Favourite local restaurant. Always serves the freshest food. The grills are very tasty. Customer service is very friendly. Restaurant is very clean including toilet facilities. Its a very lovely relaxing restaurant. I've been here over 5 times in the past 6 months. Probably my visit will increase. Top quality food that doesn't break your bank. Definitely one of the best in this area.

Positives: Tasty food. Simple elegant interior. Good variety of foods to choose from on the menu. Decent pricing. Good service. Negatives: Seating is too close together. When busy it can be very noisy. Not recommended for families at peak hours.

No idea why there are other negative reviews here with one star but this place is by far of the best restaurants in and around whitechapel. Much better than the over rated tayyabs or the like. Food is authentic, priced well and of good quality. If you look at how bad things have become over the years in brick lane you will appreciate the quality of this place. I eat here frequently as the food is consistent

I had my sons nikah party there for 45 people on Friday evening. In such a short notice I booked the place and food. The food was freshly cooked on the day and everything looked and tasted beyond my expectation. Service was fantastic perfect venue for small events, very spacious and friendly staff. I’d defiantly recommend to try it your self all my guest was happy with the food served and the service given was outstanding. Thank you for great service.

Very welcoming staff and a lovely decor to the place. The ambience in the place is spot on. The whole Grilled chicken I ordered was brilliant. This is my second visit to Zaza's and my first visit under the new management. As you would expect with any new establishment under new management, they are still trying to find their feet and will have some teething issues. The waiters were helpful and friendly and service was good, but service can be a bit slow. Also, the cutlery and the glasses and water jugs were oily and needed a good clean. Saying that, Raza (one of the new owners) was very welcoming and made every effort to make us feel welcome. The menu is too large and you have too many choices - Raza helped us choose a couple of dishes, which were absolutely spot on. The Karahi Saag Chicken (Spinach) and the Karahi Bhindi Gosht (Okra) were not only tasty, but had a great balance between fragrant and spice. The portion sizes are very generous and we over ordered, which they were more than happy to pack for us to take away. The naan and roti were excellent and piping hot fresh from the oven. The quality and portion sizes are great and reasonably priced and good value in my opinion. The only downside were the toilets which were in a bad state and not very clean, which they said they are in the process of fixing. Also, the music can be a bit too loud and it gets very smoky at times. These things can be easily fixed and when they do, they will have a very good establishment.

Genuinely tasty food with a variety of dishes that you can tell were made fresh. I especially enjoyed the kebab and samosas that we had for starters but their main dishes were also excellent. Great place for parties and eating out and the staff showed us hospitality and were really friendly. Excited to visit Zaza’s again!

Not the great place to be but customer service was good. Spent over 40 pounds for the curries, rice, lassi, nan and starters. Rice felt like it was old rice washed away with water and it had a smell to it and didn't seem fresh to me. Rice should be dry fresh and fluffy. Chicken karahi was good and the vegetable karahi. I do feel disappointed as I wasted over 40 pounds. Should have bought chips and grill food instead. We was wondering the restaurant is so quiet on saturday evening.

When we read the reviews on google, we were very curious about this wonder full place. We weren't disappointed. The food is honest, fresh and delicious. We had the tasting menu with fresh fruit juice. It's never nice to leave a restaurant feeling like you have top of the world. Here the portions were the right size. Enough to fill you up. The food had some wonderful flavours, loved the mix grill, but everything else was great too. The staff was very friendly and attentive to our wishes. We'll definitely return.

I have been twice to Zaza's which is near my son's university (QMUL). Friendly staff and freshly prepared tasty food. The family who run the place are from Faisalabad and there are plenty of local specialities you won't find in other curry houses. Prices are also very reasonable for London - worth a trip from the City, only 15 mins on a hire bike. The only slight downside is they don't serve alcohol, but given many of their customers come via the massive mosque next door that probably doesn't bother most of their clientele.

