
L. D.
Hands down, the best pizza I've ever had (and I've spent a lot of time in Italy). Great people, great atmosphere, and unbelievably good value. Small, fast paced and authentic. Nothing pretentious or overly sophisticated, just superb food made with real passion.
P. H.
Santa maria is one, if not the best pizzeria in London. They absolutely smash the neapolitan pizza that the Italians make and they have become so successful that they have joined with the fullers pub next to them. If you are ever in London you must absolutely come to santa maria. It has earned its 5 stars and this pizzeria should stay open for ever.
C. S.
Pizza here is undeniably tasty. Dough is slightly chewy and has great flavour, plus the prices are reasonable. Found the service to be quite mixed, with some faces friendlier than others, but overall a really pleasant experience. Didn't rate the chocolate gelato though – icey and cheap tasting, pretty disappointing. Just go for the pizza!
D. N.
Very authentic pizza. No pepperoni, No jalapeno. Lovely simple starters and pizzas like you would get in backstreet Naples. Very fresh ingredients, quick service in very simple room. There is beer and Italian wines in carafe. Justifiably busy, and loads of takeaway also. Strongly recommended for good, simple food.
F. R.
My favourite pizza place in London! The no sauce pizzas are a great twist on a proven recipe. Great atmosphere, great food and service - interesting patrons. The only problem is getting a table some nights, even after the re-fit there just is not enough space which is a shame. However they are now on Deliveroo so if you live nearby you don't have an excuse to try them out. :-( I am just a little out of range. Summer months are fab, you can takeout and sit on the green.
S. H.
Fantastic authentic Italian pizza - recommended by an Italian no less! Wonderful food.
A. M.
The pizza is really delicious, toppings and base! You can smell the truffle oil from outside the restaurant. We ordered a takeaway and took it to Walpole Gardens for a picnic. Couldn't recommend Santa Maria pizza enough and really hope we get to go back sometime. Great menu for vegetarians too.
F. A.
Lots of options for people who have preferences/dietary requests and needs. They are card only and it's confusing for a large party, as you are to add on the machine service afterward but it's included in the bill...? Good pizza though.
j. s.
As a pizza lover I highly recommend this place... no. I don't want you to go there! ;)
I don't want to queue for the best pizza in town. So please go somewhere else ;)
Santa Rosa is my favourite and you can also have it on the pub next door. So dont cry if there are no tables, go for a pint and order at the pub.
Win-win.
M. A.
I ordered pizza with walnuts cream base and I was sick after it. Im not sure what happened because previously I had really good pizza from this place. Vegan and non vegan optons were delicious except for the one with walnuts. This one was trully disgusting!
A. G.
Great pizza place. Before all others there was Santa Maria. Franco Manca is very good. Santa Maria is better.
Seriously.
They won Time Outs best pizza in London a few years ago. And always get mentioned every year. Awesome place. Go there.
C. B.
It's quite understandable why this was voted Best Pizzeria in London, 2015. The food is quite simply excellent. Their starter of meatballs with nduja in a tomato and ricotta sauce is nothing short of a revelation. Friendly service to boot means you're sure to have an excellent meal and time here.
Just be sure to book in advance; a capacity to 20 or so people doesn't make this a large place. Though if you can wait, I can thoroughly recommend sitting in the pub next door for a pint beforehand.
M. B.
Fantastic pizza, straight out of Italy. Lots of options at reasonable prices.
T. H.
The best Pizza in London, I swear!
This is one of my favourite places to eat in London.
I love small tucked away restaurants and Santa Maria is what I set the bar to when it comes to this category.
The menu size is perfect, with enough variety and not over stretching itself when it comes to quality of ingredients.
I highly recommend the San Mattia, (lots of cheese, no tomato sauce with truffle oil). It's the real deal.
I've found their wines to always be of a good standard which is a bonus.
(It would be nice if they had some more beers on the menu, not a huge fan of Peroni).
The atmosphere is great as well, especially when it's busy. You get truly get transported out of London to somewhere else.
I've recommended this place to so many people and I've always had good feedback from them.
Do yourself a favour and give Santa Maria a try!
N. A.
Delicious simple rustic pizzas made by Italians. You can't book in advance - this place is always busy. Simple decor - tasty food. And the house red is pretty nice too!
