What can I say, 5 times to Italy and NEVER found anywhere that does pizza remotely close to the country, until now ! Wow wow wow so delicious, for me the only thing missing was a Ragu. Well done leoncino keep up the great work !!

Brilliant restaurant and a super evening - well recommended! Great service from the welcoming staff in a clean, classy and comfortable setting. Really good quality pizzas with tasty toppings. Only quibble was the spicy options and oils were not particularly hot or spicy. Will visit again!

Delicious food, especially that bruscetta (how do you make tomatoes taste that good?! The chef's a magician). The service was very friendly, and there was a nice homely atmosphere. Good value too - we got 2 starters, 2 pizzas and 2 alcoholic drinks for £50.

It was one of the best spot that I found after a long day. We were starving. We ordered three pizzas: Boscaiola, Trevigiana and Primavera. Children loved them. My 4-yr old ate half of Primavera! Great stone backed dough, and fresh ingredients. We also ordered ice creams. Chocolate and strawberry scoops were very nice, but the pistachio scoop was a bit bitter. We had a great time overall.

If you like authentic Italian pizzas this place is a must for you. Nicely furnished and decorated, Leoncino is located in the centre of Urmston, just a few metres from the station. We were welcomed warmly and invited to sit anywhere we liked (it was a quiet Monday evening when we visited). The menu is small but had a good selection of pizzas to choose from, along with a number of additional toppings. We started with a very light bruschetta, which was nicely sized, followed by two huge pizzas, which were light, freshly prepared, and tasty. The house lager was very nice as well. A very enjoyable meal, and we'll definitely return.

Friendly, authentic, pizzeria. We've only been in the restaurant once but have had many deliveries via shocal. Menu is very pizza heavy, as you would expect, there is not a huge choice of sides or starters but the pizza options are extensive. Taste is good, seemingly quality ingredients are used, and the pizzas are hot and fresh. On our visit to the restaurant the service was prompt, efficient and friendly. A good addition to Urmston's food offering.

I decided for a long time that id rate it below mulinos as in comparison it offers less variety in starters & mains. However I went again tonight and the pizza beat my opinions into the dirt. If you want pizza in Urmston flip a coin between here and mulinos. No loser whichever way the coin falls. It's a blessing to have such a delicious restaurant in walking distance. Only tip is say is decor wise - look more high end ie dark wood etc. The food outmatches the decor 10/1.

This evening was our 4th time eating at Leoncino pizza Romana, the pizza was delicious as always! We travel from Littleborough (Rochdale) to Urmston just for the pizza, and it never fails to impress us. The staff are so friendly; we never feel rushed, great atmosphere, very safe and clean and a good spot in the centre of Urmston. Would really recommend eating here, we'll definitely be back again soon!

I'm no authority on Italian pizza but I know a bit - as the establishment name suggests, this is Roman style pizza, not the currently trendy/popular Neopolitan style. Both quite different and with their own merits, but if you want a quantitative insight then you can ignore the reviews claiming that this is "authentic Italian pizza" as there's no such singular thing. The base is more on the crisp side, and to their credit appears to be cooked in a proper wood-fired oven (not gas fakery). Sauce is also fine, but nothing special. Let down by the toppings - they seemed low quality and not very flavoursome (possible supplier issue?). Overall, certainly not bad, but not amazing either. A decent pizzeria should live and die by its margherita where there's no place to hide with poor ingredients/technique. Service was very friendly but clearly inexperienced - forgivable at the point we visited as they hadn't been open long. Needs to improve in the long run though. Inside was a touch sterile, the lighting needs thinking about (too bright), and something done about the door opening right in to the street - just cm away from diners. Overall it was fine - and we will give it another go - but I'd be wary of the rave reviews calling it "best pizza ever" etc. In my opinion it falls way short of the other Manc options (Rudy's, Double Zero, Honest Crust) and there is even a slightly better option locally (Mulino). However if you really want a decent Roman style pizza I'd struggle to think of anywhere else.

Highly recommend. My partner and I have been coming here since Marco and team opened. We now have two children. The food and atmosphere is as fantastic today as it was when we first came. This is truly a piece of Italy in Urmston.