We always come back here! Zaza's offers a tasty experience of Indian/ Pakistani food. The dishes are tastier than some other well known restaurants in the area and the service is always excellent. Would recommend for small and larger groups looking for tasty Indian cuisine.

Love love love this place. Other than the time the popadoms were stale (and promptly replaced) the food has never ever disappointed. So fresh and delicious and service is friendly. And a BYOB what's not to love. I go there for lunch and evenings and always have delicious food. I'm vegetarian and have the Karahi mixed vegetables, tarka daal and the saag paneer and they are beautiful. Some colleagues have the lamb biryani and really rate it. So much better than Tayaabs round the corner. Yum.

Passed Zaza's many times on my travels but this was the first visit. Birthday party being celebrated by around 25 people on the table in front of us and a scattering of other customers. Waiter apologised for the birthday group but we didn't mind as they were enjoying themselves and weren't too boisterous, it was good to hear people having fun. Only downside was that we joined in singing happy birthday to the young lady but didn't get any cake!! (spoilsport, haha) What stood out the most for me and this is the biggest bonus was that they were all Asian diners and as far as i'm concerned if the locals or indigenous people do not frequent a venue of the same culture then i avoid the place. Having your own culture eating in your restaurant is like an advert in itself to say, the food is good here! Service was quick; we had an delicious lamb curry and mixed grill. Price was similar to other restaurants in the area. The staff were very polite and came over several times to check we were OK. Recommend this restaurant for the food and polite service; we will be coming again!

Really good Indian food! We tried to go to Teyyabs for dinner on a Friday but it was extremely busy, it was quite upsetting as we were fixed on that style of cuisine. Walking through white chapel we couldn't figure out where to eat until we passed Zaza's it wasn't too busy (not sure why) but the food was just as good and the price was about the same. The service was extremely pleasant, unlike our last visit to Teyyabs when they made us move tables 3 times.

People are such babies - this place is great, food is great, service is great - curries were lovely as well as mixed grills, my only tip is get it all at once, not the mixed grill first as you will fill up quickly! The locus of good Vietnamese food is slowly expanding throughout the city, and this friendly restaurent busy on whitechapel road is an enjoyable place to eat. The focus, as the their name lamb chops,mix grill and malaye tikka was very delicious. But there are other highlights on the menu, such as chicken tikka massala and haleem .karahi chicken jalfrazi and dry meat was very nice and delicious.but overall it was a great dinner night and the service was very good as well all staff is very friendly The freshly-blended fruit juices are great, too

(Translated) Excellent meal, we were at the IBUS BUDGET hotel in WHICHAPEL, next to this restaurant, there were 5 of us, quite expensive meal, the bread we were French thought that this was basic bread not this pancake which was very very VERY good ! So we had 5 dishes, without spice for the pars cetais of lamb and mushroom rice, this dish was divine! We took the small or normal size I don't know how and that was more than enough! I couldn't even finish it. On the other hand, beware of the thieves who roam this restaurant, remember to put a hans from your bag under the foot of your chair. The employees were kind enough the problem was that the menus were in Indian and as we were neither Indian nor English, we had difficulty understanding, which made them lose patience. Otherwise very good meal. (Original) Repas excellent, nous étions à l’hôtel IBUS BUDGET de WHICHAPEL, à côté de ce restaurant, nous étions 5, repas assez chère, le pain nous étions français pensions que cetais du pain basic non cetais de là galette qui était très très TRÈS bonne! Nous avons donc pris 5 plats, sans épice pour la pars cetais de l’agneau et du riz au champignon ce plat était divins ! Nous avons pris le format petit ou normal j’en ne sais plaît et ça suffisait largement! Je n’ai même pas pu le terminer. Par contre attention aux voleurs qui rôde dans ce restaurant pensez à mettre une hans de votre sac sous le pied de votre chaise. Les employés était assez gentil le problème était que le menus fut en indiens et comme nous n’etions Ni indiennes ni anglaise, nous comprenions assez difficilement, ce qui leurs faiser perdre patience. Sinon repas très bo.