A. T.
My favourite pizza restaurant in London by far. The best ingredients available are used to cook the pizzas in the classic Neapolitan style. Go and visit now - you will not regret it. Oh and the puddings are out of the world
B. W.
The atmosphere is welcoming. The interior is not bad. I like their food, because it is always been prepared with effort and passion. The pizzas are simply delicious. Don't forget that the only way to lose weight is to accept the diet mentality and see it as a lifestyle. You need to lose weight in a way that is sustainable. Also the eating habits had to be particular and you should keep them for the rest of your life. You should find a balance. And I believe that in order to do this without a problem, there is nothing bad in eating some ice-cream, pizza, chocolate or cakes sometimes.
M. H.
V busy small but cosy restaurant with good service. Pizzas are fresh handmade in the open kitchen
V. M.
The food was just as the menu says.. Authentic Napolitan to the maximum level! I've been to Napoli and I have ate a lot of pizzas from the best places there with locals and I can say, honestly, that my dinner there was like I was dining in Napoli again! If you want pizza choose Santa Maria pizzeria and reset your standards for pizza after that.. You will always go back there.. Nothing will be enough to compete it.
N. “. K.
Fantastic place, my favorite pizza place in London. Approved by my Italian friends from Naples. The service is quick, the staff are amazing and so is the food. You wont find a better tasting pizza in London!! Try the truffle infused San Mattia!
D. K.
Stunning pizzas made fresh in under 10 mins, easy quick order on the door. Great service from the nice staff on tonight, and very good value.
P. O.
Incredibly tasty and true to authentic Italian style of pizza. Sometimes the toppings can make the dough slightly too wet. But the flavour is so good it probably won't bother You!
Y. H.
one of the best pizza places ive ever been to! the pizzas are big and super tasty and pretty decently priced too!
B. S.
Best vegan pizza I've yet experienced in London. Service is always good, used over 10x and never a complaint. Very highly recommended.
I. S.
I recently had a meal with my family. The pizza was good as always and the service was decent. The service charge was included but the waitress asked for an additional tip for her service. In the end we paid £70.00 for two pizza , one beer , one glass of wine , one apple juice and one tiramisu.
C. D.
Definitely one of the best authentic napoli style pizzas in london. They also now offer a few great vegan options which might not sound so authentic but hey vegans have the right to enjoy fabulous pizza too!
A. F.
You have to love this place it is so cosy!! The service is good and the staff very friendly. They came to our table Plenty of times to ensure all was going fine. The pizza is very good. You can grab a pint from the pub next door and bring it to the restaurant. Highly recommended
s. a.
Great Italian Pizzeria... always busy
F. V.
I'm Neapolitan...so I can have my say on pizza! It's one of the best in London. Had some problems in the past to find a seat but now they have partnered up with the Red Lion next door so u can order a pizza or anything else whilst enjoying na pint. Highly recommended!
S.
Always hits the mark this place. Eaten there too many times to count and NEVER fails to deliver.
Best pizza in London basically.
The Bufalina is one of those very simple things in life that when done really properly and with love becomes more than the sum of its parts.
M. R.
We ordered pizza's whilst drinking at the pub next door. The pizza's arrived very quickly but it was a Monday night. I chose the pizza with anchovies & capers and found it very very salty. The base was underdone for my liking & starters arrived after we had finished the pizza. The price was ok.
B. O.
Amazing pizza. You struggle to finish it. I'd the Santa Rosa. £10.50. We ate in the The Red Lion pub; which is next door to the restaurant, but there's a connecting passageway to Santa Maria's kitchen. Great value. Pizza and London Pride is a good combination
H. P.
This place is tiny so I've only eaten in the actual restaurant once, otherwise you can be served at the pub next door (ideal for larger groups). Food is fantastic, plenty of choice, generous portions and and made with fresh, good quality ingredients. Staff are friendly and always happy to pack the leftovers for you to take home.
S.
Santa Maria is on a top places for pizza list, and so I decided to pay them a visit. I had a margarita it was really fresh, had fantastic flavour, the dow was cooked perfectly and it was amazing. The service and speed of cooking is also excellent as it's cooked in front of you in their traditional oven. This level of quality and freshness makes you realise you will never go back to store bought or Highstreet pizza chains as this is of a higher standard. Perfect!
M. G.
Best Italian (Neapolitalian) pizza in the town. Not expensive... Sometimes you have to wait for a free table, but this only proofs that the food is great.
You go once, you will be coming back again, like I do, once a month.
