I went here for the first time on Friday night, it definitely won’t be the last time. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. I had 2 courses, antipasto, fish course and a pint, couldn’t fit a dessert in as I was too full. My kids had 2 courses, drinks and desert, we also had a garlic bread which we ended off taking home. I would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant, I would advise booking in advance.

This was the first time I've been to Branzino since it changed from the former Boathouse pub and what a transformation. From first entering the place there's a lovely warm friendly atmosphere the restaurant is tastefully decorated with some quirky little touches. The food is of good quality well presented and very tasty. We both went for different chicken options both of which were very good. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for an Italian with a bit of a difference

Went for lunch men which was really good value Lunch menu - bruschetta and potato skins to start, margarita pizza and tagliatelle carbonara for main. Great size portions so had no room for ice cream, not complaining! Lovely and welcoming staff, sat outside and enjoyed the view of the river, will definitely be coming back here 🥰

This place is located right by the river would be awesome during summers to have a meal outside.The ambience is like an old pub but with a little more charm.now the food was amazing we called for a chargrilled steak which was really nice and the peppercorn sauce was to die for it would be great if some mash potatoes were offered in the sides(u get options if chips salad fries) we also ordered some pasta which i cannot recollect the name but it was amazing and the owner or manager was kind enough to ask if we wanted more cheese which was amazing. the staff here are really friendly with a big smile and ready to help anytime.would definitely recommend this place if you craving for a nice steak or some Italian food or if you just want to hang out and have a drink by the river.......your welcome ,😋

Just been for a late Sunday dinner with the family. The pork belly was incredible and at the price of £9.95, incredible value. The atmosphere was great and family friendly and the staff were lovely! Couldn’t recommend more will be a regular spot from now on when fancying a Sunday dinner out.

We had some super nice food at Brazinos this afternoon after a nice walk along the Riverside between Newburn and wylam. I'll definitely be having the Brazino fish again!

Just had a lovely meal here. Started off with bruschetta, then penne arrabbiata for a main. Be warned: you’ll need an ice cream dessert after because the arrabbiata is very hot. For those who like a non alcoholic beer, they serve Birra Moretti Zero. Very reasonably priced meal. I was dining alone (up here for work), and they were happy to accommodate my request to move due to an annoying kid watching annoying cartoons on his annoying tablet while his annoying parents ignored him. Used to be a pub, nicely done out, busy but not too busy, friendly staff. You can drink outside, it’s on the banks of the Tyne next to the Tyne Walk, so has a very nice view of the river.

We've been here a few times for the lunch special - £9.95 for 2 courses or £12.95 for 3. Food has always been great and large portions. I've always fancied a dessert but just never have managed the room for one! Good service.

Previously The Boathouse pub, this just isn't the same since it was renamed and repurposed. We wish it was still a proper pub rather than a restaurant. They had Birra Moretti on tap and it tasted well looked after. But it's lost it's "canny pub" feel, and we waited AGES for both rounds to arrive at our table. Still... it's a lovely little location, so we'll still pop in for the odd pint in passing.

6-30pm, Saturday evening and 80% full. A pleasant pub/restaurant on a good riverside location with plenty of car parking spaces. It has an adjacent open garden area (paved) with tables. Food: large portions, fresh, well presented. Service: excellent and prompt. Price: moderate. Room atmosphere: vibrant but not noisy. Muzak: none (hoorah).

Popped in to have a drink with the wife in the beer garden and when we were there we asked about eating in and whether or not you had to book a table, the girl we spoke to who brought our drinks out to us was so nice and friendly that we will definitely be eating there soon.

Decided to call in to our favourite Italian for a late lunch. We shared mussels in white wine and garlic to start, followed by sumptuous chefs salmon. Together with a bottle of house red. What can I say. Excellent, delicious, faultless. Although that's what we expected. They never let us down.

I booked a table for 4.30 as it fitted into picking up my grandson from school and our travel to the restaurant. I had not thought about happy hour times. We were welcomed to the place but told promptly that our table would be required by 6.30, which spoiled things for me, I felt we could not really enjoy our meal. This may be how restaurants work but I didn't feel it was neccessary. Anyway, the food was lovely. A little expensive. Young staff very pleasant.

Some really good food available with friendly service. Seated by the door can sadly be a little chilly with no options for resolution do wrap up just in case! It can be quite slow to serve too, so be prepared to remind staff of your order. Otherwise great. We have been several times now and always had good food and a pleasant experience which is really what counts. Go and enjoy the place and all it offers, including the riverside views.

Nice friendly greeting from the staff and taken to a table straight away. When the waiter came to take our drink order I asked if he could ask the chef if I could have a different sauce on my starter. The waiter didn't come back with an answer so when giving my order I had to ask again. All I wanted was a light cream sauce. The waiter tried to get me to have a tomato one and some other one. In the end i settled on the Diane sauce. The starters was lovely and so was the tomato bread pizza. We did ask about having veg and chips with one of the mains and was informed it was one or the other. I don't see why we couldn't of just paid extra. My friend enjoyed the chicken and my other friend loved the steak. We had pizzas and was disappointed with them. I asked my husband if he'd go back and he said if he did he wouldn't have the pizza.

Branzino,s spot on hidden gem. Well pleased I gave it ago a couple of weeks ago. I've returned a few times since Sunday lunch is cracking. I've tried both beef and belly pork. Modern theme. Not over crowded. Manager owner friendly guy. All staff are great 👍

Food amazing, portions great a little frustrated we couldn't eat outside. The only criticism is lack of social distancing we were told where to sit even though there were only 6 other people in the restaurant then two ladies came in and were sat directly behind us even though there must have been at least a dozen empty tables. Hope this is rectified as we really would like to return.

Enjoyed the food very much, however the beer and cider were not the best especially at the price. Also our waiter a nice young helpful guy was lovely, but I suggest the manager works on his people's skills as we got the impression if your face fits you get better attention,which is very wrong,it's always about customer satisfaction first.we will go back but hope for a better service.

At the former Boathouse, we had - without a doubt - the best Italian pizza in all of Newcastle. We’ve been to Cal’s Own in Jesmond, but this blew it out the water on the first bite. And the views of the river are second to none. 10/10
