Found this place walking to the theatre from our hotel. Excellent food and service. Great selection on the menu. Waiter didn't bat an eyelid when my wife asked for fillet steak well done. The chef managed to keep it moist and packed with flavour. We live in Scotland but this place means we will be visiting Newcastle again.

Just had a super meal with my partner at Puccini. Lovely, friendly, helpful staff. Excellent food. Very reasonable prices. Super sorry then, to see the proprietor take every reasonable step to address another customer's issues in vain, the customer giving the appearance of just wanting to not pay for the meal. It's always difficult to see people who work hard to make you happy getting treated so poorly. Puccini is a great place to eat and have a great time. Thanks to all who work here.

We went here today with our son and daughter in law. An Anniversary treat for us. Beautiful decor and very cosy. Food was perfect. I went for the Roast pork Sunday lunch. I have had many Sunday Roasts at many places. This was honestly the best ever.Can't wait to go back. Well done Puccini's🥰Thank you.

Found this place by accident on Saturday night while on a weekend away with my wife and have to say it was a great find. The food and drink were fantastic and the service was really good. The price was very reasonable too. Would definitely recommend. Newcastles hidden gem. My only complaint is that its too far from Dublin...

I believe this is my new favorite restaurant in this location. We went for this wonderful Restaurant Week, and every piece of food that the table ordered was Deee-licious! I can't wait to return. My images don't do it credit because the dark lighting didn't help produce blog-worthy cuisine, but here you go. Bone marrow, steak frites are among my favorites. Very impressed with this service.

Second time here on Friday night after a very long journey we knew we were going to eat here, menu is fantastic and so hard to choose what to eat, staff and owners so welcoming and professional

Quite a dark place. I was eating on my own and got given a table tucked behind a wall so felt I was being hidden. I had garlic mushrooms which came on a tiny piece of bread. They were tasty though. Followed with a bolognese pizza, again tasty but no offer of parmesan cheese or asking if my meal was OK. In summary tasty food but service could have been better.

Went yesterday afternoon before a show for the first time with friends who had been before, it definitely won't be the last time. A little gem of a place classic Italian food extremely welcoming owners and staff. Table service was high class with every attention to each persons order re cutlery and glasses. The table was cleared when the last person had finished each course,which is how I was taught,not snatched away one by one making the last person feel rushed. I opted for the three course offer and chose the soup of the day this was homemade delicious and filling, the pizza arrived and I wondered if I had over faced myself but it was fantastic and I cleared my plate in fact everyone did. Third course was a coffee but just right after the previous courses again great quality coffee to finish off. We only had soft drinks and the bill was less than £15 each. Thank you

Nice quiet place, and didn't need to book a table for us (can't comment on other times though as this was a walk in on the off chance). My only gripe was the food was on the bland side. We had starters and mains and all 4 of us thought the same. What we had was good value for money though.

Super friendly Italian in the heart of Newcastle - stayed for 2 nights in the city and ate there on both nights as it was so good. Happy hour on food between 5 - 7pm and was not problem to the chef to tweak the dishes slightly to suit our tastes. Highly recommended Top tips...if you want to share 2 pizzas ask them to spilt them in the kitchen. The scallop and prawn pasta with mussels is wonderful too

Puccini is the only restaurant to capture my heart. I get excited going since the food, although standard, has that home cooked feel to it. All my friends agreed when I took them there one night. The staff accounted for my friend leaving early so they served her first. The elderly woman that seems to be part of the family that runs the place is a right hoot. We enjoyed her company and her professional service. Me and my partner love the cheesecake in the cabinet, then raspberry one. My only gripe is that when I ask for a medium steak, it comes medium to well done. My friends thought I was being arrogant until I cooked one at home to prove a point. They agree the chefs do struggle getting steaks right. However this seems to be a minor gripe when you consider the rapid food service. (Not affiliated at all with any of the business staff)

First I have to say there were a few mistakes with the booking but they were all my fault, I booked for 6 people but due to circumstances beyond my control only 4 could make it, that and I mistimed all the plans meaning we arrived 2 hours earlier than planned. None of that mattered to the staff here though, they seated us instantly and treated us like royalty the whole time. The food here is delicious, hard to fault the place. Every dish that came up was very well presented, tasted excellent and in just the right proportions. Very reasonable prices, all round an excellent choice.

Lovely place hidden away in the centre of the city with great food and service. Cozy little family ran Italian restaurant hidden in the Big Market. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The owner really ensure there customers are looked and the food is great. I can be a little picky with my food but, these guy didn't fail to impress. Visited recently with family and I was incredibly impressed. We were on a tight schedule so we ordered in advance with our meals being ready as soon as we sat down. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. It was also very reasonably priced. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant, it's fat to superior to many of the chains found in the city centre.

I have given the 3 star rating as an average from a 5 star for food and 1 star for service. I visited with my 7 year old daughter, we were shown to our table and handed two adult menus, we had to ask for the kids menu, the whole time the waiter struggled to even crack a smile. Then our order was taken by an even less friendly woman, no pleasantries exchanged, barely even acknowledged the order being given, just took the order and left. Then she came over and roughly removed the starter plates and cutlery without a word or even a smile. The waiter who originally served us brought the food and while not as rude as the other waitress, still made no effort to talk to us in any way. No one asked of the food was ok or anything like that. We just felt we were wanted in and out as quick as possible with minimum fuss. One other man who we hadnt met said a few pleasantries on our way out but that was the only non formal communication with us the whole time and the first time someone smiled at us since we arrived. It is a shame because the food was excellent, but the atmosphere was less than welcoming and left us deciding against staying for desert. If this is a family run place I would suggest to the owners they take a good look at some of the staff they had front of house as they will spoil the reputation and stop people coming back.

Went in for a solo bite to eat while in Newcastle on business. Just had a starter and a main. Service was good and staff were very pleasant and attentive without being ott. I had garlic mushrooms to start. The portion, for a starter, was more than generous. My main was from the specials board; clams and mussels with linguine. Again, good flavour, well presented and very enjoyable. The price was middling in range and good value.