T. A.
Have eaten here many times but mostly get pizzas delivered. You'll be hard pressed to find a pizza in London that compares. My only concern is that recently the delivered pizzas arrive soggy... enough times for me to be writing this review. I don't know if this is down to boxing the pizzas too soon out the oven or the type of box or the time taken for the drivers to deliver, but something's affecting the quality and I think I'll be sticking to ordering their pizzas in the restaurant for the time being.
J. M.
Excellent Pizza - cheap too! Very attentive and friendly staff! Tends to get busy, but you can always wait at the pub next door. Ignore all the negative review writers - either they do not know what good pizza is or they are simply a**eholes or both. Personally - San Matia with truffle oil is the best!
A. M.
One of the most authentic Neapolitan pizzerias in London. Which is why it gets some negative reviews from people used to something else. Don't expect a romantic 'Italian' restaurant - expect to get takeaway (on your scooter?) or else to queue and then eat quickly at a tiny table, on the way to somewhere else. Expect the staff to be friendly but direct, in a matter-of-fact, Southern Italian kind of way. Expect your pizza to arrive in minutes, straight from a proper, 500 degree, wood-fired stoneware oven. Expect the toppings to be simple, with the focus on the pizza itself. Expect the dough to be tasty and chewy, like in Naples, with the center 'soupy' with bright red San Marzano tomatoes.
H. S.
The best pizza I've had. Try the tiramisu too! You can also have Santa Maria pizza in the red lion pub next door, in case there's no space in the restaurant when you stop by!
S. D.
Very tasty Italian pizza, good seasonal food and nice drinks. The place is run by Italians and the atmosphere is amusing.
You likely will have to wait half an hour for a seat, as they don't take reservations and the local itself is quite small. You can leave your number though, and have a beer at the pub next to it.
One of my favourite places in Ealing!
G. S.
Indisputably the best pizza I've eaten all year.
SANTA DANIELA (Vegan San Daniele)
Cream of walnut and soy milk, with rocket, cherry tomatoes, grilled marinated aubergines and walnuts. Quartering the cherry tomatoes creates a good balance of the sweet juicy tomato and the toothsome pizza base. The aubergines are thinly sliced to be well roasted but not so thin their texture is lost. Walnuts add a crunch and the rocket adds its distinctive tang.
R. M.
Authentic Italian pizza cooked in a wood fired stove. Eat in the cosy restaurant or spread out a bit in the Red Lion pub next door. The Santa Maria serves both. We had garlic bread, meatballs and then pizza. Would recommend it all
B. a. Y.
The best Italian pizza in West London - highly recommended :)
R. D.
A quaint little pizza place in Ealing with a great and authentic Italian feel. Really nice pizza and friendly staff. They even have a friendly agreement with the pub next door if you want to order there. Only thing is that the pizza was a little soggy in the middle (perhaps a bit too thin?)
I. A.
I was expecting something better, having read very good reviews on the net. The atmosphere is cosy, the staff very kind, but the pizza was not of a quality that I have not tasted before. It was very busy when I visited, so there was a feeling that they had to rush me, which was reflected in what felt like a slightly undercooked pizza. In general it's fine, but I don't think that this is a place which deserved an hour-long trip for a visit.
D. C.
By far the best pizza restaurant in London as far as I can tell, they offer a true authentic neapolitan traditional pizza experience, and I can say it's better than the average pizza you would find in Naples Italy. While sitting at their table, I don't feel homesick anymore.
However, if you're not Italian and all you're looking for is a paid/fake smile from the staff, you're better off going elsewhere, as they're all Italian and their smiles will only ever be authentic just as their food.
T. L.
Fantastic pizza but you can't reserve a table here and you can queue for a while as it gets very busy at times. The dining area is tiny and "cosy" but the pizza is fabulous. If you want a romantic meal where you can linger over dinner in sumptuous surroundings, go somewhere else. If you want amazing pizza, come here.
j. K.
Wasn't too impressed by the pizza here.it arrived cold and too crispy from the edges. Made eating the pizza very challenging and distracting from the experience that they have been notably recommended for. I may go back to see if it's a case of being second time lucky!
J. S.
Best pizza in London. Simple. The restaurant is cosy and the staff are incredible. Range of specials to keep it fresh, plus their own craft beer is out of this world!
c. d.
Literally sitting over the Thames riverside this cafe is a great place for breakfast! Freshly cooked food, quick service and friendly. I went during the summer and the lines for the London Eye were ridiculous and blocking the entrance to the pier. However, the river boat was lovely and gentlegreat sites and views especially on a good day when the sun is out.
m. L.
