I had a Pasta with prawns. Quality was excellent, though it isn't much, so a starter would be needed to fill you up atleast. Location and interior looks great. I'd go for the two course meal next time (£13,99).

Table reservation was not available upon arrival but manager soon resolved the issue. Friendly staff with great selection of foods and drinks. Cocktails are well worth trying. Made our bday celebration a good night out thank you. Hope you enjoyed the bday carrot cake !

We had some very particularly picky eaters amongst our group. Bella catered for everyone, including a full menu devoted to gluten free meals (not just a couple of items on the standard menu). Everyone enjoyed their meals, service was quick & servers attentive. Will definitely return

Breakfast quality is very mediocre in quality, not warm at all and the pancake stack is NOT A STACK it is only 3 small pancakes that are cold and the syrup is not warm either. They also don't know how to do poached egg properly and it's not very good either. The only good thing they had was the coffee and it is not noted on the menu that it is a very small portion but the quality is boondoggling. Would not reccomend at breakfast times maybe real times are better and the bananas are not good either

First visit since the recent refurbishment and it looks brighter and less cluttered, so a good job. The service here was always good and that is still the case. The menu had changed over the years possibly getting smaller? Still plenty to choose from and it tasted fine. We part paid with Tesco vouchers as did several other tables do the value is good. Would I go without them? Maybe. Enjoy your visit.

Good food, average service The food here is really good, but they are letting themselves down with their service. The food is fresh and is of good quality at a reasonable price. When it comes to being served, they walk pass you constantly while you are stood in a door way, to then finally say you will need to wait 20 minutes. After waiting 30 mins at the bar looking round at constant empty tables, you are told your seat is ready and they just point where to sit and you have to go yourself. They then let you know that there will be 40 mins wait to cook a pizza and that they only have 1 oven. This has happened a couple of times now and unfortunately I won’t be back until they can sort their service issues out.

The smaller starters are alot smaller than they used to be, but next time I will just order a couple instead of one. Prices do reflect the smaller portion though. Service very friendly and helpful, mushroom starter came with bread however it was dry and solid, asked for it to be changed but told all bread was like this, you could tap a tune on the side of the plate, shame because mushroom dish was delicious. I had calzone but was not as nice as previous visit just seemed to be all mozzarella and nothing else. Probably won't go for a while and will check other reviews before returning. Overall bit disappointed as previous visit to bella was very good.

Lovely restaurant, quite sizeable, varied choice of foods available and portion sizes are reasonable. You can get a doggy bag for your pizza if you cant finish it all.in my opinion what lets it down now are the prices of the drinks which are ridiculous, and the poor quality of the desserts which they buy in rather than making fresh themselves. I had a cookie with gelato in it. First of all it was half a cookie. Secondly the gelato that was supposedly meant to be sandwiched in was non existent... a teaspoon if i was lucky. Poor show... the other dessert which was meant to have rhubarb ... basically had such a minute amount i dont know why they bothered. Expensive for ill thought out desserts.

Visited once inside seating was allowed again. Staff were so friendly and welcoming we really felt like they missed being there. Food was very different from before, with a new menu but they explained the new starters and we tried a couple, both were really tasty. Our waiter recommended the arancini and they were really nice. Our favorite dishes were no longer on the menu (the prawn pizza :-( ) so our waiter talked through some of the other options and I tried the prawn pasta which was amazing. Shared a tiramisu to finish and that really ended our lunch nicely. Manager remembered us from before lockdown which was a nice touch. Will be back soon. Good value and delicious food. Thanks :-)

We’ve been here numerous times over the last 5 years and time after time it exceeds our expectation. The staff and the manager really cracked great food and customer service. By the far the best chain restaurant in Northampton, look forward to our next visit!

A week ago I asked my little boy (who’s nearly 3) what he wanted for lunch after coming out of the cinema. He said he wanted pizza. I looked around and saw a Pizza Hut so headed over there. They had a table but just as we were about to go in I realised I’d left my bag in the car so we went to get it and by the time we got back they had given our table away. My little boy was so upset and didn’t understand why he couldn’t have a pizza so kept crying as he thought he’d done something wrong. (Of course I told him this wasn’t the case) so I’m in a panic trying to find somewhere to get a pizza for him. It was one of the eat out to help out days and I knew I was going to struggle. I decided to go to Bella Italia and try my luck. The gentleman at the door was absolutely wonderful and so accommodating to us. Especially to my little boy who had been upset so it meant a lot to me. We quickly got our drinks and meals and everything was delicious. I was so happy he got his pizza and we had the best day together. So we decided to go again today and bring my husband along as well as he had a day off. Again everything was just wonderful, food was amazing and our server, Goran I think his name was, was just lovely. Couldn’t recommend it enough. Thank you all, you’re doing a brilliant job!

We did the bottomless pizza offer. This runs between 12 and 9pm Monday through Thursday. Choose your first pizza and then they bring you more on a rotational basis until you ask them to stop. For the brave, you can also do the bottomless prosecco. This is an additional £15 per person. Only downside is that you only have the table for 90 mins. Will definitely return.

Service was good, I ordered a vegetarian pasta dish that mentioned creamy and spinach as well as mushrooms. It was like eating just boiled pasta, not exactly creamy, no spinach just a sprinkle of rocket leaves. It didn't particularly taste of anything much, except just boiled pasta. The portion was just under what I would expect to be served. And that was about £14. Not exactly impressed. I'm not going to rush to go back there.

