We stopped here a few days ago and decided to have breakfast. My Husband had the large breakfast & a latte, I had scrambled egg on toast & a hot chocolate. All of the food was hot, fresh and tasty, ans we didn't have to wait too long. Reasonably priced (we are used to paying 'London' prices). Staff were all friendly and polite. It's a really nice building with lots of photographs showing the history of the area. Definitely recommend this place and we will be going back again by the end of the week!

We had a lovely half an hour here mid walk. Food looked amazing. Big outside area for extra tables. Service was a little slow and no gluten free option for cake 🥺 however there were for a lunch. It was peaceful and fun to watch the dogs and little ones play. A few big trees for shade. If I lived here I'd go regularly but take my own cake.

These guys do amazing stonebakes pizza and nice burgers too. They have a fully stroked bar and a nice big beer garden. Great place for a chill bite or pint after a day at the beach, you can also take a walk around the Old Fort.

Hidden gem we went on holiday to Ryde and found this place by accident as it's slightly hidden. Did the golf and 2 rounds of golf for £5 a good course and was empty while we played. The food was also very nice and service was friendly and good. (We went somewhere else for food on our second night and now wished we just came back here for a second night)

Love the toy shed and trampoline in the garden, big help when trying to entertain small children and means you can actually relax with a quick drink. Location close to playground, green spaces and beach make it a good place to stop off for refreshments.

Lovely spot for a spot of breakfast or brunch, choice to sit out the front or out the back if you want it to be more private, lovely food all cooked fresh with a little bit of entertainment for the kids too whilst you wait/eat. I've been a few times and it is a lovely location not far from seafront. There is spacious outside seating. Unfortunately most recent visit marred by very late service. 4 of our table were served within 20 minutes but the fifth had to wait another 20 minutes for his food. No apologies or even updates for this were offered. There aren't many staff but they weren't busy at the time.

We came across this cafe by chance as we weren't able to get a table at a nearby beachfront cafe. It was a pleasant surprise. There were loads of tables outside on a lawn as well as space inside. We only had sausage rolls and coffees but they were well prepared and served quickly.

Disappointing compared with visits of several previous years. Drinks in garden ok but choice of menu limited and sorry to have a good burger served to table in a takeaway polystyrene box making it very difficult to eat. Why no china plates? A lovely little café in a beautiful park with indoor and lots of outdoor seating, there's also a large children's playground and a 12 hole crazy golf course, there is also plenty of parking (pay and display) and it's just a short walk to the beach. I definitely recommend going there.

Re covid I think they should have both main entrance doors open esp when was so hot that way there would b a gap between people leaving and entering. To be fair it was a very hot Bank. Holiday .

Food is good and short walk from beach and the historic batteries, also has a small mini golf course. The seating inside is rather worn and old and the building appears run down. The food and drinks are not expensive and is good for families with seating out the front of the cafe in a nice garden next to the mini golf or out the back of the cafe with a marque for cover. The outside seating is basic metal chairs which can be uncomfortable. Service is reasonably fast.

A lovely and lively park with plenty to do. The tea room is large with a large menu and lovely cups of coffee (my personal favourite) oh and the hot chocolate is Costa Coffee's standard (so is the coffee but the HC needed a mention). There's a nice sized park for the children, a pitch and putt, a full sized tennis court and a nice walk to Ryde beach. There is another cafe on the beach but the prices are extortionate compared to the tea room. Also it's quite snobby, but that's my opinion. Go to the Tea Room and you won't be disappointed

Amazing variety of quality homecooked food, extravagant selection of cool drinks including the Freakshakes and beautiful, well kept gardens to enjoy our food in. The staff were so genuine, helpful and polite. Definitely returning, must visit if you're on the island on holiday, keep the kids entertained with the golf, tennis and the park. Love it!

Great little cafe in Puckpool Park. It stays open until evening, so we often go there if we have time to spare before catching the ferry back to the mainland. The crazy golf was always a favourite with the kids when they were young, and they still want to have a go on the replacement course even though they are now all grown up.

"Don't miss the Ice Cream!" The Barracks is a hidden gem, tucked away, a short walk from the beach. You can drive straight to it's door, or stroll alonng the seafront from Ryde. It has a car park, and is the perfect place to stop for a bite to eat while entertaining the family. Outside is Mini Golf, a child's play park, a skateboard mini ramp, and of course the old battlements. All surrounded by manicured lawns. Try the pizza's bit definitely don't forget to try the Ice Cream: a scoop of Banana and a scoop of Toffee will be the highlight of your day!
