Loved this place! Great changes since the previous version of the restaurant on this site. Staff were incredible and very attentive. Despite the venue being very busy, you still felt like you were the only one in the venue when it came to attention by the staff. The décor and ambience was relaxing, tasteful and incredibly comfortable. The menu was fantastic! Very simple and not overloaded as some Italian restaurants can be. It tasted very authentic and hit the spot in every way so compliments to the kitchen and menu curators I’d say one of the best Italian restaurants in the area I would highly recommend this venue if you’re in the area.

The food we had there was just ok. From the best to the worst 1. Tortelli (those little dumplings) delicious, tender, perfectly cooked 2. Steak cooked as ordered with nice salsa on top but chickpea chips not so good. 3. Focacia 4. Chocolate cake - too sweet. For this price i expected something more.

Super friendly welcome and great Italian family restaurant near Marble Arch/Oxford Street. Lovely looking restaurant and bar with outdoor tables to enjoy a lunch or on a summer evening. While a small menu it has a good selection of antipasti, pizza, pasta and large plates so good to mix and match. We enjoyed a plate of Smoked yellowfin tuna served with celery & caperberries and a plate of sliced Octopus with chickpeas and grilled fennel while having cocktails of Watermelon & Basil Collins and an Amalfi Coast 0% cocktail which was Pineapple, lime, agave and passionfruit For mains we tried the fresh Turbot served with Italian spinach, fresh peas and bottarga. My dish was the medium rare Dry-aged ribeye, with fresh borlotti beans, a roasted ‘bull’s heart’ tomato and topped with a delicious salsa verde. Sides were very filling which were roasted potaotes and a green salad. My favourite dish was the Pistachio tiramisu which was light and moreish. Overall a great local Italian restaurant with friendly service to celebrate or catch up with friends.

I visited the Italian Greyhound a few weeks ago with a friend. We each had our own starter, mine was burrata, hers prosciutto, and had foccia to share. I had a gin based drink and it was good. For our main, we split the "large" portion of ravioli. The pasta was amazing, however the "large" was only 7 ravioli total. Personally, I could consume that amount for elevensies, let alone a main meal. For the price, it was not worth it. I suggest they set expectations with customers on the size (looking around others seemed confused by this as well). I get that the pasta is handmade and fancy but a girls got to eat ya know. Additionally, if you're in the range of around 167cm tall the chair backs are the perfect height to crack your back. The decor was nice also with large big windows to let in a breeze on a warm day.

Where does one start? Staff, food, presentation, cleanliness, atmosphere, I honestly can continue Myself and my misses had reserved a table for 6pm Monday and we were greeted by the reception lady with a warm welcome. Table was shown and my misses even had her jacket taken to be stored. A pleasant feeling and service you do not really get nowadays. Food was exceptional. The menu has a huge array of options from proper Italian pizza to pasta dishes plus more and I mean MORE. Presentation was beautiful and very filling. The staff were very friendly and made sure all our expectations were met with smiles and banter. It felt effortless communicating with all staff and even the owner who was a delight to meet. Marcello you absolute legend! Don't get me started on the overall decor of this beautiful restaurant. Myself and my misses have been to different parts of Italy and you really get that real Italian vibe. From the exterior of the restaurant to the interior design. Just incredible. We thoroughly enjoyed eating here and will be visiting again. Thank you everyone at Bernardi's :)

Had a lovely solo meal here. Great menu and great ambiance. All the dishes sounded so good, was very conflicted on what to order but I saw the salmon with risotto and had to get it. I might come back to try the pastas if I have the time! Does get a bit pricey, expect £40 pounds for a glass of wine, entree, side. Booked through open table for 25% off!

Very nice little place. I was meeting a friend for brunch and she was running late. The people were very nice and still sat me allowed me to wait on my friend before I ordered anything, even though my friend would be an hour late and I offered to give up the table. They said it was fine. I forgot to take a picture of the food but the Eggs Benedict was very good as was the latte. Really enjoyed this place and will be back.

Ok place but weird service. Starters were 15 minutes apart. They also cleared half our tables plates during the main course leaving half of our table eating and half with nothing! Food ok but nothing special. Very expensive for what you get.

