Went for a meal this evening, had to wait by the door for 5 minutes before even being seated, the staff members were just acting like we weren’t even around at first. The place only had around 4 tables in. Once we got seated our waitress was great served us quickly and food came out quick within 15 minutes. The other staff members just seemed to have been lounging around and when a family came in to ask if they had to book or if they can just have a table for them they got turned away to say they haven’t got availability. It was frustrating because the place was empty almost and there was plenty of seating around. Around us when people started to leave it took the staff over 30minutes to start clearing tables and clearing and cleaning them which isn’t acceptable considering COVID and that the place wasn’t even busy. Also none of the staff were wearing masks at all and it felt quite unsafe as the cases are currently rising. The best part was the quality of food, I personally think that the staff need to be more on the ball and to also be COVID safe. I will not return until I know things have changed.

Wonderful food and great drinks selection but slightly let down by the layout, it's almost impossible to move away from your table without bumping into other diners. KFC and McDonald's offer more space per table to give that context.

Really nice staff, however not good value for money. 600ml bottle of beer for £7.00 is ridiculous. You just leave with a feeling that you’ll never return.

Really disappointed with the delivery today, I ordered a gluten free pizza and unfortunately the one that arrived wasn't - it was also late. I rang up and they said that they hadn't received a GF order and even though I could send a screenshot I'd have to contact deliveroo. What a waste of money. There's good GF options but not sure if the staff are fully trained on it. Previously when I've been in the restaurant we ordered chicken wings and I googled the ingredients for the sauce because they didn't have the usual one, and it contained barley. I'm giving it 3 stars because despite this, they do serve high quality takeaway.

Service was a bit slow but i think they only had one server on duty. We weren't in any kind if rush so it wasn't an issue for us. Vegan options very limited especially on dessert .... sorbet or sorbet.

One of the great things with the pizza expresz chain is that the experience is pretty much guaranteed. The staff friendly and helpful. You know the food is reliable. I'd recommend any really. Been to a number, inside London, Manchester, Liverpool. In smaller towns and always a good experience.

A little more expensive than other chain restaurants but this shows in the service, the venue and quality of the food. The pulled beef pizza was among the best I've ever tasted. Made for a perfect birthday celebration with my partner.

We always enjoy our visits to this pizza express in Stockton heath it's very clean and tidy lovely cooked food. Pity the coffee machine is still out of order last 2 times we have had to froth our own at home coffees.staff are always happy to help.

This Pizza Express is ok, but not the best. We ordered our drinks, they took about standard time to come (aprox 5 mins) then we ordered starters and mains, they also took average at about 10-20 minutes. The food is really nice. At the end, we asked for the bill, the bill came, but we wanted to pay with card, so we had to wait for them to get the card machine, this took more than 20 minutes. We guess they forgot about us, in the end we got that fed up that we almost left without paying. We called someone over and sorted the payment out. Because it took 20 minutes to get a card machine, we did not leave a tip. THIS RESTAURANT NEEDS NEW MANAGEMENT!

A few issues with the service but the server was excellent. Resolved the issues quickly and without fuss. Had a taste card deal which made it pretty good value. Drinks were hideously overpriced.

I walked into this fine establishment to feast my eyes on what I thought to he prince Andrew eying up a 12 year old cake he didn't order I sat on the table after he left and saw the most disgusting mayonnaise remains under the table which my daughter found the best she had ever tasted with her chips, wouldn't have a doubt in my mind, wouldn't break a sweat to go again.

Food is always nice and healthier than a domino's however the takeaway service is somewhat to be desired, i have had multiple takeaways but despite arriving on the time recommended (often an hour after ordering) i have ALWAYS had to wait for my order to be cooked, normally the food hasn't even been made up yet or put in the oven. I do wish that they would give correct pick up times and save me hanging around in the doorway for upwards of 15 mins.... all that being said the pizza is more likely the best in the area and this wont stop me using them.

Came in for lunch and is very quiet during the day, nice quiet atmosphere. After having a bad experience at another, this one was much better, good access to facilities for all. Although there is no parking outside there is a pay and display nearby which is very cheap. £1 for 3 hours

Unfortunately they were unable to provide Romaine or “cos” lettuce with the ceasar salad I wanted to order and let’s face it... it wouldn’t be a ceasar salad with the offered replacement of mixed leaves now would it. Having worked in hospitality for 10 years I would always make sure that we could provide our guests with whatever we were offering on our menu, even if that meant checking local supermarkets for produce that we may have ran out of before service started. The “bolognese” rigatoni was extremely over cooked to a point where half of it was cremated so was inedible. I understand it’s a Pizza express and although my partners pizza was luke warm, the rest of the table were very happy with their orders. Being on a special diet my choices are limited and unfortunately I did not enjoy my meal on this occasion.
