Had the Tagliatelle Ciociara with a bottle of house white, it was excellent.
Great atmosphere, waitress was (busy) but friendly and made us both laugh! Prices very fair, fast service. I recommend highly, going back soon
B. F.
All I can say is wow! £9.95 for any pasta dish and glass of wine between 12-6pm. The pasta is all homemade and the smell is to die for.
Would highly recommend it if you are a fan of Italian cuisine!

One of my fav Italian Restaurants in the city.
Authentic ambience with excellent food.
The Staff are amazing.
The décore is cosy / retro style.

Absolutely fantastic place for lunch or dinner! £8.95 for pasta and wine is an absolute bargain and it all seems to be home cooked and authentic. Will definitely be going again!
R. C.
It was very quiet when I stopped by. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The pasta was clearly prepared fresh and was very nice and the tiramisu was a calorific dream. Overall a nice little restaurant worth a visit.
C. F.
Always wonderful tasty food. Small and cosy atmosphere.
Staff are great, all the food is served to the table together and hot.
One of our favourite restaurants in Nottingham.

Came here for my birthday and wow, I felt like I was back in Italy. The food was absolutely spectacular (I had the spaghetti bolognaise, my friend had the tagliatelle al salmone) and we were blown away; he said it was the best pasta dish he’s ever had! The staff were really friendly and accommodating (if there’s something in a dish you can’t eat, they’ll modify it), and service was really quick. The prices are a bargain for the quality, and the location is lovely; definitely recommend sitting outside during summer! Cannot wait to come back here again.

Lovely little Hockley pasta restaurant. Typical Italian starters (we went for the mixed meat and olive starter) with different pasta and rice treats for mains. We went for a stroganoff and asked if the rice could be changed to tagliatelle. It was no trouble for them to change it. House red and white is lovely no need to go expensive. Then it was a difficult choice over the delicious tiramisu or profiteroles and coffee offer! If you are after a little intimate restaurant or need a pre theatre meal try it out. We hadn't been back since covid struck but were not disappointed returning. As good and attentive service as was before.

Visited for the first time and will definitely be back. Thoroughly enjoyed our food, good service, good portions and great prices. The staff were friendly, the restaurant is located down a lane that's shut off to cars so plenty of seating outside. Will definitely be back☺️

Food: 10/10
Staff: 10/10
Service: 10/10
Ambience: 6/10
Value: 10/10
The service, food and staff were amazing. Very welcoming and the restaurant looked clean and tidy. I hadn’t had the chance to look around or check the toilets, so I can’t really rate the place. There was no music unfortunately. It would’ve made the ambiance and atmosphere a bit better. But overall I was happy with my visit and it was my first time.

Europe Day Monday 9/5/2022
Excellent food and venue the only waitress really worked hard to make sure everyone was looked after and she excelled despite working by herself in a thankless task.
We will be back thank you for your hard work.

Apprantly been open 16 years. Why haven't during my 68 years living in Nottingham been here before now? Will certainly be returning in the not to distant future. Loved it. 👌🥂🍾

Service was incredible as always and the food was so good I couldn't take a picture in time before having a slice of the garlic bread! Would definitely recommend and cannot wait to go back!

Went for lunch with friends from work, 7 of us all together. All our food came out in one go. Very fast service and great food, loved the carbonara. Good choices on the menu, and very decent prices with offers on. 10/10

Lovely little local Italian. Friendly staff, great Spaghetti Carbonara. Great value. Recommend.

Stopped off for a quick meal, waitress was training on her first day, but was properly supervised. Even though they needed some guidance they were friendly and are doing a good job.
Excellent gluten free pasta, there are limited options locally when you have to have gluten free food because of celiacs disease.
Good to see a restaurant being run well, a rarity in the current climate.
S. J.
Friendly staff, very welcoming. Food was nice but could tell it was microwaved and shouldn't have been as expensive as it was. It was ok though, kids enjoyed the pizza, and food didn't take too long to come out.
K. H.
Visited for the first time bank holiday Sunday August 2021. This is a lovely, authentic restaurant. The staff are young, vibrant and very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious and hot. Only slight criticism I have is my carbonara was oily at the bottom, but that’s all. The garlic bread with cheese was to die for. Sadly they ran out of tiramisu so my partner left without eating his favourite dessert 😂
Will be back very soon, and would definitely recommend.

