Really nice 3 course meal with my Husband. We did a date day and came to Bella Italia for lunch before heading to the cinema. Lovely atmosphere. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Being a lunch time on a Thursday there was only 4 or 5 tables occupied. Would go again for sure. Beautiful food & cocktails!!

Wonderful food and great price! If you want to go there for a nice meal with your friends and loved ones this is a great place to go. They have some really nice food and do a wide range of drinks as well. Perfect place to go after a busy day. Staff are nice and friendly the food service is pretty quick too.

Lovely lady Lucy she was serving us tonight. Lucy has excellent customer service skills helpful, polite great knowledge of all food served also asked about allergies and the 3 course meal we had was amazing. Good value for money. We will be back with the rest of the family.

We had a lovely evening, family dinner, 3 children 2 adults, our waitress Sima which we believe is also the manger, brilliant and a credit to the restauarnt, food was lovely, youngest was 9 and he ate every mouthful, when taking children to restaurants these are the most important people at the table, and the whole dinner went smoothly. Pictures don't do the food justice, for a chain restaurant you did good. Thank you. Keep it up.

Well never thought I'd do a 3*but last night seemed to be a bit of a nightmare! Walked in after reservation of a table for 4..and all around the restaurant was people complaining about how long the food was taking? We got there at 5:30pm ish... Took 40+minutes just for our drinks to come out! 🤦‍♂️ Some chap had been there since 4:40pm and his drinks had only just got to his table at 6pm..now the food was very lovely when it came out but guys when you see table bookings coming in and more and more bookings are being made!? Get staff!! There was one staff member in the toilets on her phone!! Whilst everyone was running around like a headless chicken!! 3*🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

A good evening spent with nice food. First time trying the mini calzones. The chilli jam really improved them, without it I wouldn't have them again. All food arrived promptly and was piping hot. Can't say it was the best pizza I've ever had but that's due to personal taste not that there was anything glaringly wrong with it overall.

I would definitely recommend the Carbonara - it is to die for. Only reason this is a 4 star review is because the restaurant had a strong smell of cheese upon entry. Going out as a family with a 5yr old having allergies is hard work!! As soon as we walked in we were asked about if anyone had any allergies and explained which items on the menu were safe. Thw waitress and chef was communicating back and forth and informing me if any changes needed doing. My daughter was able to have a full meal with tasty food that looked like the food her brother and sister were having. Plus when we went in half term for every adult eating a meal kids got start, dinner, pudding and a drink for £1 which was an added bonus!! :)

Brilliant meal. Victoria was a brilliant waitress. The food was perfect too. It was not too busy but the first girl ( a larger woman) insinuated that being a bit late for the booking was a problem. I love my time at bella italia! Great selection of cocktails and wines. They even have a vegan and gluten free separate menu now which is good so you don't have to worry about finding different places to go. Great selection of pizzas, pastas and little tapas bits to share. Always really enjoy myself and team are always friendly

Very good restaurant, we were a group of 6 with a gluten free and 2 vegans in our group and chose this place as there is a good menu choice for everyone. We did book ahead and would recommend to do on a Saturday night as the place filled up quickly after we arrived it got very busy. We where served quickly, for each course, tho not rushed thro our meal. So well done to our waiter, Ludovico, he was brilliant and very cheerful. Good selection of cocktails and mocktails that went down well! Clean place, friendly welcoming staff, lovely tasty food, reasonable price. We will be back again thankyou.

First and foremost, I have to give a shout-out to Veronica for having offered such a great and wonderful service. Truly outstanding. When it comes to the food, everything is good but sometimes some things may lack a little flavour, or at least that's my opinion. The wine is good but a tad expensive. The desserts are all pretty good, but the cookie dough is definitely a must. Very beautiful and cozy restaurant.

I spontaneously pop in for a light snack and drinks with my friend and our babies on 08/09/21 in the evening! Only to receive EXCELLENT service, as soon as we got to the door. The waiter helped us with our push chairs and ensured that we were as comfortable as possible. And then, to our delight, we were waited on by the lovely Linda who really brightened our day with her positivity and kindness. The rest of the team also ensured that we were happy throughout our experience and helped us exit with good energy! Although the food wasn’t the best we’d very very highly recommend visiting this branch!!!

Have been going here for years but last time I visited unfortunately wasn't great. They have changed the menu, and the children's portion sizes and options aren't as good as they used to be. There used to be options of chicken/cod goujons but these have been taken off. My children had the pizza and it was so small it didn't fill them up at all and that was with them also having garlic bread as a starter. The meal I normally get has changed and tastes completely different. It's a shame as me and my family have been going here for so long but don't think we will be going as regularly as we did.

It would be easy to have given a negative review to Bella Italia, they were understaffed and closed the restaurant to any non bookings to try and cope. The two front of house staff were amazing, and working really hard, the barman also came out to help get food to the table. It probably wasn't there night the lemonade was not right but once brought to their attention it was resolved straight away. The food was ok a little cold as it took a while to get to the table. The olives were amazing! On a night when they were clearly struggling they were trying their best. Well done to all the staff, myself and my niece's had a lovely evening which ultimately was the most important thing.

Starters have got very small, salad for £3.45 was a joke, tomatos were over ripe, and a very small portion. Mains were good once the correct order was delivered and drinks were wrong, deserts ok, they were very busy but this place has gone downhill a bit.