Starters tasted good and were a generous size. Unfortunately my main meal only had half of the ingredients on it that the menu stated it should contain. There was hardly any chicken or pancetta in my pasta and it tasted very plain. Definitely not worth the price. When the food came and I complained, I was told that they had ran out of Parmesan and Prosciutto which the dish was supposed to have on it but we had not been told this before we ordered. They had ran out of all types of pizza by 8pm. The women’s toilet was out of use and so we were told to ask for the key for the disabled toilet at the bar and use the disabled. I thought this was ridiculous, especially during a global pandemic as there was no way you could use the toilet without touching the key that everyone had to use. I understand that they were very busy but serving a half-hearted meal is just not good enough and the lack of safety regarding Covid-19 was poor when it came to using the toilets. When we paid the bill we were forced to touch the card machine despite trying to pay with contactless as there was an option to leave a tip.

The service was very slow but they warned us on arrival. The food was fine... just needing salt and pepper. They could have done with more service staff. The tables weren't cleared regularly resulting in the teenagers knocking over 1 drink and another one breaking a wine glass. I hope the waiter got the "service charge". The gluten free meal was well done. All in all it was a wonderful outing.

More expensive than the likes of Hut for example, but in my opinion better quality pizzas, but then again you get what you pay for. I have not tried their pastas yet, maybe next time.

It's a shadow of the former business. Options have been pretty much pared back to pasta and pizza (cheap to produce with high margins) . The smaller 'tapas' style starters are not worth the money and the portion size of the mains has shrunk. I understand the business is trying to survive, but fleecing the public is not the answer.

The price was not too expensive for the quality and we will defiantly make a return.

Food and service was great as always, in line with other Bella restaurants. Managed to squeeze our table of 5 in during busy hours. Catered well for special food requirements. Did order a passionfruit martini which was awful (they put the prosecco shot in the cocktail) but other than that had an enjoyable evening.

Lovely waitress, food was bland. Ordered pizza bread to start, it was rock hard and greasy. Mains pizza was bland, tomato base wasn't appealing and flavourless. Mousse dessert wasn't mousse at all but solid chocolate. Menu has very little option I.e hardly any fish dishes or vegetarian, all seems to be meat. Waitress was great, lovely and friendly. The food however is going more and more down hill. Even with 40%off mains, the total bill paid was not worth the food we received.

It's a long time since I ate here because I wasn't impressed. But this location has obviously recently had a refurb and it has a great feel inside. More importantly, the service staff were excellent, the food of good quality and we really enjoyed our evening there.

I had the mushroom pasta and it was incredibly bland and the pasta was all stuck together (gluten free so hard to cook though). Great for gluten free and vegan options, but just a typical Italian chain restaurant.

We’ve been jere when it’s quiet and when it’s busy and everytime their service is just as quick, last time it was extremely busy and I could barely believe how quickly food was served. We had vegan menu but we received cow milk for the tea. :) Staff: Florian - nice guy but : too slowly ( just 6 customers inside), we received tea after 20 minutes despite I seen that it was done after 3 minutes. He likes watch woman's breasts ( me too but not at work. unprofessional) after starters we didn't receive forks and knifes before main courses.

Visited on a Tuesday evening and was very pleasant also menu has been updated with some lovely meals. Not too busy at the time so service was great! I had a chicken alforno and my husband had calzone which we both enjoyed thoroughly. It's the first time I've been back here in a long time because it wasn't so great years ago and the menu choices were bad for an Italian in my opinion. But looks like they have improved everything overall so I will definitely be going back in future. It's great for couples,families and groups. We a family meal with 11 of us all food was delicious. The children's 3 course meal is incredible value for money. Gluten free meal was fabulous I chose cabonara and the waiter apologised for the wait but it was literally two minutes behind everyone else it was not a problem. As a long term customer, I would love to say all good things, but sadly I can't give this 5 stars for a few reasons. Let me start by saying, the food is good and the staff are friendly, BUT the company are getting tighter and the value for money has continued to get worse. I appreciate todays climate might be trickier, but making portion sizes smaller and smaller, to avoid putting the prices up is underhand and annoying. I wonder if it's because most of the people who seem to eat here use Tesco Vouchers (and those it seems are only worth 3 x now and not 4 x) so to see the portion sizes get reduced as well, makes this one to miss in future for me. Shame, as I quite like it but value for money is not good nowadays.

Well they didn't do anything wrong, but I still came away thinking that something wasn't right. The kids' pasta looks gray, despite being made from yellow and red ingredients. Excellent service and friendly and attentive staff. My first question was "do you make the pizza base yourself?" This was due to a bad experience at Bella Italia in Uxbridge. I was pleased to hear that they did and that some of the staff were italian - meaning they take pride in their food. This was a totally different experience and I wholly recommend them as the Gorgonzola pizza bread was crispy and tasty, my pasta was authentic and all other dishes were approved by my family. A lovely atmosphere, I am sure is as a result of an excellent manager. From the telephone booking and "thank you for booking", I was impressed by their care and attention. Nothing to fault apart from running out of pizza boxes for us to take the remnants home with us - delicious.

Not impressive from the outside - the car park is so rutted and broken, with deep hollows and ramps that it resembles a moto-cross course. Access for wheelchair users is difficult because of the steep ramp to the door which can only be accessed by mounting a high kerb from the road. Inside things were much better. The food was tasty, well-presented and good value; the service was speedy and the serving staff were very friendly, helpful and most professional. We had a very enjoyable meal at a reasonable price. Overall the experience was marred by the difficulties of access. I also noticed that the Fire Exit at the Northern end of the building opened onto a dangerous drop into the car park. In an emergency this poses a serious hazard and it is worrying that the Northampton Borough Council's premises inspection team have not picked this up.