Good Italian style pizza reasonably priced, just a few minutes walk from Ealing Broadway
A. M.
The pizzas there are delicious. It is hard to resist on the melted cheese. The ingredients are always fresh and you won't regret if you go there. The only negative thing for me - on Friday I saw my ex-boyfriend and his new girlfriend there.
Y. 2.
The best pizza I have ever had. My children loved the experience, and the food. Keep up the good work guys. The tastes were unbelieveble, an all round great visit. People waiting, and hanging around for a table speaks for it's self. Thanks again.
G. P.
Undoubtedly the best pizza in London. Like in Naples.
J. M.
The San Mattia - buffalo mozzarella, mushroom and truffle oil is a thing of absolute beauty. It climbs inside your nostrils before you even see it coming, and alongside a glass of Italian red is true ambrosia.
Excellent pizza starts from a solid base, and here it is cooked consistently with the perfect level of wood fired carbonisation to add the bitterness that balances with the sweetness of tomato or the saltiness of the cheese. This is some of the best pizza you can fold into your face outside, or inside of Italy.
It can be cramped and sweaty. They don’t take reservations, but operate a list and will ring your mobile when the table is ready (conveniently there is a pub next door). It’s worth the wait and the squeeze.
A. M.
Does only pizzas, but does them perfectly. Very small but cute place, works perfectly for takeaways.
A.
Overly crowded but I didn’t mind it at all! Just thinking about the pizza makes my mouth water again :) I am glad that I’ve found this place since they make heavenly good pizzas (try the one with buffalo mozzarella! Omg it was amazing!) and their ricotta filled cannoli is to die for! I’d definitely come back again!
I. V.
The best pizza I've tried in London. It's small restaurant.
J. U.
Amazing pizza but their starters are to die for ! I probably never enjoy the main meal as much as I should because I stuff myself with their amazing buffalo mozzarella starter and the mini melanzane alla parmigana. Go make yourself a favour and have a pizza today !
M. N.
The best pizza in London!
A. K.
Friendly environment and still one of the best authentic Neapolitan pizza in London. Very short wait after ordering. I must say that my pizza was slightly undercooked last time I ate here.

Forget what everyone else says. This is the only review you need to read. My family are all originally from Naples and I have lived in London for over 20 years. I have tasted many many pizzas over here in that time as you can probably imagine! This place is the best. It's really as simple as that. From the moment I stepped through the door it was like being transported to a pizzeria in Naples. The wood burning oven, the open plan kitchen, the smells and the whole general atmosphere. The owners have done everything possible to import every aspect of Italy to give their diners a truly authentic experience. No detail is spared even down to the imported italian flour they use to make the dough. This is how italians make and eat pizza. There have been some negative reviews on here. To some people the pizza isn't really what they expected. Perhaps they prefer the mass produced overpriced rubbish you find in places like Pizza Express. I guess that's their choice and that's fine...but that isn't "real" pizza. This is.

The best pizza I ever had in London!

My goto pizza place for true Italian Pizza in West London. No reservations but having the Red Lion pub next door helps. It'll you want the main restaurant, you will simply have to wait! It's worth the wait!!
C. A.
Lovely thin crust pizzas. They are always fresh and the staff are quite generous in terms of products so you want eat just dough. We recently had a slightly unpleasant experience with rude staff but the other times we've visited everything has been all right so I hope it was a one time thing.
S. C.
I really enjoy their pizza! Always so tasty! I think it's one of the best place for real Italian pizza in London!
K. L.
This is a gem! Pure and super yummy Italian Pizzeria in the lovely leafy green Borough of Ealing. The Pizzas are huge, the service is very attentive and you have to book ahead as the place is tiny. It has only around 15 seats and on weekends it is super full. Try also the homemade Tiramisu - it is delicious.
G. d.
Great Pizza, i am Italian, i had to wait a bit for the pizzas but completly understand as take away was really impressing. Could give 5 but staff looked maybe tired as not so happy!!! Valentina was the only staff very friendly and activitie. Will recommend this place.
D. R.
Used to be really busy before. But now they serve at the pub next door - this has increased the capacity. All the pizzas are excellent, fresh and handmade
P. T.
Perfect pizza, perfect wait times. Great staff. Atmosphere like you're in Italy as you sit down to eat really traditional pizza.
