Absolutely delicious pizza, really good value for money & Service was super speedy. The only downside was our confusion over the menu that was on offer…. Quite limited options & not a main menu full of starters, mains, sides etc… so we only had a choice of 5 pizzas or 5 pastas for mains as didn’t want the options from the Christmas deal menu? But other than that… we had a great time! Thank you!

Friendly staff. Seemed to be a problem with the oven as we were given complimentary olives while waiting for garlic bread. We waited a very long time for the garlic bread Mains must have been ready at the same time as they were dry and burnt on top. No apology but we were given complimentary tea and coffee. The restaurant was very quiet so not rushed off their feet.

Was booked for my grandaughters birthday the staff were fantastic and the owner is a fast draw artist, drew a picture of my grandaughter and she was chuffed. Also the food was first class. Can't wait to go back.

Four stars is right. I liked it, a good local restaurant and a good choice for a meal out in Gosforth. The service from dealing with them on the phone, the welcome, the ordering and the bill was good. Polite, attentive but not intrusive. The food was good. The bread was nice enough as were the olives. Likewise the calzone was enjoyable and my wife was happy with her salmon. The coffees and desserts were good. All in all a decent meal for about 25 pounds a head.

Visited Wednesday afternoon. Warmly welcomed as always and able to choose our table (which we always prefer). Service attentive and friendly without being intrusive. Food was excellent. Freshly prepared and well presented. We ordered off the main menu rather than the special. Been here twice over 2 years and each time the food was amazing. Even the simplest of dishes are perfect. Kids meals are big as well. Really love the food and I'm not that much of an Italian foodie cos most places are bland. Not so with this. Every dish looks amazing and every bite hits the spot. Prices are really good too. Drinks are lovely too. Staff are lovely.

There are at least a half dozen coffee shops on Gosforth High Street. If you a caffeine aficionado, this is the one. The white Americano is one of the best in Newcastle. Not only that, you can drink wine, beer or cocktails and eat good food in this well designed ristorante, which has a warm atmosphere that defies this otherwise haughty neighbourhood. And if you are lucky, you might get served by the delightfully-named Raoul. Brilliant.

Absolute gem of an Italian. Staff are always really good and even with it being super busy tonight they were on top form. My starter, which was mussels with a spicy sauce, is only the second place I've ever found that does such a brilliant spicy, tomato sauce... And then my main which was the ravioli stuffed with lobster had the most delicious, creamy sauce, it was to die for. All of this for a reasonable price even without the discount currently available. Absolute winner, could not recommend more. Already been a few times and will be back many more.

We have just had two Sunday lunches delivered. Mine was the pork the other lamb. Absolutely superb. The meat was cooked perfectly, the veg too. Big portion plus 2 enormous Yorkshire puddings. The food was delivered on time and still hot. Would recommend Casa San Lorenzo Gosforth to anyone

Lovely to see the 'old' crew back in charge. Great place and great service from the manager and his colleagues. We used to live in Gosforth and regularly visited where we were treated well by the staff who shared a bit of humour. But then, new management took over, the existing crew left and the standards dropped so much that we decided to eat elsewhere. We left Newcastle a couple of years ago and returned for a family meal our daughter had arranged. And a huge welcome surprise, the 'old' crew had returned! A nice friendly reunion and great service with great service and meal again. We will certainly be back on our next visit and we can thoroughly recommend it as a nice friendly, family place to eat.

A lovely Italian restaurant with a good menu we had the extra special topping on the pizza and the beef pasta it was definitely worth paying that little bit extra "delicious" and not to expensive. Very rustic deco with exposed bricks and tastefull stencils. Very friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. I would advise that you make a booking especially at weekend as it gets busy

Perfectly serviceable pizza Asked by the restaurant why only three stars, okay I'll explain. The pizza was servicable ie. okay, it was fine, not bad, not the worst I've ever had, not the best. I didn't hate it. Nor was it particularly amazing. Ditto the service. Welcome could have been better and warmer, but otherwise fine service, friendly enough. Surroundings weren't all that bad, but not incredible. I give four stars when I have a very good meal, and five for something spectacular. Three for something reasonable. Which this was.

Excellent food and excellent service. Go early on a Sunday to avoid disappointment as this place is popular and gets packed fast. In fact pre book before going. It's worth it. Very reasonable prices and a good Gin selection at the bar. Get 2 or 3 course meal deals on too. My favourite place on the High Street.

I very much liked the ambience of this traditional Italian with English cuisine. The food was excellent with the children accompanying us enjoying a traditional pasta and carbonara sauce- rich and creamy with the offer of extra parmesan. The adults enjoyed traditional roast pork with roast potatoes and well-made Yorkshire pudding and gravy. A very nice place, will presented and clean. Staff were friendly, helpful and very good with the boy. We opted for the two course special and weren't disappointed.... Me and my good lady (MGL) shared our starters.... bruschetta, the tomatoes were very tasty and chicken liver pate, the onion marmalade was very good. I can't remember the name of the main course but they were wraps filled with chicken or beef, we each got a different type and shared again, these were served with chips, MGL went for sweet potato ones and I opted for traditional potato type. The boy had potato skins which were good and then had pizza, they bring to the table so he could put the toppings on himself, he certainly enjoyed that 😁 We would certainly go back to try again.
