Iv been there a few times and never have I had an experience like this one it felt rushed from walking in the door when food came the portion size for adults was same as kids and some was cold not once did anyone ask how our food was and never asked if we wanted any more drinks sorry but I don't think I will be going back to that sambucas again totally spoiled my birthday meal

Honestly, it's such a shame, a chain of establishments I've been eating with for years, ruined by the unashamedly poor service of 2 members of staff, one being the manager! When staff where challenged about the quality of 2 members of our party's food, their response was to accuse those members who were not satisfied of being liars, insisting that their opinions didn't matter because they and the chef didn't agree with them. Exacerbated by the fact the manager didn't seem to have an ounce of managerial talent and certainly didn't understand the concept of customer service, talking down to my two female friends & then having the audacity to tell me that the service they received was not only acceptable but the standard! It was only when I explained my job role, his tone changed, insisting he'd resolve the matter & ensure the colleague was dealt with appropriately, I left the establishment, only to be told moments after I left a third member of staff was not only rude but abrasive in tone and the original waiter did nothing but try to make the remaining members of our party feel uncomfortable merely because as he said "I can say what I want and do what I want". Unacceptable! Especially since the majority of the food was of a very good standard and the service received from our female server was both pleasant and personable! That was the places saving grace!

Nice enough inside, though I had the wrong meal brought out and had to wait and watch my friends eat. Asked for Arrabiata and the second dish came out with a creamy sauce which didn't seem right but I didn't feel like kicking up a fuss so ate it and suffered next day as I have trouble with dairy in sauces. Potato skin starters were lovely though.

Had a meal here a couple of days ago, about 5pm and restaurant quiet. Service was slow and inconsistent but starters and mains arrived and the food was OK. Tried to place a drinks order for the table with a passing waitress. Managed to ask for 1 drink out of 4, she abruptly turned on her heel and walked off. I had to complete the order with a different waiter who saw the exchange and realised the mistake. Drinks then sat on the bar for 10 mins until I had to ask a third waiter to bring them over. Ordered dessert. No desserts after 30 minutes. Had to ask again. Everyone went to the toilet and still no desserts after 10 mins, so we paid our bill at the bar and left. We did tell them at the time and the waiter acknowledged that service had been poor and did apologise. In spite of the rubbish service we had a good time but I wouldn't hurry back. Only paid £30 more for a Miller and Carter a few weeks ago, class act by comparison. Really disappointed, used to be a good little spot for a reasonably priced meal.
