Lovely little pizzeria, food was fantastic, about £15 per pizza, I had the lamb kebab {pictured drizzled with sauce). Service was excellent, didn't wait long for the food, desserts were yummy (£4 each).

I’ve had Pizza in Florence and other places but this beats them all! The Doddington cheese and red onion with ham was astounding. No signs outside for passers by but I guess survives by reputation and word of mouth alone and long may it continue. Do not miss out..seriously if you’re a food lover, go.

The best service and pizza I’ve had in a long long time. The lady (believe it was Cathy) who served our party of 4 plus 2 babies couldn’t do enough for us. The pizza was full of flavour and surprisingly light. We will be returning!

We heard about this place from our holiday cottage, so glad we made the short journey. Amazing wood burning oven sourdough pizza, plenty of choice for toppings and small pizza for hungry kids. Friendly service good price, highly recommended

Really excellent pizza as you'd expect to find in any city nowadays, so finding it in relatively rural Wylam is a real gem. Proper fermented pizza dough cooked in a wood oven (as the name suggests!). All the Covid rules were being followed, which is good (shouldn't need to be remarked upon, but you go into some places and clearly they aren't). Ambitious combination of toppings as well, particularly enjoyed the asparagus pizza from the specials menu. There were lots of vegetarian/vegan options on both the regular and special menus. Pricing-wise, it's basically what you'd pay for a similar quality pizza in Newcastle. As other reviewers have said, you get what you pay for.

Fantastic!! Broccoli salad starter was spicy and delicious. Lamb pizza was excellent. The scallop and celeriac puree starter which my friends had delivered on all levels. All in all everything was really special, served in a friendly atmosphere. P.S. the wines are wonderful!

Absolute favourite takeaway pizza, always have a great interesting and homemade selection of toppings, and the classics if you’d like those too. Always reasonably priced and much better quality and price than chain pizza places I my opinion. My only disappointment is that I moved house to over an hour away so are no longer regulars! P.s for the coeliacs/ intolerances out there like me, they are more than understandable and willing to cater for dietary requirements - just ask. They were so friendly that when I said I was moving house they gave me free garlic breads which needed using, an absolute win and very efficiently run business who try actually to reduce waste is a winner in mr book. They seem to adhere to all the relent social distances guidelines with pick up slots and so in (call Mobilenumber) so that there are never too many people queuing at on- this ha worded great for me. Absolutely put the customer and health considerations first, really great and safe service in these tough times! Very considerate and can’t wait for our next excuse to come up and get one for tea!

This is the second time we have visited and the food is on point as always. The pizzas are fine along with the rest of the menu. We all ordered the steak and we all agreed that it was a great and unusual steak experience. It was a bank holiday weekend and we had been out in Wylam for a couple of beers prior to our meal so a little tipsy. However, a middle aged, thin and dark haired waitress served us. She was rude and obnoxious. She mixed up orders and decided to not get us drinks we ordered. She came across as the owner of the place and made us feel like “pond life”, we spent good money as it’s pretty expensive, but we are strong believers in that you pay for what you get. The food is absolutely worth the money but the service is below average. We won’t be going back and thanks to the waitress for spoiling our night!

Fab little gem of a restaurant, wonderful for family's in the early evening or something a little bit more romantic later on. Food is superb, dietary requirements catered for (great gluten free base) and staff couldn't be more friendly or attentive. Eat in or takeaway. I've never seen the place quiet, booking is a must for Friday and Saturday evenings. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed!

Superb little restaurant / takeaway. While the menu is a little on the restricted side, the quality of the food is outstanding. The pizzas eclipse any we've had in this country and are on a par with those you get at a quality restaurant in Italy & Slovenia. Prices are excellent. No weekend in Wylam is complete without a trip to The Boat House and this fantastic restaurant.

I absolutely love this place! The pizza is amazing - as good, if not better, then why we've had in Italy - and there are always some some wonderfully unusual topping combinations on the specials menu, using local and seasonal ingredients. I almost don't want to shout too loudly about it for fear of it getting so busy we can never get in again!

This place is very good. Homely and with a great atmosphere. The main feature is a wood burning pizza oven which is what pizzas should be cooked in. A game of golf at Close House, a beer in The Boat House and a visit to The Wood Oven. Hard to beat!

Decided to try following the reviews on TripAdvisor but nearly gave up looking for it. It was difficult to find due to no visable signage from the road side. So glad we persevered though, although it was busy inside we were taken to a table straight away. We both just had a pizza as a main course and it was one of the best ever pizzas in a relaxed but lively atmosphere.

The Wood Oven don't just serve standard pizzas like Hawaiian, chicken a mushroom etc; they serve ones that will leave your mouth watering. As the name suggests, their pizzas are cooked in a traditional wood oven rather than being hurried through a belt driven toaster as some are. The staff are friendly and accommodating too.
