The pizza at Mama Mia in Jericho is quite different compared to many other pizzerias in the town. The pizzas here have very thin crust and are mild. Those who prefer their pizza more cheesy or spicy may not enjoy the pizzas here, but me and my wife enjoyed it thoroughly. They also have a special daily menu which is worth trying. The service is quick, but at times very slow (especially during peak hours).

Lovely to sit outside in the street on a sunny Sunday. My spaghetti was really nice and a good size portion at a reasonable price. Staff polite and welcoming. Delightful.

Excellent place. Nice one to go for Italian in Oxford. They have some tables outside which is great if the weather is good. The staff was lovely, good service. They add a 12.5% service charge to the bill but I like that they pay you the courtesy of confirming with you if you are ok with that. Food was nice. Quite big portions so had a bellyful in a reasonable price. Would happily go there again of an evening.

It’s a very friendly pizza place. I always enjoy the garlic cheese bread. The lasagne is very good. The house red wine is very drinkable. There is often a special. The gluten free base is extra and my partner who is a celiac thinks it’s very good.

The restaurant is nice. Customer service is okay, and the food is decent. I got the marsala and it kinda tasted like mac and cheese. The meat was really salty but I am salt sensitive so that could just be me. The pizza looked okay just a little sparce on the add ons. The food quality could be better. Not alot of seating that I could see. Customer service was okay but I don't think our server likes Americans so..... food was kinda expensive for the quality, and not a large wine selection but the wine I got was decent. Expensive for the quality of what you get.

Choice of starters are a bit bland. That is of course, taste related. However, had I known how amazing the pizza and the tiramassu would be, I'd have slipped the dutiful starter. The tarragon on the fungi pizza is a real delight and the tiramassu, also delectable Shall definitely return.... The pizzas are way too good to miss!

We had lunch at Mamma Mia and enjoyed our experience. We tried their bruschetta, garlic bread with cheese (not photographed), pizza and cannelloni. The pizza was good with a nice tomato sauce which didn't make the sauce soggy. The cannelloni wasn't as good as the pizza but still decent. The cheese garlic bread was very good and preferred to the bruschetta. Service was good but a bit hasty but friendly. Overall a pleasent experience!

The pizza was nice but not hot. We ordered a takeaway and were told to wait on the seats outside, which we did. But no one came to get us when the pizza was ready so it was tepid by the time we asked them to check. So that spoiled it a bit. I'd go back, but perhaps for dine in so that doesn't happen again.

Pizzas really tasty and well made. But why oh why do they lie about when it's going to be ready! Ordered takeaway "Be ready in 10 minutes" Had to get there so arranged for 40 minutes. Got there exactly on time, "Sorry, will be 5 minutes" Bloke at a table next to me looking stressed "If I don't get my starter now I'm leaving" "Just coming sir" 10 minutes later... Mine turned up nearly 15 minutes late. BE HONEST. You may be under stress, but don't take it out on the customer.

Went here for lunch, on a Thursday I think. Wasn't too busy, but also wasn't empty by any means. They have a lunchtime meal deal which is pretty good: £8.99 for a pizza and a drink (including house wine and beer), or £9.99 if you want one of the more expensive pizzas (above around £10), which most of the pizzas aren't. I had the Mama Mia pizza, which has more ingredients than I can remember or list but was nonetheless very tasty. The cheesy garlic is also very nice. The service was fast and good, overall a pleasant lunchtime experience.

I collected a takeaway on a Saturday night. There was a slight mix up with our order so they had to make what was missing (gluten free). Sadly all the other food went cold whilst we waited.. But it was a very busy night so I sympathize with their staff. Their Pizza is usually very good though so I would recommend it to anyone. Nice thin crispy base and an excellent menu.

I had high expectations for Mamma Mia Pizzeria in Jericho thanks to a friend’s recommendation. (Maybe he was referring to the Pizzeria in Summertown). For a 15£ pound pizza I got a terribly cooked pizza base with extremely bland ingredients, looking like they have been added at the end and not before going into the oven. The whole pizza is covered in chunks of Buffalo Mozzarella which is quite a lot for an Italian pizza. Hardly any tomato sauce. Definitely not worth the price. Looking for a paradisiac pizzeria in OXF? Order it from Il Principe or The White Rabbit.

My online booking and subsequent phone booking were not updated despite me asking for a confirmation email. It was very busy, and due to their mix up over the booking we ended up being seated next to the very noisy kitchen. Had to shout across the table to each other. Our clothes stank of pizza the next day. Wasn’t happy. Food was lovely.

Very nice thin crispy based Italian pizza. We went with our Italian friend who was very happy as she's a pizza snob 😂 and rightly so! We all modified our pizza's asking for a switch of ingredients and they happily obliged with no issues. The food was very nice and came pretty quickly. We had dessert too but sorry no pictures. One had tiramisu and said it was very nice, another went for a hazelnut and cocoa with chocolate ice cream inside. I had mint chocolate chip ice cream which was how you'd expect it. Wasn't cheap but wasn't pricey either.

First off the cheese garlic bread is just the best Ive ever had... The pasta dishes were good, but honestly the chicken was that cheap kind you get in packets at a supermarket, where it has that rubber look, but tasted ok. Pasta quality wasnt the best, and don't think it was fresh, slightly overcooked. All in all it was a good meal, the staff were nice and friendly, I do object to a 12% service charge, although they asked if it was ok, i felt it was a bit much, when personally eating out is expensive enough.. I will definitely go again mostly for the garlic cheese bread :-p

Dinner at Mamma Mia was an absolute pleasure: on arriving, we were greeted by a friendly waiter who made us feel welcome, briefly explained the day's specials, and gave us just the right amount of attention and space to make our drink and food selections. We shared the Mamma Mia pizza - great combination of fresh ingredients (pepperoni, ham, artichoke, olives, peppers, egg - YUM) and a perfect thin crust - and the Linguine Gamberoni - probably one of the best seafood pasta dishes I've tasted at an Oxford establishment. I was very impressed with the quality and good value of this place (on top of the sincere, friendly service), and am very much looking forward to going back for both casual dinners and special occasions. Much better than any of the high street chain restaurants!

This is probably the best pizza in Oxford but the rest of the menu is good as well. The quality of the take away pizza is not the same as when eating in but that's to be expected as this is proper thin crust pizza and it should be eaten immediately out of the oven.

Always go to Summertown branch and always leave happy but this time went to Jericho and was disappointed. Had that days special and it was tasteless and cold. Had only three bits of calamari and two prawns max. Plenty of mackerel. Pasta was absolutely cold and didn’t taste like homemade. Garlic bread was good! Boyfriend wasn’t impressed with lasagna too. Maybe we will stick with our local Summertown branch.

Fantastic pizzeria in Jericho. Very highly recommended. Mamma Mia has long been my takeaway of choice in Oxford, and the authentic, cosy restaurant experience is well worth a detour if you’re in the area. Kudos goes to the maître d’, who successfully convinced me _not_ to put extra cheese on my pizza — as it would ruin the texture — thus losing out on the industry standard triple-figure markup on extra mozzarella. Considering no one has ever persuaded me not to add cheese to anything once my heart is set upon it, this is a real feat, and testament to the friendly expertise of the staff. I have to make special mention of their gluten free bases, which are so convincingly and uncharacteristically delicious that I initially thought they’d sent me a gluten-y one.

He gave 4 stars only for the preless pasta.