Our table was hard up against a serving station on which dirty napkins and glasses remained throughout several staff visits. We moved ourselves when two members of staff crowded round the station as if we didn't exist. Drinks came quickly but we had to ask for someone to take the food order. My husband's food was not very hot but his complaint was swiftly and courteously dealt with, the staff were pleasant throughout and the food was good. Hot taps in both women's and men's toilets sprayed water ferociously.

Fantastic service even at full capacity on a Saturday night. Our waitress was brilliant with our child and made her feel special. Food is of a high quality and at a good price. I've never had a bad meal at a Bella Italia, they have got their whole setup correct. If the restaurant is full it will be quite noisy, but that is expected and shouldn't be a criticism of the place.

I have to say that the best of the night was the service, very friendly and attentive. They also offered me to change something on my plate which I didn’t like. On the other hand, main dish was average. I won’t say was bad because it wasn’t but it was not good. I ordered chicken breast and it came on it’s own with no sauce or anything like that, just plain chicken breast cooked the same way I would cook it on my place. We have ordered cookie dough for dessert and it was delicious. Although they tend to do student discount, employee when to ask and they didn’t do it for us.

I went in bella italia on Monday and we had a great time! Still a bit afraid because of the current situation, but i found a very clean place, and the Covid-situation was handled amazingly, staff always wearing a mask, sanitizing the table constantly. A big thank you to the manager and staff for being so wonderful! I was pleasantly surprised at the varied choice, especially as the menu was reduced, and in my experience many restaurants have reduced/cut their gluten free choices! Great atmosphere and the food was simply delicious!! Would highly recommend!

Went on a Sunday afternoon and the restaurant was less than half full. Unfortunately service was disappointing from the go. We were walked past whilst waiting to be seated on several occasions by various staff members without any acknowledgement, our waitress was unhelpful when I had a question and walked away before I had finished speaking, and our drinks were forgotten about until we flagged somebody down to ask. On the other hand, the food was tasty and the portions were generous. For two courses and a drink, the bill was only £15 per person so the price was very reasonable. I would return to Bella Italia; however, not to this location.

We had a fantastic meal here for with a fifty percent discount for our main meals. There was no need for a reservation and the staff were all very helpful and friendly. The food was to a high standard and was brought to the table at the perfect times. They even gave my son and daughter a balloon to take away with them which was a very nice touch.

I had the pleasure of walking into Southampton Restraunt (SO14 1JX) on 12 December 2020 and was warmly greeted by Manager Sima. It asked to sit looking at Park gardens opposite. A pleasant waitress Nicola cheerfully took my order of: set 3x course meal ; delicious every time, piping hot and well presented. With dessert I asked for a Latte, and the coffee machine was out of order ( delayed by repair man); Sita immediately resolved the issue with alternative choice’s; I decided on Baileys on ice. If you are worried about how the seafood is here, then worry no longer as this restaurant does a pretty good job at making lovely calamari and nice meaty mussels. Went with a group of friends on sunday evening & there were so many dishes that weren't available for one reason or another! It became a bit of a joke when the waitress came back again & again to tell us something wasn't available! The food we did eat was ok, the service was ok but slow! Aside from this the ladies toilets were absolutely disgusting! They smelled really bad, like drains & 1 cubicles toilet seat was removed from the pan & placed across the opening of the pan...totally unusable! Another cubicle the toilet seat was completely covered with toilet paper, again you wouldn't want to use it! A bit disappointing really, probably won't go back to the Hanover buildings restaurant again. Shame

I think the waitress's name was Georgina, she had dark hair. Was absolutely fantastic, didn't bat an eyelid at the eyewatering list of dietary requirements my partner and I have and didn't get funny about me asking repeatedly to double check (having had a bad experience recently elsewhere). Very busy with good atmosphere. Unfortunately kitchen fell behind due to take away orders taking presedence over seated customers. In reality this was a poor effort and the food took over 70 minutes to arrive. It was over cooked and dry. To be fair to the manager he dealt with this well. He personally delivered the freshly cooked food and waited until I tasted and checked it was ok. I use Bella Italia about 4 times a year and it is very hot and miss. It also varies from restaurant to restaurant. If you get a discount code it can be good value for money but at full price the food is over priced.

With the likes of the American chain 'Olive Garden' in mind I was quite cautious when it came to visiting Bella Italia. I really need not have been so worried! The restaurant is comfortable, pleasantly decorated and colourful. The service was polite, quick and effective - it may even have been too quick! We opted for a sharing platter to start, and this was just perfect for four of us to enjoy. I personally had spaghetti and meatballs, which was just marvellous, while my wife enjoyed her wild boar tortelloni and my parents tucked into lasagna. We also indulged in some cheesecake for dessert and it certainly did not disappoint. The portions were generous, the bill was reasonable for Southampton and I was very pleased that we had chosen this restaurant. To top it all off we received some vouchers for a discount on main courses in future. I really struggle to criticise my experience at this restaurant. Perhaps the service is less effective on weekends and the cuisine may not please purists, but it certainly exceeded my expectations.

My friends and went for lunch on saturday we had a pleasant lunch. I had grilled chicken with a sweet and sour sauce and vegetables and my friends all had the salmon filet with vegetables it was cooked well and the staff were friendly and efficient. Would have been perfect except the condition of the toilets the toilet seat was broke and there was wallpaper peeling off the wall. Definately needs some money updating and mending!!!
