Reviews of The Red Pepper
A. P.
It was amazing experience that I had in this restaurant. I would love to come back many times to have this wonderful pasta and grilled squid. And the Tiramisu is incredible taste that you won’t expect from the other tiramisu.
N. N.
They accommodated us late and the little venue was buzzing with people when we arrived. A massive portion of delicious rosemary & salt foccacia followed by perfect pasta - couldn't have asked for more. Very tasty & lovely atmosphere.

fantastic evening, in a small Italian restaurant, friendly and helpful personsle, excellent menu, I recommend it to anyone who is in the area, I will be back soon ... GOOD GUYS KEEP THE NAME OF ITALY ABROAD

I love the Red Pepper. Food was amazing (we had the burrata, ravioli, tagliatelle and diavola) staff were attentive, brought some friends there and they enjoyed the meal too from starters to mains to dessert (tiramisu was to beautifully done in their own way). Homely, cosy place. Didn't expect much from house wine but it was a decent glass of wine.
J. H.
Great food! my favorite places to have pizza and tiramisu.

Amazing spot in the heart of Little Venice area! Very nice Italian food. I discovered The Red Pepper and I can say that they are making the best pizza in the area!! It s fairly small so the atmosphere is quite quiet.
PS : staff is very gentle and available every time, the manager of the restaurant is a funny lovely very kind person!!! Highly recommended!!!
C. A.
Delicious food, warm staff, very cosy atmosphere, can’t wait to go back!
T. H.
Best pizza ever and great staff.

Always come here for good food in a romantic restaurant. There was a special ravioli with truffle sauce they did last year which I wish was on the menu permanently. One if the nicest pasta's I've ever had. You can't really go wrong with food here. Waiting staff aren't always friendly but the food more than makes up for it.
K. A. B.
One of the best pizza place in London🤍 Highly Recommended🤍
J. R.
This is our favourite Italian restaurant in London. The food is authentic and delicious, and the place has a welcoming and homely feel. The wine selection is very good and the staff are well-versed in making good suggestions. The pizzas are great and the homemade pasta is a cut above the usual fare. Definitely worth a visit.
M. T.
Years ago I was often taken here by my mum and dad, I always remembered it being amazing. Today was no exception . Date night with my husband and we had a lovely meal, bruschetta was delicious and my pizza was awesome. Beautiful local restaurant!
A. H.
Wow these guys are great. The food is delicious and the menu a bit different to the usual Italian restaurants. A bit more delicately balanced, delicious and substantial. The wine list is great too, and the service extremely friendly. You really can't go wrong here.
F. Y.
Cosy Italian restaurant serving pizza and pasta. The menu is small but high quality. The service is always friendly. The place seems to be popular with locals. On busy nights (Friday and Saturday) you may want to book ahead as the restaurant can fill up quickly.
L. S.
One of my favourite restaurants in London. I have been here many times and have always found the food to be of exceptional quality (particularly the antipasti, the homemade pasta dishes, and pizza). When paired with one of their eclectic Italian wines this makes for a perfect treat. The staff are attentive and very friendly and always have made me and my guests feel welcome.
A. J.
best experience ever amazing food and pizza higly recomended
S. K.
Great food and service. They were very accomodating to me and ensuring my food was vegan. 10/10!
S.
Ok restaurant but nothing special. Very busy on a Thursday evening so booking is recommended. Polite and friendly service. As others have said pasta portions are tiny for £13! Food was pleasant but I've certainly had better pasta (Panella in Ladbroke Grove) and better pizza (Franco Manca).
d. w.
RP is a great pasta/pizza place with even better Italian specials on the blackboard. Excellent wine list, and friendly staff. I'm a regular despite not being local, it's worth the trip.
D. G.
An amazing culinary treat! My Italian friend took me otherwise I would never have realised. Wonderful Italian food and wine at good prices. Personal and unobtrusive service. The best Tiramisu I ever tasted and a seafood scialiatielli to die for! If you can't get to Italy, this is the next best thing.

