Reviews of Gino D'Acampo Restaurant Quayside Newcastle
N. K.
Situated in a lovely location near River Tyne. Beautiful views. Metro and buses drop you in town centre so It is good 10-15 walk from Newcastle Town centre. Although you can drive down or get taxi. It is close to other pubs and restaurants and also close by to few accommodations if you fancy staying over. Beautiful inside. The staff were lovely and friendly and service was quick and good. The price was pricey and to be fair the meal could be bought anywhere, not overly special for the price. I would come again if I wasn't paying, so if anyone wants to treat me feel free lol 😉. The restaurant is very clean and very up to date and the toilets are nice also.

Really enjoyed our lunch. The venue was great, the outside terrace was lovely and the food was first class. Definitely the best seafood pasta I've had for quite some time. Considering the location and the quality of the food I felt that it was very good value for money. Highly Recommended.

Amazing!!!
Thank you so much for every single day we spend at your restaurant. The food was awesome! The price is absolutly justified. The view were also very good.
But the absolut best was the people there! Our favorit: Denis! Unbelievable friendly, funny, lovely! He was the main reason why we came every day of our Newcastle-visit to your restaurant.
Thank you Denis, Thanks to the whole „Gino‘s“-Team. You all did a great job!
D. L.
Stylish restaurant with relaxing atmosphere, good menu selection. A bit disappointed that the pasta wasn't fresh pasta (c'mon Gino)... excellent service and staff, all in all a great dining experience.
M. T.
Fantastic modern new restaurant, nice atmosphere with quick service. Restaurant week portions weren’t as big as main menu but that was to be expected however it was excellent . Overall a nice new addition to the quayside
J. L.
Celebrated my birthday at Gino D Acampo restaurant. Staff are very accommodating and friendly. Bianca was superb with her excellent customer care and services. Food was fantastic and the ambiance was so classy.Thank you for making my birthday special. Hope to see Gino on my next birthday.
D. A.
Great food and service. Atmosphere is great and staff are very attentive. Great to see pizza being prepared in front of you before being served. If we lived closer would definitely be back!
T. k.
Absolutely beautiful food we ha a dunky dunky bread sharer to start and the calamari, I went for ginos recommended last meal on earth linguini with lobster 🦞 🦂 it was a beautiful dish I normally would of picked a pasta dish but wanted an authentic experience. The Mrs had lasagne fries and a garlic bread, the fries and garlic bread was lovely but the lasagne was literally the best lasagne we've both ever tasted I wish I picked it over the linguini to be quite honest 😋😍😍 that will definitely be my dish of choice when I visit in the future! All washed down with a bottle of wine and few cheeky cocktails 🍸. Definitely worth the experience, also not sure if the tipi is always there bit that is a real nice touch too.
P. H.
A great atmosphere, very spacious with floor to ceiling windows giving great views of the iconic Quayside. The reception and pre dinner service was excellent. Food as you would expect from Gino was second to none. Service impeccable
A. Q.
I ordered Burrata and Fettuccine and it was delicious 👌🏻. And thanks for Manu for his amazing service. He is very helpful and suggested one of dishes to me. Recommended to visit the restaurant again.
T. M.
What a truly wonderful experience, food absolutely delicious. All courses, the taste, presentation. Atmosphere was excellent and staff very helpful and attentive. Can't wait to go back and try something new again.
L. S.
Had a wonderful afternoon for my birthday, food was amazing, big thanks to Maggie she was really welcoming and helpful, wont be the last time we visit
S. B.
Absolutely gorgeous food, really tasty, service was so friendly and food was served quickly. We were seated in a beautiful bar area before being taken to our table, worth every penny and would definitely recommend a trip
D. W.
Brilliant night so far, my dairy allergy is taken care of and the wine pairing is fantastic. Also thank you to Gino for being so nice. My guinea pig gino will be happy with his signed autograph x
n. f.
Absolutely class. From the food wine and Staff. Loved every minute of the evening. Went for a dear friend's birthday and it was great. See you soon people.
n. s.
Absolutely fantastic from walking in to leaving food staff bloody lovely and not that costly really I payed £160 for sharing starter 3 mains bottle of prosecco and 3 drinks before hand definitely recommend this restaurant
I. W.
Excellent restaurant! The service was great and the menu fantastic! I could have ordered 5 mains there was so much choice, lots of nice drinks options also. It’s a popular place so book earlier, we could only get a table at 17:30 on a Friday evening. The setting is nice and the restaurant has a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended!
P. N.
First impression was good the restaurant was well laid out, modern. I would have liked a more italian feel but that's my personal opinion. The food was excellent the Rigatoni with wild boar first class. Our waitress Julia was excellent. Pricey but worth it.
J. x.
Maggie served our table.
Enjoyed food & drinks great table with great view of River Tyne
Wouldn't rush back but
Excellent company made the lunch special 😋
d. h.
Very well run with amazing staff and perfect location I would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting fantastic food in a charming place. I had the Lobster Linguine finished with Affogato dessert which is very rare on menus and oh so tasty. Good for people watching too.
W. W.
We had booked in for Sunday dinner (luckily we had as it was a gorgeous warm Sunday afternoon and very busy!) We asked (the gorgeous blonde hostess) if we could sit outside which she was able to find a table for us) unfortunately after this point the service slowed to a crawl, waited ages for our drinks, waited longer to take our order then even longer for the food to come out. I had the beef Sunday dinner, very good but could have done with some additional veg, just seemed to be 3 variations of peas. Beef was beautiful, Yorkshire's good a very nice meal. I should've knocked a star off but a great setting, a stunning hostess, good food - the long waits could've been a staffing issue which I'm not going to mark down as I feel this could be unfair.
C. T.
Lovely restaurant staff, good music, amazing decor and ambience.
I chose the calamari and Italian burger and they were both on point.
H. K.
Very pleasantly surprised by this primarily Northern chain of Italian restaurants. Beautiful venue and ambience, excellent wine & great food. Definitely a winning formula. I had the chicken with lemon & capers which was superb.
After that initial experience, we held a 200+ person dinner for the Thinking Digital Conference there last week in mid-May and it was amazing. Great vibe & energy for the dinner and the servers were excellent. Also the aubergine parmigiana was extraordinary!
So whether you're dining for two or 200, you're onto a winner here.
A. A.
The staff were amazing, Silvia, our server, worked tirelessly with a smile and intuitively. She knew what we needed before we even asked! She is an asset to that restaurant. Dennis too was very helpful and very professional.
The food was very well cooked and presented and tasted delicious!
The atmosphere was amazing and this was the icing on the cake!
Only slight criticism is that the music was a tad too loud for a restaurant and we had to shout all night to hear each other.
I. K.
We had our 5 year wedding anniversary here and we both where over the moon. The quality of the food was perfect. The staff where really friendly, they gave us a warm welcome and spot on service. It was way over our expectations and we have to say that, this place became our favourite restaurant around. Here you will always feel welcomed. I will definitely re-visit this place at least once in a month. Thank you for this great experience. 🙏