S. B.
Real NEAPOLITAN pizza. Pizza in Naples is very different from the pizza you get anywhere else in Italy. Also Naples is where pizza is born, so this is what you want to eat if you are looking for a real italian experience :) The consistency is different, and if you expect the same pizza you get in Milan, you are not going to find it here. Instead you will get the most delicious and authentic pizza in London. I am Italian and I have lived near Naples for several years and I grow VERY picky about my pizza and this is the one I was looking for since i moved to London. Ingredients are fresh, tiramisu is superb and the service is very friendly, you will basically feel like home. A must try!
N. D.
Loved it! Great pizza and wonderful people! :)
M. S.
Pizza is really delicious here, I must say. I've tried also a "burratina", a little burrata. Very good even if too cold. Service is very good despite all the bad comments. I would have left 5 stars if that good bottle of Aglianico wine was not so warm and burratina not so cold. And if I can add also that pizza is not totally cooked also (it was almost as good as in Naples, believe me). Definitely the best pizza in London so far though. Space for improvement!
J. C.
Pizza as you would find it in Naples, thin crispy crust, fresh ingredients and some baked before your eyes. The place is tiny and there's no reservations so you might have to wait a bit during busy periods. Well worth it!
C. W.
Very good pizza

Wow.
If you like pizza, and like it authentic and soulful, then this place is worth the excursion from anywhere within the M25 - and outside as well.
The owners are Italian and know their pizza. There's nothing bizarre or experimental on this menu - it's all faithful Italian recipes with fresh ingredients and brain-meltingly beautiful dough.
Turn your back on the inevitable dreary rain outside and you could be sat in a tiny pizzeria somewhere in Italy. The wood-fired oven completes the authenticity.
The two tiny criticisms I have are that a) there's very limited seating so you often have to wait for a seat and b) when it's full it's noisy and feels a little cramped, especially when the local baby-brigade is in full effect.
I had the calzone. I've never tasted cheese so good.
O. O.
Not enough places. We ended up sharing a table with not the best company. An exceptionally good pizza, but too bad we had to eat it and get out of there just to avoid the other people talking to us at the shared table... too bad. Staff are friendly and welcoming, but in this circumstance is quite annoying sharing the table. Maybe take away next time...

We went there a couple of days ago and I was delighted. The service is very good, polite and professional and the pizza is delicious. There were 3 different toppings which were all great. The whole atmosphere is cozy and pleasant.
W. K.
Although quite a claustrophobic restaurant, especially so when full, the pizzas were excellent with one of the best crusts I've ever had on a pizza, and excellent choices of toppings and sides throughout the menu.
J. R.
Best pizza in Ealing, West London - and one of the best pizzas in London. And now you can also order their pizzas at the excellent Fullers pub next door as well (which means less queuing/waiting). Pizzas are also available via the usual online delivery services.
A. M.
I love proper Italian pizza and I've tried pizzerias all over the city in search of the perfect pizza. Santa Maria makes the best pizza I've had outside of Naples. It's certainly the best in London, hands down.
t. c.
Didn't really like the decoration and music of the new place. Doesn't feel like an Italian pizza place. The food is still ok tho
S. D.
Excellent service, good choice for pizza. I was told it was one of the best in London, which I am not sure about but definitely one of the best in West London. The venue tends to be quite busy and it's small so book if you can!
M. P.
Authentic Italiann pizza. Unfortunately you cannot book in advance and most of the times you ll have to wait. The only reason i am putting 4/5 🌟 is because service could be slow at times and too much deliveroo orders make the place a bit loud. However pizza and tiramisu are 5/5 🌟
S. Y.
One of the best pizzerias in London!!
Very small restaurant so you may have to queue but it's worth it. Or go to the Red Lion pub where you can also order it.
Believe the hype just delicious!!
F. P.
Maybe the restaurant is to small, but you are going there to have some food.
I tried pizza, dessert and the wine: 10+.
Thanks, guys.
Grazie, ragazzi.
M. F.
Great little pizza store. The dough is fresh and the perfect density, the topping fresh and delicious. Very well priced for such good pizza, would highly recommend.
R. W.
Amazing pizza, some of the best I've had in the UK. Almost as good as in Naples...Almost. Good prices, good house wine available in a variety of carafe sizes, small beer selection (4).
V. J.
The place is real nice and cozy. Good pizza, good staff, and a good environment. The food doesn’t take hours to be served. However, it did take me a while to be seated and to get the check.
J. G.
The place is a bit small, and there are only limited seats that they offer, so you better not to go here during the peak hours. The service is great and all the staffs worked well and move so quickly. Love to come here again and grab a delicious and flavourful pizza for my loved one.
