Benny and Ritchie were at property today in Invereskt Street, Glasgow to clean out the attic/loft space of pigeons and their mess. Not only cleaned the mess up and left the communal stair well clear and tidy, they have blocked how the pigeons were entering the attic until it can be properly fixed by other company. They have gone beyond expectations.

I had Chanlon come out as part of a boiler replacement offered by Eon which was removing an old standard boiler and hot water tank to a new worcester combi boiler and I couldn't have asked for a better job. The lads that came out Darren Kirkpatrick and an course worker on placement did a fantastic job. When being initially quoted by Eon they had stated that carpets etc would need to be lifted and a new pipe fitted under the first floor landing which I was a bit apprehensive about however the lads managed to source a pipe from my old boiler in the kitchen which would feed the gas to the new boiler upstairs without having to lift any floors etc. The 2 days they were round they were on time first thing in the morning and didn't leave until late. They also rang the gas board to sort an issue with my shut off valve to ensure everything was safe and ready before turning the new boiler on. C Hanlon also had an Electrician and Roofers come out and they also done a cracking job. All workers were friendly and kept me well informed and would definitely use them again. Best of luck to the lad on placement as his work was great for someone technically in training. Thanks again

Total refurbishment on a 4 bedroom unoccupied house after a flood from tank in attic Craig Graham, Project Manager, took me through the extensive work to be done and was very helpful throughout the 11 week period and did a very thorough inspection of completed work. The central heating boilers at our home both failed suddenly last week during the very cold weather. We have a complex heating system that domestic engineers are unable to deal with and I knew that we needed a trustworthy and professional team. I called CHanlon and discussed our system and problem with Mark, one of their managers from the Commercial team, who came himself the next day. He gave us a clear understanding of what had happened and arranged for repairs to be performed urgently due to the weather conditions. The engineers, Darren and Ian, came out a few days later and, over the next 3 days, they removed the old boilers, fitted new ones, and did a overall review of our system. This wasn't a straightforward case of swapping out old for new - they also had to create custom fittings to link into our system, and their skills and knowledge were clearly evident. They always arrived promptly at the time we had been told, worked hard whilst on-site, and left the area spotless at the end of the day. There's a reason one sees CHanlon vans everywhere - this is a trustworthy and professional company, and friendly as well. I'd recommend them without any hesitation. Thanks for all your help!

Well handled from start to finish. Mr Burnley oversaw everything and worked with us to arrange access to suit. Tradesmen arrived as agreed. Stephen was very professional and made sure there was minimal mess. Unfortunately we were unhappy with the plasterer (not the quality of work) and this was dealt with swiftly and professionally. Dean the painter did a great job of the room and tidied up really well even offering to Hoover. We are very happy with the standard of work and the way our insurance claim has been dealt with. Would be happy to use again.

We had been out of the house far too long and it was good to see daily progress once C Hanlon were appointed. W Burley kept me up to date with progress frequently which was good as I was often unable to visit and ensured main issues were rectified. Overall the guys involved did a good job with flooring, skirting, decorating, removing and refitting kitchen etc. I have not given a 5 as I think attention to detail could have been better in some areas of finish.

C Hanlon were given the install contract for our new combi-boiler through a deal we have with EOn. The engineer Steven McCarroll was excellent throughout the process explaining every aspect of the job and completing the work in a far shorter time than we expected. Such work of removing old equipment and making necessary changes for the new install creates dust and debris. Steven ensured the kitchen floor was covered and cleaned up any mess created leaving the cupboard floor were the boiler was installed looking a lot cleaner than I left it for him this morning. We are very pleased with the ease of install and the level of workmanship Thanks Steven for a great job.