Last night my wife and I visited this Newcastle quayside restaurant and were absolutely amazed by all aspects of the experience.
From walking through the front door we we greeted by a lovely lady and shown to our window table.
Service was first class and the food was amazing.
Our waitress was a lovely young lady called Bianca who made us feel special and spent time chatting to us .
The bill was very reasonable for the quality of food drinks and service.
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Thank you all and a special thanks to Bianca.
L. H.
A beautiful restaurant with stunning food. The service was amazing and quite quick. We had two meals (swordfish and lasagne), a cocktail and a coke for £60.
Definitely worth visiting.
A. M.
So we popped to for an early dinner 1715. It was absolutely wonderful. Everything was socially distanced, staff all had masks on, and so I felt super comfortable. We sat outside because we like sitting outside anyway, and it wasn't very cold. And of course the incredible view.
I had the Parma ham bruschetta, neapolitan pizza and the chocolate cheesecake.
Parma ham bruschetta was with spicy nduja, honey and pistachios. It was so perfectly balanced, the honey lifted the flavours.
The Real Neapolitan pizza has Italian sausage, friarelli (broccoletti - tastes like broccoli leaves/ spinach yum), mozzarella cheese and chilli. No tomato, which is perfect for me as I have a tomato intolerance. Some truffle chips with cheese as well, delicious.
My husband had the king prawn Bruschetta which was incredible, the kitchen changed how they cooked it due to his dairy+egg allergy and it didn't taste like it had lost anything. He had the lamb cutlets, which he wouldn't share so they must have been excellent.
I had the chocolate cheesecake for dessert because I wasn't willing to stop eating off that menu quite yet. It tastes incredible. Like a slightly savoury/less rich version of a Ferrero rocher. The sour cherries cut through the richness (which is exactly what the waiter said when I asked for recommendations).
The staff were excellent, attentive, knowledgable, had good chats, helpful with our allergies etc. The live dj was doing an excellent job, and the atmosphere inside seemed great. Couldn't fault it. We'll be going back.
L. R.
Food delicious. Atmosphere nice and relaxing. Cant wait to visit Manchester one which is closer to home.
C. B.
Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and drinks there tonight. Really friendly and attentive staff who seemed very knowledgeable about their menu.
The food was outstanding. Packed full of flavour and served well within a reasonable time.
This will certainly not be our last time we visit here. Hopefully sooner rather than later. 😋
S. C.
Really nice place had the sharing mixed meat cheese and bread starter really good
King prawn risotto and swordfish mains were a little bland
Overall a good experience
R. W.
Great place, lovely food. Not cheap but you get what you pay for as they say.
Only downside is a service charge of 10% which I can't remember if it's mentioned on the menu.
Then when you pay the bill the waitress indiscreetly mentions the service charge which is optional putting you in a rather strange position
I will gladly give a tip for excellent service but I dislike service charges very much.
Drop the charge and the experience would be much more pleasant.
A. C.
We had a wonderful celebration lunch at Gino's today. A beautiful light and airy restaurant with excellent, friendly service from all staff we met. Special mention must go to our server Mano who looked after us so well and was so helpful and professional. The food and drinks were delicious. We will return!
H. W.
The food was very nice but the service was a little slow as a very sunny busy Sunday. Music and ambience was great. Would go back again.
A. M.
Went to quayside restaurant for my birthday. Fabulous food, fabulous service, amazing staff. Looking forward to our next visit in the New Year
C. G.
Had a lovely meal here. Atmosphere very happy. But the one that stood out today was Emir. What an amazing waiter. He was so attentive, made us feel so welcome, explained the menu and certainly knows his job. If there is an employee of the month Emir so deserves this. Excellent customer service skills. Thank you.
j.
We chose here to celebrate being in remission and oh it did not disappoint, it felt so special, the food and cocktails were amazing and the atmosphere was lovely! Yeah it's a bit pricy but the food was so good it was worth every penny!
L. F.
Went for a meal with work colleagues. Food was lovely and staff were lovely too. Really enjoyed the experience it's a beautiful restaurant attached to a hotel. I thought the starters were quite expensive but you pay for what you get and it was delicious. I would highly recommend a visit here as it was a very enjoyable experience.
N. M.
Fantastic atmosphere, great food. Had a really good time. Just for reference they do add a discretionary 10% service charge. Obviously this will add a considerable amount if there's a big group of you. Please don't let it out you off though the food is amazing.
L. C.
