This place has amazing food and more amazing staff. The wait staff was very attentive and took time to recommend us the food. Give it a try. You will not be disappointed. The seafood linguine and pan fried seabass was really good.

WOW! You need to go here! The food is by far the best I've had, everything was freshand very tasty, quality ingredients clearly cooked with love. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Great atmosphere and quick service even at busy times. This is probably the best restaurant in Watford. Definitely will go again and recommend it to others. PS. The dessert was fantastic! 👏

I did not plan to go out to the restaurant but I was hungry and I searched for something Italian in the area. After seeing the 5 star reviews, I had to give it a try. I've started with Bruschetta and then I had to go for the T-Bone after looking at someone else's review and I can tell you that person said it all. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you want to try the best Italian food in Watford. Do not go into the trap of chain Italian as they are serving mostly frozen food.

We stopped for cold drinks and shade from the heat when temperatures hit nearly 40 while on holiday from Ireland. It was perfect and we were made to feel very welcome. Waiter was so helpful and attentive, food was delicious. We had the lunch special two course for £11, excellent value. We had risotto and pasta, both dishes were fab. Would definitely recommend.

Visited IL Pellegrino on Saturday Evening with my wife, it was a freezing night and as soon as the door opened we were greeted with a warm smile and seated. The Space between the tables and even the angle of the tables are well thought of at the restaurant, from the meeting we arrived you can see that the owners of IL Pellegrino are only interested in making sure your experience with them is First Class! My first course was Calamari... it was spot on, lightly dusted with a thin batter with a little bit of salt and fresh lemon slices to compliment the dish! The waiter asked me what I liked to eat and recommended the T-Bone Steak. I consider myself a steak connoisseur (Gaucho, STK, Goodmans etc) so I was a little sceptical that this would hit the standards I want. WOW WOW WOW!! The T-Bone was cooked to perfection, It was Juicy, Succulent and when cutting it was like a hot knife through butter! No Wrestling the steak here. Despite having 2 amazing courses I had to try the desserts and our waiter recommended the Tiramsu, I went with it. Amazing, it was just spot on, not covered in coffee so you cannot taste anything else and melted in your mouth - This is worth the visit alone. If you are a local in Watford go, if you are not local still go and there is a car park a 1 minute walk away and its £1 per hour so do yourself (and your family and friends) a favour and go go go... Amazing food at more than affordable pricing!!

After a great night at the Palace Theatre, we popped in here to have a coffee, as it looked inviting having had a refit. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, bringing our drinks straight away. We decided to have a look at the menu for future reference, but the selection on offer made us hungry so we ended up ordering a starter, with an order of bread as a little snack as. We both had the aubergine parmigiana, which really was mouth watering. The rustic white and brown bread was served warm with olive oil and balsamic dip, perfect. Will definitely be going back for a proper meal soon as we both thought the atmosphere was lovely, staff friendly and if our starter is anything to go by, the food is 1st class too.

Not knowing the area at all we found this lovely restaurant using Google maps & reading the reviews - it did not disappoint. Friendly, welcoming staff were efficient and gave great advice on menu choices. The food was amazing! Bread to start … so delicious, we had a variety of pasta & pizza dishes for mains - again absolutely delicious & the desserts were of the same high standard. Amazing food, a relaxed , welcoming atmosphere and excellent service - I would highly recommend an evening meal here. Sadly being from the North of Scotland it will be sometime before we might visit again but if we were closer I’d definitely be a regular!

Watford's best kept secret ! I found myself facing the dilemma of really wanting to write a glowing review or not writing anything in order to keep the secret to myself ! If you're in search of a good Italian restaurant in town, and by good Italian restaurant , I mean proper, market fresh cuisine beyond pizza and pasta, Il Pellegrino is probably your best bet. I found both service and food to be beyond expectation whilst value for money is really good... and I hope it stays that way. The dish in the picture is "Spigula in Padella " (pan-gried seabass fillet with herb mash) which I recommend in a heartbeat ! To the team at Il Pellegrino, well done guys, keep up the good work !

What a wonderful place to have Italian food in Watford! We were initial not sure if we should go as they didn’t have pizzas on their menu. But the staff told us they can do pizzas as well! The staff was lovely, the food was very fresh and the desserts were great too! Def recommend this place and I will go back again in the near future. Good luck to the entire team.

Worth seeking out. This lovely restaurant is a real treasure. Great Italian food and the service is impeccable. It has a good menu that's got enough variety without being overwhelming. I've been here a couple of times and didn't order pizza, but I've just seen it and I'm going to be back soon!

Wonderful little Italian restaurant. Service was good, menu is not big witch should be a good indication of quality of food. Prices was reasonable. Spaghetti and pizza for mains were delicious with the teen finishing all her pasta and then diving into my bufalina pizza.
