The location had no covers when I visited. It was clean and tidy. Toilets had a weird stench to them. Service was friendly but the team could have been more attentive as I had to wait a while for the main to arrive. Overall I would visit again.

**Update For Owners Reply** *You are correct the drinks are not included in the kids menu. Apologies! I’ve think the confusion came when our waiter offered them apple/pear or berry juice and we presumed that come with the kids meal!* *Original Review* We had a nice meal here this afternoon with the family. The staff was very friendly and quick service. My wife who has celiac disease ordered the gluten free pizza. She was concerned it wasn’t cooked enough but was assured that is how it comes. Maybe just personal preference but she found the dough abit “sticky”. My pizza and the children’s were great. The children wanted lemonade with there meals instead of the juice from the kids meal menu. Maybe there could be a small price decrease as I paid for the lemonades and the juice in the kids meal, which they didn’t have. Or maybe a bigger choice of drinks on the kids menu. Overall though we had a nice meal and would return. We paid £58 for 2 pizzas, 2 kids meals, 1 starter and 4 soft drinks.

A birthday celebration and a first visit to the Peterborough branch of Pizza Express (home town of their founder, Peter Boizot). As ever, the surroundings were reassuringly familiar, the service efficient and the quality of the food exceptional. Pizza Express have introduced a great new membership scheme on their mobile app with different levels of reward from Bronze to Gold based on your tally of visits. My "Veneziana Classic" pizza is an old favourite, however the enormous Tiramisu dessert was a real birthday treat! My partner had his favourite, the "Calabrese" pizza, followed by a mini dessert "Dolcetti" of Caffè Reale & Espresso. Highly recommended!

Came into the Peterborough restaurant last week, the Assistant Manager Donna, was incredibly helpful and had excellent customer service. Definitely an asset to the team and the company. Good food was produced in a timely manner with no errors. The kids loved it too - especially with being able to see the chefs in the kitchen making the food from where we were seated. Will definitely be returning, everyone is very friendly.

Place looks decent enough and the staff were friendly. Unfortunately we had a long wait for our pizzas (well over half an hour) which dampened the experience somewhat. When the food came the 'thick' base pizza was thin and the thin crust? Virtually non-existent and it tasted of the oven floor. My dad's pizza was pretty horrible for this reason. Everything else was pretty good except the table next to us had kids running in circles round the table. They didn't bump us but the ignorant parents just let their horrid offspring do as they please which was annoying. I suppose that's to be expected in a busy restaurant such as this on a weekend afternoon but shows the level of customer this place generally caters to. So service - OK. Food - Passable. Atmosphere - Passable. I'd love to say nicer things about this place but unfortunately I can't!

If I could have given more stars I would, we had such a lovely visit today. The meal was delicious, and the staff are so friendly. My daughter was quite upset, and the manager came over and got down to her level to speak to her, even took her to make ice cream. Which made my daughter so happy. With her being autistic we are constantly judged when out, when she is struggling, and the manager made us feel so comfortable that I didn’t feel like we had to rush of like so many places have made us feel in the past. All the staff spoke to my daughter in such a kind way. I couldn’t recommend this place enough and we cannot wait to visit again. Thank you so much for giving us a lovely afternoon.

My girlfriend and I went and visited Pizza Express as a late lunch, we arrived at 3pm and were immediately taken to our seats by a lovely waitress named Patricia. A few minutes later she returned and asked if we wanted our drink and if we were ready to order. Our drinks arrived within 2 minutes and our starter, the garlic dough balls arrived about 5 minutes later. Within 5 minutes of finishing that our table was cleared and a few minutes later our pizza arrived. The pizza was perfectly cooked and with a perfect amount of mozzarella it was heaven-sent - a real credit to whoever made it. My girlfriend's pudding was a vanilla cheesecake with vanilla ice cream and strawberry sauce. My girlfriend doesn't like vanilla but actually ate it all. My one gripe was that the menu didn't have desserts on it, you have to ask the waiter. Using a coupon from the website I got the 3 courses for £12.95 and the drinks were £2.60 each for a total bill of £18.15. Personally I feel the drinks are too expensive, as the waiter doesn't even pour it in for you so £2.60 for a 330ml glass of coke with a few ice cubes and a lemon wedge seems quite excessive. Overall the staff are polite, don't harass you while eating and are happy to help. The food is well priced and of very good quality. The only thing letting it down for me is the cost of the drinks. I would very happily go again and would recommend to anyone to go. 4.5/5

im obsessed with all pizza expresses love the food and service, can be very busy on weekends so must book, unfortunately I want to add on my last visit they had no sweet potato for my salad...no peppers ..no strawberry syrup and no mascapone, said that the salad I order every week doesn't come with peppers yet it said it on the menu for an honest review 😆