P. N. A.
Without doubt the best pizza I’ve had in London. Authentic, delicious, great value for money! Highly recommend to anyone
A. R.
The best pizza I've ever had. Base, sauce, toppings - everything about it is great. Friendly Neapolitan staff and a great atmosphere make this a first class pizzeria.
D. E.
This is my favourite pizza place. The average pricing and the special offers made me constantly dreaming of eating not only one, but several slices of pizza from Santa Maria. For approximately £5.00 you can buy a basic, but tasty pizza.
I usually order the San Mattia for £10 ( it is not so cheap as you can notice) , because I like the combination of mozzarella, mushrooms, truffle oil and parmesan cheese a lot.
C. C.
Great pizza Napoli-style, had the n’duja + sausage white pizza, ingredients were fresh and dough perfect. No-nonsense service as you would expect from your local spot.
S. P. L.
The best pizza in London, by a long shot. Lovely atmosphere inside the small restaurant but if it's too busy you can go next door to the pub and still get the delicious Santa Maria pizza.
P. D.
Great pizza but the place is really crowded. You probably will have to wait to be seated. Also the food (just 2 pizzas) took ages to arrive which I thought was really bad. But the pizza is quite good. I still wouldnt go again. L'antica in Hampstead still wins!
C. R.
Amazing pizza - on a par with Franco's. Cosy atmosphere. 2 pizzas, 1ltr of wine and 2 ice creams (delicious!) for £40.
The pizza base is perfectly salty, and the ingredients are good quality. Arrived in a timely manner.
r. u.
It's ok. Overpriced for what it is and our food wasn't perfect. With so many authentic pizzerias opening in the neighbourhood I think this place has lost its sheen.
A. C.
Can't recommend this place highly enough. Outstanding pizza, good price, lovely staff. Other Ealing restaurants should take note. Only downside is that you can't book, but we have never waited more than 10-15 mins for a table.
P. B.
Fully deserving of all the hype. The food was exceptional. Small premises perhaps not for everyone. 10/10
M. C.
I visited this pizzeria while I was doing a photo reportage on the area. I don't know many places where you can enjoy a proper italian pizza like at Santa Maria. Lovely staff as well. Definitely recommend.
H. M.
This is simply the best pizza in London. They also have great burgers and fries now that they also run the pub next door. What to order at another pizza restaurant in London is an Uber to Santa Maria.
m. m.
Service was quick and the pizza was great as always. Busy lively atmosphere in the pub nextdoor where you can seat and order pizza from the restaurant.
A. V.
the BEST PIZZA in London😋👍🏻
A. K.
Another great experience today! The folks were delightfully playful and easygoing with our 3yr old & as the Neapolitan owner guy singing Laura Paozzini bragged, their pizza is outstanding - toppings may feel sparse, but the dough and sauce are perfect. Not as packed for Saturday lunch. Assorted breads, antipasti, gelati, tiramisu all very decent. For dinner, do go an hour early, put your name on the list and go to nearby pub for a drink; they will call you in when they've got a table.
U. A.
Best pizza in london. cozy family atmosphere and charming service. Go a little early as you will have to leave your phone number to get a table at busy times.
C. J.
Still best pizza in London! Love it
A. M.
Thin based pizza. I had the S.Paola pizza and Goccia Al Pistacchio mouse dessert. Outside seating available. You can also eat in the Red Lion pub next door who provides Santa Maria's menu. The pub would cater for large groups. It has association with the Eailing Studios AKA stage 6.
A. P.
One of the best pizzas I've had in London! Fresh ingredients and a homely atmosphere contribute to make this place one of my favourites in west London.
N. C.
Spot on pizza and service. Authentic Neapolitan pizza made with genuinely fresh ingredients. The best pizzeria in London by a mile. Highly recommended.
C. a. C.
best pizza in west London for certain. eat here if you want great food. nothing more can be said.
k. c.
Best pizza in the world.
e. r.
Pizza is very good and very authentic Neapolitan one. The place is small and in my opinion not very clean. The table was greasy and in general the structure was not very satisfactory.
A. A.
Nice place and great food especially their pizza. I must say that I'm having a great time while I'm eating pizza here at the Santa Maria I really the service in fact I admire their staffs because they really care about the costumer so much! The food is very awesome and they are all in affordable price. Must recommend this one to all I know.
