Have had lunch here a couple of times. Always the food has been top notch. Very yummy and service size is perfect. Prompt service and price range was equal to all similar places. Only thing is, I felt that including some entertainment like some books/ notes about the history/ anything (like how other places are doing) to read would increase the footfall more!

The food here was pretty decent, not the best Italian food but the experience was definitely close to it which is why I gave it a 4 star overall. It's hard for myself and my family to give away 5 star when it comes to Italian food since we grew up in Italy, so I'm sure it's understandable to most why we marked down on food. The atmosphere, however, was very Italian. The owner was very hands-on and always wanting to interact. We went on Christmas Eve and it was fun trying out this restaurant for the first time during the holidays. Conversations with the owner and their staff was fun and friendly. Would definitely come back again, it's nice to have a taste of home!

Lovely laid back Italian restaurant in shirley, with excellently presented food. Excellent pizza and pasta chefs. Good value wine list. Relaxed atmosphere and you can visit for just a drink. Extremely clean.

Wide selection of different Italian food. Not the best Italian I have had. I had the insalata carpresse (tomato and mozzarella) and the tomatoes were clearly not fresh or anything special, tasted like the average 90p pack of tomatoes from Tesco, and they cost me 8 quid for the salad. I had the seafood linguine which was nice, nice portion, but again cost me 16 quid. So overall spenny. The service was good and nice atmosphere. Wouldn’t really go back as it wasn’t anything special.

The food was outstanding. However.......service could have been better- one of the waiting staff didn't seem to have any urgency about them told us 3x that they were coming to take our order but it seemed that polishing cutlery was more important- we were eventually served by a different member of staff. The toilets are very tired and in need of a refurbishment.

Puccinis, awesome place with attentive staff, we went there for a 3 o clock meal on a Saturday and it was very quiet but I think we got good attention because of this. The food was typical price, not silly expensive but not cheap. Really good quality I had the T bone steak and it was massive. If you go on your birthday the birthday boy/girl doesn't pay which is a bonus. Toilets and cutlery were clean and the food came out fast. All in all I was impressed

Order was incorrect , a pepperoni was served as a cheese pizza. Pepperoni was quickly heated and reserved. An Arribiata with chicken was served just pasta. Chicken was flash fried and reserved. Chicken was only just cooked. A shame as we usually love it here. Chef seemed rather disinterested about it.

Not been for a while but my Husband wanted to go for birthday meal and it was a bonus that you eat free for your birthday although that clearly depended on what you wanted to eat. He wanted the steak which wasn't included in the free meal. They did agree to put one of the other much cheaper meals as the free one so I guess that helped. We ordered 2 lots of the 3 mini dishes for £12.50 but one was ordered as a starter and the other as a main so this got a little messed up and they brought out a couple of wrong dishes for the starter. We were told not to worry and they would be on the house but alas they had been added to the bill for an extra £9.50! One glass of white wine cost £7.20 and one glass of house red cost £6.25!!!! Most I have ever paid for house red! Not all staff were wearing masks and one that was clearly didn't know that they are pretty useless if not covering your nose! Friendly staff but very expensive meal for a family of 6 and I suspect that prices were ramped up due to being 2 days off new lockdown measures. Unlikely to return. Could have eaten at our favourite Italian restaurants much cheaper even without a free meal.

We visited as a family of 6- ranging in age from 16 to 83. We were very well looked after. Great service and fabulous food in a relaxing environment. Definitely recommend. Will be visiting again.

Puccinis has always been our restaurant of choice if we just wanted to pop out to eat rather than eating at home. Good menu, decent prices, good service and consistently good food. We've eaten there since the night they opened and always been pleased. Sadly, they seem to be under new management and it's not started well. The menu and prices were unchanged but the service was below par and the food ranged from distinctly mediocre to inedible. You know something is wrong when you send back a dish and watch the kitchen staff reading the menu trying to work out what should be in it (and doing such a bad job that the replacement was left uneaten). All with warm white wine to wash it down. I'd have given two stars but I've upped it to three because of their previous quality (in the past they'd have had five). I hope they can sort things out.

The pork was mouth-wateringly succulent and flavoursome,the Yorkshire puddings beautifully made and the roasties perfect. The apple sauce was also excellent. The roast chicken was beautiful too. The smoked salmon canapés were also lovely. A fitting "last supper" and we will definitely be ordering takeaway through lockdown.