Food was great, service was great however I do not like when a service charge of 10% is automatically put on the bill. I always tip, however eating for 2 is around £90-£100 and no one in their right mind would leave £9-£10 tip!! Its the price of a starter! In house DJ but we were sat right under a speak and couldn't hear each other speak. Other than that place is fantastic and food it great
A. A.
Gino, is more than a restaurant, it's a Dinning experience! Attention to detail and to each member of our party was exceptional.
Our waiter Sylvia was outstanding. Humoured us, recommend dishes, helped us with wine and fizz choices.
Will defo be back! Winning
G. N.
Amazing meal, nice atmosphere... authentic Italian lunch with a view!
L. S.
Hi Gino you understandably are way to busy to read this, but I have to mention what an excellent waiter you have at Newcastle. My partner and I arrived tonight for a meal for my birthday, we were served by Sam who made us feel welcome comfortable and at ease in your restaurant. He went above and beyond to make it a special night and it was throughly an extremely enjoyable visit that we will do again. Please give credit to all your staff but mainly Sam for making my birthday so special x
C. G.
Great service, not so good value. Happy to accept I did not make the best meal choice from the menu, with the Mussel and Clam Stew and the Sirloin Steak. Looking forward to trying the Pizza's, Pasta's, Risottos and the other authentic itallian meals, next time. Busy restaurant, buzzing ambience, great location, attentive hard working team of staff.
m.
The food was amazing. Have vegan options(ordered vegan pizza) The atmosphere is so fancy and posh. It’s worth to go. On the top of that, the stuff Adriana made our day. She is friendly, helpful and brilliant.
A. L.
Wow, this place was amazing. Dined on a Sunday evening 6 30 great atmosphere and excellent service. Would recommend the crispy chicken yum!! I'd also recommend the baileys dessert. I'd suggest booking a table before going as it was very popular. Would 100 % recommend this.
A. T.
The food was excellent and so it should be. Clearly lots of effort had been put into the menu. The front of house was great. It was a lively atmosphere. Top end pricing, but no complaints.
B. T.
Went here on Tuesday 14th Sept, for celebration of my Grandaughter Lauren's Graduation, fabulous place in great location
Food was OK a bit pricey for the small portion sizes, I had a rump steak it was tasty but quite chewy certainly not 35 day matured as stated on menu as expected drink prices rather expensive, have had a lot better for the price charged
j. b.
The vegan and vegetarian menu on Monday 30th August. I had the tomato bruschetta and the gnocchi both were very good, definitely worth the 5 star rating, oh and if you want to experience the Gino food for at a slightly cheaper price the vegan and vegetarian menu is about 5 quid cheaper than the main menu mains
C. (. U.
The food was amazing and the staff were excellent hosts, I would highly recommend going to Gino's.
J. M.
Great setting. Slight delay with our order as the gas supply failed in the kitchen. Staff were attentive and apologetic, and didn't charge for our drinks to compensate for delay. Food very tasty at breakfast.
K. K.
Food was finger linger amazing ! Service was superb ! Riverside views on a Monday night ! Cant wait to come back like 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 loved the dress code for waiters too, very smart indeed 🤓
D. M.
the restaurant is fab, the staff were great, meals so so, mine was very dry, fettuccine with bolognaise sauce, not much sauce. Daughter had one bottle of Prosecco, very dry and rather expensive
S. e.
Stayed at the hotel next door, so decided to go here for dinner to celebrate engagement. Ordered 3 courses and all were exceptional. I really think the prices reflect the standard. Staff couldn't have done enough, really friendly and went out of their way to help. I think our server was called Maggie. Thankyou for making our night great. We even got some complimentary prosecco and a 'happy engagement' note on our desert. Atmosphere was great and we will definitely be returning.
a. g.
just ate there with my wife, the restaurant is beautifull, modern light spacious and airy , service was very professional and sleek, and the food was tremendous like proper authentic italian food when in italy , we had the 3 course lunch menu which was fantastic with a gino bottle of red from puglia which was 1 of the best wines weve ever tasted,
We will be back as soon as we can, highly recommend
D. W.
Had a brilliant evening on Saturday at Gino's. Charlotte, the hostess was great. Managing to get our party of 7 in at short notice and making us feel so welcome. Our table server for the evening, Elena was also great. Just the right level of service, there when we needed something, but not intruding when we were happy just socialising. The food was excellent. We all had 3 courses, with most of us having something different. Everyone agreed that their dishes were delicious, and the clean plates showed they were. I had the calamari, lobster spaghetti and crema catalana, couldn't have been better! We were there for 3 hours and the time flew. Definitely going again and highly recommend. The restaurant is stylish and a fantastic location, right on the river.
T. A.