🍕If you like pizza express then you don't need me to tell you what's good about it. Consistent, familiar, high quality pizzas and accompanying sides, drinks and deserts. 😷COVID19: precautions are excellent with no physical menus, the diner scans a QR code. Selects from the online menu, then orders from the server. Once the meal is over, one simply pays on a simple and fully functional and effective online payment system (at which point you can input any discount codes such as Tesco clubcard voucher codes etc). 🚸Dining with children: Also noticeable in it's absence during COVID 19 precautions is the usual provision of colouring and puzzles for little ones. Instead there is provided a link where small folk can find online activities if that's what you want. Luckily we brought our own colouring 😉 Unfortunately I was reminded of the man reason we don't frequent Pizza express with our kids. With the promise of pizza, for our kids, there are certain expectations. 🚫🍟The first is the accomplishment of said pizza with FRIES Which pizza express unfortunately don't do. Instead they suggested polenta sticks which any child will tell you are not a substitute for fries. 🚫🍍The second may be controversial but for our kids, the addition of pineapple is a MUST (NOT MY CHOICE I HAVE TO SAY) unfortunately, something else which pizza express don't do. All in all, anything negative I have to say is purely a matter of taste. I'd still consider Pizza Express as an option for a date night with my partner or would recommend anyone try it with their kids. It just seems it's not for us as a family.

Pizza was ok... Shame the chef was on his period tonight...He was crashing around all the time we were, giving my wife fright several times... The waitresses however were excellent and knew he had a bad mood on so were very apologetic on his behalf. We also waited more than half an hour for the chef to get his act together before our meal was delivered despite their being hardly anyone in the restaurant. Five stars to the waitresses, not to the chef, but at least the pizza was edible (even though the chef served vegan pepperoni instead of proper pepperoni on one of the pizzas when that specifically was not required).

Ate a 2 course lunch here yesterday. Service was excellent. Food was good. The waiter was very attentive. When I stated I didn't want milk in my drink, he informed me about the milk products in a dish I'd ordered and asked if I wanted them omitted. Restaurant wasn't very busy at the time and food was served very quickly within 5 mins. Atmosphere was very pleasant. Very considerate and child friendly. I saw mums with babies there well-taken care of.

The food was good, pizzas were good size (not too small and not too big) and tasted as they should. Would've been all great, but it took VERY long to receive our food. We were almost the only customers in the whole restaurant and it still took us nearly 1 hour to receive our order. It appeared as if they accidentally burned our pizzas the first time so they had to re-make it, however, given that they had almost no other customers to serve there is no excuse for such incompetence. In retrospect, the name of the restaurant is very ironic given my experience.

Visited here for a few occasions and I have never had any negative experiences with the food. It is always made to a decent standard especially for the price. Unfortunately I don't think waiting 45 minutes + is acceptable to be waiting for a pizza. We also had to wait for our table even though we had previously booked. Perhaps it is because I have only gone during weekends or half term which are busy times - the staff are also not the friendliest, however you can see how stressed they are so I imagine this is why! Going forward might just order a takeout to save the stress!

Was given a voucher at Christmas to use for our Anniversary, unfortunately we decided we couldn't make it out so decided to order it and collect. Was unable to use the voucher on-line, so I called the restaurant and placed the order. Was told it would be ready in twenty minutes. I drove over to the restaurant and arrived a few minutes early, I was told they were quite busy and it would be ten more minutes. Not a major issue so I took a walk for then ten minutes and headed back. On arriving I was told it would be just two minutes........ Twenty minutes later my food is ready. On arriving home which is a couple of minutes drive, I found the pizza warm and the garlic bread cold. Taste wise they were good pizzas just very disappointed with their collection service. In future I will stick with dedicated take ways when eatting in.

Lovely team but unfortunately on this occasion our waitress "forgot to tell the kitchen we'd finished starters.... 1 3/4 hours for 2 courses! The manager was great and discounted a bit for us but the waitress did need to pay a bit more attention. Don't let this put you off though the food was great😁👍🏻

Very very noisy on my visit with my family. Had a large party in which ruined the atmosphere for everyone else and the staff did nothing to help. Food was quite greasy and was dripping off the food making quite a mess. Location is central to the city and parking is ample. There are better places to eat.
