I had booked a table online a few hours earlier on the day and the restaurant did not want to honour this booking originally as they had not printed it off. Pizza Express need to sync its website in line with the restaurants bookings. Although I waited a few minutes and was able to be squeezed in. Food was good as ever. Waiting staff do need more training on how to process eGifts correctly however as I had to wait a while to get this sorted.

A small restaurant near to the theatre. Booking generally still required it seemed but lovely staff squeezed us in for a quick pizza before our gig. Very helpful staff helped and advised about pizza express app to enable us to get discount! Brilliant! Service very quick. We had Romano pizzas which seemed very meagre with the topping! The base was delicious but a but more topping would have enhanced the pizza! All in all a nice vibe and lovely staff

I booked Pizza Express for my daughter's 5th birthday party. I had booked for 8 kids but on the day there were 9 in total and the staff happily accommodated the addition. Service was really good, we were given balloons and we brought our own decor. We were also given a secluded area downstairs which is nice especially with kids running around. The kids enjoyed themselves. Thanks to Henrietta, the manager and the chefs for making the day lovely

We visited recently as not been for over 18 months because of lockdown. The menu has changed with a lot of new dishes, so glad to see that they haven't reduced the choice like some restaurants. We both had pizzas (obviously) and they arrived very quickly, albeit they were a bit cold. We asked for the dessert menu and was advised of a few items that were not available due to supply issues. I was excited to see they have added a cheese board to the desserts and was advised it was available, so ordered it. Then I was told it wasn't available. Overall the quality of the food was good, but a bit cold. The service was quick and sometimes too quick as I felt they were rushing us as the staff seemed to want to close and go home. Generally was ok, however this restaurant never seems to keep the same staff. From the manager, waitress/waiters, to the chefs have always never stayed and replaced. Time will tell on our next visit if the staff have again been replaced and the food is actually warm.

Great restaurant for a free business night out provided by my company for free! Food was superb and service was excellent with staff polite and prompt. Food was quickly served and also piping hot and tasty would highly recommend. Parking is touch and go so leave in plenty of time to find a spot.

We had a loveley evening, service was exceptionally good. We didn't have to wait very long between courses. The waitress was brilliant, you could tell she was enjoying her job as nothing was to much trouble. Will definitely call again. A big thank you for a loveley evening.

Great food, both takeaway and dine-in. Dine-in experience is poor - avoid seating at the centre of the room as the air con is blowing cold air; staff didn’t seem fussed to do anything about it. The manager wouldn’t take our order and said to grab the attention of another staff member, poor show. Bella Italia has much better service and great food.

We had a large family booking for Monday 9th August and because of Covid restrictions we were asked to order all of food courses online the day before, not a problem and we did so. We all arrived on time and drinks were ordered, sadly after the drinks arrived the service deteriorated, on the starters, mains and desert some people had to wait a long time. Because we had all preordered I feel this was extremely poor service. The food was good but spoilt by this fact.

Visited this restaurant because the other Pizza Place was fully booked 😂 Pizza Express was more of a Pizza Place than a pasta place. Anyway had some pasta here and it surely filled this hungry belly 😋 But I still wish the other Pizza Place wasn't fully booked because I wanted a sea Bass!! 😂

Went here because the other Pizza Place was fully booked 😂😂 This restaurant doesn't have mush Pasta dish to choose from. Ordered polo pasta... its ok coz my hungry belly was happy 😊😋 but still preferred the other Pizza place because they have Sea Bass !!!! 😂😂😂

Well, I expected a lot more. Pros: They offer a wide variety of vegetarian and vegan. Starters and desserts were lovely, no complaints. Cons: Staff are not enthusiastic when taking customers to their table and walk away before you even sit down. The cleaning of tables after customers left was appalling. We had to sit near mess our whole meal and since the table had kids at it, the floor, as well as the table, needed cleaning. My La Reine was really watery. The crust was okay but the closer to the centre the more soggy the base got. My toppings were actually sliding off as I cut the pizza. Also the amount of black pepper on top was unnecessary. Trying to get a servers attention was awfully hard - we waited 25 mins to get the bill which we regretfully paid £65 for 2 of us.

I came here for a birthday lunch with a friend and was not expecting much after reading the reviews but it was local and convenient. I found it a pleasant surprise the waitress was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and the pudding was awesome. I would happily go again and not let the other negative reviews put me off.

A marvelous 'Superfood Salad' with very moreish 'Dough Balls' and a lovely vegetarian pizza with goats cheese for my partner. The final touch was the free bottle of prosecco 'on the house' because it's my birthday month. As ever, good service. A must enjoyable experience in lovely, intimate surroundings. Visited this branch of Pizza Express on a number of occasions, sometimes eating in but have also had takeaway too. Although Pizza Express is one of the larger pizza chains going I always find the service warm, friendly and professional. One of the best things I find about Pizza Express generally is that the chefs are always accommodating on alternative preferences. I love the fact that they can conjur up old menu items and are happy to swap toppings without question. It's also really good to be able to have a pizza without tomato sauce.... Love the bechemel!! Pizza Express cover most dietary needs, vegan, gluten free and generally picky types!!

It's a pizza express - you pretty much know what you're getting. Having said that, I have just been to a 7 year olds birthday party there, and Pizza Express did a really good job.