Had a fabulous meal here on Saturday 10th July 2021. Excellent service, food and drinks. Would definitely recommend.
m. f.
Nice restaurant, pleasant staff.
Excellent starter and dessert, carbonara however lacked taste. Had better at other chain italians.
Highly recommend the blackberry ripple icecream.
Really happy that the waiter pointed out that the optional service charge had been added.
Service was good so left it on, just good customer service not to be sly about it.
M. A.
Amazing venue. Amazing food. Amazing is a lesser word when it comes to hospitality. Chloè in particular was phenomenal with her hosting, candor and how can i miss the suggestions. Made the most of our DATE! It was a first and river side view was totally worth it.
A. G.
Fanastico!!....
Lovely meal at Gino's this afternoon!.....
Well worth a visit if you are in the Toon!....
E. W.
Fantastic night meeting Gino. Amazing food , allergies were handed well.
Can't wait to go back!
E. S.
Beautiful place to have dinner and enjoy the view. However the menu since last year has not been changed, I've celebrated my birthday there this year and the past one. The menu is the same. Carbonara is not really the best, is not creamy enough but very dry. Zucchine fritte were not crunchy how they suppose to be but oily and too way to soft. The tiramisu unfortunately didn't meet the expectations at all.
As Italian my self I can't give 5 stars to those dishes. Also, this time the service was slow and poor.
A. P.
Having visited again I was extremely disappointed in the drop in service from my previous review (below). It seemed the staff were more interested in its tables on the terrace and the table was unprepared in that we needed to request the cutlery and had to call over the waiter to take our food order after a twenty minute wait after our drinks had been served. Quality of food remained good however service was terrible. As service charge was automatically included in bill I removed a portion to reflect the poor service and I was astounded that this action was not even questioned so obviously they knew the service was not up to expectations.
Previous review: Booked my wife’s 60th birthday celebration - from booking with special requirements to arrival, service and attention we were more than 100% impressed. I highly recommend this establishment and we will be back. Thank you to all involved you are a credit to the restaurant
B. J.
We booked a room in the hotel that Gino’s is situated in and decided to book a table for evening dinner before heading out
Food was great as expected, service was very friendly & the bill was very reasonable
Drink service was a little slow as our drinks arrived after our starters, I’m sure with the restaurant only open a week or so these are teething problems
Breakfast was included with our stay and was served in Gino’s, breakfast was lovely with great views over the river, great atmosphere with the DJ playing a relaxing set
Would like to thank Devon who is part of the team in Gino’s for really looking after us over the weekend, nothing was a problem for her at all, she is a real credit to the company and really made us feel special
J. S.
Great tasting food and reasonably priced. Very friendly efficient staff, sadly not a night when Gino was about. We will definitely go again
F. L.
Was here with my boyfriend on Tuesday. We had the linguine with lobster and sea bass which were great and the pricing was fair for the portions. Our waitress Julia was really lovely. We will definitely come back!
B. F.
This was a girlie lunch date, amazing food. Staff.ambience and venue. I will definitely be returning soon . Love this place.xx thank you for a fab experience xx
C. W.
After getting our table, everything was great. But won't go back ever again. Had booked, but no tables available on arrival and were held in a waiting area. It was clear some people were allowed straight in, and you had to complain to be invited to a table. Complaining worked but ruined the evening. Suggestion: go somewhere else where they want your custom.
D. F.
First the restaurant is a really light airy space. Service was excellent, and the food great. Every table seemed to be a birthday party!
J. T.
We have just had a lovely day at Gino's on the Newcastle Quayside. We were in the winter chalet which was absolutely beautiful, at times slightly chilly but the food was amazing.
Our bar tender/ waiter for the day was Dennis who was very helpful and accommodating.
We will definitely be back.
l. a.
Very cozy fine dining restaurant, good Italian food
K. L.
Nice food. The seating area outside is uneven and it felt like I was facing the sky for the time I had my meal. Something that should be sorted really
d. b.
Went here with my wife prior to leaving for menorca
Food was brill staff were excellent friendly and not intrusive
Would I go again definitely I had cod which was very nice my wife had lamb cutlets all nice and empty plates but pleases be aware that what is in your list is what you get you want sides you pay for them which I prefer as I don't want a full plate
W. M.
Excellent food and customer service, staff very pleasant and helpful.Very light, airy spacious restaurant. Will definitely be back.
N. P.
Lemon chicken with a white wine, by the riverside in the warm sun….how can u not love it! Cherry on the cake was amazing hosting by Chloe ❤️ Cheers!