A. S.
Love this place. Its very small but never struggled to seat us without a booking. The staff a lovely and very welcoming. The wine is so nice. I've had food here once and it was very nice. Very much recommended.
T. G.
Pasta to die for! My favourite place in Notts for it. Amazing stuff from Dolce. Great service too. Highly recommend. There's a great offer on pasta and a glass of wine during the day which is worth checking out. Might be worth calling ahead because it's not a huge space.
A. K.
Good food, average service, considering the small number of clients , maybe was late...
I ll try again though as food was good and surprisingly the house wine not bad at all ( just wanted a glass) but no other option of glass wine.
J.
Loved this place. Such good portions. Food was delicious, service was good. It’s cute and cosy. Went on a Sunday with my Mum and managed to get a deal that was a pasta dish & a small glass of wine for £8! Definitely recommend & will be going again!
F. D.
Is alright for wath I can say. Is that type of restaurant that you go once or twice a month.
E. W.
Good food and drink. Excellent service and nice atmosphere. A very pleasant time.

Dolce is our absolute favourite restaurant! We were so happy to return last night and to see the restaurant busy :) The food and service was fantastic! Highly recommend supporting this independent Italian restaurant.
K. A.
Not a fancy place but lovely food, reasonably priced as it the wine. The staff were friendly too. It's a good place for couples or groups. We were a group of seven and all the food was served at the same time which doesn't always happen. If you like Italian, I recommend it.
K. C.
Loved the food & service was great ! Reasonable price too.
A. R.
Fab pasta good service plenty of out door space.
L.
So me and my boyfriend ended up going here as a spare of the moment thing and I’m so glad we did. The prices are incredible for the quality of food that we got! It’s such a super cute, authentic place! We both loved it and try to go whenever we can!
C. S.
A great place to eat, freshly cooked food, prices are really low. We have been going there for years, always get a lovely welcome
L. J.
Very adverage, used to be very good, too many corners cut, cold plates, not good staff a bit disengaged, wont be back
F. H.
Lovely meal, and great service.
M. V.
Extremely good value and efficient service in a very central part of town. Food is nice, but nothing surprising or very high quality.
G. B.
A delicious meal as always at this Italian. Lovely hot food delivered with a smile. Nice friendly staff and didn't have to wait ages for meal even though it is cooked fresh. One of our favourite places to eat lunch.
J. F.
Had lunch here with my daughter and son and arrived in the nick of time before the world and it's dog rocked up. Good service, reasonable portions and reasonable Italian style grub (if you include beef stroganoff). So it got busy but the service wasn't impaired and the coffee was actually ok. Lunch for around £12.00 per head. Not bad ehh.
C.
The place was really quiet and cozy. The food came fast and was very tasty. Staff was nice, too. We were still a bit hungry afterwards and ate the homemade Tiramisu, which was really good. 4 Stars because the portions could be bigger.
S. B.
First time we have tried dolce and went in without booking, the owner was very friendly and found us a table food was amazing and well priced. All of the staff were very friendly and made you feel welcome. We will definitely be going again but would recommend booking first.
C. W.
Food nice enough and service is ok. But I often think the toilets says a lot about somewhere. I can't speak for the female toilets but the gents were disgusting. Not just the lack of cleanliness, but they were quite literally falling apart. I only hope the kitchens are kept cleaner.
E. W.
One of my favourite spots in town to head over to when with friends or family and wanting a cheap but good quality proper meal. Always had very friendly servers and quick service, along with a lovely atmosphere and tasty tasty food.
S. C.
