A regular date night spot. Always lovely and friendly staff. Very accommodating with our baby's pram. Service is fantastic, food was amazing as always. Even when full during lunch service they never faulter in their hospitality. Can't fault it. Highly recommend

A typical Pizza Express nestled awkwardly within a fantastic old building.
The food was of course as expected tasty, fast enough but not so you felt rushed and reasonably priced. The service was attentive and polite.
The dairy and gluten free kids pizza was among the tastiest we have found, so top marks for that. The BBQ burnt ends was top notch, not too spicy but with enough heat.
The toilet is out the back of the restaurant across a shared hall so you needed a pin to enter it. A bit contrived but the best they could do I suppose. Had the toilet not felt like a 1980's British Rail platform toilet it'd be 5 stars.

Have always had good experiences at Pizza Express. The pizzas may not be especially unusual but they are, to me, much better than the average. Prices are as expected. Service is usually very good. So what is not to like?

Not like I remember it. I visited with my family on a Bank Holiday afternoon and the place was soulless. No music, dirty tables, dire table service. The waitress clearly didn't want to be there either.
My kids had pizza and we had pasta and a chicken Caesar salad. The pasta sauce was not fresh but the pasta nice. The salad sauce was closer to salad cream than Caesar dressing.
The only positive was the use of the app which allowed you to pay, but I was waiting to give a physical tip to the waitress (they had changed over whilst we were there and the new one at least smiled), but the attention was lacking and couldn't get her attention so paid in the app and left.

This is a nice restaurant and friendly, helpful staff. Eaten pizza here before and they taste good. On this occasion, I tried a pasta dish. This was not a good move for me. Nothing wrong with the meal they brought but for me, not as enjoyable as the pizza. Others would enjoy it.

On the plus side, the pizza was really good, four of us and we all had good food. But between ordering and receiving the food, we had to wait an hour. I suspect that the kitchen gives priority to take away orders, we watched several delivery drivers come and go. We were going on to a show, so we couldn't enjoy eating and this rather spoiled the visit.

The waitress was fabulous. The gluten free vegan mushroom pizza was average. I liked the gluten free, vegan dough balls. There were very few vegan desserts. Not worth the money compared with other vegan eateries.

Pizza express in Truro is set in a beautiful old building in the center of town. The service was very attentive but not overly so and all three of our meals were well presented. I would highly recommend this venue.

What a lovely relaxed meal at Pizza Express Truro today. One of my party was gluten intolerant and the waitress was very knowledgeable and able to offer advice. The gf pizza 🍕 was served on a different coloured plate. What a simple and great idea so nothing gets muddled up, thank you. All the pizzas and lasagne were very tasty that we had. Pizza Express is in the lovely old Coinage Hall which is a very impressive building. Thank you to all the pleasant staff who made us feel valued and very welcome. Whilst not local, we do visit every time we are in Truro, and will return one day soon.

Pizza Express are usually pretty consistent throughout their chain and this is no exception.
Reliable food, fast and friendly service. My only complaint would be that the toilet at this particular location is an odd arrangement outside the actual restaurant (although in the same building) and is rather old, tired and bordering on disheveled. No where near bad enough to put me off going back though.