g. w.
Ginos is the perfect restaurant, great selection of quality meals and drinks, combined with the relaxed atmosphere and the service level of the staff makes the restaurant the perfect place for an outing with family or friends
D. U.
Only popped in for a drink but as usual with most places at the moment not enough staff cue cue cue...
Sat outside in the beer garden area bloody freezing might be an idea to have heaters in that area
Nice place brand new but will go back in the future
A. B.
So in love with this place... best Italian food in the toon. 💜
K. G.
Really good meals wit affordable prices, order processing was quick. Bit noisy inside but makes you feel you are in Italy
M. C.
Food is okay, but the prices are sky high. The menu doesn't give you much information about what you're ordering, just a little blurb from "Gino". We left with full bellies but it was astronomically expensive for the food which is served imo.
L. M.
We visited Gino’s for my missus birthday and I could not be more impressed. We ordered the Wild Boar Ragu and the Lamb Cutlet and I simply could not fault either of them. The lamb was perfectly cooked to medium and it was actually the best lamb I’ve ever had. Whatever the rumours of liquidation. My man Gino’s blown it out the water. Who is Jamie Oliver? 🤔
G. T.
First time here very nice friendly staff and the food is really good not the cheapest but well worth the money
M. T.
Service was okay in general, but we were waiting for 20mins for someone to take our drinks order at the start.
The carpaccio was nice, but nothing special. The margherita pizza wasn’t great. The sauce was very bland, and it was only sprinkled with a little bit of cheese. The cocktails were decent. Had a pretty nice time, but wouldn’t come again.
E. G.
Came to Ginos to celebrate my birthday , beautiful restaurant , light and airy, such a nice atmosphere . Staff were friendly and attentive and the choices available on menu were great. We enjoyed everything and will definitely be back!
c. k.
Absolutely love this place! We visited at Xmas time for my sons 16th birthday and wow 👌👌 Total perfection from start to finish. Brilliant friendly staff, even with kiddies, first class service and the best fresh food. Nothing is a bother to them at all. Atmosphere is so chilled to definitely a place I could spend alot of time here.
The place is spotless through out and even though this restaurant is beneath a hotel on the busy quayside, you can't actually hear a thing. Well done ginos you didn't disappoint. The 2nd restaurant in the chain we have visited, 1st Manchester in October. Faultless
V. R.
Manu was the most fantastic waiter, was caring and very conciseness about my dietary requirements, so helpful, polite, happy and genuinely nice guy.
The whole team at A Night with Gino was amazing and very well planned and the best 40th birthday I could have wished for...
M. S.
Beautiful restaurant, lovely staff providing great service and delicious food. Booked for the first time during the Newcastle Restaurant Week. Well worth a visit. Will be back soon.
S. L.
I'm really disappointed to be writing this review , I normally wouldn't complain but feel our visit to Gino's, Newcastle fell short of our expectations last night .
We visited this restaurant in the summer with friends and had a fantastic night , fabulous food, great service and superb music, as a result we immediately booked to take our children and their partners for a Christmas night out.
First of all we were sat in a dark dingy corner that required us to put the flashlight on our phones to be able to read the menu, even the waitress admitted she couldn't see , we waited a long time for anyone to take out order for drinks let alone food..,eventually we we were served our starters 40 mins. after ordering them. We had another lengthy wait for our mains. To be fair the food was mainly good but myself and my daughter ordered the sausage fettuccine , we both found it to be tasteless and underseasoned and the bottle of wine we wanted was out of stock .
We had particulatly booked this table for a Saturday night as we were told by the head waiter at our first visit that the great music and DJ was on every Friday and Saturday night, not this time ... it was the Saturday night before Xmas and not a Xmas tune to be heard!! . there was just no Christmas atmosphere at all.
After our mains we, again, seemed to wait an age before anyone cleared our table, we wanted to order dessert , 3 times we tried to catch the waitress' attention, each time she approached our table only to be called back to the kitchen by another member of staff ..Our table was booked for 8.30pm.. at 10.45 we still hadn't been able to order desserts !! eventually the waitress came to take our orders ... too late our taxi was booked for 11pm !! .. she was apologetic, tried to pacify us with vouchers for £10 off meals in January and a box of biscotti.. as we left very disappointed in the whole evening the table next to us were complaining about exactly the same problem. Our bill came to £325 for the evening, if I am spending that amount on another meal, there are much better places to eat in Newcastle!! .. I'll be voting with my feet .