This is my family's go to Italian restaurant. Fantastic, family friendly atmosphere. All of the staff are long term employees and it is great to see them time and time again. Fabulous food cooked in an open kitchen with a great wine selection. Birthday guests get to eat for free and the loyalty scheme is a welcome bonus. Cannot recommend highly enough.

The food is very good. But I think it's overpriced. The service was a bit slow but that's because there was 3 groups in, a 12 and 2X8. Also they don't wear a uniform so you don't immediately know who's who. The lager is a fair price though at £4-25.

Whilst normally not a fan of Italian, I could come here again and again. Clean and welcoming restaurant, indoor and outdoor seating with glass sliding doors. Excellent menu from starters and sides, to pasta, pizza, and meat dishes. I had the warm ciabatta with olive oil and salad, and an incredible crab linguine with fresh parmesan. Not the best beer/cider menu. Friendly service in good time. Accommodated vegan and GF dietary requirements.

Went this eve .was bit busy took ages to serve drinks .I went up to bar they said they will be over to us to take our order .20 mins later we ordered. There was an older guy passing us our food .touching the cutlery with his hand old food all over his clothes.(Did not look professional at all.looked like they took him off the streets to help) .passed food over by leaning over our food to pass to our 3rd party.armpit leaning over the food .food wasn't even nice at all . When we rang was told 50 per cent off food and drink .asked for the bill they forgot about us waited another 20 mins so i had to go up,and get it.(waitresses was have some argument with each others about changing tables or something) .when we got the bill they said only food was 50 per cent off not drinks .(we had large bottle water and a coke) ..very disappointed in the service and the food .been here few times and never been like this. Gone down hill .won't be returning any time soon

This is a great little local Italian restaurant. Affordable, friendly staff, family friendly. I went with friends and had a fab night. Simple Italian food - decent sized portions and a large menu so lots of choice. I had garlic prawns followed by their chicken and mozzarella dish with salad and it was delicious. The highlight for me was their mini dessert menu - all the joy of dessert, none of the guilt of wrecking your diet! The tirimisu was to die for. I'll definitely be going back.

My meal was good but my dad's steak was tiny. They serve your meal on a massive plate and give you the tiniest amount of food. When the food came out in front of my father, it looked like me paid all that money on a bit of meat and the plate! It really was disappointing because it was some good steak too. 😕🍖

Not quite the best I have had, but if you prefer a slightly thicker base than the usual super-thin-crust stuff you get at artisanal pizza places then you'll love it here. Local italian restaurant in Shirley. My bday was Saturday so we went Sunday lunch for family meal & I was able to take advantage of their free bday meal. Main menu choices only which was fine by me. The staff were very attentive. Always clearing glasses & plates promptly between courses. Food served hot & without too long waiting (there were 11 of us so we pre ordered our mains). Have eaten here before & will definitely be back again.

I had a brilliant time here at Puccini's, this restaurant has been a family favourite of ours for at least a decade now, the staff there always friendly and welcoming, the food is especially amazing, I had the Italiano Pizza which is delicious, but before I was a vegetarian, I'd have to recommend the grilled Tuna steak is fantastic, one of my favorite dishes at any restaurant. In addition, they do a great offer where if it is your birthday you can eat free (look ok their website for T&C's. Overall, hard to fault, there's a reason that we've gone back year after year.

Food was really good! Enjoyed the atmosphere. Service was not great- my date was ignored and not asked about a drink order. Arrived about an hour before closing and finished our meal and asked for the bill about 10 min before restaurant closed but still did not receive it and leave until 40 mins later (half hour past when they were supposed to be closed). Staff seemed to want to rush us out when we arrived but as our meal was winding down and we were trying to leave we were totally ignored. Asked for bill 3 times and it was still not brought to the table, eventually just went to the till to pay so we could leave. Other more hospitable restaurants on shirley high street just disappointing bc food was quite good.

Great local restaurant with good food. The menu hasn't had much of an update in a long time, but there's always specials on the board to add variety. The kitchen is open, so you can see what is going on. The prices are fair and they operate a stamp collecting system which gets you money off a meal when you're making repeat visits

Good food however be careful when booking a table. We paid a £10 deposit expecting it to be deducted from the bill however because some of our party couldn't make it we forfeited the whole deposit. We were not made aware of this when booking otherwise we would have phoned to let them know in advance.
