A simply superb Italian restaurant in the heart of Preston. Fully accessible for anyone in a wheelchair and staff could not do enough to help us when we arrived and left. The restaurant has an accessible toilet. We ate late afternoon on the fixed menu served all day at weekends - £18.95 for 2 courses at the time of writing. Excellent value for money as the menu was extensive - both Italian dishes and others. Portion sizes were just right. I would not hesitate in recommending Angelo's - families, couples, groups but perhaps not for a quiet romantic meal. Acoustics were the one downside - one or two noisy tables soon make it impossible to hold conversations easily.

Loved it here, the place is beautiful and clean. Staff are extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. The food offer is great value 3 courses for £23 and they are generous portions too, se expect to leave full! The only missing star is due to me and my partner booking a table for 2 and being sat directly next to a table of at least 10 for a boozy birthday party. We were unable to hear ourselves think never mind talking, but the waiter did move us after we asked. But I don't think a single table for 2 should have been located so close in the first place. Away from the negative, this place is unreal and we will definitely be returning.

Never disappoints! Always been a fan of the San Carlo restaurant group and I’m so pleased Thad Angelo’s is back open again. Great good and quality drinks along with too service. My only criticism is the current menu prices for the two-course deal at almost £17.95 which used to be £11.95 and has quickly increased by 50% over the last couple of years (likely due to COVID perhaps?) Just a note to flag. Will likely return here soon or to another in the group 🇮🇹

The food was very good until the desert. However the service was mediocre at best, pleasant but no real interaction with staff. The service was slow and we had to wait a long time between garlic bread and starter which considering the place was empty because we got there at 2:30, shouldn't be the case. The starter and main course were excellent and you couldn't fault the quality however when we got onto the dessert, I ordered the tiramisu which was again really really good however the meringue nest that my wife ordered was rock hard and needed my help to break the meringue up into edible pieces When we brought this to the attention of the server we were told yes we know, that's why we broke it up into smaller pieces before serving. We know it's Windows below par but we're going to serve it anyway As this was the first time visit we want me to return in anytime soon

The staff were incredibly nice and polite, the whole place is very well presented and tidy. It feels quite exotic, which was a little nerve wracking at first but the prices of the food luckily didn't scare me off, so that was all well and good. All meals are priced quite fair, and when my food arrived it was presented beautifully and tasted incredible. It's a great place to go on a date, or perhaps have a meal during a special event. I'd recommend this place and I'll be dining here again.

Fantastic time had by all in celebrating my sons graduation ceremony from Manchester University with a masters degree in mechatronics. The staff are very attentive, friendly and helpful. The food is excellent and the quality is also very good. Considering the amount of alcohol consumed, the bill was very reasonable. The refurbishment is very nice indeed giving a light and airy atmosphere with which to dine in. BRAVO TO Sidney and his staff.

I'm glad of the understanding and tolerance of the servers in this establishment. I know full well a restaurant like this is a gamble when takings your 4 month old but I booked in the hope he'd sleep through. It was the wife's birthday and there was no way I would break tradition, we always go away for a few days and eat at some of the best places in the area we are staying. The reception was amazing and attentive, the menu inspired, the "wet" vast and inclusive and the decor and ambiance authentic. We only had opportunity to enjoy 2 courses and we were beyond happy with both. Antipasti, delicious and the oils and aceto accompanied had real flavour. Crab ravioli had a sauce that matched the sweetness of the meat perfectly, the choice of allium surprising but hit the note. Unfortunately the boy made it his mission to disrupt the other diners so we had to make a quick exit so as not to disturb others, on leaving we received a respectful fair well and descended the hill to the car park with a sense that we had missed out....... In summary, great place, great staff, great food. The only disappointment was having to leave prematurely. Thank you guys.

We where a large party and had starters as well as mains, waited over an hour between courses, no one mentioned a wait. Our garlic bread was thrown on the table almost knocking over our drinks and then the empty plates sat there for a while. I ordered the farfalle al salmone which was an absolute joke, there was barely any salmon in it at all and the only thing I could taste was the tomatoes. My partner ordered the carbonara which he left nearly all off which was dry. Our overall food bill came to £350 not including drinks, overall we all agreed it was overpriced for what we actually got on the night and not up to usual standards. The 3 stars is simply for the bar staff and 1 of the waiters who took the time to apologise about how long it took when he cleated our mains. We arrived at 7pm and left around 9:45pm with most of our party still hungry and opting to go to the nearest takeaway for food

Went here for a meal with a friend for the first time. The starter was amazing, the pork belly was so delicious and I loved it. The main was also okay, I expected it to have abit more taste, however for the price I can’t complain. It lost stars with its service, the people who work there are nice enough, however one waiter kept making sexist remarks, which I didn’t find as appropriate. We asked about desert when we were ordering our mains, however the guy told us it is better to wait ‘becusee the woman will keep changing her mind’ and then when we finished our food, the same waiter came and gave us our desert menu, however we were so full we couldn’t eat desert and the same guy remarked ‘see I told you she would change her mind’. It wasn’t anything too offensive but I did not really find it funny. Apart from that it’s an okay place to eat.

