So first time here. I ordered the liver pate was really tasty, but not enough bread for the amount of pate and jelly...my son ordered the king prawn starter, was okay but sauce was too salty so he picked prawns out and ate them without the soaked bread and sauce. Now here's the crux. I ordered a carbonara. Which is my favourite and i have ordered 100 times before in various restaurants. This time i was told by the possible owner of the restaurant, that the carbonara has pork. I said yes i know. My son and i are brown. I said i am Sikh. I know Muslims dont eat pork and i can only assume he pointed it out to ME specifically because he thought i dont eat pork. He then went on explaining that oh i like to make sure my customers ate happy and know blah blah blah. I watched people come in after us, order and not have the ingredients clarified for them. I didnt want to make a fuss because my son is only 12 and did not pick up on the clear racism, implying that if we are muslim we cannot eat the dish. Assuming we are muslim because im brown and my son is a haircut sikh. We ate our carbonara which he split into 2 plates as if he was doing us a massive favour (my son and i would just have shared from one bowl, as we had starters and neither of us are big eaters) but ok never mind. I was left with a feeling of unease and after that found it hard to relax. We ate and packed our dessert order, paid and left. I doubt i will go back, which is a shame, because my husband and other 3 children all live very locally and would have liked a good local italian. But as they all look like me and my 12 year old son, i dont want to be given unsolicited advice about what i may or may not be allowed to eat based on my skin colour.

Lovely place we found as somewhere to eat on our way to a show at the Arena. Easy access off the M62. Food delicious, atmosphere and venue modern and fresh and the whole team really friendly. Food amazing. Highly recommended. UPDATE: We'll be going back as we've just booked another show at the Arena. See you again soon.

Food was sooo tasty and service top notch! We ordered prawn linguine and a calzone, both were incredibly tasty. The staff here are so helpful and friendly and really do try their best to accommodate to everyone. The interior is also beautiful and clean. There was a slight mix up with the bill and a few items on there that we never had but this mistake was soon rectified. I look forward to returning :)

My partner and I went for our anniversary, the staff were really pleasant and attentive. Our food arrived really quickly and it tasted absolutely delicious. I had the rigatoni and my partner had the calzone, the beef in the rigatoni absolutely melted in your mouth it was beautiful, the dough on the calzone was so soft and perfectly cooked. My partner drank the house red which he said was the nicest house red he'd had in a long time and I had a Bellini (finally a place that actually knows how to make one!). Thank you to your staff for such a lovely night, the food, the decor, the drinks and the service were perfect.

Real authentic Italian food, gives you the taste as though your on holiday and actually in Italy with its vibrant atmosphere and Italian workers. Italian music in the background gives it that Italian feel also. Prices are very cheap, very affordable and very family friendly, highly recommended and will be going again and cant wait. Tried here for the first time tonight with a group of work mates, there were 8 of us in total, service was fantastic, plenty of choice on the menu and the food was delicious. Go! You won't be disappointed.

The food is all really good. I had risotto which was creamy and moist. The calamari was perfectly cooked and like everything else was served very hot, not always easy with pasta. I'd have given 5stars except it was rather noisy and difficult to hear conversation, also the service was slow, presumably as it was very busy.

We took the mother in-law for her birthday. It was a Sunday and they had Sunday roast on the menu. The roast beef was outstanding. The mother in -law had fillet steak. That to looked absolutely lovely. The whole experience was great and the staff friendly and attentive. Definitely going back to sample that Sunday roast again. If you have not already been it's a must try.

Hi We had a lovely meal on Saturday night, there was six of us, however the music is far to loud, listening to Jazz all night was depressing (unless your a jazz fan). Please, Please, Please turn the Music down or change the station at least, Jazz music for 2 1/2 hours at full blast is a challenge. Food great!

Lovely Italian restaurant, run by genuine Italians who give it a great feel, top spot outside too 'Al Fresco' at its best! My first time and we'll be going back for more post work eats! Only downside was being reminded of the football result... after we'd paid the bill!

Busy and extremely noisy with a couple of large parties when we ate. Unfortunately this meant that our table felt crammed in rather tightly and while I've read good reviews of their service our experience was below average and barely acceptable for which the manager apologised when they finally were able to find our bill, again making us wait several minutes. The food itself very tasty however. I particularly enjoyed the funghi crostini starter. The Italian Sauvignon Blanc was not our first choice as they were out of Cortese but it was actually very good. We waited a bit too long for starters and an age for our main courses. Then, having been offered pepper, had to wait while the waiter went to clear tables, serve someone else and proceed to give them pepper forgetting us at the next table! My seafood linguine special was pleasant and full of a variety of shellfish and squid. A few of the mussels were a bit gritty but overall it was good if not outstanding. My wife's pizza was very good. It might be worth another visit.