I've now ate here 5 times in total and love it that much myself and my family are now booked in for Christmas Dinner. Gluten-free option is absolutely brilliant, staff are always lovely to. Decor is just as good as the food. A total must if you're visiting Newcastle 💃❤

Wow,wow, wow. What food, what a menu, what kind and alert staff, what a fast service, what quality. Gino your a hero and my new place to dine in Newcastle! Have never felt so welcome and would recommend Gino's to everyone. Very very good price and food so good I ordered another meal straight after I had his delectable Bolognese. A family recipe that was without doubt the best Bolognese I've ever had. People, life's to short to deny yourself this experience from heaven. Cant believe he opened a place in my home town. Would be 10 stars if I could

I took my fiance here for his birthday and it was one of the best experiences we've had. All the staff we're really friendly and helpful and the food was amazing best Italian food I've ever had and I eat a lot of Italian food 😊. We even tried the Gino Vino and sorry Gordon and Fred but it was lovely and the staff even brought a cake out for my fiancé's birthday. Gino should be very proud of his Newcastle team cause there all brilliant and really look after his customers. We will definitely be going back to this restaurant again ♥️. Ciao Bella' s X x x

Sat in cold (we were given blankets). Staff were nice, food was just ok but scrimped on toppings. When heating did come on using petrol generater it was very noisy.