C Hanlon recently repaired our living room after it was damaged due to water leakage in the floor above our flat. Repairs were carried out promptly and efficiently even with some unforeseen problems such as possible asbestos in the ceiling that was missed on the initial checks and the requested laminate flooring not being ordered correctly and not being in stock anymore. These problems were rectified by both the staff and the workers on site who put in the extra mile sorting them out for us. Wullie Burley was the initial project manager for our repairs and his friendly manner and helpful knowledge allowed us to understand what was needed from us and he kept us fully informed of all the work required as well as projected dates for the repairs. Unfortunately the timing of our repairs meant Wullie was on holiday for the duration however communication with him prior meant we still felt prepared for the work to be done. The living room ceiling was completely replaced and plastered be Glen and it looks amazing. He also was the worker who had emergency tests done for asbestos. The floor was replaced efficiently by the joiner Dave and his apprentice and they done an excellent job. Dave even drove to stores himself to source the required laminate flooring when the wrong amount was ordered allowing the work to stay on track. The ceiling and walls were painted by a very friendly man who's name escapes me right now however he managed to paint everything ahead of schedule and even painted our skirting boards which wasn't originally one of his task's. All in all I'm very happy with the service they provided, sure there were unforeseen problems but the Workers on site dealt with them efficiently and professionally. I would definitely use C Hanlon again in the future.

Despite a number of unexpected issues with my repair works (insurance work), such as unknown 2nd ceiling with Asbestos, 2nd leak after repairing the ceiling, the team handled all aspects of the repairs, leaving me to not worry about chasing different contractors and 3rd parties. C Hanlon engaged specialist 3rd parties on my behalf and subcontracted, saving me the hassle. They worked until complete, sometimes well into the evening, which was appreciated. The quality of the work cannot be questioned either, you would not know any work had taken place in the house once they had completed, including patching the emergency plumbers access points. They even came back the next day to clear up some excess plaster that wasn't quite spotted when they originally finished (due to the late working and therefore false light). Special mention to Wullie, the project manager, who kept me updated throughout, and was always available whenever I asked for an update, or wanted to know the next step in the process.

Recently C Hanlon carried out stripping and restoration work of a bathroom, hallway and kitchen in our property as part of insurance proceedings following a flood from a neighbouring property. The Project Manager, Scott Frame, was excellent, he really took the time to answer our queries, talk us through what was going on and ease our worries throughout the proceedings, he showed great patience with us when we were continually bending his ear! The quality of the work was high overall, particularly from Hanlon's in-house guys, and proceeded at a good pace. Special mention goes to Hanlon's tiler Scott who did a smashing job with tiles that were more than a little footery, but the other, less obviously visible work was of an equally good standard. The work left us with almost no complaints, in fact the only thing letting the side down was a sub-contracted painter and decorator who did a job that could at best be described as patchy, and will need to be corrected by us ourselves after numerous attempts at getting a quality finish from him failed. Overall I wouldn't hesitate to use Hanlon again, and would also recommend them to anyone looking for a competent contractor.

Just had a new bathroom fully fitted by this company and just wanted to share what an amazing job they did! We had water damage from a neighbouring property and our full bathroom including floorboards and a wall had to come out. I was really nervous about the amount of work this involved but after meeting with Wullie and his team I was immediately put at ease as I knew I was leaving it in capable hands. We started with what was a simple downstairs shower room and ended up with a full family bathroom that can be enjoyed by us all including the baby! The communication from both Wullie and Stephen from discussing how I'd like it to look right through to picking materials and the smaller finishing touches was spot on. Graham the tiler Allan the plumber and Dean the painter all worked really hard to complete work as quick as they could so that I could still use down stairs for meal times with the family and not have extra tidying up to do before serving dinner! The standard they set was impeccable and couldn't fault any work carried out by the team. Would recommend them to anyone looking to update or improve on their home and will 100% be using them again for any future changes I decide to make to my home!