Got seated pretty quickly, the waiter rapidly asked what we would like to order for drinks however we were not ready that quickly. We did not get given the drinks menu, which we then had to ask for. Waiter was trying to speak over the table when he should of gone around the table to ask for people's orders. Our drinks arrived and shortly after ordered our food, again the waiter tried to speak over the table. The foods presentation was nice, had to add salt to a few dishes. Overall the food had good taste. Disappointed when my plate got taken away, I did not set my folk and knife to show I have finished my meal, only had around two mouth fulls left! Would recommend to all.

food was ok but nothing great. its was too expensive for what we got! fetuccini was quite bland. pork ragu pasta was ok. desserts however are very nice and delicious. staff come across as a bit rude and they were not very helpful providing info on food. overall ok experience but I doubt I'd ever come back.

Always a pleasure to dine there whether solo at the bar or with friends. The food portions are correctly sized, and the staff are incredibly attentive and friendly. Surprisingly for London the prices are also affordable, perhaps not for everyday dining, but certainly for a lovely meal out. A fantastic staple of the area.

Sat outside and had drinks and snacks. The snacks were really good and bearing in mind that we'd already had dinner somewhere else, we shouldn't have been ordering second helpings but we couldn't help it. The cocktails were nice and we had a lot of wine too. They've got some nice whites and if you order a carafe rather than a bottle it's not so dear (unless the bottles are oversized from usual, we didn't check). I'd definitely revisit.

Went for the Express menu, 2 courses at £19 per person. Had the cod crostini to start followed by the sea bass. Good service, we were asked three times in the first ten minutes if we had a chance to look at the menu, which is good and didn’t feel rushed at all. The welcome host could have offered a more friendly welcome but, oh well, the food and service made up for it. Lunch reservation was at 1pm and we were out the door by 2pm.

Went here for a fancy family dinner. The food is good, especially if you eat everything, though the vegetarian options are pretty limited. The desert was excellent. Just the service puts a dampner on the whole experience. The staff is abrupt and pretty rude. They rushed us through our meal and kept clearing up the table during our meal, interrupting our conversation. They didn't ask us about the meal, offered no suggestions and when we said we weren't ready to order or mains our waitress actually made a face. For such an expensive restaurant, I expect a much better quality of service.

The place down the street was too full and after checking out the menu for Bernardi's I decided to give it a try. The drinks were dynamite from the start. The crab risotto was excellent. Really enjoyed the Sea Bass- it is often difficult to find a fish dish that really makes you jump, but this proved to be the exception. Sea bass skin was crispy but not overly so, and fish was fresh. The desserts, especially the mousse, were also one of the best I've had in London. Reasonably priced food. Also greatly appreciated the attentive service staff who were patient in explaining wine pairings. Will be back for more and am excited for the bright future of Bernardi's.

After highly recommend by a friend, my girlfriend and I decided to give it a try. The moment we walked in, we were received by friendly staff with lovely smile. We were settled at a lovely table, ordered champagne and a beautiful evening began. We love the ambiance, it’s elegant but not pretentious. It just gives you a comfortable feeling. Although the place was quite full and busy, it wasn’t noisy at all and we could talk and listen to each other comfortably. After a moment, Marcello came over to explain the menu. He was so helpful and recommended a few signature dishes. In fact, we took all his recommendations. We chose a lovely white wine from Sardinia to go with our seared tuna which was just perfect. Food all arrived in a timely manner. The burrata was amazing, apparently it was just arrived from Puglia. The pizzetta is a great idea so you can try more different things. The yellow fin tuna was so fresh and the portion was generous. The staff was very attentive. Later we found out that Marcello is actually one of the founder. We felt so special and thought it was such an enjoyable dinner. We will definitely be back soon.

We went to Bernardi's for a brunch on a Sunday - myself, partner and baby girl. The staff were really welcoming and friendly and got us a lovely table with a high chair for bub. The food was DELICIOUS, with a gorgeous Italian twist on egg classics. The atmosphere was relaxed and after a few cocktails we found ourselves staying on to sample to lunch menu..which was incredible! We shared some pizette and starters... the buratta was the creamiest I have ever had. Can't recommend enough - we will be back.

