Excellent in all aspects. Staff were super friendly and very accommodating. Food was superb and excellent value for money. I also really liked the ambiance and feel of the place. We were a large family party and we had an early 6pm booking and even at that time the restaurant was busy which speaks volumes for how popular it is. Definitely worth a visit and will be going back in the near future.

My family and I love it here. We’ve been twice and both times the food has been gorgeous and the staff have been fantastic. Staff are super friendly and nothing is ever to much. The kids menu is perfect and the portion sizes are great! My niece is a very picky eater and the restaurant recreated a dish for her which she loved. A fantastic restaurant and we will definitely we back again!

Recently celebrated my birthday here with my family. We had such a great time! The food was gorgeous, the best bruschetta I’ve ever had. The staff were all lovely and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff or the owner. I have recommended Papi’s to so many people already! Will most definitely be coming back again soon.

Stopped off after a Dr Who day in Cardiff. All 4 of us had a 3 course meal and every single dish was outstanding. Service was friendly and welcoming too!

Just been for lunch. Lunch for two including two drinks was less than £30 and was excellent! Pleasant service, clean and tidy,?and food was very good. We each had tapas, so 3 items each. All chicken tagine, chicken souvlaki and the lamb kofta were all excellent. The vegetarian dishes were Nachos, Fetta Borek, and crispy potato skin. Again, all very good although if I were to be critical the potato more than skin, and wasn’t as crispy as it could be, but overall this bistro is excellent value for money and I will be going back to try their a la carte menu soon.

Great selection of meals on the starters and main menu, good service and draught beers available. The House Rose wine was also very good. The only let down for me was.. My meal wasn't made with fresh pasta. (Just out of the bag dried boiled pasta). But other than that was very tasty and a great meal out. 👍

Great meal, brilliant service, cracking mushrooms starter, pan-fried chicken asparagus with mushroom sauce and pots, courgettes and plum Toms was out of this world, ice cream to finish, all round a fantastic meal and a good price as well, one happy diner ☺

On reading all the other reviews and having heard good things about the tapas. It must have been a rare off day. Appreciate it was a Sunday and Sunday lunch replaced the tapas menu so we ordered from the main menu. Unfortunately both dishes were mediocre. That said, the staff were friendly and the decor clean and fresh looking. We will be back and try again. Everyone deserves a second chance..

After trying Tapas Saturday which was fab we booked for to tonight and had pizzas. Both meat lovers and marinara were superb with lovely crusty bases. We failed to finish but shared a homemade tiramisu which was the lightest I've ever had. We can't recommend them highly enough and the staff are do friendly and attentive but not in an annoying way whatsoever. We'll be back again soon. Thanks guys for another fabulous meal

Great lunch at Papi’s today! Sea bass & seafood risotto both delicious & served by friendly, attentive staff. The restaurant is family friendly & has a relaxed & happy atmosphere & is a real asset to Caldicot. We look forward to visiting again soon.

The service was great as was most of the food and. Just the presentation and some of the quality was lacking. Overall, very satisfactory, but not excellent overall. The fillet steak was amazing, but the vegetables and potatoes let down the dish. The calzone, starters and wine were spot on.

(Translated) A restaurant that I, who loves Italian food, chose for today's lunch. The lunch menu is also quite rich. There is also a children's menu. The trebbiano I drank in a glass is also delicious, and the service is pleasant, so my expectations are high. We ordered seafood risotto and 3 tapas. Hmmm delicious heeee. The olive oil used casually is also of good quality. Happy! My Italian radar was hit again this time. Additional carbonara order. Boiled and salted, it's a good rule of thumb. Hmm happy. Recently, I've been addicted to the eccentric behavior of always ordering espresso when I go out, so I order espresso. Delicious! I don't know when the next visit will be, but I definitely visited for dinner next time. 4 out of 5 stars. Please stop by when you visit Wales.
