Service was slow to begin with, it was a little over an hour from arriving to receiving starters, (a meal for two). Service from then on was good. The food was excellent and well worth the wait even though a little pricey. Will certainly visit again.

Visited here with friends a few nights ago, the staff were very welcoming from walking in, nothing was too much trouble, the service was a1, food was great and price to match. Been here a few times over the years and always great staff always ready to help and standing there looking for anybody needing help and they get to you fast if you need them. The food is second to none and top quality wine , we had the sweet rose mmmm so good wish I wasn't driving 😋. Recommend to anyone prices are are good for the quality of restaurant it is. Top place. Will go back again.

What can i say. The food is everything you could hope for. The service is excellent very attentive. A little rushed between 1st and 2nd course but its a busy place. That said after the main your left to relax and enjoy the flavour heaven you have eaten and ponder the awesome deserts and coffees. Its a 10 from me cant wait to go back. Do expect it to be busy and loud buts thats italian restaurants after all.

If I could rate Amores Gedling higher than 5* I would ! The food is delicious as always , but it’s the staff that make it , so friendly and welcoming and they go above and beyond . Had to have my daughters birthday a week late due to covid then unfortunately the party that was meant to join us tonight fell Ill So was just me my daughter and step daughter, they made it so special I can’t thank them enough 🙏🏼👏🏻 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Ordered a carbonara that doesn’t mention anywhere it contains onions. It comes and it’s full on diced onion!? Other half is allergic so very lucky we spotted this. Also their AC doesn’t work as it was overly warm we kept our menus to use as a fan and so did plenty of other tables. This aside the restaurant is really nice inside, quality of food or portions were good and plenty of choice for drinks.

We visited Amores for the first time, purely because of its location in Arnold. We found good service, a friendly atmosphere with several Italians and a good selection of food, including vegetarian. I was most impressed with the option of half portions on all mains, as I can't eat a whole pizza or pasta dish and like a salad too. The portions were generous. Although the tiramisu was tasty, I don't believe it was home made though, as it stated on the menu. For the quality and quantity of the food plus ambience, it is good value for money. We'll be going back the next time we fancy Italian food.

Food was really good. Service was.... Less so.... The waitress looked like she really didn't want to be there, couldn't have seemed to have cared less about the tables she was waiting on. We had a big group for a family meal and even when asking if we were ready to order, and we said yes she went off to take 2 other tables orders. One of our party didn't get their main course until everyone else had nearly finished as they had 'forgotten' to cook the pizza. Food is great, service needs some work.

Why can't people just get the simple, things right the calamari was obviously the cheapest frozen produce you can buy along with the onion rings in fact they tasted the same I know its not the Ritz but fresh squid and an onion cost hardly anything and make such a difference. I've been going to Amores for years I'll give it miss now. I told the waitress but I'm sure it fell on deaf ears....

Fantastic pasta dishes and huge portions. Only down side was, as it progressively got busier, we felt less looked after. We seemed to be waiting for desserts, waiting for the bill and then waiting to pay. We will definitely visit again though.

Well that's what I used to think because this place has consistently had great staff and amazing food for the last 10 years or so. Amores has always been excellent. Great food and good service. However our last couple of visits have been very disappointing. The food was still great but the service was appalling. We were put in a corner where the table hadn't even been set properly. Our starters and main came really quickly but then we were forgotten. No service for drinks and not offered desserts. We sat for 20 mins with empty glasses and had to go and ask for the bill as we gave up waiting. The staff were very unfriendly, with the exception of the owner but he disappeared just after we had been seated. It is such a shame as we have had some lovely evenings there but will be giving it a miss at least for a while

Visited Amoré tonight & had the most awesome fillet steak. The only criticism was the starter, smoked salmon & prawns has been considerably reduced in size & quantity the last few times we've been. It was served in a bowl which made it very difficult to cut up the salmon. It used to be served on a plate, which was much better. The waiter & staff were very pleasant & attentive & as usual we will be visiting again soon.

A superb Italian restaurant located in the heart of Gedling, Nottingham. The restaurant is well appointed and has a great ambiance. However the real winner is the menu, from starters through mains to sweets, it is so good. My personal favourite are the steaks, they are second to none and a must have. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

Food is excellent - large selection and generous portions. Good service. It is possible to park immediately outside but limited places. Free car park only 50m away. Nice atmosphere but ambience spoilt by open plan layout. Not the place for a private romantic evening. Still well worth a visit.

My husband and I have visited here on several occasions now and can honestly say it's one of the handful of places we choose to dine out at. The food is delicious, everytime not just occasionally. Quality ingredients and great portions coupled with welcoming, friendly and professional staff what more could you ask for! We recently celebrated there my mother in law's 80th brithday (mum No:2!) and found everyone extra helpful. We appreciated their enthusiasm to celebrate with us on this wonderful occasion. This restaurant comes highly recommended. A big thank you to you all!

12 of our family went here and I've got to say it was amazing, the food was great the service was excellent and a real nice atmosphere, it was my first time visiting here and got to say it won't be the last, everybody cleared their plates from starters to dessert, I would highly recommend this place and the prices aren't too bad either.