R. F.
There are plenty of good contenders for best pizza in London, but if your favourite style is the original authentic Neapolitan style, you will struggle to do better that Santa Maria in Ealing. Most of the staff seem to be Neapolitan and the owners definitely are, and they will happily engage you in the usual Southern charm you would find in Spaccanapoli. The pizzas are exactly as you would expect in Naples centro Storico from the likes of da Michele or Salvo. And given they use the same ingredients, techniques and use a proper wood-fired oven, it is little surprise.
If you are from Naples, miss it's cobbled streets from your last visit, or simply love, good, honest, proper Neapolitan pizza, you will struggle to find a better one than this in West London.
G. F.
Pizza is truly Italian pizza. Very tasty and with excellent ingredients. Highly recommend pizza buffalina, as a very simple supergood pizza. Not 5 stars as the room to eat it is not the nicest and not at the level of its pizza.
S. B.
Best pizza in town! Hands down you won't be disappointed. Their tomato sauce in the pizzas is AMAZING! If you're reading this and haven't tried Santa Maria. Get yourself there.
R. S.
Best pizzas I've tried (great vegetarian options) - exclusive due to less seating but worth the wait!
S. P.
Decent authentic pizza, but servers lack basic manners and human connection. Being asked to wait outside in the rain for a takeaway is somewhat inconsiderate - takeaway customers also eat-in sometimes. Stroll down the road to L'oro Di Napoli if you want to compare.
F. M.
Good pizza, even if my calzone was somewhat flat and average. However the restaurant it's too small and they try to seat way too many people. All in all the restaurant experience is OK.
S. C.
You have to try the Aubergine Parmigiana first. The pizza is truly great.
Remember - no cash, just card payments.
PS - bring back Chinotto on the menu please
M. W.
They don't have the most amazing pizzas, but I especially loved the mozzarella. What they have perfected is the delivery; always on time, even late into the night
L. S. o. E.
Excellent pizza from a wood fire oven. The place itself is very pleasant, the staff always friendly, lovely experience every time!
F. D. (.
Best Neapolitan pizzeria in UK
M. S.
Great pizza, go visit
P. S.
First time visiting. Food and service amazing. Highly recommend to try authentic Italian wood fired oven pizza.
J.
My girlfriend took me here and it didn't disappoint. Absolutely heavenly pizza with fantastic dough, sauce and ingredients. Sometimes I dream of this pizza at night 🤤
R. B.
Such a shame.... I built up my husband for this amazing pizza experience (having eaten here in the past) and it was such a let down... Watery in the middle, wayyyy too much cheese and that's on top of waiting for a pizza (place not even half full) for such a long time the kids were complaining.... I'm so disappointed and sadly will not be visiting here again.... I also left with no desert... Couldn't bear to wait for that too
P. T.
Sorry guys, I don't get the hype. Some of the more exotic pizzas are ok, but otherwise pretty average in taste. There are much better places in the neighbourhood. Victim of its own success?
P. F.
this is a delicious pizza place! it has a really authentic feel to it, and the pizza is yum. probably a tad on the expensive side, but way way way way WAY better than Pizza Hut or Dominoes rubbish. recommended!
D.
The pizzas are just delicious! I had a bad experience once with a waitress but the food made up for it.
M. H.
Great pizzas here. Really good service too. It's hard to get a table on a nice day as its that popular. Nice pub next door to wait in and they call you when a table is free.
A. M.
One of the best pizzas I've eaten. They have a delicious vegan menu and they keep changing the flavours so every time I go they surprise me.
D. G.
Always good, pizza are like art
M. P.
To be honest, the pizzas there are delicious. They are prepared with passion and love. I usually don't think about the fat and the cholesterol, that are normally associated with ingredients like meat and cheese.
M. V.
I have been there many times and the staff is always very friendly and welcoming. The place is cosy and has a nice atmosphere. My favourite pizza from the menu is definitely San Mattia 👍🏼
F. G.
Real tomato passata, genuine mozzarella and fresh dough. What a delicious pizza!
H. R.
Small and cramped restaurant, but their pizzas are loaded and great. A little salty at times. Consider a takeaway if you can eat it at home within 5 minutes. Any longer and they become soggy and the texture is not quite right.
J. J. (.
Delicious, authentic pizza with fantastically quick service. Just make sure you get in early so that you can get a table, although it certainly is worth waiting if you have to.
S. T.
Great pizza! And you can even have it served in the pub next door so the fact that the actual pizzeria is quite small is not a problem anymore.