The food was delicious and the service was friendly and efficient. I got a surprise for my birthday.

An enjoyable meal if the ambient noise was a little above what I would have preferred. Service will become a little faster as things bed in. I will definitely return.
On my second visit, service was good. The restaurant was busy but the ambient noise was low. I think my previous visit coincided with one or more birthday parties, hence the higher noise level. Rating now moved from 4 to 5 stars. I will be returning.

Great service and always happy to help. My Fiancée has sever allergies and they are more than willing to accommodate and their allergen guide is pretty easy to follow.

Wow - fabulous from start to finish! We were asked about any allergies/intolerances which we feel is important. Food was excellent & great atmosphere! 5 star! :)

This place is lovely, the mocktails and sharing starter were delicious, the rigatoni wild boar ragu was surprisingly meaty and delicious, the only thing to let down the experience was the Bucatini Carbonara, which my future mother in law said was cold and the pancetta was a bit too crispy for her, she took what she didn't eat home with her to try hot.

Great atmosphere and service. Had the mussels antipasti and seafood linguine. All very nice, would recommend.

Visited last night for the first time for our 5th wedding anniversary. We had such a lovely evening. Very modern and in a lovely spot right on the quayside. Although very busy, we never felt like we were too close to other diners and still felt like we were having a private meal. I had mentioned when booking it was our anniversary so had asked if possible for a window seat which they had reserved for us. The food was amazing, fine dining at its best! We were stuffed after our meal so didn’t ask for the dessert menu, just requested the bill. Before receiving this we were brought out the most gorgeous chocolate cheesecake to share with happy anniversary wrote on the plate. It was such a surprise and really made our night. Attention to every detail is primary here and we will definitely be back soon.
Thank you 😊

The staff are great here, however the portion sizes of the food are not great for cost of the food on the menu so I was left disappointed unfortunately.

First time at Gino's restaurant in Newcastle and it was fantastic. The decor was gorgeous. First class service from all staff especially the lovely Silvia who looked after us and recommended some gorgeous desserts and drinks. The food was beautiful and very Gino's style. The atmosphere was electric and totally supported by the brilliant music from the young gentleman on the DJ decks. My partner personally thanked him for his music choice. We will definitely be back, big Big thanks to everyone at Gino's.

It's a lovely place did not know it was here ,but only opened in May last year ,staff very friendly and helpful, only one tight snag is the cheapest bottle of wine is £27 it was nice but expensive. And not forgetting the service charge added
