We hosted my sister’s Baby Shower over the weekend at L’Aquila. We had a private dining room and there were 27 of us in total. The room was lovely and available to us to set up a few hours earlier. The service was amazing, all of the staff couldn’t do enough for us. And the food was amazing, all came out at the same time and was hot. We had a set menu but there were plenty of options. I would definitely recommend L’Aquila and we can’t wait to go back in two weeks for one of our friend’s Baby Shower’s.

Visited regularly now since the restaurant opened, tried many dishes from seafood, steaks and pasta and has been consistently of a high standard as is the wine list and cocktails, we also attended with a large party on a busy Saturday night in December, the restaurant was full with many large parties and I have to say the service and quality was still exceptional, which speaks volumes of the place. Always a warm welcome too from fabulous, attentive staff and a lovely family.

Visited on Tuesday evening to celebrate my husbands birthday and decided on L'Aquilla as it had been recommended to us. We were not disappointed. We received a warm welcome and shown to our table. The service was friendly efficient and not over bearing. The decor was very tasteful and the seating extremely comfortable. My husband said his pizza was the nicest he's ever had and my risotto was delicious too. Very reasonably priced and we are looking forward to our next visit. Can recommend this lovely restaurant.

Wow! The food here is amazing, we went for the first time and it was so good we went again the next night. Highly recommend the steak Al pepe, and the meatball starter. Staff were very friendly and extremely welcoming, the food was well prepared and seasoned. Cannot wait to go again, our new favourite Italian restaurant!

Visited here as soon as we could as its only a 5min walk from our house and we were intrigued to see what they had done with the old pub. We were not disappointed, the place looked beautiful inside. The food matched, traditional old school Italian menu. We enjoyed the scallops to start, then I had the prosciutto and mushroom pizza, followed by tiramisu for dessert. The pizza was delicious, lovely thin dough and fresh toppings. Also enjoyed a latte with my tiramisu, very good coffee. Service was excellent and we'll definitely be back.

Best Italian restaurant I’ve ever been and I’ve been a few. Can’t wait to go back here. Food and service was quality. Recommend the fillet steak and the king prawns starter both unreal. While in the restaurant was asking the owner Eddie about my upcoming 40th birthday and how best to book and when. The man was so professional and friendly. I honestly can’t speak highly enough of this place which isn’t like me as I usually find something to moan about 😂

Not a fan of their pics, but the pasta is alright. The others I've been with didn't mind the pizza though, so it might just be my tastes. They're happy to customise and the service is generally prompt. Works well for both small and large groups (I've gone with around 15 people, not sure how much space they have if you want to go much larger).

One of the best meals I’ve had in such a long time. The food was absolutely delicious, piping hot and really generous portions. The staff were all amazing, went above and beyond their service. Omg! Can’t praise it enough! Only mentioned in passing conversation, it was a special wedding anniversary and we were presented with a beautiful dessert tiramisu with fresh strawberries and cream courtesy of the staff. I will definitely be returning. Thanks for such an amazing 30th wedding anniversary. And so nice to speak to everyone around us who were local to the area and also had a wonderful evening! X

Visited Laquila with friends, we received a warm welcome from reception and were seated at the bar as our table wasn't quite ready. Once seated drinks and our food order was taken quickly. Excellent food. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Scallops starter was delicious as was our mains of pollo al pepe and pollo al casa (photo). There was a large party so staff did well. A minor complaint would be the mixed olives starter came out after a fairly long wait along with our starters which somewhatdefeated the object. It was, however, a good sized portion with a mix of peppers and corniche so as well as three slices of very tasty warm bread. The restaurant is a nicely decorated space although maybe a little too brightly lit.