A large modern two floor restaurant that has a certain wow factor as you enter the glass front doors. Floor to ceiling glass wine store catches your eye immediately. I was very excited to get seated and have a great night of dining with my girlfriend. Service was adequate all be it waited quite a long time between drinks to first course to main course. One waiter had a very loud whistle that started to grate. Having a conversation in this place is hard enough as it's a very noisy place due to size and no noise damping furnishing. The food would be adequate in most cases but for the price was below par. My pate starter with cranberry was nothing special with ratio of pate, bread and butter all wrong. There was more butter than pate and served with white sliced Toasted Warburton bread. I just would of expected better. My Lasagne was again nothing special. Edible but not of any real flavour or consistency that crys a good lasagne in the slightest. All in all I would say this is a modern, clean looking restaurant with OK service but with absolute basic food most people could cook better themselves. This is only based on what I had of course. But when you order a lasagne in an Italian restaurant I would expect better. Probably would never choose to eat there again.

This was my second visit here and I attended here as part of a party of 8 (with 2 kids) on a busy Saturday evening. Food was really very nice, can find no fault with it what so ever; the oysters in particular were beautiful. Service was very good with diligent and friendly staff and the price was more than reasonable. In fact given how nice the food was I was very surprised at just how reasonable the price was. Would recommend this place wholeheartedly.

Food was good, reasonable prices the only thing that let the venue down was the volume of the eatery! It seemed to be very loud indeed (we were in on a Saturday night and we're booked in from 8pm) wouldn't have said it would deter me from returning but I wouldn't consider it a venue to take my mother and grandfather to as they both have double hearing aids and so this would be too much for them. Will definitely be returning at some point though!

The food choices were restricted to the fixed Christmas 3 course menu, but within that list was a good variety of dishes, not just the usual limited Xmas offerings. Absolutely delicious....loved every single scap of our 3 course meal. Fantastic home made authentic Italian food. Beautifully presented, tasted divine. Can't rate it enough. The best meal I've eaten for years. We both loved it. It was a fantastic atmosphere, great staff, attentive service and a brilliant price. £19.90 for 3 gorgeous courses. I had fish cake with a side salad and chilli mayo to start. Carapelle orchard I think it was called... for main...which was chicken in a wine sauce within a pancake with an outer cheese sauce...delicious. Sticky toffee pudding for desert. My friend had the chicken wings starter, the steak main in a rich sauce and bread and butter pudding for desert.. Amazing. 20 out of 10.

Didnt say anything but our waiter noticed I wasnt eating and quickly dealt with it. The manager came over and apologised, slightly put out that the another manager told me him and the chef disagreed with my opinion but overall felt it had been dealt with amazingly. Been here before and always enjoyed the food so unfortunately this was just a blip- totally recommend Angelos to anyone looking for a nice lunch or big family party or a romantic evening out- or any occasion really!

Despite being located in a somewhat uninspiring street, this is one of Preston's best restaurants. You will go a long way to find better Italian food than this. Imaginative menu , quality ingredients well prepared by excellent chefs in an open kitchen. Front of house staff friendly and welcoming. Decor and general atmosphere rather chic , very relaxing.

The fusili pasta was huge and very nice. My pate was not as good as say Mezzo for example. I asked for no salad I got salad with dressing and I can't have dressing. This amused the waiter with glasses who seemed to mock us both when I asked him to make certain it would not contain vinegar in the tomatoes. For the food and pizza and pate I prefer Mezzo so it's not a place I would try again. It's beautiful inside. Our experience we got what we specially asked not to have and we were mocked. Second time of trying and again underwhelming, food and a waiter who isnt from a science (like me!!!!) background made himself look like a total fool. Mezzo much better food and staff.

Had the 2 course set menu here on a Friday lunchtime, not the sort of place I usually goto for lunch...which I call dinner...but it is one of the wife's favourite restaurants & as wifey was paying(£15:99 for 2 courses) I didn't object!.Had the minestrone soup as a starter which was ok, but after tasting our lasses garlic mushrooms I had to admit that I chose poorly. Made up for it though with my choice of main meal...Pig's Cheeks in a red wine sauce with horseradish mash, this was a truly superb dish that will have me going back to Angelo's again...I might even pick up the tab next time 😉
