BBS Plumbing and Heating helped with a temporary repair to our ailing boiler over the Christmas period and then installed a new boiler when the old boiler finally gave up the ghost. Bernard and his colleague Jack were courteous to a T, and took the time to explain in helpful detail what the problem with our boiler was, and then swiftly and efficiently installed a new boiler at a competitive price. They were an absolute pleasure to deal with -- really considerate guys who personify professionalism.

Re-piping & thus improvement in the effectiveness of our central heating. In the 22 years in our home, I have spent thousands of pounds attempting to improve our heating, the outcome was never sustained as hoped, probably not least because the impairment in piping wasn't recognised. On his 1st visit Bernard recognised ('diagnosed') this. He & Jack worked discretely & on the last day several hours overtime . Our heating has never been so evenly effective throughout the house!

We asked BBS to supply and fit a new boiler. They provided an excellent, high quality and good value service. The engineers worked very hard and completed the installation in a day, staying late to finish the job. Bernard was very helpful - he provided advice on which heating system would best suit our needs, fixed a problem with our old boiler whilst we were waiting for the new one to be fitted, and spent time explaining how the new boiler worked, and how to get the best results from it. I would recommend BBS to anyone looking for help with similar jobs.

Every step in the process with Bernard and his team at BBS was simply exemplary. From the initial quote [visit], Bernard clearly demonstrated both his knowledge and his ethos of conducting works to the highest standard. After receiving the (extremely competitive and visible) quote, there was no "sales" pressure; Bernard was more focused on ensuring I understood the quote and the proposed works were right for me. Subsequently, the work was carried out to the highest standard by the competent, polite and friendly team at BBS, whilst any questions I had along the way were dealt with with embodied professionalism; nothing was to much trouble. After experiencing an initial nightmare with British Gas engineers (which resulted in requiring a new boiler), I'm glad I found a team I can trust in BBS.

I don't write reviews often, but I know how important they are when you are looking for a good tradesman. I needed a complete overview of my heating system and was confused by what I had heard and read. I had done lots of research and looked at lots of reviews. The first thing I would say is that Bernard is very knowledgeable and very patient and takes time to ensure you understand what is happening and what is required. He and his team replaced my boiler and carried out other bits of work done incorrectly by previous installers. Any queries I had afterwards were promptly dealt with. He genuinely seems to care about the service he has provided for you and will check back with you to make sure everything is ok. Having experienced shoddy customer care and questionable work from previous engineers, it was very refreshing to work with someone who was the opposite of this and very professional. If you are looking for a professional heating engineer/plumber and want things done properly, and at a competitive rate, then you can't go wrong with Bernard and his team.

We've used BBS a number of times over the past few years on our own boiler and both of our daughters' boilers. Most recently, our ten-year-old Vaillant stopped working. BBS's man Talil showed up the morning after we rang them, swiftly figured out what the problem was, sourced and fitted a new pump and air filter and did a full service, including emptying the grit trap. It took nearly 3 hours, but they charged us for only 2 hours. Did an extremely neat job, very courteously. At £299 + VAT, including the parts, very good value indeed. I thoroughly recommend these guys. Bernard, the owner, is by far the best I've come across at diagnosing what's wrong with boilers and heating systems.