Absolutely stunning food every dish is freshly prepared, from pasta to the sauces all made from scratch, the menu is fantastic from starter to maines,the surroundings are plush and nothing is to much for them an amazing very well stocked wine cellar as well as fine brandy and aged whisky every meal is cooked to perfection if you live in or around the prestwich area then the L'Aquila is a must from walking through the door your every wish is caterd for, all the staff are smartly dressed and well groomed this place is a winner make sure you book a table you will not be disappointed.

This has to be one of the best meals I have ever eaten in a great venue. The King Prawn starter and the Lamb shoulder were cooked to perfection. A really great experience celebrating a nephews birthday, they allowed our balloons and a cake and brought the cake in with candles lit. Thanks to all of the staff for a perfect evening.

We visited for the second time last night with children and have to say the standard of the welcome, the menu and service are exceptional. The restaurant was very busy with large and small parties however service was seemless and the food excellent. The children's menu comes with pictures to colour and crayons to keep them occupied while waiting for our food. The staff were also great with the kids. Will definitely visit again.

Only down side was it a little to compact especially with the current pandemic situation and staff didn't wear any face coverings, it did appear to be waiter service only. to be fair though there weren't many people either wearing face coverings whilst entering or leaving the premises. Over £20 for a chicken dish is really unpalatable:( not even town restaurants charge this….. We were very interested in seeing how an old pub we used to go to frequently would be transferred to an Italian restaurant. We were not disappointed, we were a large party, the service was great, all the staff were excellent very polite attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Food was amazing, I had fillet steak which was £30 and it was worth every penny! Not one of our friends were disappointed and said it was a great experience all round. Reasonable prices for quality food and drinks. We will definitely be going back for a second visit. Thank you to all the team at L’Aquila for a good night.

Overall the food was quite nice and the majority of the service was good, however I didn't appreciate being rushed to finish my food after the starter, the waitress could have come over 5 minutes later and it would have been better. It was very expensive, we were definitely shocked for when we got the bill. Music was also a bit too loud felt like everyone was shouting to talk to each other.

Just tried L'Aquila for the first time. Excellent restaurant. Great decor and atmosphere. Great staff, very friendly and excellent service. Calamari was great and the pizza was one of the best I've had. Enjoyed the cocktails, they were great and good value for money as the portions are very generous. My previous favourite Italian restaurant was Croma but L'Aquila is a level above. It was a shame the tiramisu had sold out but I look forward to trying this on a future visit.

Don't know where to start if am honest!! We visited l'aquila tonight and me and my family and just had the most amazing night. The place is beautiful love all the interior and its so clean. The staff are so friendly my 8 year old child love our waiter he asked him for a selfie as he said he's his new friend it just melted our hearts it's very hard to find a place where you can go for a meal with young children so if you are a family with children this is your place to go. Went with my daughter, son in law and wife and what a treat we had. The son in law, who is a good cook, started with the scallops and he said it was the best he's ever had, followed by the veal, again so tasty, my daughter had the chicken, again empty plate, my wife had the sea bass and I had the calzone pizza, absolutely spot on. The service was exceptional, prices good and we enjoyed it that much we will probably return next week, can't wait.

YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED! Take it from me, I wasn't disappointed. From only having spag bol or pizza to being introduced to new Italian dishes, blew my taste buds off my tongue. From the meals, to the touch of Italian music and the comfortable atmosphere the waitering staff provide, it is a beautiful experiences. From not being able to move after eating, my eyes were fixated on the bar. The display of the bar and with the staff making cocktails, to traditional pint pouring or making coffee persuades you keep drinking throughout your stay. It's nothing like Italian restaurants I've been to before and because of that I'll be going back there. Try it out and amaze your taste buds lol ENJOY!

Tonight my wife and I had the pleasure of visiting Prestwich's new Italian restaurant L' Aquila on Bury Old Road. I arrived to be greeted by friendly, helpful staff and the service and food that followed were both absolutely first class. From starter, main course and dessert I could not fault the meal served to us. So much so we both fed our comments back to the staff and Eddie the chef actually came out and spoke with us about our visit.