Beautiful surroundings and great menu choice. You will be spoilt for choice. Food always delicious and great balance of flavours. Staff always willing to help and make the experience as enjoyable as possible. Corner seats are by far the best seats to pick (if they have space) and only opt for an outside spot in the sunshine if you don't mind the traffic noise.

Really lovely food, great service. Sitting outside in the sun is always nice. I highly recommend the pear cocktail which was incredible! I don't recommend the smoked burrata, it was a bit too salty and you lost the nice creaminess of the burrata which is kind of the whole point.

Just got home from a great night at Bernadi’s. I went to catch up with friends and the service could not have been more friendly or welcoming. The restaurant in terms of decor and ambience is impressive but the service makes you feel like family. Add to that some truly delicious dishes, including truffled ricotta and a beautiful buratta with blood orange and you are on to an absolute winner and that’s just the starters. Could not recommend this place more highly! Given I can’t spell buratta the g&t’s are also a revelation! 😉

Visited this stunningly decorated new restaurant with a friend last night. After starting at the bar with a perfectly made Martini we were shown to our table where were shared a series of delicious dishes from the simple but creative menu. The fish crudo and pork collar were particularly good, and the bottle of Nebbiolo from Piedmont which we drank was superb. What stood out the most though was the service, which was absolutely impeccable and on a par with London's best. I will definitely be back.

Italian restaurant Bernardi's impressed me with beautiful, tasty food and outstanding, friendly staff. Would I go again? Of course! When I arrived at Bernardi's in Marylebone, just off Edgware Road, on a Saturday evening, the place already was fairly busy. The very friendly guy at the door checked the bookings and went out of his way to find me a spot - although just for an hour. Still, after being sent away by another new, French restaurant that did not even check the bookings, I highly appreciated the effort. I like the style, Bernardi's is a beautiful, light, modern restaurant with a simple design that pleases the eye. After settling down at a nice table in the corner, I browsed through the wine list. I was looking for a white wine, and the waiter asked a few questions and then recommended the 2014 Verdeca, "Askos" Masseria Li Veli Apulia. Not a bad choice - it was probably a bit too fruity or sweet for my palate, but the slight minerality made it still enjoyable, just as the waiter had told me. Not long after my wine arrived, a basket of thin crunchy Italian flatbread with something like a tomato, parmesan and basil dip came along. I appreciate a good slice of soft bread, but those crispy bites were also a great way to start a meal and bridge the time until the first course of the evening was ready. I had ordered the burratina antipasti with heritage beetroot, almonds and basil. The dish looked stunning, bright colours - green, red, yellow - beautifully arranged around the white cheese with finely sliced almonds sprinkled across the plate. All components individually tasted nice and fresh, forming a delicious symphony of flavours when combined. The burratina was smooth and soft, the funny heritage beetroots added a refrehsing fruityness with the almonds throwing in some salty texture. I must admit, I wondered about those pieces in different colours on my plate - I soon found out that heritage beetroots come in various colours, a nice touch. My main that evening was tarragon gnocchi with rabbit ragu and pancetta. The plate was hot when it arrived and looked as beautiful as did my antipasti. Recently, I started to appreciate rabbit more and more, it is a light kind of meat with a great taste to it. The only detail marginally impeding the delight was a piece of bone hidden within the ragout - not sure whether that was intentional or not. I also was surprised to see that the gnocchi looked like they were pan-fried. However, I did enjoy the minor crunch effect it added together with the crumble. As with any Italian dish, or anything really, freshly grated parmesan made this course even more tasty than it would already had been without. So far, antipasti and main course were great successes with me. It was probably no easy task to top this with a dessert, and unfortunately, the milk chocolate mousse with hazelnut was somewhat disappointing. I had been hoping for a stronger chocolate flavour. Still, I did like how nice and nutty it was. After a little chat with a lovely Italian waitress, who happens to live in London for five years - just like me - I finished off my dinner with a bitter, Italian espresso. Not my favourite style of coffee, but I guess what people expect at an Italian restaurant. If you ask me, Bernardi's in Marylebone is a great restaurant delivering on flavour and service. Next time, I should also try one of their cocktails.
