Gorgeous food at this traditional Italian establishment that apparently has been around for decades, and has retained the same ambience We were looked after by the gorgeous Marie-Angela who made the evening a lot of fun. We all had the steak with mushroom sauce for mains and it was divine - meat cooked perfectly with some mild seasoning, and a delicious creamy mushroom sauce we were licking off the plate afterwards. Desserts were lovely too, and my friend really loved trying a proper cannoli Portions are generous, the environment is cosy but bright; and I love the old wall paintings. I adore that this place hasn't succumbed to the Instagram/trendy aesthetic and has retained its unique charm and warmth. Highly recommend

Went for lunch and had an amazing time. I ordered from their weekday set lunch deal and got fantastic portions for my calamari and Primavera pizza. The dishes were well worth the price and the ingredients were all fresh. It was a delicious meal. The staff were also excellent and very friendly. Can’t wait to go back and try more things on the menu.

Outstanding staff and outstanding service. We turned up as a table of 14 and we were not the easiest of customers but these guys delivered. We were rushed for time due to a few to many drinks and a prior engagement at the theatre. Thanks very much for all you did to ensure we received our meals. If I could give you 6 out of 5 I would.

Interior a bit otherworldly (full of paintings depicting Pinocchio's story) ...not what I'd expect when I enter an Italian restaurant. Extra points for being faithful to their name, though :) The food was quite authentic. I ordered the Zuppa di Pesce: tasted quite good! Otheres ordered pizza and pasta: everybody was pleased with the food. Staff were from the land of pomodoro and mozzarella, was fun practicing my Italian .

Visited this evening with my sister to have a lovely welcome from Nico, got seated and waited on straight away really prompt service. Ordered a sharing starter what was absolutely delicious. Then onto our mains what were beautiful too. Lovely friendly staff who couldn't do enough to make sure we were happy and kept drinks topped up. 5 star service all round, Will definitely be returning amazing food and great service well done to Pinocchios

Lovely little family style Italian restaurant. Been going there for around 30 years. Looks like it's changed hands since I was there last time and it's had a bit of a clean up and face lift but it hasn't lost any of its character or charm. Food still authentic Italian and very tasty. If I had to pick a fault, I'd say the service could be a little quicker with one or two members of staff walking around but not actually doing much. In fairness they were quite busy and it didn't spoil the night & I'd certainly go back again.

Perfectly good standard Italian place. Staff seemed to be very polite. Not too expensive for Newcastle. The place is small though so if you have a really big party you might need to go elsewhere. Pizza was tasty no complaints.

Maybe my expectations were to high but the food was rather disappointing. The minestrone was incredibly salty. I think chef was trying to make it look fancy by serving the breast butterflied with the wing still attached. As a result the chicken was rather tough and dry where it was thinner, in order for the thicker bit where the wing was to be properly cooked.

I was dining alone and was seemingly ignored, in what was not an overly busy restaurant. 15 minutes passed before I was asked if I wanted a drink and another 15 before someone came to take my order for food (I had the menu from the moment I sat down). I'm not asking to have attention lavished upon me whilst I dine, but a little more customer interaction would not go amiss.
