Booked in advance for my mother's 70th. For a table of 13. When arrived place was full and very busy which shows how much this place is loved by many. Price is expensive but don't mind once in a while. Place has been here for years! Has selection of steak,chicken, pastas and seafood. I picked seafood as I only eat halal meat which they do not do. Very nice flavours. You can have starters, mains and dessert. Not much selection of dessert. There was 2 different cheese cakes, tiramisu and ice cream. Would recommend.

What a great find in Newport. Down here for work and been here 2 nights in a row. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Highly recommended if you like Italian food. One of the best Italian restaurants I've been to outside of Italy.

Went with my partner for a 'spur of the moment ' evening out. Absolutely delighted they could fit us in as we hadn't booked & they were full. Food was stunning - as has always been the case on the many occasions I've dined here over the years. Calamari never fails to whet the appetite for the main course, which on this occasion was the slow roasted pork belly (definitely recommend). Vittorio's is the perfect place for couples, families, celebrations with comfortable and relaxed atmosphere with plenty of choice for all.

Is this place actually in Newport? Feels too good to be true to be honest. Let me tell you: I have been to Naples and tried their pizza and Vittorio's comes pretty damn close. The decor and staff are very warm and the whole vibe is super relaxed and friendly. Also, try the pork belly, the flavours are to die for.

Let me tell you, let me tell you: Vittorio's... WOW! I'm what I like to call a "Pizza Lover", you know? I've tried many, many pizzas. Vittorio's: WOW! Extremely authentic, great balance between the beautifully crafted tomato sauce and the fresh mozzarella. The main star of the show however is the beautifully light dough. A crispy and cloudy texture at the crust and light and digestible throughout the undercarriage. If you live in either Newport of Cardiff or nearby either this little gem is a MUST TRY!

This was our first meal eating out after the lockdown restrictions and we wouldn’t have gone anywhere else for that first meal! It was so lovely to be able to go back into Vittorio's. We went here with friends years ago so we thought let's go back and things don't appear to have changed from the staff to the excellent food. Best Italian in and around The Newport area. I had beautiful calamari to start, followed by pork porchetta (large chunk of pork) and seasonal vegetables and home made Tiramisu for dessert, to drink it was Aperol Spritz and to end a double espresso. Everyone had great food and enjoyed the ambiance we won't be leaving it so long to go back.

This is my favourite restaurant in Newport. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced for the quality. The lady that always serves us is really friendly and always remembers us and our order and always goes out of her way to make sure we have everything we need. We visited Vittorio's for a large family celebration and it was fabulous! Waiting staff were really experienced, attentive and friendly. A lovely menu selection and the food was delicious. Great value kids menu and little puzzles for them to complete at the table. The portions were a really decent size, so very satisfying! Even the kids pizzas were big and their leftovers were kindly boxed up for us to take home. Lovely atmosphere, plenty of space, great food and a really enjoyable evening. 5 Stars!

Met with some friends this evening and as always we had a fabulous meal at Vittorio’s. It was busy - very busy for a Tuesday - but staff were attentive. It’s a fabulous, little restaurant serving Italian food and pizza. A really lovely ambience and excellent quality food. We had the Arrabiata, Lasagne and Carbonara. All three meals were delicious and we finished up with a shared Tiramisu. The quality of food is always so good and the fact that the place was packed on a Tuesday night just speaks for itself.

Nice food and venue however service makes a real difference at a restaurant and feel it was lacking. One of the special things about going to an Italian is having the parmesan and black pepper offered to you and put on by the waiter, however we had none of this, even when we asked we were just given a little pot and ground pepper. When we asked for the bill we had to go wait by the till. Just seemed a bit lacking unfortunately, not the typical Italian experience we love.

Excellent little Italian restaurant in Newport, extremely friendly members of staff. We arrived past 10pm we could not find anywhere with the kitchen still open on a Saturday night, driving around Newport we stumbled upon this little gem. We were greeted with a brilliant smile and the best customer service you can get. The food was quick the atmosphere was relaxed and the food was fresh and very tasty. Would absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone who's either hungry or looking for a late night dinner like me.

