Went for Mother's Day, we were a large party of 15. The service was great, staff are friendly and helpful. I had the seabass, mussels and prawns in a creamy sauce, it was exceptional.

The food was nice and of a reasonable price. Unfortunately the service is not great. The food was prompt, however the staff preferred to chat amongst themselves rather that tend to diners. We were only asked about drinks once prior to ordering food. Not once throughout the rest of the meal did a member of staff ask if we needed more drinks.

Took my Sis for a meal today, other than an initial issue with my booking which was dealt with promptly I have no complaints. Food was amazing and staff were superb. You would never have thought this was a cheap meal out! Absolutely stuffed, this Calzone is HUGE!!!

I had my first visit to the Restaurant yesterday evening after work. Very enjoyable experience. Delicious food at very reasonable prices and a good atmosphere. The restaurant wasn't overy busy so service was very prompt and friendly, with Staff conscientious and attentive. I had a garlic Bread starter plus Pasta (Spaghetti Arriabatta). Very satisfying.

First visit on a eat out to help out scheme. Nice atmosphere, plenty space, pleasent staff, lovely food. Slight confusion over my seafood pasta order which was rectified in minutes. A really enjoyable dining experience, hence I would have no hesitation returning here for another meal.

Ordered at 4.30pm after a really heavy snowfall, asked if my order could be delivered at 8pm but acknowledged the weather & said any time around then would be fine. At 8pm my order was delivered bang on time, & was absolutely delicious. Kudos to the staff at Oli & Joe’s Whickham, spot on & thank you !

The COVID restrictions slightly dimmed the experience but that is not their fault. The food was good and the service prompt. With friends seated on an adjacent table conversation had to be at a louder volume than usual! So, the background music needs to be taken down a peg. But overall no problems and an enjoyable meal out.

Our favourite local restaurant. Nice family atmosphere. Well priced and lovely Italian menu, good selection of dishes, especially love the pizza here. Great value for money. The staff here work very hard, always a fast service and are always polite! The only suggestions I would have for you is to improve upon the dessert menu with some more authentic Italian desserts. Tiramisu was disappointing which is sad as it's my favourite Italian dessert and it's so simple to get right. It's okay though guys... we love you, so we'll always come back!

Went for mothers day, reserved a table in advance but when we arrived the queue was out the door - I've never had to queue like this for a reservation, but fortunately it went down quite quickly. Some of my party had the 3-course Sunday lunch, others had pizza. No starter cutlery, but starters were nice, mains were spot on. Waiting times weren't too bad between courses, the staff were kept very busy here and in my opinion did very well. Enjoyed our visit and will return.

had another great early evening meal out with family and friends, this is our Grandaughter's favourite eatery, great atmosphere, staff warm, welcoming and friendly ( though the Granddaughter did have to pull them up on their spelling on the blackboard...... she's only 8 ! ), food always good even for the early bird meals. Cheap and tasty pizza and pasta joint. Peroni on draft. More varied menu also available but it's fair to say most come here for the P&P. Very good value for money.

The food as it is, is relatively cheap and very nice and there's a LOT one can eat. The restaurant is however relatively small but it's at the point when you can hear the conversations of those right next to you, this was only found when there's very little people in the restaurant. Overall I do recommend it

Visited the Whickham restaurant for the first time today. I had the lunchtime special - various starters to choose from (I had the bruschetta), any pizza or pasta with a few exceptions (tagliatelle carbonara for me), and then either ice cream or coffee (coffee as I couldn’t manage ice cream). It was lovely and amazing value for money. Only £5.50 for my three courses! You can’t even get a starter for that where I live in the south east! Everyone I was with was impressed and we all had three courses, two chose from the regular menu and had fillet and rib eye steaks and it came to £76. Unbelievable for what we had. Definitely recommend this place, we’re going back tomorrow.

We just called in on the of chance just a well it was early because it got busy quick. Had a nice meal with quick service. Although we enjoyed the food the deco could do with an update inside was very much like a cafe not a restaurant. I would visit this establishment again