M. A. G.
Fresh ingredients, sumptuous flavours , good size. This is not your common pizza.
D. H.
Fantastic pizza. This is a busy place and you should be prepared for a wait if hoping for a seat at peak times - but it is well worth it. Service is efficient.
T. S.
Probably the best pizza in London. Authentic handmade pizza. Shop is really small but they own the pub next door now so lots of seating!
T. R.
Great somewhat quirky place. Great selection of wines. Pizza delicious but needed to be hotter. Staff really friendly especially Pamela.
A. B.
Oh such wonderful pizza but we already knew that. Attentive service and good atmosphere a nice bonus. The great surprise were the fries.
C. K. (.
A real italian place. No wonder, I was dragged here by a good friend of mine who is actually Italian. The place is tiny and packed, we were lucky to get a table in the back room. Food however is spectacular, and the amout of Italian people dining here tells a lot about the place. Make sure to order buffallo mozzarella with your pizza (costs a little extra) and try the home made to-die-for Tiramisu.
A. R.
Great pizza offset by tetchy management and slightly morose staff - they refused to take a drinks order while I was waiting about four minutes for my friend to arrive, and we were then hurried out of the restaurant after eating. The food is good but the uppity attitude is not appreciated.
S. D. P.
Per me è ufficialmente l'ambasciata Napoletana in UK! OK... a parlarne mi è venuta fame mannaggia 'o pataturc!
You should know I'm really demanding about Italian food (specially Neapolitan, since I'm from Naples) and Pizzas. I went to the Pizzeria Santa Maria, in Ealing (London) and I didn't want to go away anymore... Their pizza is the best I ever ate in England and is even better than many pizzas I have eaten in Naples. The ingredients are so fresh and tasty that they touched my heart as I'm a nostalgic person. In my opinion it's officially the Naples embassy in UK! OK.... taking about it makes me be hungry, damn 'o pataturc!!!
N. o. c.
Amazing fresh and authentic pizzas. Got before by delivery(which was still excellent) but when you go to the restaurant it's that much better.
J. s.
Ive been going since 2014, ive been bringing friends and they've started taking their friends. Great napolitan pizza with a nice vibe!
A. T.
Great!! Big portions and reasonable prices.
The place itself is slightly away from the Ealing Broadway commercial centre. There are both indoor and outdoor tables that would be nice to sit around on a nice weather.
Staff was very friendly.
S. B.
Heard so much about this place so decided to give it a try the pizzas were alright but I didn't think they were anything overly amazing. T the pizzas bars could of been crisper found them a little soggy, the search continues
M. R.
One of the first real Neapolitan pizzerias that was opened in west London. They are still making very good pizza and probably still one of the best in London.
B. A.
Very small place, but the pizzas are excellent! A very private atmosphere in the end. This place does take away as well, and we did that when we've been there, as we were too many.
A. E.
Pizza was amazing, staff really friendly.
S. Q.
Its the best place to go and get a pizza, friendly staff and quick service. The food is amazing. Love pizza again
A. S.
Great Italian pizzeria.
The pizza is made in perfect Italian style, unfortunately the restaurant is very small and you need to wait a while for a chair.
M. M.
The place is quite small but the pizza is superb! Really Italian, one of my favourite!
S. P.
A cosy lil set up with beautifully baked pizzas, perfect for the folks in the neighborhood of South/West Ealing. Slightly expensive but definitely great food!
J. E.
Best pizza in the world. Never have been able to find a better place. Can only be recomended.
C. V.
It's true, here you will find the best pizza in London! Fresh ingredients and good variety of pizzas :) will visit again for sure, thank you!
J. S. L.
Great great pizza in quite original Italian taste and style with kind and passion staff, we enjoyed the moment a lot though the space is quite small.
R. C.
This place is good, but I think it's over rated. I wish I could give 3.5 (that's basically 7/10) but I don't want to round up to 4. It's supposed to be the best in Ealing but I felt some flavours just didn't combine so well, and the sauce base could have been a bit brighter and fuller. Still good, and would consider going again
H. F.
It's great. Pizza tastes nice. Although once I ordered pizza and they just threw the box at me and didn't even slice it for me...
A. P.
Amazing, good quality pizza. I would recommend this place to anyone.
C. T.
Nice place with great pizza.
It's popular so it can take a while to get seated and, as expected, when very busy the pizza takes a while to arrive.
T.
Good service, but who cares? This is the best pizza you can eat in London and probably the country.
