Ate here for the first time in many many years. Now a contemporary room serving fantastic traditional food using well sourced ingredients. Lovely friendly staff topped off a very enjoyable impromptu lunch.

The food and drinks were very good indeed, let down by confused service and lack of atmosphere in the evening. Would return for a cocktail but probably not bother with the dining room.

attentive service. intriguing touches like pickled rhubarb with the smoked eel. some english delights on the wine list. i had lancashire cheese omelette and chips, which is not fancy, but spot on for delicious comfort food. "would you like ketchup?" enough said.

An elegant dining room with the most excellent service. Halibut was perfectly cooked as was the Dover sole and presented perfectly. Definitely worth another visit.

Quite a solid option for an upmarket dinner or lunch in an area with very few alternatives, although a bit on the pricey side once wine comes into the picture. Staff are very helpful.

Went with expectation but was really let down by the food. Under-seasoned and dry duck meat which didn't go with the garnish at all. The lemon meringue was really heavy. Three stars because of the ambiance and good service - the staff there were very attentive and friendly, despite the food being very disappointing.

A very sophisticated Restaurant and Menu. For those who appreciate classic style with excellent service in quiet and elegant surroundings. The menu offers different dishes that not only have a delicious taste but are presented by Chefs who take pride in their masterpieces.