I went with my family in the evening of the 28th Dec 2018. The restaurant is clean, staff is courteous, the service is prompt and good. All five of us got our pizzas straight out of the hearth at the same time so we could all eat at the same time. We had the pizzas Edwin, Crudo. All of us unanimously thought Edwin won hands down (easily!). We watched the pizza chef flipping the dough into the air and saw our pizzas being cooked! I thought it was very exciting. I was 100% satisfied. The price was very reasonable. I got a massive pizza for only £13 (+£2 for extra toppings). Bon appetito! Grazie!
P. P.
Brilliant food and great service! This is not close to where we live but it's become a regular for us given the quality of the food. All those who work there are very attentive which means your guaranteed great service. It's a small setting but homely feel to it. Definitely a new favourite for me and my better half.
G. B.
The Red Pepper is a good Italian restaurant, but nothing special. Food tastes fine, but it was very crowded, narrow and busy when I was there.
Actually, I was a bit disappointed, perhaps because I had a very delicious pizza somewhere else just a few days before...
I guess it's not really the kind of restaurant you really enjoy just being there. But it's okay if you're hungry and want some average Italian food.
e. l.
It is a great local italian classic simple food. A great pizza like in Naples fresh products warm welcome and service. Definitely will visit this place again and again.
P. V.
Went at 4.30 Sunday on my own as have struggled to get a table at normal lunch or dinner times since the first time I just wandered in luckily and randomly. One of the best meals I've had in years. And I've had a lot. Octopus salad and sardine papardelle. Highly recommended. Excellent house wine too.
T. K.
The best pizza and fastest service in the Red Pepper
A. B.
Although the reviews still seem to be variable, I remember this place of old and still think it is one of the best Italian places north of the river. The pasta (beef ragu) was tasty and the tiramisu was to die for! That recipe has not changed and is still the best tiramisu in London (at least!). They do a mean negroni - great stuff.
In contrast to the other reviews, I found the service incredibly swift. As a person eating alone, I was placed downstairs, which was obviously less scenic - but had no reservation. By the time I left, the upstairs was full.
I would recommend a reservation when sitting upstairs, but otherwise think this is still a good bet.
M. J.
Friendly and fast service. Delicious food. Limited options due to lockdown but focusing on fewer items and making sure they're done right is a great approach
R. M.
Great food, nice atmosphere. :) will come again
D. K.
Excellent pizza, great staff
J. M.
Great local restaurant. If you live in the neighbourhood you should definitely visit it at least once. However let me warn you - avoid busy hours, because the place is really small and it gets crowded really fast. Delicious Italian food and excellent service what more could you ever want ?
S. M.
Red Pepper is an excellent Italian restaurant in Maida Vale. The pizzas are really nice. The downstairs is a bit more cosy but can be noisy. I prefer to sit there as the upstairs is a bit cramped with tables too close. Really good service. Oh, make sure you try their tiramisu - probably one of the best I have had.
J. W.
The best local restaurant in Warwick Avenue. Space is short though so make sure to book in advance. Pizzas are well worth the takeaway as well - and a tiramisu if you're spoiling yourself.
W. L.
Linguine alle vongole is my litmus test for a good italian restaurant. I had exactly that and it tasted good. Not the best that I have tried but it was a tasty dinner. We had antipasto to start and wine and beer all round. Bill came up to about £28 each. Good local dinner place.
J. D.
Truly excellent local Italian. Great takeaway pizza (even if you have to collect) done in a proper woodfired oven.
R. W.
A small venue which was certainly cramped however the wine was good and the pizza simply superb.
S. H.
Great place that offers lots to munch on. The pizzas are prepared in an wood fired oven so they are delicious and the dough - thin and crispy. Just the way I like it.
D. R.
I agree with the 3s and 4s reviewed before but edged a 4 just. Pizza was great value was even better, service was friendly if slightly Italian in its pace. Yes it is very cramped but nothing to put you off. Wouldn't go out my way to go back but definitely would pop in if I was in the area.
G. G.
Great pizzas and pastas, very reasonably priced and very cosy setting. Chairs are rather uncomfortable so not a place to have a long meal, more of an in and out place.
A. V.
house wine wasn't good . starters were ok. we had the fiorentina steak 35 quid which was a pretty average cut. dinner for 2 around 60 quid. wouldn't write home about it.
A. B.
Great restaurant with friendly staff and lovely Italian food
C. L.
This is my husband and I's favourite neighborhood restaurant. The pizzas are very good, but the Ragu is especially delicious!
S. G.
Amazingly tasty pizza. Lovely, quiet place to spend time with a family
L. C. D. L. C. C.
the food is ok. some fresh pasta dishes are tasty but very small portions the service is not great.
M. A.
My favourite Italian restaurant, you got to try it
M. H.
Inventive starters, wood - fired oven pizzas and outstanding tiramisu. Outstanding rapport prix qualité for any part of London.
J. H.
Surprisingly good pizza for the price, love their stuffed crust, much less greasy than pizza huts.
A. M.
Authentic Italian food. Simply great. As an Italian it's one of the only Italian restaurants in London I keep going back to.
F. R.

I. G.
Delicious food. One of the best places in Little Venice
F. G.
The staff were gracious and helpful, and the pizzas and house-made gnocchi were quite good.
L. L.
Quality neighbourhood Italian, nice atmosphere for all (couples/family etc) and consistently good service
P. M.
Average food, but with good service. A bit overpriced
J. H.

(Translated) The atmosphere is that of a real Italian restaurant. A varied menu with typical specialties especially of northern cuisine. Vitello Tonnato outstanding and fresh pastas absolutely to try. The Main Courses change daily with a very careful eye on the quality and freshness of meat, fish and vegetables. I highly recommend the crab salad and the sliced beef. The wood oven gives the pizza a unique taste, I have never eaten such a good and easily digestible pizza in London. In my opinion and many other regular customers, Red Pepper has been making the best Tiramisu in the British capital since 1994. Lastly, the selection of wines they offer ranges from north to south with very interesting wineries, even if they are not too well known.
Here the team is warm, friendly and professional, an experience not to be missed in west London.
Long live good Italian food.