Always a warm welcome by the staff . Top recommended dishes are the pasta special offers , which includes a glass of house wine for £7.99 . My particular favourite is the lasagna which is home made and is of a very high standard , not too gloopy like a bought in one , but a high meat content and plenty of pasta layers . The atmosphere is romantic / rustic and intimate , with low level lighting, for that perfect date or a night out with good company . Wine prices are very reasonable and beer is available in bottles , coffees are available also from a traditional barista type machine . Situated in hockley / lace market area , this is one of the best value for money restaurants in the city , and it has it's fair share of regular diners from all walks of life, but on the odd occasion when in the area it would not be unusual to see the odd celebrity i.e David hasslehoff !!!!!!! Yes the HOFF , and he raves about the place !!!!! and his photo is on the wall of fame along with many visitors who have posted one for a thanks of a great night out . The menu has a good selection of traditional Mediterranean fayre plus veg and vegan options all at reasonable prices , a lot of effort has been made to provide a good quality meal for a sensible price by the owners who are , totally independent !!!! I am sure that if you visit you will not be disappointed . Please note that offers on the wine and pasta meals are subject to conditions e.g . Time's so get there early to avoid disappointment . ALWAYS A PLEASURE TO VISIT I HOPE THEY CONTINUE To DO WELL .
R. W.
This isn’t by any means a fancy place.. However, it really is just nice and easy. Oh! And cheap!! Been here a few times now and the meal and wine for £7 is a bargain... not the best wine but what can you expect?
H. S.
Excellent food and incredibly welcoming staff
J. T.
If you like Italian then this is well worth going to. From entering to the simple layout and décor to the smile faces of the waiters, it has charm in bucket loads. The most difficult decision was what to choose from the menu. The food appears to be cooked to order as it takes a little longer to arrive but is always hot and wonderful and I wouldn't have it any other way. I will be gracing its doors soon again I hope.
M. R.
A rustic and old-fashioned restaurant, food and service are wonderful and the owners clearly take pride in that. The toilets need a lick of paint but otherwise an excellent dining experience. M
L. W.
Beautiful food, service and atmosphere every time I come here! The food is always fresh and super tasty and authentic. Would definitely reccomend this place and I have done to family and friends and they all love it too.
K. T.
Small italian restaurant with delicious fresh food and very friendly staff. Had Salmone Ai Gamberetti (salmon with spring onions, prawns, rice and crean sauce) but also sampled Insalata Di Gamberetti (prawn salad) - both were very tasty and made from fresh ingredients. Visited as a party of 22 people for Christmas meal and everyone was very happy with food and service so can definitely recommend Dolce!
D. P.
Lovely, quaint & intimate, lit by candlelight and perfect for a relaxed meal. Easy, attractive smiles from the friendly waitresses. It's just very... European, the kind of sepia-toned place written about in early 20th century novels.
Fantastic value, very generous portions. Make sure you grab the window table for two and watch The People go by.
In many ways my favourite restaurant in Nottingham.
L. C.
Food very tasty and good value for money. Waitresses always very friendly. Seats are uncomfortable though and toilets need to be updated as look quite dirty and let the place down.
L. T.
Lovely wine and vegetarian lasagna. £8 for a glass of wine and a main was such a good deal at lunchtime in the sun!
a. c.
We ate before going to the Broadway and I feel we have found a treasure. The food was fresh, and delightful with friendly, attentive service. I loved the ambience and the informality of the decor.
U. S.
Fabulous service! We were a large group on a Saturday night coming in just for desserts and drinks. Were made to feel super welcome and the profiteroles hit the spot.

Dined there last night; wonderful restaurant with beautiful food at great prices. Staff very friendly too. Really enjoyed our evening there and can't wait to return.

Visited on April 16th at lunchtime. An unassuming place to eat, but pizza absolutely delicious. The staff are lovely, and there is a welcoming atmosphere. I will be back.
R. C.
Early eaters, so we were there by ourselves. Food was excellent, beer cold.. good for an Australian palate. Service excellent. Top spot.

Love Dolce. Visited many times and the food is always exceptional. Book, drink, eat, enjoy. Best Italian for miles by far.
S. M.
Went here tonight after reading the reviews, all I can say is the reviews need updating, one review states homemade pasta when asked they said that they don't do homemade pasta? Ordered the sirloin steak which was a cheap cut and chewy the only thing that made it better was the tomato sauce on the top, my opinion is I've had better sirloin steak from Aldi. There were plenty of restaurant's busy at the time we entered (5:00 pm) but the Dolce was empty was it a sign? This unfortunately is my honest opinion and such a shame as I was looking forward to eating here.