A range of pasta dishes were ordered but were fairly bland and didn’t quite match their menu descriptor . Such as no cherry tomatoes in the salmon pasta. Also felt quite crowded inside.

The only thing that let it down was that there were many mistakes made such as taking us to the wrong table with other people, bringing over the wrong drinks/food multiple times and then incorrectly pulled our bill together. Beautiful looking restaurant and a lovely ambiance. It was our first time going and was a really slow service from start to finish. We were in there for 1 hour 45 mins just for a starter and main. We were watching the same long wait times on other tables too. The food was ok, but we found it lacked flavour. Generously giving 4* as they could have just been having an off day with low staff etc. There seemed to be some regulars in the restaurant which suggests it is a good place to go. However, we won't be returning.

I really like this restaurant, food is delightful; you can eat a straightforward, but authentic, pizza or an interesting and tasty special. I am currently sitting here having eaten some of their homemade fennel sausage, splendid with fresh chilies, but have had celebration meals here too which have been up to the occasion. Service is unhurried and friendly, staff make you welcome but dont pester the life out of you. Great value for money, get yourself down here to support a local independent who is going to give you a good experience at a reasonable price.

Almost perfect! Went on a celebratory date with my boyfriend. We are a gay couple and weren't made to feel unwelcome. if it wasn't for the barman forgetting drinks and giving us the wrong drinks it would have been perfect. The food was delicious, the staff very friendly, even when they asked to move our table due to a large booking coming, they were very polite and apologetic. When calling to reserve the table they were very approachable and lovely. Parking outside was free for as long as you like after 6. Only one criticism is that the food was a little over priced, however we plan on returning.

Fabulous! After being grumpily turned away from another Italian restaurant in the Newport movie complex ("we're full", even with a few empty tables was the excuse) we drove a short distance to Vittorios. Anna the proprietor exuded warmth and went out of her way to accommodate us. The food was excellent. Freshly made, the lasagne and pizzas were top notch. Service was attentive and faultless and the drinks ice cold on this hottest day in UK history. Pricing was really good too. I highly recommend this superb establishment and will return soonest! From the moment of entering on a busyish Saturday night I was well looked after by staff who gave their time easily and pleasantly to meet one's needs. The waitress was quick to respond to my need to order and leave a bit on the quick side. Each course was tasty. I started with the minestrone which included beans (cannelloni) which had an enjoyable healthy rustic taste. This was followed by a seafood pizza (Anchovies , king prawns and mussels): the anchovy blended with pizza cheees was delicious . I ended with a Sorrento gateau which was in its turn also delicious. Ristorante Vittorio is one of my two best Italian experiences eating out in numerous palces in Britain.

I am a regular at this place and I thoroughly enjoy every visit, the starters are wonderful including fresh sardines in flour crumb and lemon and a wonderful rice cheeseball called anacroni (?). That is the kind of hearty food you want in a cold wet winter. I also love the Meatballs, whenever I go with my girlfriend we can't choose which starters to get so we get them all. Then the mains, the steaks are really good, so is the veal; everything has that fresh chef cooked flavour to it and there is a sensible wine list to go with it. My favourite at the moment is the Pizza Diavolo, but ask me next week and I will have a different favourite, perhaps the veal milanese, or the lamb cutlets, so tender and fragrant. Well after all that you will want a dessert and they have a fridge full of great desserts, you can look at them through the glass of the display cabinet. Every one is a winner, the Suchard of chocolate, the profiterroles in white or milk chocolate, or my favourite the tiramisu. I have tried them all, sometimes on the same night. If you order too much it is not a problem, they will box it for you just like in the States. Service is always pleasant, sometimes there is a little wait but never too long. There are plenty of tables but there is never any overcrowding. I have read some negative reviews, but I can't believe them, I must have gone here maybe 50 times and I have never known a bad dinner, there is of course some fluctuation as you would expect with freshly cooked food, but only between very good and excellent. I suppose some of the negative views come from people who sadly don't know what good fresh food is supposed to be like. As someone who has eaten in Michelin starred restaurants all over London and beyond I know good food. This is good food.

Food was beautiful as always but only putting 4 starts as when it came to my bill the owner marched me to the till and found this really intimidated never seen her there before so would say best you stay from there and let your staff do there job !