Took a complaint for that to be resolved. Their "we aren't builders" excuse was ridiculous to be fair. Shame as their boiler work is very good

Whilst helping a neighbour with an insurance claim dealing with consequential water damage I met two representatives of C. Hanlon. Andrew Sinclair (operative) and Scott Frame (Project Manager). Andrew was very professional and listened very carefully to the owners questions regarding the process and timing of the repairs, he protected the surrounding area of work and made sure that all steps to be taken, were explained to myself and the owner. In particular the method of repair to the ceiling fire barrier between the apartments. Scott Frame was asked to attend the property to advise on the specific process of repair and reinstallation of the statutory performance of the fire barrier and method of repair. The repair was made by using a an approved sealant which had a certified retardant duration of 4/5 hours. A really excellent professional job with customer satisfaction and great attention to fire safety regulations. May thanks to you both on behalf of the owner and myself.

My insurance company appointed this company after a house fire at my property, the full house was damaged and I was dreading the works starting after hearing horror stories about insurance contractors in general but this could not be further from the truth about C hanlon. They came out with 2 hours of the fire starting and made safe the property and the repairs started within 2 weeks which from speaking to others is very quick for the amount of works required. The works completed on Friday and I could not be happier with the finished product!! I would highly recommend C hanlon

Well where do I begin, C Hanlon were appointed by Oriel, to do remedial work to horrendous flood restoration works carried out by another cowboy company. I was at the end of my tether and was at breaking point fighting with the other company and the appointed loss adjuster and my insurance company for almost 2 years. I went to the CEO of Allianz and numerous others at this point as my life has been hell for the prev 2 years. The CEO was amazing and he appointed a senior person to come to anagreement to put everything right. They then appointed C Hanlon to correct all the issues . They appointed Oriel Jim Christie who appointed C Hanlons and for the first time in 2 years I feel at peace at long last every single tradesman has been amazing from the joiners to plumbers and decorators also to Ross Ferguson who did the flooring which was the biggest issue. I cannot thank Wullie Burley who over seen everything from C Hanlons and kept me in the loop ever step of the way as I was out of my home. He also was brilliant as he seen how distressed I was before the works commenced and was compassionate and empathetic as to be fare I was by this point a bit of a basket case. I could of honestly cried when I seen what a absolutely amazing job had been done in fixing all the flooring to the kitchen issues to the amazing wee decorators finishing touches ... They truely employ only the best and the workmanship and proffessionalism of this company and there tradesman is second to none and I think can not be beaten by anyone out there. Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou from the bottom of my heart for giving me back my beautiful home which had been wreaked by the cowboys who were employed originally by the loss adjusters. During a recent holiday water pipe in loft froze and created a considerable amount of damage resulting in the house being uninhabitable for several weeks. The house went under a period of dehumidification before the insurers appointed C Hanlons to carry out the repairs. Over the next four weeks the work was carried out in a most professional way headed by the Project Manager, Scott Frame. The various tradesmen always turned up in time, were always cheerful and carried out their work efficiently. All trades left the house each day tidied up. Initially it seemed a long time but this was because we had to live in the house once dehumidification was completed, but all carpets and much of the furniture had been removed. Not ideal but Hanlons did a superb job in completing the job as quickly as possible and making life a bit more bearable. Thanks to all at Hanlons for a job well done.

I could not have wished for a better firm. All the personnel involved were sympathetic, courteous, and extremely professional. Willie Burley, project manager, was exceptional. Not only did he have sound knowledge of the work to be done by various tradesmen, but he was very supportive, offering advice when required and always easing a traumatic situation. Cant thank this company enough , i had a fire which destroyed my kitchen and caused awful smoke damage to my home after months of waiting on insurance giving the ok the work began in March .Then the covid lockdown happened which halted things ,was asked if they could do anything to help me as i hadnt moved to other accomidation ,they plumbed in my washing machine for me which was amazing no more running to laundries or family . The C Hanlon workers who attended to our drainage problems have all been really good, determined to get things working again and allow us to use sinks and toilets. They were working in some horrible weather conditions but that didn't hold them back, they just got stuck in without any moans or groans, at least not within our earshot.
