D. S.A warm night in June before 9pm we decided to eat at the Bella Italia. Although there were tables and chairs outside and very few customers , we made the total up to 4 inside , we were told that food was not being served outside which was a bit disappointing. The waiter was courteous and helpful nonetheless.
The calzone and sourdough pizzas we ordered were delicious and could not be faulted, really top quality food, served with a smile and pretty quickly too. My salad was a little sad and my Rosemary fries could have done with some Rosemary but they were crunchy and very tasty.
Overall a very good meal , only let down by a couple of curly carrots and maybe a little bit of effort to seat customers outside when requested. Highly recommend the pizza, really delicious

C.Visited for the first time with my partner. When going to any establishment. Customers service makes or breaks a first impression and I can 100% say, staff where brilliant. Service with a smile and very patient. I'm vegiterian and my partner isn't. I let them know I'm veggie and they gave me a standard menu and a vegan menu so I had multiple choices. For starters we ordered the garlic mozzarella dough bites. Very delicious. For mains my partners had the meat feast pizza, and I have the vegan Carne Mista pizza (seen in picture) both delicious and will have this again. Brilliant first experience and will definitely be returning

R. S.Placed slightly outside one of the major universities in Nottingham this Italian restaurant offers food that is above the average for England standards. Prices are in the standard around 15£ per person for lunch. As an Italian I can say that this is the best attempted pizza I had so far.
A. I.I really enjoyed the lasagne. The fresh orange juice was quite sour - I prefer a sweeter orange juice, but that's just my preference. The pizza was a little dry but tasted good overall. Generally good food and nice place.

Always asked if we needed anything, super friendly, we were first in the restaurant and he placed me and my partner under a lit up tree which added to the amazing vibe already. Sphagetti was not good so ended up not eating it.It was too bland for our taste but Pizza was nice.Had sunset Martinis which were good. E. S.The Italian restaurant where you can really find authentic Italian ingredients and recipes (and if you feel nostalgic, you can still go for some 🍪 doughs or brownies) even if you're vegan.
The interior design improved quite a lot from the last time I have been there, staff as always very warm and welcoming, and able to suggest diverse range of dishes adapting to allergies or dietary restrictions (which can be very rare to find)!
Vegan pizza 🍕 is as much as tasty as normal pizza and easy to digest, with some good options in terms of toppings.
Vegan cheese is the best, the coconut based one, which is beautifully matching with 🍅 or 🍄 and the Vegan Bolognese is available upon request and it's absolutely the best you can find in town.
A plus is to pick up a brownie with the ice cream to have a nice closing dessert and Les jeux sont fait, voilà, supreme!!
I honestly suggest you to go and spend some nice time for a dine out with friends or family.
There are meals deals too if you are concerned about prices, but the quality remains the same, which is a very high level.

T. J.Excellent service and tasty food. Tibor was our host for the evening and looked after us superbly with no pressure or rushing us but was very attentive and did it all professionally and with a smile and humour. It made such a difference to have a host who smiled and look liked they enjoyed their job...absolutely Top Guy and made the difference between an Ordinary evening and a memorable one. A small serving of delicious and tasty Green Olives was eaten whilst I looked through the rest of the menu. The Olives were followed by the main course of a hot bowl of Spaghetti Marinara, which contains Squid, Mussels and King Prawns all served in a tomato and garlic sauce, and the main meal got everything off to a great start. Dessert was a delicious Chocolate Brownie with Vanilla Gelato to finish a very enjoyable night. A big thank you to Tibor (iPad 4) for looking after us so splendidly.

Four stars as the staff were extremely pleasant, so much so that although my pizza was free (I had a Vodafone code), I still left him a few quid tip. What a nice man. My margherita pizza wasn't great, but it was serviceable enough, served quickly and I've certainly had worse things in my mouth. They have a cheap looking lunch offer for £6.99. I thought it a bit strange that they only had one vegetarian pizza out of a big list, and that had goat's cheese on. I'm sure they'll catch up with everyone else soon. I have faith.

We ordered the 3 course set meal at £17.99 you got a choice of 3 options from the starter 5 from the main 4 from the dessert.. and wow! Well worth it. Obviously if you order lasagne there are no extras but the portion was huge. 2 cheeky sides at £4 each was in order. Drink prices was reasonable also £6 a cocktail ❤ go, enjoy!!

D. C.This Bella Italia has always been the worst for slow and poor service but since the management seems to have changed since around 6 months ago it is a much more enjoyable experience.
The one issue that seems to be a common occurrence in every restaurant of Bella Italia is none of the staff want to take your money you can be waiting longer to pay than you did for your food to be cooked which is always very annoying especially when you have places to be.

Service was friendly if not the most efficient but certainly not anything to complain about.
My only complaints are that they were clearly trying to look busy so 5 of us were a little cramped around a table for four even though there were larger (unreserved) tables nearer the back of the restaurant. The air con was ramped up to 11!
Worth a visit though if you fancy a meal rather than a quick bite.