Last time we came here was when it was sapporitos, We decided to give it a go after checking it out and it seemed a lovely place so we made a res for a table for 5. We we're greeted by a very smart courteous member of staff who showed us to our table we were given menus and told what specials were on for that night . We had our drinks order taken and brought to us. After 10 mins we were asked what we would like I had chicken with mushrooms and a White cream sauce and I must say was absolutely lovely and chilli and garlic broccoli, also ordererd by the family was the chicken milanese, spagboll, penne pasta ,carbonara. It definitely got the thumbs up from the family the food great the service was great the restraunt is great and the staff are great . We will definitely go back it really is great place to go for Italian cuisine who needs town when this is on you're door step . Thanks to all at Babbo Cucina Italia . Andy M and Family

Went last Saturday, first visit and we did not know what to expect, so were very pleased with just about everything, really happy we have somewhere local to go for good food, atmosphere, friendly staff, nice decor and fairly priced, could have a few more wines at mid level prices on the list as the only one we fancied was £32. However that was very good so only a minor comment. Happy to recommend and have done so to friends, well done, welcome to the neighbourhood and we wish you every success. Jackie and Mark.

Nine of us went for a family lunch today. Staff were friendly, patient and helpful. Food was brilliant, with a good selection of drinks. Would recommend the Rhubarb G & T. The inside is really contemporary and looks stunning. The staff were really pleasant. It wasn't particularly busy at lunchtime, only 4 tables, and as a result we didn't wait long for the food. The three of us had a mix of pizzas and pasta dishes and they were all good sized portions which were absolutely delicious and obviously cooked fresh and to order. After the delicious mains we had to have desserts which again were delicious. One of us did order panna cotta which we were then told hadn't quite set. But actually that's positive feedback.... At least it's freshly made on site and not bought in so we were happy to try something else and they were again all delicious. My only niggle on the desserts is the finesse. There was so much cocoa powder and icing sugar dusted over the plate that it covered up the desserts and plates and just looked like a giant brown mess on the plate. And all 3 desserts came out like that. So they looked a mess but tasted great. If some shapes / templates had been used to dust only parts of the plate or the plate had been dusted before the desserts were put on the plate it would've looked so much better. But that's a minor niggle. Price is really reasonable for good quality fresh food that tastes great. If definitely go again and can't wait to see what the evening atmosphere is like.

Food we had delicious but I was a bit disappointed there was no veggie lasagne or spinach and ricotta cannelloni. Mind you these dishes don't seem to be served now in Italian restaurants - are they now "old hat"? Pity.

Had a lovely meal in a nice cool environment today, we go to this place regularly the only criticism form me is the food (I mean everything so far we had here) is far too salty, in a way that leaves your throat burning for hours afterward and you would need bottles and bottles of water as it leaves you really thirsty, which it is a shame as the food apart from being salty is nice.

I passed by and was attracted by the £5.95 lunch menu. I had a Calabrese pizza, large glass of house white, and an espresso. The food was lovely (ask for chilli oil if you like), well made pizza. Really impressed with the decor, furniture, cutlery and glassware. The service was perfect - discreetly attentive, professional yet friendly, and had the Italian feeling of family or famiglia. Looking forward to going again!

An impressive Italian Restaurant. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. The food I ordered was very good, the customer service was very good. The restaurant was clean and tidy. The decor is also very nice. Plenty of free parking immediately outside the restaurant. The prices are reasonable and there is a cheap lunch time offer at the moment. Peroni or Moretti beer is served here. And the coffee is Lavazza. Definitely worth giving this place a try. I will certainly be eating at Babbo’s again.

We’ve been many times in Saporito, the food was of a good standard and there was a very nice atmosphere. We were curious what changed under the new name. What I can say the menu has been almost unchanged and quality of dishes that we ordered leaves a lot to wish for, pizza base was very dry, fillet steak was ok, truffled mushroom souse did not have much flavour and roasted potatoes were uneatable. tiramisu was just ok but not as delicious comparing with what was served before . The Waiter said that the uneatable side dish will not be added to the bill, but it was add. The previous interior decor was more cozy. All these little things affect the overall view. Maybe we were just unlucky.....? The staff was friendly and apologetic but overall we were disappointed.

Literally the best restaurant in Prestwich, plenty of parking spaces so no problem worrying about that, food is exceptional and real value for money, ordered fillet steak for £18 and the best I’ve had for a while, struggled eating it all, garlic bread with cheese and tomato for starter and bowl of delicious olives, so tasty and fresh. My wife had spaghetti bolognese really meaty and top ragu, house wine was delicious and staff really nice, nothing too much trouble, really great ambience. Going back tonight but having takeaway instead of eating in, the food is quality, you can tell straight away the ingredients are the best.
