I highly recommend Sambuca Pavilion. I eat there at least twice a week with my daughter. I always enjoy the delicious food. The place is charming and cozy. I’ve tried different Italian culinary dishes. The service is professional. I thank Sami, chef Riad, Noufal, Hanz, Abdelmalek and all other amazing staff.

My 1st time there. It wasn't busy but a few tables were occupied. Very friendly and attentive staff. The food was fresh and excellent. Our group had two pasta dishes, one pizza and one fish dish. All were well presented and tasty. Price very reasonable. Car parking plentiful. One quibble - the table tops need to be replaced as they are "tired".

Brilliant friendly efficient service. Got us seated outside with no prior booking on a Saturday lunchtime. Very popular with a mixed crowd from young families to people dressed up and splurging a bit. We had a lovely lunch here and very looked after. Staff wear masks and social distancing is maintained. The lunch deal on Monday-Saturday 3 courses for 5.95 is unbelievable value. Potato skins were lovely, our mains (seafood and lasagne - both in marinara sauce) were nice and ice cream rounded off nicely. Drinks were good value too. Can recommend here for a friendly and brilliant service, with a very good value lunch deal

Had an excellent meal here yesterday with the family. Even though it was very busy, we were seated quickly. Staff were very friendly and brought my granddaughter's desert with a candle as it was her 7th birthday and sang Happy Birthday to her. I'm sure we will be making a return visit. The Pavilion is in a lovely setting and we were able to walk in the park afterwards and visit the children's play areas.

Ordered off just eat and the order said ready to pick up but when we arrived it wasn’t. Apart from that the food was lovely and tasty. Timing wasn’t too bad despite the delay and the prices were good. Location was a bit confusing wasn’t entirely sure where the entrance was.

Overall this was a pleasant little restaurant. Fast and friendly service, good portions and an even better price. However there was one glaring flaw. The tables were very cramped. You get more leg room with a budget airline. For that reason, I give this restaurant 4 stars. The food was tasty, but nothing stood out too much. In short, it's an ideal place for a pleasant lunchtime meal with one or two others. Not the best for groups or food connoisseurs.

We needed an emergency feeding pit stop at sambuca pavilion for my breastfed 3 month old during a walk. The manager? let us come in to feed in the restaurant when we had no booking or plan to eat. He was happy just to let us feed without ordering anything but we got a couple of drinks. All the staff were understanding and hospitable, thank you so much.

Food was lovely, with excellent service from the waiters. During the day they have a special for 3 course which is very cheap. Ideal placr to go for a nice lunch on a budget. The potatoe skins were the best I have had, the pasta was really tasty with lots of flavour, you can tell it's all fresh ingredients, which I have been to more expensive Italian restaurants and that wasn't the case. my other half enjoyed his pizza too.

Wonderful food, fantastic service and outstanding value. We came across this quaint little pavilion by chance when walking through Jesmond Dean, and the smell of cooking was the initial draw. Though small it really is perfectly formed. I have visited on several occasions with my family and we enjoy the food. Sitting outside on a sunny day is also loverly with a nice view of the parkland. I could not recommend this restaurant more highly.

Went for a meal here yesterday while walking through the park with the other half, food was lovely and staff were great. We went for the 3 course lunchtime special at only £4.95 each, excellent value for money. Will definitely be back.

We went for tea here yesterday as we thought we would take advantage of the 'eat out to help out' initiative. We checked that they were on the government list but were told quite rudely by one of the staff that it was "cheap enough anyway". We queried it with another waiter who said that the majority of their business came from the lunchtime specials so they couldnt give 50% off. As it was, it was after 4pm so we weren't having the lunchtime deal anyway. I checked with sambuca forest hall as they were also on the list and they are doing this initiative even on the lunchtime special???

Cute and quaint restaurant located within the Heaton park that offers tons of different Italian food based options. One of my favorite things about this restaurant is the location of it being right in the middle of the park, it really sets the tone for a better dining experience!! The restaurant itself is a bit small on the inside, but we have never had an issue with it being to busy. Not only is the restaurant nice, the prices are extremely affordable and can say that each time we are given great quality food and good portion sizes to come with it.

Sambuca pavilion in Heaton is always good. Food is very reasonable prices but still good. It was a hot summers day and we sat outside. Service wasn't as good as usual, I think our waiter was new and didn't know the ropes properly. Enjoyable meal. Pleased when we left as a rowdy group of women had just sat down for food. Pitied the waiters.

Only ate calzone pizza here but the homemade dough is good! Basic food but prices are good too! Worth a look for a quick bite/street food. Friendly staff. Only drawbacks are that the place is spruced up as a restaurant but it's very tacky and tatty. Interior is also dark and cave-like, but outside tables are a nice place to sit in good weather. Drinks are also expensive and will boost your bill considerably. Ok place for a snack though and they do pizza to go.

If you want a cheap meal out, then this is the place to come. I was here recently for my birthday with family. The potato skins were to die for but the pizza was poor with the rock hard base and strange topping. It was meant to be a vegetable pizza but it only had a couple of vegetables on it and far too much cheese. As a result I only had a small bit of it. Very disappointing!! The building itself is lovely, with its eclectic mix of wall tiles inside and outside you can imagine it in its heyday when the park was first created. If more care had taken with the food, this would have been a better score.

Been here many times since we discovered it 3 years ago! Staff and food always great, and very reasonably priced. So good in fact that now I have 3 young children and going out to eat, is like a chimps tea party, we get takeaway sunday lunches to enjoy at home! Plus there's Heaton Park to walk off the extra pudding or tire the kids out after.

Turned up late on a cold and wet Tuesday night and we were soon the only customers and what a treat , the staff were nothing short of incredible , although it was late ( 9.00 PM ) we were treated like royalty , the home made pate ,was lush with thick sliced fresh toasted bread with a large fresh salad , but the crowning glory was i had a steak ,forgotten the name but it was with black olives ,onions tomatoes,and red wine , it was huge 2" thick min and cooked medium rare to perfection , i have had plenty of steaks in and around Newcastle but this has to be the best i have ever had . Although it was getting on and the staff finished we were neither rushed or made to feel guilty . My compliments to all , the quality of the food and the attention to us was brilliant . Be back soon as it was a real treat