I've been looking at some of the reviews on here and I can't help but wonder if a few of the bad ones are actually from rival restaurants? Every time I've been in there everyone else eating looked just as happy as we were, and when we've spoken to others about it they also think the place is great. The servers are always super friendly and the food has always been a good quality and prompt!

C.Visited here the other day, I have a severe dairy allergy and the staff were incredible, I ordered separately with the help of the manager who instructed all of the kitchen of my allergy, as well as washing his hands before handling my food! I was able to get a pizza with no cheese on it, which was delicious, I’ve never received such amazing service before!
J. F.I was pleasantly surprised by my experience here. The food was fantastic for me and I finished all 3 courses. The staff were amazing, extremely friendly and engaging with us. We came on a birthday occasion and they were hillarious as they sang. We waited not much inbetween all courses. If I were to nitpick, there was a dry piece of squid on my chair when I came in which I got rid of myself. There was a wide enough selection on the menu to please me. This was a brilliant time with such an amazing atmosphere that made my day and I would definitely go again! :D
T. H.A surprisingly large restaurant compared to other Bella Italia’s but still manages to have the excellent atmosphere. Gets very full around 12:30 in the afternoon, but the service was still reasonably prompt.
Certainly would recommend the food, although bear in mind they may have a ~20 minute delay for gluten free pizza, as they have to clean the oven.

N.Me and my best friend went to Bella Italia for the first time today. We got an amazing service. All the staff we spoke to was extremely happy and pleasing to talk to. I asked for a garlic dough bite and it was amazing. I also asked for spaghetti meatballs and it was good and very well served. However my best frie D's pizza was a bit disappointing. Had an amazing look to it but was lacking ingredients and dried and the base was rock solid after cooling down. I still give the restaurant 5 stars cuz the service was ACC incredible and you can't go wrong with the vouchers you can get.
C. C.Lovely meal, great staff, fantastic service. They really went above and beyond. Not only did they make sure we were happy, they saw me, with my baby, heading to the bathroom. Before I got there and realised the door I needed would need a special key, they made sure I knew. When I used my Tesco vouchers to pay, they checked to make sure I wouldn't lose out on any vouchers by giving them too much. Best Bella I've been to.
S. M.Personally, I really enjoyed my meal here (the Sicilian), but other members of my party weren't so impressed with theirs so I have no choice but to drop a star from my rating. One particular member was convinced her lasagna was frozen/microwaved! One thing I'm gutted about is the fact I never checked my emails before paying because I later discovered I had a voucher for '40% off mains'. My bill came to £125 so the discount would've clearly been a great help! Oh well, you live and learn 😂

I had to watch my friends eat and wait 3 hours . It was cold so I sent it back. Another 12 hours for replacement because shop.was closed. Might return when I get my benefits come through .

They have now put up a curtain at the door but when I visited, almost everyone coming in or going out left it open. It was also blowing out with the bitter cold wind.

Service a little on the slow side and exceptionally busy of an evening due to the close proximity of the TRCH and would recommend a visit but book beforehand to get a table on 'event nights' at the theatre.

S. C.Wow...this is the first time here at Bella Italia and my wife and enjoyed the the meal so much. It is our 6th wedding anniversary and want to go some where new instead of the usual Indian so we came here and was not disappointed. We started off with a caramelised onion and mozzarella cheese sharer bread which was devine and for the main course we both had the fresh made Lasagna with a side of fries each. However after the starter we both left some. The staff are very friendly and helpful. When I wented to pay for the meal I was paying by card and the guy put the the price into the machine and when you goto put your pin in it comes up with a gratuity section that you can enter what you want as a tip. Non of the tip is added to your bill already. You can press cancel to not give a tip then enter your pin which I find is better so you can tip as much or as little as you feel they deserve. Such a pleasant evening was had. Oh and on a last note the was not alot of people in when we got there however after 10 mins or so it did get very busy so go early or be prepared to wait for a table.

Taste wise, the Marinara pasta was very tasteless and personally it’s one of the less better pastas I’ve tasted. The pizza was nevertheless quite appetising.
When my friend and I were asking for the bill, we noticed that we had to pay extra for the food. The stuff was kind enough to explain that there’s supplemental charges for the pasta I ordered- which was stated under terms and conditions of Wuntu voucher.

J. M.My sister loves it here. The last time we went was for Mother's Day, and it was lovely, the food was enjoyed by all. I had a very basic dish (Pomodoro) from the Italian Feast set manu, and it was very nice. I'm a fussy eater, so this was only thing I really fancied.
I had the Cookie Dough Al Forno for pudding which I was SUPER excited for, as I love anything cookie dough...but it was disappointing. It just didn't taste cookie dough-ish at all. The ice cream with it was gorgeous, but I didn't have enough of it to eat alongside the cookie dough to mask the weird taste of the cookie dough. My sister, however, LOVED the cookie dough, so it might just have been me!

Firstly we got a friendly greeting from the lovely waitor and when showing us to our table he said that he could find a better one in the corner which he did. The staff were very attentive and we didn't have to wait long for our orders food and drinks. The mojito cocktail with San Pelligrino is delicious and so was my carbonara. It was a relaxing atmosphere and a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of the Christmas shoppers outside. Will definitely return!
